Bangalore we all know as the IT hub and it is also called the silicon valley of India. But how many of us know that it is one of the country’s biggest education hubs as well? Perhaps not many. The city houses many good management colleges for senior and business education. But again, you will find some of the best CBSE Schools in Bangalore. These are the schools that conduct the board exams for 10th and 12th standard by the CBSE board. The schools also boast of good student pass-out rates.
What is the CBSE Board?
CBSE or the Central Board of Secondary Education is an examination conducting body managed by the India government through various listed public and private schools. Till 2019 figures there are 21,271 schools including 228 schools in 25 different foreign countries under the CBSE umbrella affiliated to CBSE. And these include all Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and most of the private schools. And the board conducts the board exams for secondary (10th) and senior secondary (12th) every year in the month of March and declares the results by May end.
Did you know CBSE is the largest exam conducting association in the world?
Not many of us know this - that CBSE also conducts examinations for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture. Hold on! We have some more!
It also conducts all India Pre Medical Test for admission to prominent medical colleges in India, Central Teacher Eligibility Test, Class 10 optional proficiency test and NET exam as well. All these make the body the title that we have mentioned above.
So how are grades benchmarked for CBSE 10, 12 Exams?
CBSE has different grades for 10th and 12th exams with the benchmark set against each grade. The grades are fro A to D, with A being the topmost and D being the least. While E stands for failure in one or more (theory & practical) or overall failure.
So A1 stands for the topmost score of a student in a subject while A2 stands for the next topmost level in a subject. B1 stands for the next below level (of A2) while B2 stands for yet the next score. The pattern gets repeated till D, and D2 denotes the least/last score (as against A1 which denotes the highest score obtained in a subject). The failed students get E as we have already discussed and they need to appear for either compartment test or must reappear in the entire examination in case of overall failure.
Top CBSE Schools in Bangalore have good score records or students. We can say a healthy student pass out rate each year which makes Bangalore a good study destination for junior studies of undergraduate level till 12th standard.
