ఏపీలో ముందస్తు ఎన్నికలు. ప్రతిపక్షం పదే పదే చేస్తున్న ప్రచారం. 60మంది ఎమ్మెల్యేలకు ఈసారి టికెట్లు రావు. సోషల్ మీడియా ఊదరగొడుతున్న అంశం. ఈ రెండు వైసీసీ సర్కారుకు ఇబ్బంది కలిగించేవే. అందులోనూ నాలుగు ఎమ్మెల్యేలు కోల్పోవడం.. నలుగురు ఎమ్మెల్యేలు టీడీపీ పక్షాన నిలవడం.. మరింత కంగారెత్తించే విషయమే. ఏమాత్రం ఆలస్యం అయినా.. అబద్దం నిజమై పోతుందనే భావనలో ఉన్న జగన్.. తాజాగా వీటన్నిటి మీదా క్లారిటీ ఇచ్చారు.

ముందస్తు ఎన్నికలకు వెళ్లేది లేదని.. షెడ్యూల్ ప్రకారమే ఎన్నికలు జరుగుతాయని సీఎం జగన్ తేల్చి చెప్పారు. గడప గడపకు మన ప్రభుత్వం సమీక్షలో భాగంగా.. ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఎన్నికల ఫలితాల తర్వాత తొలిసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేలతో సమావేశమైన జగన్ సీఎం పలు కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసారు. వారిలో మానసిక స్తైర్యం నింపే ప్రయత్నం చేసారు. 60 ఎమ్మెల్యేలను మారుస్తారనేది దుష్ప్రచారం.. ఏ ఒక్క ఎమ్మెల్యేను పోగొట్టుకోవాలని తాను అనుకోనుకోవడం లేదన్నారు. ఒక్క కార్యకర్తనూ కూడా పోగొట్టుకోవాలని అనుకోను అన్నారు జగన్.

ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఎన్నికల్లో గొప్పగా గెలిచామని ఏదో మాటలు చెప్తున్నారు. 21 స్థానాలకు ఎన్నికలు జరిగే 17 సీట్లు మనమే గెలిచామన్నారు జగన్. ప్రభుత్వం లబ్ది చేసిన 80 లక్షల కుటుంబాల్లో కేవలం 2.5 లక్షల మంది ఓటర్లు మాత్రమే ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఎన్నికల్లో ఉన్నారని, వాళ్లంతా రకరకాల యూనియన్లకు చెందిన వారని సీఎం జగన్‌ అన్నారు. ఎవరికైతే మంచి చేశామో వారిలో ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఓటర్లలో తక్కువ మంది ఉన్నారని, ఈ ఎన్నికలు ఏ రకంగాను శాంపిల్‌ కాదని జగన్ కొట్టిపారేయడం గమనార్హం.

కొంత మంది వాపును చూసి బలుపు అనుకుంటున్నారని ప్రతిపక్షాలపై మండిపడ్డారు. ��న్నది లేనట్టుగా, లేనిది ఉన్నట్టుగా భ్రమ కల్పించే ప్రచారం చేస్తున్నారని ఫైర్ అయ్యారు. మనం మారీచులతో యుద్ధం చేస్తున్నాం…అసత్య ప్రచారాలను తిప్పి కొట్టాలని ఎమ్మెల్యేలకు సూచించారు జగన్.

రాజకీయాల్లో తాను నాన్న దగ్గర నుంచి నేర్చుకున్న అంశం ఏంటంటే రాజకీయం అంటే.. మానవ సంబంధాలు అని జగన్ అన్నారు. మీతో పని చేయించి.. మిమ్మల్ని మళ్లీ గెలిపించాలనే ఈ కార్యక్రమాలు చేపడుతున్నట్టు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ అడుగులన్నీ కూడా దానికోసమే అన్నారు. కొన్ని కోట్లమంది మన మీద ఆధారపడి ఉన్నారు. ప్రజల్లో మీ గ్రాఫ్‌ సరిగ్గా లేకపోతే పార్టీకి, కేడర్‌కు నష్టం జరుగుతుందని ఎమ్మెల్యేలను ఉద్దేసించి మాట్లాడారు జగన్. మనం అధికారంలో లేకపోతే కోట్ల మంది ప్రజలు నష్టపోతారని అన్నారు. అందుకే మన గ్రాఫ్‌ పెంచుకోవాలని సూచించారు జగన్. గడపగడపకూ కార్యక్రమాన్ని సీరియస్‌గా తీసుకోండని ఎమ్మెల్యేలకు ఆదేసించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమం జరిగితే.. కచ్చితంగా వైసీపీ గ్రాఫ్‌ పెరుగుతుందన్నారు. వాలంటీర్లు, గృహ సారథులు ఏకమైతే విజయం మనదే అన్నారు జగన్. ఆగస్టు నాటికి గడప గడప కార్యక్రమం పూర్తి అవుతుంది. సెప్టెంబర్ నుంచి కొత్త కార్యక్రమం చేపడతామన్నారుజగన్. ప్రతిపక్షాల రుమర్లను తిప్పికొట్టాలని సోషల్ మీడియాను బాగా వాడుకోవాలన్నారు జగన్.

Plan India Support My School

Several studies in India have revealed that lack of basic amenities like toilets, access to water and basic infrastructure creates an unwelcoming and non-conducive environment in government schools. This leads to a high rate of absenteeism which results in children dropping out of school. In this situation, girls are often the most affected.

Plan India is a strategic partner of Coca-Cola NDTV Support My School campaign, which was launched to work on revitalisation of schools. The campaign that began with Coca-Cola, NDTV and UN-Habitat, has now grown to include many partners. The approach adopted was to work on sanitation plus a model involving NGOs, community members and the private sector. So in addition to new or revitalised structures, access to water was made an important component. In all, five components, depending on the school, were revitalised:

Access to sanitation

Access to water

Playing facilities

Environmental upkeep and rainwater harvesting (based on need)

Partner led intervention

Support My School is one of the biggest campaign of its kind in India. Through active engagement and leveraging various channels and through clutter breaking live television telethons, the campaign has reached out to millions across India, making them aware of these issues and how they can be solved together. The campaign is being implemented in 8 states, i.e. Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha.

Tackling gender inequality and exclusion

While the Government of India education policies work well to have children enrolled in schools, the issue needing most attention is retention of young adults in schools. One of the widely recognised reasons for children dropping out of schools is the lack of basic, age-appropriate, gender-and disability-friendly sanitation facilities, clean drinking water and a healthy school environment. Since hardware is prone to wear and tear, its maintenance was budgeted to make sure that children neither cleaned nor paid for cleaning. Even though children are trained on clean usage of toilets, the general upkeep is assigned to a cleaning vendor. The budgetary provision included cleaning materials to ensure dignity of labour.

Strengthening Plan’s accountability

Children, teachers and SMC members were involved during the assessment and planning phase for each of the schools. Before initiating the project activities, the list of items and processes were shared with the teachers and SMCs for the monitoring process. Orientation on child protection guidelines during the construction/renovation phase were shared with the key stakeholders. The contracts signed with the construction vendors ensured that no pregnant women and children below 18 years of age were employed in physical labour.

Budget 2024: A Forward-Thinking Approach Fuels Optimism Across Industries

On July 23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh consecutive Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, breaking the record previously held by former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. Budget 2024 marks the first Budget of the BJP-led NDA government since its re-election in June. The government has announced a new skilling program designed to train 20 lakh youth over the next five years through industry-designed courses.

“The continued emphasis on fostering investment and enhancing road infrastructure, especially in Andhra Pradesh and Bihar, will facilitate growth in the manufacturing and automobile sectors. Focus on private investment in infrastructure, mining, and the housing sector is also likely to boost the sale of commercial vehicles (CVs),” said Dheeraj Hinduja, Chairman, Ashok Leyland.

“Furthermore, the reduction in duties on rare earth minerals will help promote sustainable mobility, resonating with our commitment to fostering a cleaner and more sustainable future,” added Hinduja.
