La classifica di Canalys sui vendor di sicurezza giudicati dal canale

Canalys incorona sette vendor di sicurezza informatica. Secondo il Canalys Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix 2020, Cisco, ESET, Fortinet e Palo Alto Networks hanno ribadito le loro posizioni come Champions nell’edizione 2020, e sono stati raggiunti da Juniper Networks, Kaspersky e Trend Micro.

Queste aziende continuano ad apportare miglioramenti ai processi e hanno dimostrato l’impegno a far crescere le entrate attraverso il canale.

Il mercato totale della cybersecurity è cresciuto nel 2019, con un aumento del 12% secondo le stime della società. “Il rapido aumento del telelavoro dovuto alla pandemia di COVID-19 ha aumentato in modo significativo le spese per la sicurezza nel primo trimestre 2020, in particolare per quanto riguarda la sicurezza degli endpoint e del cloud, l’accesso VPN e la gestione dell’accesso alle identità, mentre le aziende si affrettavano a proteggere i dipendenti”, ha affermato il Chief Analyst di Canalys, Matthew Ball. “Continueranno a sorgere nuove sfide alla sicurezza, poiché anche se le società stanno tornando negli uffici, un numero significativo di persone continuerà a lavorare da remoto”.

Cisco detiene una quota di mercato alta nell’ambito sicurezza e continua l’attenzione strategica ai servizi gestiti. Ha stanziato risorse dedicate per aiutare i partner a costruire i propri servizi di sicurezza gestiti e il lancio SecureX contribuirà a guidare il business MSP fornendo una visione unificata su tutto il suo portafoglio.

Eset è stata molto apprezzata dai partner per l’attenzione al business. Ha continuato a concentrarsi sull’espansione internazionale e ha lanciato un nuovo modulo di abilitazione MSP. Ha incorporato il feedback dei partner locali sulle tecnologie della roadmap dei prodotti e sulle esigenze dei clienti.

Fortinet ha offerto specializzazioni dei partner in aree chiave per incoraggiare le entrate guidate dai partner sia su clienti nuovi sia esistenti. La sua recente acquisizione di enSilo e CyberSponse sarà integrata con la sua architettura Security Fabric, portando a ulteriori opportunità per i partner.

Juniper Networks ha effettuato un massiccio investimento in sicurezza nel 2019, con il lancio della sua connected security strategy. Il suo programma cloud MSP continuerà la sua espansione nel 2020.

Kaspersky ha continuato a investire nel suo programma e portali partner portals, offrendo nuovi modelli di fatturazione e team di supporto dedicati per gli MSP. Ha mirato al reclutamento e all’integrazione di MSP con le principali piattaforme RMM e PSA.

Palo Alto Networks è stato uno dei primi cinque fornitori di cybersecurity in più rapida crescita nel 2019 e ha ottenuto valutazioni dei partner costantemente elevate. La sua strategia di diversificazione del focus aziendale è stata in risonanza con i partner. Ha continuato a investire in MSP e CSSP.

Trend Micro ha aumentato i suoi investimenti nella sua prima strategia di canale nel 2019 e nel 2020 e ha aiutato la crescita della PSM attraverso servizi cogestiti e SOCaaS. Il lancio della sua piattaforma Cloud One quest’anno guiderà il business SaaS in tutto il suo portafoglio.

Il quadrante stilato da Canalys

Bitdefender, Check Point, Malwarebytes, WatchGuard e Zscaler hanno effettuato investimenti nel canale che hanno migliorato la percezione dei partner negli ultimi 12 mesi. I fornitori di questo gruppo hanno utilizzato vari approcci, come il lancio di nuovi programmi per i partner, le fusioni e le acquisizioni, un maggiore focus sulla MSP e lo sviluppo di aziende incentrate sul cloud, per mantenere una forte crescita.

Sophos e SonicWall sono ancora valutati dai partner, ma negli ultimi 12 mesi hanno affrontato alcune sfide, sia in termini di performance del mercato sia di calo sentiment dei canali. Le loro strategie mostrano il potenziale per guadagnare quote di mercato, ma ci sono sfide chiave da superare.

Symantec, IBM e McAfee hanno un sentiment dei partner di canale inferiore rispetto ai loro pari, che è diminuito negli ultimi 12 mesi. I venditori di questo gruppo hanno sottoperformato rispetto alla media del mercato e i partner li hanno classificati più bassi rispetto allo scorso anno. Metriche come la generazione di lead e le attività di marketing, che generano crescita attraverso il servizio e il supporto e l’efficacia nella loro gestione dell’account sono state valutate più basse dai partner.

Per il resto dell’anno, la spesa per la cybersecurity rallenterà man mano che le industrie colpite duramente dovranno far fronte a tagli di bilancio e ritardi nei progetti di grandi dimensioni. “I fornitori stanno già pianificando di supportare i clienti e il canale offrendo estensioni di licenza gratuite e vantaggi finanziari. Il canale svolge un ruolo chiave in questa situazione supportando e gestendo i clienti. I fornitori che sostengono e abilitano i partner saranno nella posizione migliore per spostarsi rapidamente per soddisfare le esigenze dei clienti nei prossimi 12 mesi “, ha affermato Ketaki Borade, analista di ricerca di Canalys.
