For this analysis, I used AI. I did this so that my biases would not be part of the analysis and speculation. I will share what AI said in italics and put my speculation/thoughts afterward.

Act I (Seasons 1-3) plants longing, Act II (Seasons 4-6) reignites it with Beth’s CRM-tied survival, and Act III (Seasons 7-8) fulfills it alongside Rick’s reunion (The Ones Who Live) and Laurent’s hope. This speculative arc honors the “happy ending” with a transformative romance—Beth as Daryl’s light, their bond a quiet triumph in a brutal world—delivering a layered, satisfying close to his odyssey.
Gotta say I love how the AI analyzed the overall flow of this Hero's Journey. The speculative play out seems spot on to me. ANYONE who thinks this "happy ending" isn't about Daryl getting a romance and a family of his own, has just not been paying attention. Why did he not stay in the Commonwealth if Carol, et. all were enough? Why did he tell Carol that his taking responsibility for Laurent was different from his relationship with Judith and RJ? Why do he look back at Fallou choosing to stay with his new girlfriend with longing?
Still not convinced?
Think of it like this. In my first post, I mentioned all of the times that Gimple has mentioned planning for the "next generation".
Doesn't it make sense he would want a Dixon in the next generation? A Dixson/Greene to continue on the legacy?
If he has made sure that characters like Aaron, Eugene, Negan, and Rosita have offspring for the next generation, won't he do the same for Daryl? Daryl, who is considered to be the most popular character of the series?
You could say that Laurent will be his contribution, and he will be a contribution. Imagine having Rick and Michonne's legacy being just Judith. Gimple wanted them to have RJ as well and the audience is 1000% more tied to Judith than to Laurent.
Daryl will have a Dixson or two for the next generation. If it were a Greene/Dixon, the core audience would be even more tied to those next generation characters. (Due to basic biology, this definitely leaves Carol out as his romantic happy ending.)
Will we see it in the spin-off? I think so. There may be a time jump somewhere in seasons 6-8 after Daryl and Beth become a couple where we see Daryl and Beth as parents(of their biological child). Their care for Judith as an infant being a foreshadow of this.
I personally think that somewhere in season 6 to 7 Daryl and Beth, maybe with the others, maybe not, will land first in Central or South America needing to make their way back to the Commonwealth, not Alexandria.
By the end of these eight season, I believe Daryl will have been to three continents, Europe, Africa, and South America. It seems to me that Gimple wants the TWDU to travel the world. With the rumored Father Gabriel and Aaron spin-off to be set in Australia and to begin filming this summer, that spin-off may cover Australia and possibly Asia.
Since this is Daryl's spin-off and it's all about his "happy ending", I think it's logical to believe that Daryl and Rick will reunite at the end of season 8. That would lead perfectly into the end game/reunion season. As that season will be limited, it would be unrealistic to be able to give all the reunions the time and emotional impact they deserve in the timeframe. So, most likely, it will be during the reunion season that Beth and Maggie reunite.
His happy ending is all about family. Being reunited with his "found family" of Carol, Rick, Michonne, Judith, RJ and Laurent AND creating a family of his own with Beth and their children.
You can now see why they included Leah as an anthesis of this. She was making him chose between his found family and her. For Daryl to be truly happy, he needs both.
Do I think it will play out exactly like AI speculate? Of course not! The details may be significantly different, but I believe the basic outline of the journey is solid, and we will see it played out over these next years.
I loved that the AI included a voice over for Norman, but I would change it slightly to, “She found me, and I found home.”
