what's your ranking on the terminator movies?

Good fucking question thank you

The thing is, in terms of how Good a movie is in its entirety, Terminator 2 is probably the bet one. it's a masterpiece of action cinema, of science fiction, and also of a genre I've coined "Dad Cinema", which I won't be going into now, but when it comes to which Terminator movie I like the most, I have to rank them very differently because I have weird tastes

Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) I like the most. Cause I'm gay. There's also so many things about that one that are fun to me personally, I could talk about it for hours, I think it hilarious that they fridged John Connors, I think the characters are fun to watch, I think what they did with the idea of a Terminator stuck in the past without a mission to fulfill anymore is fascinating. Sure they disregarded the time travel rules set up in the previous movies, but they did it to make room for a story that was fresh and different yet also returned to the original themes of the first and second movies. It expands on the themes of state brutality and there's just something so uplifting about the core message: you can kill John Connor but there will always be a John Connor; there will always be a Dani Ramos, there will always be someone who gets up and says No, and this person will not do it because they are a special little boy but because, as G'Kar says in Babylon 5 says: "No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power tyrants and dictators cannot stand."

The original Terminator (1984) brings out the 80s horror in a way that just speaks to me. Here the Terminator truly is just this shark like killer. In later movies, it's just not quite the same, and that's probably because in the first one Arnold Schwarzenegger is still, I almost wanna say fresh-faced? There's something about him here where he looks like he spent 30 years in a gym and then walked straight onto set, and a lot of that is probably due to the cool colours of an 80s movie. Like that scene in the club where he walks trough the mass of people looking for Sarah Connor just looks so right.

Terminator 2 (1991) The action. The effects. it's chef's kiss. Mwah. Like Dark Fate, it's a movie that exactly knows what it and the franchise is about. It's a movie about systematic violence and the entire structure of the movie is build around that; The sexual abuse that Sarah suffers in the psych ward, John being stuck in foster care, yet still not safe, and with a future that has been descided for him, Dyson getting shot by the police, the T-1000 wearing a police uniform! Great fucking movie tbh. Ranking these first three is actually incredibly difficult to me cause they in my book achieve full marks.

Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines (2003) is actually the first Terminator movie I ever saw, and I remember not being extremely impressed with it, but I was 14, Kristanna Loken was in it, Claire Danes was in it, that was enough in my book at the time. Also The Current is a great song say what you will.

Terminator Salvation (2009) Like, what is the point, you know? I vaguely remember seeing bits of it. and like, I don't know, didn't even capture me. Didn't catch my interest. I don't remember the movie I just remember Christian Bale yelling at a camera man and then there was also a movie I guess. Maybe at some point I will actually sit down and watch all the movies again and maybe then I will have to rethink my opinion but as far as I am concerned Terminator Salvation is a movie that certainly was made I suppose.

Terminator: Genysis (2015) I did not know of the existence of this movie until today when I sat down to answer this ask and googled "Terminator movies" to get the years of release right. Emilia Clarke is in it? J. K. Simmons is in it?? Matt Smith is in it??? What?? What are you talking about?? The plot synopsis sounds absolutely insane why is everyone shitting on Dark Fate when this movie exists apparently wtf

So he was born in 1805 and died in 1875, so potentially all of them up to Samantha would have shared space on this planet with him (assuming Felicity and Kaya live into the 19th century, which I am sure they would). He was just a little younger than Caroline, who was born in 1802, and ten years older than Josefina.

Who they like better: Daddies girl, trough and through. Her hot headed and wild father understands her more than her quiet and at ease mother. Who they take after more: Dyson, definitely. She’s more wolf than anything and it shows in the way her eyes glimmer and her smile can turn into a snarl.

General Appearance: Younger of the twins, Mackenzie or “Mack” as he’s usually called, has more of his mothers coloring. Dark hair cut in a classic side buzz and teal blue eyes, he received more of his mothers softer features as apposed to her sisters sharper bone structure. Though he’s only shorter then his sister by a mere inch, she never lets him forget it, leading Mac to overcompensate by building muscle and taking over a stockier build.

Personality: Unlike his name-sake, Kenzi, Mack is quiet and reserved. He prefers to spend his time away from loud crowds and hidden away in the kitchen or off reading book when not working out. The more thoughtful of the twins, Mack is usually the one to help comfort a victim or apologize when he’s wrong, rarely jumping to conclusions and almost always having a back up plan up his sleeve. *Yes calling Mark counts as a plan, okay!

Special Talents: Mack has the same supernatural talents as his sister but holds more self control in his anger and shifting. His wolf if mostly black with a speckling of grey/white on his tail and belly. Mack likes to cook (not bake) with his mother and often surprises the family with new and interesting dishes for dinner. With his cooking, Jael’s baking, and Dyson’s grilling, he is often amused if not annoyed at how inadequate his sister is at doing anything harder than boiling water in the kitchen.

Who they like better: Jael. They have more in common, being soft spoken most of the time but more open and joyful around family and friends. His mother taught him how to bake when he was young, which lead to him discovering his love for cooking. He hopes to be a chef one day and although his parents are supportive, it’s his mother that is always willing to be his taste tester. Be it human or Fae sourced food…

Who they take after more: Jael, though admittedly, when it comes to family, he has the temper of his father. He may be the baby of the family but he’ll rip someones throat out with his bare teeth if they threaten his mother or sister.

Personal Head canon: Sometimes uncle Vex just looks at him with this sad but kind of happy look on his face. Then he turns towards his mom and dad and just smiles and shakes his head. It wasn’t until he was much older that Vex confessed to him he was once in love with Jael. And when Mack was younger, he couldn’t help but wonder what could have been if only he hadn’t been such a wanker to her and her friends at the start. Though he’d never tell his father, Mack sometimes wonders the same.

3 Ways Valentine’s Day Will Make Or Break Your Relationship

It doesnt matter if youve been dating for two weeks or two years, Valentines Day is like sticking your relationship in a pressure cooker.

On February 14, every relationship issue you have, had in the past or may have in the future willintensify.

Here are three key areas where something can go disastrously, spectacularly wrong:

1. The Gifts

Wouldnt it be awesome if there were some magic formula that could tell you exactly what gift to get your SO?

Alas, mathematicians have yet to come up with an equation for these delicate social problems.

Thanks a lot, math. I knewI would never need to know algebra after high school; you have to navigate these tricky waters on your own.

Heres just some of what can go wrong in the gift department:

You spend $350 and three weeks finding front-row seats for his favorite band while he gets you a Bath and Body Works sampler (And not even withyour favorite scent).

If one of you gives a thoughtful, personal, special gift and the other one gives a generic, last-minute fill-in (no, she will not appreciate an Amazon gift card in any amount), the rest of your Valentines Day is probably not going to wind up well.

You get him a gold lam Speedo, Ben Wa Balls and a cock ring, while he gets you a Dyson cordless vacuum.

This type of gift disconnect has several connotations, and none of them are awesome.

Yours says, I want a piece of that hot ass. His says, Get your ass in the kitchen and clean my house.

Or maybe yours means you think of him as an entertaining boy toy, while his says he thinks of you as wife material.

You give her the limited-edition, designers collection Marie Antoinette pumps from Christian Louboutinyou finally scored on eBay for just north of a grand shes drooled over for years, while you get nothing at all.

Hey, I bought you a nice dinner. What more do you want?

Its not that you have to receive (or give) big gifts to show your love at Valentines Day.

The hubs and I boycott V-Day pressies altogether because we have a hard enough time figuring out what to get each other for Christmas, and don’t want todo it all over again not even two months later.

But, we still have a rockin romantic good time.

But if youve been together for more than a few weeks andyoure under the impressionthat V-Day is the time to show your love in a very splashy way, ifyour SOdoes not, you will be sorely disappointed.

2. The Date

Again, were talking context here.

On a normal date night, hopefully most of us are pretty happy with anywhere our date takes us, whether thats a fancy prix-fixe chefs table or the hottest new food truck in town.

But not on Feb. 14.

Right or wrong, Valentines Day can be the one night of the year when even the most low-maintenance and easygoing can overanalyze how much our SO cares about us, based on what kind of date he or she takes us on.

What does it mean if you wind up at the Mexican dive bar down the street because every place else was booked solid?

Or, was it thathe didnt care enough to make a reservation somewhere ahead of time?

Did she take you to Applebees instead of somewhere more special because its what she can afford?

Or was it because thats all she thinks youre worth?

Why did he order himself a beer instead of a bottle of champagne for you to share?

Does he think champagne is way too romantic for the way he feels about you, and hes afraid youll get the wrong idea?

That doesnt even factor in the flower quandary: Did he bring you any?Are theyspecial-order or a generic bouquet picked up on the fly from a grocery store?

Red roses, or *shudder* pink carnations?Seriously, carnations is the anti-Viagra of flowers.

Its not that were judgy, materialistic or high-maintenance.

Its just that all the commercials, ads and TV shows and movies leading up to V-Day showing picture-perfect romance can make even the least judgmental of us start to wonder:How does myrelationship measure up?

3. The State Of The Union

Even if youre a Valentines Day savant, the most careful plans can go totally off the rails, depending on where your relationship stands.

What if youve been thinking of breaking up? Its not like you want to go all-out on gifts or dinner or flowers if you know youre about to pull the plug.

That brings us to the age-old conundrum: Is it worse to dump someone right before V-Day or right after?

What if you had a bad fight the night before, and youre still fuming over it?

Its hard to create a romantic mood when all you can think about is how much youd like to stick your steak knife into his eyeball.

And then theres the mother of all Valentines dilemmas: Will there be a ring?And it’s perhaps even more terrifying flip side: Oh f*ck, what if theres a ring?

With emotions, tensions and expectations running high, Valentines Day can make or break your relationship solely based on where things stand between the two of you.

Given every obstacle, challenge and potential catastrophe littering the Valentines Day landscape, if you’ve managed to have a romantic, sweet, sexy evening with the one you love, hang on to that sucker.
