My D&D is threadbare and showing holes at the elbows where I've sat in anticipation of a description from one of my players.

My D&D is torn at the pockets from holding dice and pencils and minis.

My D&D is perfectly shaped to my shoulders, hanging quietly over many years of writing, playing, and planning.

My D&D is comfortable with age, and hard to get rid of, from so many years, well loved and still has warmth...

But what will replace it?

Nothing is so familiar nor so conformed to my style from years of use.

Nothing so quickly comes to hand when making a reference or joke.

Nothing has permeated my mind with a lexicon of marvelous menageries to such a degree...

So what will it be?

I am not yet sure, but I know it will be something, or many things, to replace the well loved garment of my fanciful nerdiness.

It’s Earth Day! This year’s theme is Plastics vs. Planet —what are you doing to reduce consumption of single use plastics? I try to be mindful and bring drinking vessels with me when I can. I am in love with my reusable, packable silverware kits.
