I find it beautiful just how long these films have been here, the impact it's made, and how after all this time, it still thrives, through us. Cars has always been a part of my life since I was a 3 year old girl. I remember coming home from kindergarten everyday to watch it and just feeling so happy, no matter many times I saw it. And everytime I saw it, I would always feel this warm feeling inside, like everything about it just felt familiar to me. I connected with the characters instantly, they are so lovable and full of heart and in their own way. The music, the scenery, the story, everything about felt like home to me.
I remember seeing Cars 3 back in 2017, I remember sitting in that theater feeling emotional to see my favorite characters once again, to see that story that meant so much to me come to life once again in something new. It felt so magical in way that's really hard to describe. In that moment, I truly felt like I was living the story, as if I were really there, it's a feeling I always remember, and will forever miss. I'm so grateful to have found this fandom years ago, it makes me so happy to know that there are people here who share this strong love for these films.
No other film could make me feel this way the way this one did. It's the film that inspires me to pursue animation, the one that made my childhood easier even when times were tough, and the one that will always be in my heart.
No matter how much time passes by, Cars will always live on, through us and forever in our hearts.
Finally got around to drawing this art exhibition on wheels and I'm so, so pleased with how he turned out!
Normally I don't do black and whites of my art because it just doesn't look that good but this time I decided to go in for the gusto... color was actually an afterthought I added as a bonus
Paintjob inspired by "Radiator Springs 500½" short, yet with turquoise blue as a homage to a beautiful gem of the Southwest
