Restaurante em ônibus de dois andares faz delicioso tour por Londres

Existem vários tipos de tours para conhecer os pontos turísticos de uma cidade, mas, embora bicicletas e segways tenham seu encanto, em Londres, uma novidade tem atraído muitos adeptos. O Bustronome (fusão entre as palavras ‘bus’, bistrô’ e ‘gastronomy’) é um restaurante adaptado em um ônibus com teto panorâmico de dois andares que oferece refeições chiquérrimas durante um passeio pela terra da rainha.

Elegante e confortável, o Bustronome London (pronuncia-se como ‘gastronomy’) promove ‘food tours’ luxuosos pelos famosos pontos da capital inglesa.

São três tipos de passeios/refeições: almoço, chá da tarde e jantar. O almoço tem quatro pratos e dura duas horas e custa £ 67 (R$ 320) por pessoa –o preço muda para £ 87 se incluir vinho. O chá da tarde tem cerca de duas horas de duração e custa £ 67 por pessoa –£ 78 com champanhe). Já o jantar tem seis pratos, dura duas horas e 45 minutos e custa entre £ 107 e £ 148 libras esterlinas por pessoa (sem e com bebidas, respectivamente). Para crianças existem taxas mais baixas em cada refeição.

Opte pelo jantar

Caso esteja em dúvida sobre qual seria o melhor momento para percorrer a capital inglesa a bordo do Bustronome, a resposta é fácil: opte pelo jantar. A combinação entre Londres, um busão de dois andares, boa comida, vinho e a cidade no comecinho da noite é uma atração e tanto! Neste horário, é possível observar não apenas os pontos turísticos e o movimento de uma das metrópoles mais fascinantes do mundo, mas também ‘assistir de camarote’ às pessoas caminhando após o dia de trabalho.

Divirta-se com os muitos olhares confusos dos transeuntes e também dos passageiros dos ônibus convencionais de dois andares que passam ao lado do restaurante ambulante. ‘Quem são essas pessoas tomando vinho e champanhe neste ônibus pomposo?” –é o que eles devem pensar.

No jantar a aventura começa no Victoria Embankment, às margens do rio Tâmisa, às 19h15 ou 19h30. Durante o verão, neste horário o sol ainda não se pôs e é possível ver o céu se transformar em pleno passeio: um belo espetáculo. A vista é privilegiada independente do lugar já que todas as mesas ficam no andar superior que possui teto panorâmico. No andar inferior estão a cozinha do restaurante e os banheiros.

Ao contrário dos tours convencionais, nos quais guias explanam sobre cada marco da cidade aos turistas, o Bustronome usa um sistema diferente, bastante discreto. Através de um mapa interativo da cidade, as pessoas tocam no local de interesse com uma caneta eletrônica e, em seguida, a colocam no ouvido para ouvir as informações disponíveis. Desta forma, cada um escolhe se quer aprender sobre os pontos turísticos e não interagir com as pessoas ao redor ou conversar com todos e apenas apreciar a cidade emoldurada em uma paisagem bastante dinâmica. Mas é bom saber que há tempo para as duas coisas.

O menu do Bustronome é modificado a cada dois meses e também há opções vegetarianas e veganas. Independentemente da escolha, todos os pratos são leves, muito bem apresentados, saborosos e perfeitamente harmonizados com os vinhos.

Como a refeição e a bebida são servidas durante o passeio, a primeira pergunta feita por 99,9% das pessoas antes de entrar no ônibus é a mais óbvia possível: como tudo se mantém na mesa sem cair com a movimentação do veículo? Todos os copos e taças ficam dispostos em displays acrílicos feitos sob medida para encaixá-los perfeitamente e as louças e talheres ficam sobre um suporte de material aderente. Assim é realmente impossível –ou muito difícil– acontecer algum acidente, mesmo com os mais desastrados como esta jornalista que vos escreve: até o final da jornada algumas taças de vinho balançaram, mas nenhuma gota foi derramada, posso garantir.

Enquanto as refeições são servidas, o ônibus anda lentamente pela cidade, pois, afinal, o trânsito é o mesmo existente em qualquer grande metrópole do mundo. No entanto, a lentidão do lado de fora é até vantajosa para quem está dentro, já que através da cúpula de vidro do veículo vemos passar a Catedral de St Pauls, Tower Bridge, o Big Ben, London Eye, o Royal Albert Hall, o Parlamento, a Harrods, o Hyde Park e outros marcos imperdíveis da cidade.
