TUMBLR Post  - Business Operations Plan discussion
Selling Space and things I need to launch business
Once I start my business from home and it takes off, I am planning to rent a small shop in Downtown Oakville located around the residential neighborhood of Oakville with efficient transportation system and nearness to production resources. The place should meet my requirements: there is enough space for operations; no repairs needed; location is convenient – easily accessible by the locals; no issues with supply deliveries; available customer parking.
The biggest advantage is that there is no complicated machinery involved in the production and the space needed is minimal. The setting must include 3 main areas:
Selling Counter. There is no need for the large showcases to be installed. I will need just a corner with box sizes (0.250g, 0.500g, 0.750g, 1kg) and the space for the cash register
Dirty Kitchen and Pantry. There must be an average size kitchen with the stove – to melt ingredients, large stainless-steel counter with stainless steel bowls and pots. This area will be for preparing the product and storing the supplies.
Packaging Area. Here the chilled product will be cut and packaged according to the orders. The key equipment will be fridge to chill the product, stainless-steel counter for cutting the product and the display tall fridge for packaged products
Therefore, the selling space is very basic and easy to accommodate. The other issue is to negotiate the most suitable lease contract with the lessor, whether it is an owner or a real estate company.
Purchasing Products
All the products that are needed for the creation of my product are quite accessible and can be found in bulk supply shops or even local grocery shops. This is the beauty of having a business that does not require complicated and scarce ingredients.  Therefore, I am not expecting issues in this area.
The products needed are milk, cookies, butter, chocolate disks. These can be purchased at Walmart, Safeway, Costco, and Sprouts Farmer’s Market.
As for the chocolate disks, I am considering World Wide Chocolate (424 NH-125 Unit 7 | Brentwood NH 03833, United States) who is a distributor of premium chocolate, confectioneries and specialty foods from around the world Chocolate Makers like Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and United States. However, at the moment there is no international shipping which means I would have to purchase the chocolate in person and ship it myself.
As a more achievable alternative, I can consider Gourmet Belgian Chocolate Bars by Leonidas - the company of the most popular brand of chocolates in Belgium and worldwide. With more than 1300 sales outlets in 40 countries, Leonidas has earned a reputation of Belgians’ favorite brand of chocolate.  At Leonidas they are using certified cocoa to make the chocolate. They opting for sustainable cocoa that puts humanity and the environment at the centre of their decisions. This perfectly suits my vision of creating healthy confections marketplace that are handmade in safe environment, not a factory and does not hurt the environment. There are no Leonidas branches in Canada but their products can be easily ordered on AMAZON:
Generating Resources for Your Service
Nowadays, many services can be outsourced it eases the tasks of the startup. According to my research and previous experience, the following tools are rather helpful and can save money and time because who needs an accountant if you have Tally Software?!
CloudApp. It allows you to take high-quality screenshots and screencasts to provide additional context to customers. Each image or video generates a link that can be shared to customer conversations. Also, they have an easy-to-use GIF maker to create short loop videos for instances when you need more than a picture.
Dropbox. It provides a centralized place to securely store documents, manage data access, and work together on projects.
SurveyMonkey. Manages multiple users and gain visibility into all survey data collected across your organization with admin controls and dashboards.
Tally Prime. Best licensed software for all business accounting and bookkeeping needs, like generating VAT-compliant  invoices, predesigned ledgers, access your business data anytime and from anywhere, business reports, books reconciliation,
Focusdeck. Business Process Outsourcing that have an experienced BPO team to handle routine activities in an organization in different technologies and Mobile Apps Development.
Motion Magic. Digital creator and Freelance illustrator and storyteller, Photography services, Social Media managers.
Sourcing Product in Time
Because the ingredients for my products are so common, the sourcing in time will not be an issue. There are websites and online supplier platforms available. Today’s grocery stores can carry upwards of 40,000 items in a single store which benefits and guarantees my pantry being stocked. An even if I ran out of 1 ingredient like milk or butter – I can easily have it delivered within 40 min in average by delivery service.
As for chocolate disks, I would need to contact potential suppliers, ask for samples, and evaluate suppliers. Moreover, having multiple sources for my products will give me:
Better prices
Insurance for supplies
Quality control
Who is Your Team?
I am planning to be a Sole Owner, as it is a small startup business. I am going to hire only 2 employees: chocolate chef and a salesperson.
For the delivery services I am planning to work with INSTACART that works with local grocery stores and pharmacies all over Canada:
(Fee: $3.99 to $5.99, or free for members (annual membership costs $99)
Availability: All provinces and territories except Nunavut and Quebec)
I would definitely need a cleaner for the shop, but I am planning to have a part-time employee that will only work 2-3 hours a day buy the end of the shift to prepare the shop for operations in the morning.
The accountant and Social Media Manager will be outsourced.
Do you need licenses permits?
I have to start by registering my business name with the Ontario Business Names Act. Business owners can also enlist the help of Ontario Business Central, an authorized agent of Industry Canada that works with the government directly to help businesses register, incorporate, change, or cancel their licenses.
Before launching my business, I would need to consult with a lawyer to ensure I have considered all the legal requirements. There will be an additional budget set for legal fees. However, to save budget, for some inquiries I could try contacting Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice (Hotline 1-855-255-7256).
Moreover, I would need to contact the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario: (Hotline 1-866-515-2025), to make sure that my business is accessible to people with disabilities.
Because my business is connected to food, I needed to find out if I need to obtain certificate from Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). After completing Licensing interactive tool - Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, I received a conclusion that I do not need license according to Food listed in Schedule 1 of the SFCR (Cocoa Beans):
“You do not need a license to send or convey food from one province to another.
However, if the food you send or convey from one province to another has been manufactured, processed, treated, preserved, graded, packaged or labelled in Canada, it is your responsibility to ensure those activities were conducted by a licence holder. [SFCR: 7(2); 15(1)(a)]”
Another big part would be to study the Food safety standards and guidelines, Proper Labeling and Storage.
If I will decide to conduct business from home, as per Ontario Ministry of Health, Home-based food businesses are allowed to sell low-risk, home-prepared foods and are exempt from certain regulatory requirements, such as specified handwashing stations in food premises, compliance with commercial dishwashing requirements and food handling training certification.
For Municipal Regulations, I would have to contact the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) (Hotline 1-877-426-6527) for information on what municipal regulations, licenses or permits will be needed to operate your business.
I need to visit government services or the Small Business Administration website to check whether I qualify for any tax deductions and credits because many local governments design special credits to help small businesses grow faster.
I am not planning to register my name or logo as a trademark or patent as name Choco Cookies is very common and the recipe is old, and it is no secret.
I am not planning initially to register my name or logo as a trademark as name Choco Cookies is very common.
I need to open Small Business Bank Account. I can arrange a meeting with a business banking specialist to determine which type of account is right for my business.

Soul Food – A cuisine straight from the heart
We all love to relish that dense sweet potato pie or the comforting mac and cheese. Yes, soul food has always had bold flavors and love in our hearts. Whether you visit a soul food eatery tonight or simply order some collard greens from the best food delivery in St. Louis, soul food is heavenly! But, how well do we know about the concept of soul food? How does this delicious cuisine come to life? So, let us discuss everyone’s all-time favorite – soul food.
What is soul food?
While most of us would think that soul food relates to the whole African-American community in the US, you might be wrong! Yes, soul food only depicts the cuisine originating from the landlocked regions of the Deep South. This cuisine typically emerged as an immigrant cuisine which was then popularised by the African-American population migrating to other parts of the US during ‘The Great Migration’ (the 1910s to the 1970s).
At that time, people used the term ‘soul’ to describe the black culture and people as ‘soul sister,’ ‘soul music,’ and finally ‘soul food.’ Today, many food businesses, including Brentwood catering services, food delivery services, etc., serve such original dishes and variations.
What do you typically get in soul food?
Soul food is a perfect amalgamation of hearty and light meals where you can typically expect:
Main course – Deep-fried chicken, fish, and pork dishes, smoked turkey, blackened salmon, etc.
Sides – Macaroni and cheese, collard greens, black-eyed peas, hush puppies, fried green potatoes, etc.
Other typical dishes might include sweet potato pie, potato salad, chicken pot pie, red drink, and more!
Is soul food different from Southern food?
As both cuisines originated from the Southern US region, you might find many similarities between the two. But soul food is known for a much more intense flavor profile and is mostly spicier, sweeter, and fatty than other Southern food dishes. However, most food businesses intermingle both cuisines and present lip-smacking fusion dishes today. That’s why the best food delivery services in St. Louis allow you to customize your ingredients and know the calorie count of the dishes too! After all, what matters are taste and health.
Wrapping Up
You might want a simple mac and cheese or crunchy fried chicken for the weekend night with friends. SareFood makes it easier to find your favorite dishes on their online marketplace and get your food delivered to your doorstep. Craving some Southern classics? Visit their website today to choose from delicious meals cooked by top chefs in the region.
FAQs
Where the term ‘soul food’ does come from? The term ‘soul food’ started in the mid-1960s when the word soul was used to refer to African-American culture.
Does the best food delivery in St. Louis provide soul food dishes?Yes, SareFood offers a wide range of soul food dishes from the best local chefs and businesses, including fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, Cajun corn, gumbo, and more.
What are the delivery days for weekly meals at SareFood? At SareFood, the freshly cooked is refrigerated and delivered weekly on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays.

Holiday Gift Guide 2020: The Best Gifts That Support Restaurants And Chefs
New Post has been published on https://perfectirishgifts.com/holiday-gift-guide-2020-the-best-gifts-that-support-restaurants-and-chefs/
Holiday Gift Guide 2020: The Best Gifts That Support Restaurants And Chefs
This has been a rough year for everyone, but chefs and restaurants have been uniquely suffering as they experience prolonged shutdowns and loss of business.
We all want to support our favorite restaurants and chefs, but eating out is not an option for many right now. To that end, there’s some brilliant online options that find ways to offer the support that is so badly needed right now, in a way that adheres to everyone’s stay-at-home and social distancing needs.
As the holiday season is all about giving, why not give a gift this year that also helps support the chefs and restaurants that are struggling right now?
 Me Sous
Me Sous
Me Sous is a super sweet gift box for a friend who loves cooking and also appreciates great chefs and restaurants. This grocery delivery service is unique in that it involves curated boxes ($165) based on recipes of New York-based chefs. The company was actually born during the COVID-19 lockdown, when so many restaurants were closed and more chefs were cooking and creating at home. Me Sous uses recipes provided by local chefs and then uses the same sources as the chef would use to provide the ingredients to make those recipes. This helps the struggling industry in tons of ways, from hiring chefs, to working with local suppliers of groceries, to donating proceeds to ROAR and Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation.
MingsBings
MingsBings
Bings originated in China, and is a delicious small filled flatbread or dumpling. MingsBings ($60), from celebrity chef Ming Tsai, is a vegan and gluten free spin on the bing that includes superfoods such as edamame, watercress, pepitas, garlic, ginger red onion, shiitake mushrooms and brown rice. Ming Tsai created MingsBings after his wife got a cancer diagnosis and had to transition to a strict vegan diet – that sent him on a mission to create a delicious plant-based meal option for anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle. MingsBings also contributes a share of its profits to two foundations very close to the chef’s heart: The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Family Reach, which is a charity focused on alleviating the financial strain of a cancer diagnosis for families.
Baltaire Reserve Label Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Reserve Malossol
Baltaire Reserve Label Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Reserve Malossol
It’s hard to be a restaurant this year, and that includes high-end restaurants. For that reason, many of our beloved spots are offering favorite products and dishes online for purchase!  Baltaire, a steakhouse based in Brentwood, just launched its reserve Tsar Nicoulai caviar for nationwide shipping.  This caviar ($125) has large beads with a creamy finish, which will be the perfect finishing touch for your holiday meal.
Bartaco Signature Hot Sauce Trio
Bartaco Signature Hot Sauce Trio
Do they miss their favorite taco spot? Bartaco, sells three signature hot sauces ($20) to recreate the experience of a night out at home, including Habanero, Jalapeño and Roja. The Habanero is super hot while the Jalapeño also has a good kick. The Roja sauce is more mild, but packs tons of flavor.
STK Meat Market Masters Collection
STK Meat Market Masters Collection
STK is perhaps the trendiest of steakhouses and the new STK Meat Market is an amazing way to get the incredible steakhouse experience but right at home, and at a good value too. The Masters collection ($399) includes a whopping 12 steaks (that works out to under $25 a steak!), dry steak rubs, recipe cards, and a $100 STK dining credit for when they are ready to go out again.
Bobby’s BBQ All-Purpose Seasoning
Bobby’s BBQ All-Purpose Seasoning
If they really love BBQ, a great seasoning can be the perfect holiday gift. Bobby’s BBQ is beloved by those who love Texas-style barbecue but happen to live in or near Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Their signature barbecue rub is what keeps people coming back, and it is available in three flavors – Original ($5), BBQ ($6), Citrus ($6) –  that are now available for nationwide shipping. These seasonings will be perfect for upping their meat smoking prowess or sprinkling on anything they throw on the grill.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib Vintage Salad Dressing
Lawry’s The Prime Rib Vintage Salad Dressing
Lawry’s The Prime Rib has been around for nearly a century, all that time, only one salad dressing – Lawry’s Vintage with Sherry Wine – has ever been served on the”Famous Spinning Bowl Salad.”  For anyone who misses that amazing salad and wants to try it at home, the dressing ($35 for four bottles) is now available online for nationwide shipping.
The Summer Shack Lobster Pot Pie
The Summer Shack Lobster Pot Pie
Is there any comfort food better than a pot pie? How about one with lobster?  One of New England’s most beloved seafood restaurants, the Summer Shack, now has their Lobster Pot Pie ($60) available for nationwide shipping. These addictive lobster pot pies have a creamy base filled with potatoes, carrots, dry sherry, heavy cream, green peas, shallots, garlic, thyme, and one pound of lobster meat all packed into a soft buttery puff pastry. A perfect holiday meal!
Katz’s Deli Taste Of NY Package
Katz’s Deli Taste Of NY Package
This is an incredible gift both for those who can’t get to New York this holiday and those who just really want to support a restaurant institution. Katz’s Deli Taste of NY Package has something for everyone, with one pound of pastrami, one pound of corned beef, one small hard salami, half loaf seedless rye bread, one quart of sour pickles, frankfurters, buns, mustard, sauerkraut, and classic NY bagels. It’ll be a perfect gift of holiday brunch to the lover of New York-style deli (who also wants to support the most famous of them all!).

GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR LOVED ONES THROUGH VIRTUAL DINNER PARTIES
Tumblr media
It’s the second quarter of 2020 and people are not able to host any in person parties or gatherings because of the coronavirus pandemic. A stay at home order has been set in place and people are asked to practice social distancing. This is a sad reality and it may take a while before people can once again share food with friends and loved ones in a French restaurant, for instance.
But entertaining does not have to mean that you and your guests need to gather around the same table. You can sit at separate tables in different locations and still enjoy a party together. But all these need to happen over the internet. You can use apps like Facetime, Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Skype. There will be no scheduling conflicts aside from making sure that your virtual dinner get together happens after you all clock out for the day from your jobs. Plus, if you burn the chicken because you were also cleaning the house while cooking, only you would be the one who’ll eat it.
What’s great about a virtual dinner party is that you don’t have to spend months or even weeks planning for the event in a French restaurant Myrtle Beach. You can just text your friends a few days before, set a time, and share a meal or drink together, virtually. It will be a lovely way to create that sense of community for a few hours even if you are not together physically. The food won’t be the main event, everyone will focus on being able to talk, unwind, and relax, even if you are just doing it all online.
Make The Needed Preparations
It is important to prepare even if you will only have a dinner party virtually. You should ask yourself if something will be boring to watch. For example, if you are watching a cooking show, you wouldn’t want to watch the contestants grating cheese or chopping onions right? You also don’t want your friends to see you doing the same thing. It’s fun to cook while on the phone but see to it that you’re on the part of the recipe that’s easy to do and allows you to still maintain a conversation.
Let Your Friends Show Up When They Want
It is ideal to have all your friends on the call when you start the party. However, if a friend is still finishing something for work, let them join later on. It’s just like being late to a party. They can still join even if they arrived a few minutes after.
Dress Up
Don’t show up wearing your pajamas. Put on something nice before the call. Since it’ll be a video call, they’ll still be seeing you and you want to be presentable.
Not a cook? Order Take Out or Delivery
The Brentwood Restaurant & Wine Bistro offers Takeout, Curbside, & Delivery services.
For soup and salad, you can choose from Soup du Jour, She Crab Soup, Brentwood Salad, to name a few.
For the entrees, your options are Chicken “Rockefeller,” Beeler’s Pork Ossobuco, Braised Beef Short Ribs, Shrimp Chardonnay, Maine Lobster Bake, Grilled Vegetable Napoleon, and more.

Pizza Chronicles (Post 29) 3-26-14
Last week my son Nicholas turned in his two weeks’ notice at the pizza shop where Donnelly family members have worked for the last several years.  Nick said he needed to concentrate on his grades and get in better shape for his upcoming enlistment into another family business, the United States Navy. On the whole, turning in his apron is probably a good decision.  Nick will have less cash with which to customize his truck, in the near term, but concentrating on school will shore up what I think will be a bright future for him. It still seems a shame that neither Nick, Abby nor will I be rolling dough or spreading sauce anymore.
Tumblr media
Actually I never rolled much dough or spread much sauce and nary a pepperoni did I distribute among the tasty curds of mozzarella.  I made a few deliveries, bussed tables, stocked the salad bar and washed a bunch of dishes.  I developed near ninja level skills with the deep sink spray nozzle over several years of weekend work at Straw Hat.
Pizza delivery was not the career opportunity that I came to California to enjoy.  I accepted an offer to work in Richmond as a Kaizen Sensei to launch my new career as a Lean consultant.  Knowing that the cost of living was going to be much higher in California as compared to Indiana, Pam and I carefully budgeted our spending and did a pretty good job of executing our plan.  Unfortunately, our strategy did not account for paying twice as much per gallon of gas and exchanging a ten mile daily commute up and back on a farm road for a one-hundred and twenty mile round trip on Route 4.  Our budget proved to be as fanciful as the romance novels to which Pam used to be partial.
Pam went back into the work force first.  She got rehired at Sears where she had worked when we lived in North Carolina, but this time the only openings were in the automotive department so Pam became very smart about cars very fast.  While I didn’t want to work a second job, I agreed to interview for any job for which Pam forged my application.  Although I was not highly motivated to do hourly work to makes ends meet, Pam’s enthusiasm was all that was required.  She got me set up for an interview within about a week for an assignment in distribution and logistics of food products.
I was soon pulling in extra pay as a pizza dude.  I am still not certain why I was hired as I had nothing in my resume that would indicate that I would be a passable delivery driver.  Initially, the experience was horrible.  I discovered that my eyesight had degraded and I could not read the addresses on the delivery tickets in my darkened car. Also we had just moved into the area so I was unfamiliar with my Brentwood, Antioch and Oakley delivery Region. I got lost at least once each weekend. Nor had I ever worked in a restaurant. In between deliveries I was expected to bus tables and do dishes.  Learning to bus tables is not something a man wants to learn in his mid-forties.  Also, needless to say, I discovered I had very little in common with my young coworkers.  I talked to no one. For the first several months I spent much of my time pleading with God to allow me land an alternate job twirling an advertising sign on any available street corner.
As far as I could tell, my prayers were ignored, but over time, I discovered some good things about my weekend occupation.  First, I began to become less arrogant in my full-time job and around my family.  It is hard to maintain a superior attitude towards people when you spend a good amount of time bussing tables.  Also my weekends spent actually performing manual labor made me more effective at observing and improving efficiency of people doing manual labor at my other job during the week.  I also realized that I had been largely wasting my leisure time anyway.  Instead of spending weekends with my family or using the Lord’s Day to learn more about God, I had previously wasted my Saturdays and Sundays in idleness. Because I was squandering the great gift of time that God had given to me, He took it away.  Finally I discovered that I liked all of the young people that I worked with on the weekends and saw that many of them were facing difficulties in their lives.  I began to pray for them.
My weekends delivering Italian munchies throughout the local Brentwood area got even more enjoyable after several years when through ceaselessly bothering my managers, I arranged first for Nicholas to be hired at Straw Hat and then Abby.  It might sound strange but working a minimum wage job with your kids is pretty fun once your arrogance has been kneaded and rolled down to a manageable level.  I would give them tips on my best dishwashing techniques and they would make fun of my lame incompetence at actually making pizza or taking phone orders.  Finally, Abby was promoted to shift lead and that just added to the fun for Nicholas and I who remained forever entry level minions.
Eventually Pam’s illness required me to retire from professional dishwashing, but I believe that God was satisfied that I had accomplished what he intended.  I still possess empathy for those who work for me at my day job and appreciate people who wait on me when I dine out or who provide services to me in stores.  I continue to pray for many of former my coworkers who tolerated my bumbling with good humor throughout my years of moonlighting.  I also maintain a much closer relationship with Nick and Abby than I ever expected to have.
It is with a bit of sorrow that I see the last Donnelly leave our common culinary employer, but the seasons of our life do change. I am very happy that God presented me with that little cross to carry for those several years.  His plan is always good despite my resistance, gripes and complaints.

Using Free Classified Ads For Article Marketing Purposes
If you want a risk-free, absolutely free way to advertise anything, well, the free classified online ads is one of the best venues to post your ads. But of course, just like any other online advertising endeavors, there are pros and cons in using the classified ads sites to expose your own advertisements for free and here are some of them. Did I mention that posting your ads on the many free classified ads will not cost you anything at all? Yes, I cannot stress it enough, if you are on a tight budget and you really want to put a squeeze on your advertising funding, one of the best options would be the free classified ads. The only investment that you will make with these postings is time. Your main opponent in the utilization of free classified ads in the posting of your ads is you. The response that you will get from your ad placements on the free classified ads will be solely based on how your ads were seen and perceived by your target audience, hence, all you have to do is create an eye-catcher of an ad that will captivate your viewers even for a split moment even if they are really on the lookout for something else. And this is very important, if you have a lot of great articles in store, then you do not post them all in clusters, instead use them sparingly and distribute them in as many free classified ads sites as possible. In fact, you can make a list of at least ten free classified ads sites and regularly send them articles and ads that you want to post. How do you determine which classified ads sites are better and which are not? The process is simple enough and all you have to do is place your preliminary ads in specific classified ads sites and assess their performance and from there you can pick the ones where your ads fare better. The title of your ads play a crucial role in the success or failure of your ad placements since that is the very first thing that your potential customers will see and how they interpret your title will determine if they will be clicking on your ad to see further what you have in store for them or entirely shoot down your enticement attempt by completely ignoring it. So create a great ad that is specifically targeting the demographics commonly populating the classified ads site where you will post your ads too. And this is what you should never forget, yes you are busy and you have other advertising and marketing priorities but one thing you should never forget is to monitor the progress of your ads. You can never tell when you ads are going to make those hits and when it comes, you should be really ready.

Helpful Tips to Choose the Best Catering Service in St. Louis Metro Area
We know how exciting planning an event can be, especially when it comes to delicious food! Whether a wedding, anniversary, Christmas party, etc., a good meal can be a deal-breaker. That's why you must remember some handy tips while choosing catering services in St Louis.
Decide your budget
Catering costs might differ according to your venue's distance, the customized menu you ask for, etc. Thus, do not hesitate to be clear about inclusions and exclusions when they send you a quote. A good catering service will always provide flexibility in their prices according to what you demand.
Check the availability
Since catering services need to be booked in advance, always make sure they are available on your event dates. You can check with a handful of different catering companies ahead of time to see which one fits your schedule.
Check reviews and references.
You can always refer to friends or acquaintances who have had past experiences with a catering service. Further, Google reviews and on-site reviews also tell a lot about a specific business and its service.
Experience and specialties
Well-experienced catering service in Brentwood will have specialties such as wedding catering, party catering, etc. Such caterers can also serve specific cuisines, for example, if you want only Italian dishes, Indian dishes, or no seafood menu, etc.
Check if they are licensed.
Since you will be feeding a large group of people, ensuring their safety is crucial. Thus, feel free to check if the catering service holds valid food safety and practices licenses.
Ask for a tasting menu.
The biggest proof of an excellent catering service is their food's taste. Therefore, it's always recommended to schedule a tasting session in which you will be able to taste the menu items before it's finalized. Tasting the food beforehand is the best way to know what food you will serve your guests on the event day.
Go through the contract properly before signing.
Like any service, a good catering company will need you to sign a contract. As a responsible person, you must read all the pages, terms & conditions, etc., properly before finalizing the deal. This is essential since it's better to resolve any concerns between both parties before you pay.
Wrapping Up
Considering the above factors is the easiest way to get the right catering services. If you need reliable St. Louis catering services, choose SareFood. California Retail Reopens with Curbside Pickup – WWD
https://pmcwwd.files.wordpress.com/2020/05/los-angeles-reopening-corona-virus-3.jpg?w=640&h=415&crop=1
Retail is slowly waking up.
Following the go-ahead from L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti on Thursday, clothing stores began reopening on Friday for curbside pickup only.
Under phase two of the city’s reopening plan, “nonessential” businesses such as bookstores, florists, toy stores, sporting-goods shops and music shops were also able to fulfill orders directly from customers — at least from the sidewalk.
Select department stores, including Kohl’s and Macy’s, were open for curbside pickup, though malls were not. In Beverly Hills, Saks Fifth Avenue was set up for sales and returns, with an average of 60 cars coming through each day. (The store currently has more than two dozen stores open for curbside shopping nationwide.) Customers pulled up to the valet entrance of the store, where a table with hand sanitizer was set up, and salespeople wearing masks, and armed with inventory-tracking iPads, were stationed and available to fetch items from inside for customers to look at. Handbags and beauty items were of interest and a couple of customers even asked if they could go inside the store. A few blocks down, Neiman Marcus had a similar set-up, but looked much quieter.
On the West Side, the upscale Brentwood Country Mart was also open for curbside pickup starting Friday. The open-air shopping center’s owner, James Rosenfield, had a fleet of runners at the ready to deliver oat milk lattes from FarmShop, and stamps from the onsite Post Office. His Marin Country Mart in Northern California was also open for curbside pickups over the weekend, when flowers from Hudson Grace were popular with the Mother’s Day shopping crowd, Rosenfield said. “Getting back to business is what we all want to do and it’s fun if we can do it safely,” he added, noting that fashion stores, including Dôen and Capitol, will be opening for curbside pickup this week.
Rosenfield, who is known for his nostalgic, community-centered approach to retail and his curated tenant mix, added an incentive for families to come back to his centers: collectible toy animal figurines for kids. “I’m old enough to remember as a kid going to service stations and getting a little toy that was part of a collection…and you beg your mom to go because you are missing the rhino or elephant. If there is a kid in the car, and you drive up and buy something at one of our centers, now they get a toy. We’re serving the customer in that way.”
He’s also planning to use the centers’ ample parking lots for drive-in family movie nights, where customers can get contactless shopping and food delivery to their cars while they are enjoying a film, and potentially for outdoor SoulCycle classes. “We have to do the best we can as landlords to help our tenants because we love them and we took a long time to find them,” added Rosenfield, who has offered rent relief for his tenants.
Multilabel boutique owner Elyse Walker reopened her namesake store and her Towne stores for curbside pickup, reporting that Mother’s Day gifts, including handbags and jewelry, were what was selling over the weekend. Using the stores’ Memo service, shoppers were able to work with in-store stylists to have boxes of product customized for pickup. “The most challenging aspect is adjusting to new forms of client engagement,” said Walker. “For years, we have been used to our clients just walking in the door, often multiple times per week. Those relationships have evolved into friendships so now it’s just about finding new ways to connect and engage — but making sure that we are doing so in a meaningful way.”
L.A. designer Clare Vivier opened three of her four area stores on Saturday and Sunday, scrambling as best as she could to get inventory back onto the shelves in the 48 hours after the mayor made his announcement. “I wouldn’t say it was as good as a normal Mother’s Day would have been, unfortunately, but we were encouraged by our customers — we sent out an e-mail and posted on social media. People were excited to be back in the world again.”
Most customers called ahead and gave their credit card numbers, she said, and if they wanted to touch or feel a bag, for example, they were asked to use hand sanitizer beforehand. Vivier has seen an uptick in her apparel sales since the pandemic, but sold apparel and accessories equally over the weekend, including her own branded face masks. “Even this limited contact, people were so happy to have — just a little normalcy.” She plans to open her West Hollywood store starting Wednesday. “We’re just going to play it by ear,” the designer said of her approach to reopening.
On Robertson Boulevard, Fraser Ross put some of his merchandise on the sidewalk, including pool floats and racks of Mother’s Day cards. “It was the best I could do without holding stuff up to the window,” he said, noting that robes, pajamas, slippers and cards sold well, but that his sales were only about 15 percent of what they would be on a normal day. “It was better than nothing…But hopefully by Friday, things will loosen up a little more and we can let people into the store two at a time for five minutes each. We have to get the city back open — safely.”
Sweats by Aviator Nation have been a hot seller, he added, “And I sold a cashmere sweater that says, ‘Meet Me in Beverly Hills.’ I don’t know who’s meeting in Beverly Hills right now, but who knows?”
