Also, I’m gonna replace the “unpopular opinion” prompt with a “random headcanon” prompt instead, because are there any real unpopular opinions in a fandom this small?

So, starting with Farrah:

How I feel about this character: I love her to death and she deserves so, so much better 😭

All the people I ship romantically with this character: None, she’s aroace in my head

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I’m super into the Kate/Farrah ex-friends thing. I also think there was potential for her to become friends with Reese. Also, I read a fanfic once where Mattie and Farrah used to be best friends but then drifted apart, and OMG I LOVE IT.

Random headcanon: She knew how to play guitar and wanted to be a famous singer/songwriter (with like Olivia Rodrigo-esque music) when she grew up. Kate was the only person who knew this.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish Alcohol (her cut song) wasn’t cut. Logically I see why it was, but COME ON. If the song were still in the show, Farrah would be such a big dream role.

Kate:

How I feel about this character: I am Kate Dalton’s #1 fan.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: KATEVA. Kateva is one of my top 5 ships of all time. Also, I’m a sucker for unrequited Checkate.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: REESE. There’s so much that goes into this friendship and the fandom doesn’t talk about it enough. Also, I like to think that Kate and Annleigh talk/bond over losing people so close to them, because they’re the only ones that truly understand what it’s like. And then it blossoms into a real, non-trauma-bond friendship.

Random headcanon: Top three artists are AJR, Melissa Etheridge, and The Smiths.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish we had more little Kateva moments, like sitting next to each other or exchanging a snarky comment or two.

Annleigh:

How I feel about this character: I LOVE HER SO MUCH. Also she reminds me of my best friend, so she has a special place in my heart for that.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Well obviously there’s Clark. Also, I see a lot of enemies-to-lovers potential with her and Cairo.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I have no idea why, but I really like the idea of Eva and Annleigh becoming best friends post-canon. Also, I like to think she took Mattie under her wing as sort of a “second chance” to be a good older sister figure.

Random headcanon: She braids Farrah’s hair every day and surprisingly doesn’t hate it.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Okay so, apparently Preston Max Allen said that Annleigh’s dad died when she was thirteen. So this girl lost her sister and her boyfriend, on the same night, approximately only three years after the death of her dad? THAT IS DEVASTATING, WHY WAS IT NEVER BROUGHT UP.

They’re genderfluid and use they/them pronouns like 80% of the time, but they’re closeted about it

Can’t focus on anything they’re doing unless they’re listening to music

On that note, their autism-dar is amazing. Out of the teammates, they’ve managed to clock Farrah, Annleigh, Mattie, and Eva so far.

Once they start talking, it’s not easy to get them to stop. Specifically when they’re either really passionate or really angry about something.

After Chess died, Kate started wearing her clothes. You know the hoodie they wear in Act 2? That was Chess’s favorite hoodie. And the beanie also belonged to her.

They like bowling, and they’re pretty good at it. They’re not as good as Reese, though. They go bowling together once a month.

As much as they love gymnastics, they absolutely hate gymnastics meets because they’re overstimulating.

Expanding on that last one, Kate was really excited for the Shakespeare unit in 10th grade English class because they were reading Taming of the Shrew, which inspired that movie. To say that they were pissed off once they actually started reading would be an understatement. Now they’re a Shakespeare hater.

Eva held her fist in the air and beamed out at the crowd, adrenaline flooding every vein. Reese, Mattie, and Farrah, their swings, had come out on stage, and she was so happy to be with all of her Six friends. She took her last bow and was ready to head backstage for the last time when Chess raised her microphone back to her lips.

"Today was a very bittersweet day, everyone," she said to the audience. Eva looked away as Kate appeared next to her, weaseling her way into her arms. Eva gladly held onto her, savoring every last second onstage with her girlfriend.

"Tonight, you all were lucky enough to see our beloved Catherine Parr, Eva Sanchez, perform her very last show with us," Chess continued. She looked away from the audience and at Eva, and oh, shit, Eva's eyes were starting to sting with tears. "Where do I even start? It's been a long, crazy year. We started as strangers and now you're one of the best friends I've ever had. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're going to miss you so much, Eva." Chess's gaze moved to Kate. "Kate, do you want to say something?"

Kate shifted next to her as she pulled her microphone out from the pink loop on her skirt. "Yeah, I do. God, Eva, I- I said I wasn't gonna cry-" She, like Eva, was already crying, and they both laughed a little. "I'm gonna miss you so much. I mean, I know we'll still talk but I'm going to miss being with you in person- I don't want you to go." She paused to collect herself, and Eva was crying a lot now. "I can't even put into words how much I'm going to miss you, Eva, because I just love you so much-" She stopped, and they both realized what she'd said at the same time.

Eva pulled her own microphone from its loop and held it shakily to her mouth. "I love you, too, Kate." And then she kissed her - briefly, they were still on stage, after all - to cheers from the fans and their friends.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone in between!" Cairo shouted, holding a hand out. "Let's give it up one last time for Eva Sanchez!"

Oh how fun!!!! We’re just gonna do whatever random stuff I come up with! Miscellaneous headcanons🙂

-Okay so we have all agreed that Riley and Cairo are married. W E L L when they were friends in elementary school, they were totally those two kids that got married during recess. They made invitations and put pine cones in their hair and everything.

-Because they love musicals, Reese, Mattie, and Farrah dressed up as the Heathers for Halloween (Farrah was Chandler, Mattie was Duke, Reese was Macnamara). They sang Candy Store that day. Many times.

-Both Kate and Cairo get super scared by movies, so whenever the gang goes to see a new scary movie, they’ll just stand awkwardly in the theater lobby together and pretend they don’t like each other.

-Speaking of Kate and Cairo, they totally hooked up at one of those lake house summer parties. Neither of them handled it particularly well.

-The team is pretty used to injuries and pretty chill about them, but whenever Mattie gets injured, they just all leap into action and will not take their eyes off her until she is home.

-Chess is a Horse Girl. Annleigh won the dressage medals, but Chess is the Horse Girl.

-Annleigh and Clark are one of those couples that have anniversaries for EVERYTHING. They have so many that Annleigh has to keep track of them in her phone, and one time Farrah got into her phone and changed every anniversary to « pointless day. » She had to call Clark to help her change it back, and they ended up having a really sweet moment where they talked about what they meant to each other.

-Eva continues to say « Yo what the FUCK? » constantly. Because this team has earned it.

The chimes by the doors sang every thirty minutes or so as stragglers came to pick up herbal remedies for whatever illness they had. Like clockwork, Mattie attended to the regulars placing whatever they needed: hollyhock, eucalyptus, sage. It was uncommon to see people in, what Mattie calls, the 'cryptic' secton but she can't help but be intrigued by the young girl she sees inspecting the bat baculum. Eye-contact was made and before Mattie could make her way to the girl the chimes tell her she left. She thinks nothing of it, perhaps she realised she was late for something, and finishes the last ten minutes of her shift. During her final sweep of the apothecary she notices an out-of-place book sat in the cryptic section. An unfamiliar language accompanied by diagrams of flora and fauna fills the pages; she can only make out a few words that she'd seen them around the store. How curious. There was no name but she concluded that it belonged to the girl from earlier. She never returned in the following days so Mattie decided to find the girl herself, however, she's left with more questions than answers.

What she didn't expect was to see her arrive already unconcious on a gurney getting paler by the minute. Being declared the Farrah-tamer, Eva brought her into a room attending to her as best as she could before she woke. A quick break later and she returned to Farrah sitting up right complaining about the bright lights, as she usually did. When re-checking her vitals she noticed that she had no pulse, no matter when she tried she couldn't find one, it was only when she tried her neck that she noticed two small puncture wounds below her jaw...
