See? Was that so bad?
Addressing the rampant monster problem sometimes requires alliances that would otherwise never happen, even if they are temporary.
Yin and Jinho dynamic is a strange one in the eyes of Sooga Village. Every interaction inevitably ends up in a fight that takes out half the town yet neither seem to make any effort to avoid each other. There is two seperate betting pools for when they will get married when in reality the two find the other to be the only worthy adversary in a 500 mile radius.
Not that Jinho would object to the idea of courting such a fierce and deadly warrior

thanks to Vlad and his videos about pretending to be a girl at Omegle (plz check it out it’s pure comedy material) me and homies created cracked AU
so like Jinchul coming from orphanage is really proficient in girly things because he was really close to girls during his orphanage years. Girls found him pretty enough to drag into their circle to try make up on him or just style his hair plus with younger girls he usually ended up the one to style their hair at mornings. He also had friends among boys but boys mostly avoided him because he looked different and was mostly by himself.
So anyway after leaving orphanage Jinchul still kept in touch with others from orphanage from time to time. And one day they gathered for drinks and jinchul lost probably the most dumb bet in his life and he absolutely forgot that betting against group of girls IS a death or life gambling.
So yea he lost and they decided to remember old times so they dress him as a girl and for amusement and funny reactions make him go on Omegle or shit and so jinchul plays really convincing lady until he lets out his real voice and that fun continues for serval hours while his friends die on background from laughter. Jinchul isn’t uncomfortable but it makes him feel awkward because many actually complemented how pretty she looks.
And then randomly they end up connecting with jinwoo and his company and jinchul just starts to sweat nervously because what the actual fuck hunter sung is doing here with his sister and his friend—
jinchul is always this close to failure because his voice just keeps cracking and stuttering and he’s panicking and feels his face continuing become redder and redder because it’s jinah, jinho and songyi doing all the talk and jinwoo just stares at him with ✨suspicion✨ until jinwoo just opens his mouth and asks for phone number and jinchul finally freaks out by making a weird squeaking voice and turning connection off.
Days pass jinchul is kinda panicking around jinwoo because he just keeps staring at him from time to time as if trying to connect the dots (he hopes he won’t).
Jinwoo: Chief, I would be really grateful if you’ll help me find one lady, I would really like to meet her.
Jinchul, sweating nervously: how about N O
Funny thing jinwoo did eventually stumble upon group of girls he saw hanging with that lady and approached them asking if they know how he can contact their friend. They are this close to laugh their asses off but agree to organize a ‘date’ and later jinchul just wants to murder them but he can’t because he cared for them during orphanage years goddamnit.
So yea they actually meet, jinchul dies inside almost entire time (god I hope he won’t notice my mana signature god—), jinchul jokes about being a rather tall lady (and dying inside) and honestly when he’s home he just falls backwards right on door like ‘holy fucking hell’
And then next time he and jinwoo meet at KHA jinwoo like a true little shit admits that he figured out its jinchul because of same mannerisms and stuff plus it’s a national trend now that a local man dresses like a lady perfectly only to give people heart attacks with his real voice. Jinchul dying inside and asking why the meeting then and jinwoo just admits that he wanted to see top tier levels of disguise that Chief Woo is able to pull out (and also to witness him panicking entire time because it’s hilarious)

BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group Announces Seven New Partners
BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group New Partners
BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group adds to its leadership team with the announcement of seven new Partners, 33 new Associates, and one new Director. With the number of staff more than doubling in the last four years, the leadership expansion reflects BIG’s 20-year evolution as a global firm with a local presence, underscored by a holistic approach to design and development.
With offices now located in Copenhagen, New York City, London, Barcelona, and Shenzhen, BIG’s total staff has grown to over 500 BIGsters. Therefore, the addition of seven new Partners to the existing partnership of 17 is a natural progression. A dedication to Landscape, Product Design, and the Communications operations within BIG is reflected in the naming of three new global Partner roles. The appointment of one new Barcelona-based Partner and two new London-based Partners reflects the tremendous growth of the respective offices, and the growing portfolio of projects to be executed. Similarly, New York’s one Partner appointment reiterates the robust portfolio of construction projects, and the imperative delivery expertise.
Founder and Creative Director, Bjarke Ingels, says: “Since our inception Copenhagen two decades ago, to our current condition as a 500+ people firm with offices spanning multiple continents – and work spanning from Earth to The Moon – we have expanded our role and responsibilities beyond the realm of architecture, to include Landscape, Engineering and Product Design. It is only natural that our partnership and leadership now evolves to reflect the ever-increasing complexity and diversity of our current design challenges.”
The seven new Partners announced today include: Andy Young, who first joined BIG London in 2016 as a Technical Director, helping shape the fundamental way in which BIG projects are built, with over 25 years of experience in the design and delivery of large-scale projects; Lorenzo Boddi, who first joined BIG Copenhagen as an intern and has been based at BIG London since 2016, continues to give shape to some of BIG’s most visionary projects; João Albuquerque, first joined BIG Copenhagen in 2008, eventually moving to Barcelona in 2019 to support the establishment of a strong foundation for BIG Barcelona; Douglass Alligood, who returns to BIG NYC with an extraordinary 37 years of experience, and will support the increasing portfolio of projects going into Design Development and construction; Lars Larsen, a product design leader and long-time BIG collaborator through his own company, Kilo Design and KiBiSi, who will now lead BIG’s Products design team; Giulia Frittoli, an instrumental leader within BIG Landscape, who will support the growing emphasis on Landscape projects across the BIG Group from her base in BIG CPH; and Daria Pahhota, who first joined BIG Copenhagen as an intern in 2008, became the group’s Chief Communications Officer in 2018, and returns as the leader of BIG’s Global Branding and Communications after two years at the global architecture and engineering firm, SOM.
“With three of the seven new Partners beginning their BIG career as Interns, others joining BIG very early in their career and still others joining after years of experience at other studios, each has grown to become important leaders in their own right – their journey highlighting the relevance of every BIGster’s contribution, at every level of the company. We are incredibly proud of each of our newly-appointed Partners, Director, and Associates, and congratulate them on their impressive achievements,” says CEO, Partner, Sheela Maini Søgaard, “we look forward to the continued growth of their respective expertise and their role in strengthening BIG in both skill and culture.”
BIG’s appointment of 34 trusted employees to key positions includes 12 Copenhagen-based Associates, 14 New York-based Associates, one Barcelona-based Associate, and six London-based Associates. One new Director will be added to BIG Copenhagen.
The new Associates announced today include: Alana Goldweit, Agla Egilsdottir, Alexandru Malaescu, Andrea Hektor, Ángel Barreno Gutiérrez, Chris Falla, Dominyka Voelkle, Hung Kai Liao, Isabel da Silva, Jason Chee Han Chia, Jason Wu, Jinho Lee, Julie Kaufman, Kate Cella, Laurent de Carniere, Lauren Connell Falla, Lawrence-Oliver Mahadoo, Lorenz Krisai, Lucas Carriere, Margaret Tyrpa, Marie Lancon, ‘Molly’ Hsiao Rou Huang, Otilia Pupezeanu, Pauline Lavie-Luong, Robert Grimm, Ryohei Koike, Sarkis Sarkisyan, Sebastian Claussnitzer, Shane Dalke, Simon Scheller, Søren Martinussen, Vinish Sethi, and Yu Inamoto. [Sports Seoul K-Pop Survey①] ‘Power People Lee Sooman, Producer Bang Shihyuk, K-Pop’s best group BTS - Twice’
Source
Sports Seoul conducted ‘K-Pop Power People’ survey for their 32th anniversary from June 8th to June 15th. The survey respondents are from 32 different entertainment agencies, with 1 representative, either CEO or staff members whose positions are higher than Director, from each agency, making it 32 respondents in total. Respondents were asked to choose the 1st~3rd place for each category and points were given for each place, 1st place received 3 points, 2nd place received 2 points and 1 point for 3rd place. The total points for each category is 192 points, each group can get up to 96 points at maximum.
Tumblr media
#1. The ‘Power People’ who move the music industry are?
① SM Producer Lee Sooman (42 points) ② YG Producer Yang Hyunsuk (30 points) ③ BTS (26 points) ④ JYP Producer Park Jinyoung (25 points) ⑤ G-Dragon (23 points)
#2. The best K-Pop producer is?
① Bighit Entertainment CEO Bang Shihyuk (48 points) ② JYP Producer Park Jinyoung (45 points) ③ SM Producer Lee Sooman (29 points) ④ G-Dragon, Teddy (9 points)
Bighit’s CEO Bang Shihyuk received recognition for having created BTS, the worldwide K-Pop sensation. As the CEO of a mid-tier agency with little capital and brand power, CEO Bang raised the ‘dirt spoon idols’ into Korea’s top group, shaking the industry which is full of strong idol groups from big companies, and therefore was chosen by many mid-tier companies’ producers as their role model.
#3. The best K-pop boy group is?
① BTS (85 points) ② EXO (60 points) ③ Big Bang (18 points) ④ Seventeen (15 points) ⑤ WANNA ONE (4 points)
BTS’ ‘Top Social Artist’ award at 2017 Billboard Music Awards last May has become a symbolic event that proves their powerful fandom not only in Korea but also all over the world and a remarkable expandability. At the moment, there is no disagreement in the music industry that BTS is the best K-Pop boy group.
List of survey respondents:

Bohol halfway to getting nod on Covid-19 molecular lab
#PHnews: Bohol halfway to getting nod on Covid-19 molecular lab
TAGBILARAN CITY – Governor Arthur Yap on Monday said Bohol province’s determination to operate a molecular laboratory that can conduct polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is halfway to getting the nod.
“According to reports I received, we are 50 percent away,” Yap said in an interview with the Philippine News Agency.
The National Task Force against Covid-19 sent here a team on Friday to evaluate Bohol’s qualification to operate a molecular laboratory for PCR testing on Covid-19.
Yap said the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH), a level-3 government-run hospital, bids to qualify as a molecular laboratory in Bohol.
Aside from Gallares Hospital, Yap said the provincial government is also planning to establish its own laboratory near the airport in Panglao.
Representatives and officials from the National Task Force against Covid-19, Department of Health (DOH), World Health Organization (WHO), and Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) have already inspected the Gallares medical facility.
The team included Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Vivencio Dizon, who serves as deputy chief implementer on government approaches against Covid-19, Rachel Fermo, Fiel dela Cruz, Ava Sy, Engr. Archie Reyes and Dr. Jinho Shin.
They arrived in Bohol through a chartered flight that landed at the Bohol-Panglao International Airport Friday morning. They proceeded to GCGMH here, a level-3 hospital which bids for accreditation to operate a molecular laboratory.
Yap received the information about Dizon’s visit from National Task Force Against Covid-19 Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr.
He quoted Galvez as saying that this is “in line with the concerted efforts of the government to prevent and mitigate the spread of Covid-19 and in strengthening our healthcare system in different parts of the country”.
“Moving forward, we in Bohol must have our own polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing capability. We cannot be dependent on Cebu. We have been working on a PCR laboratory at the Gallares Hospital for the past month and last night, I have received a letter from Sec. Carlito Galvez informing me that they are sending a team to inspect the Gallares Hospital,” Yap said.
The governor also said that “to date, I have as yet no news of the second PCR test for the first batch of returning OFWs.”
On March 27, GCGMH chief of hospital, Dr. Mutya Kismet Tirol-Macuno, informed the governor during a meeting with the medical advisers that Bohol had already been identified at that time by DOH as a possible testing area for Covid-19.
Macuno said that if Bohol passes the standards, testing for Covid-19 could already be done right here in the province to prioritize those in severe health conditions.
PCR machines would be used, utilizing testing kits the same as the ones used at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Sub-National Laboratory (VSMMC-SNL).
Specimens will only be submitted to the RITM for clarificatory results if the local test result proves positive. (PNA)

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting but perhaps oversimplified
5.0 out of 5 stars What non-quants need to understand in order to take full advantage of the results that quantitative analysis can produce Almost everything most business leaders know about analytics they have learned from Tom Davenport and the material he provides in his books, notably in Competing in Analytics and Analytics at Work. In a more recent book, Judgment Calls, he and co-author Brooke Manville offer "an antidote for the Great Man theory of decision making and organizational performance": organizational judgment . That is, "the collective capacity to make good calls and wise moves when the need for them exceeds the scope of any single leader's direct control." The more non-quants there are in a given organization, the better prepared that organization will be to take full advantage of the results that quantitative analysis can produce, hence the importance of Judgment Calls.Davenport wrote Keeping Up with the Quants in collaboration with Jinho Kim to demonstrate how quantitative analysis works -- even if (especially if) their reader does not have a quantitative analysis background -- and how to make better decisions. "Analytics can be classified as descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive according to the given methods, [applications,] and purpose." They examine three analytical thinking stages and how to apply them and then shift their attention to six steps of quantitative analysis. I commend them on their skillful use of various reader-friendly devices that include boxed mini-commentaries (e.g. "The Danger of NOT Thinking Analytically," Pages 19-21), Worksheets, Tables (e.g. 5-1, "Data-mining software for finding patterns in data," Page 140), Figures (e.g. 6.1, "The process of becoming a proficient quantitative analyst," Page 156), a "Summary" at the conclusion of Chapters 1-13, and real-world examples of what can be learned (i.e.Read more › Go to Amazon
5.0 out of 5 stars For Playing Well with Quants and Their Data With data analysis becoming more important in every kind of business and organization (highlighted by Netflix, Amazon, Moneyball, and Nate Silver's political blog 538 among many others), this book offers timely advice. Keeping Up with the Quants explains the basic groundwork of the types and workings of data analysis. However, you need not be a quant to understand this book. In fact it is geared to non-quants who want to better understand how to work with the number crunchers/analysts. Even if you don't actively do the statistics yourself, it is still helpful to get up to speed on how to think about the bigger picture for using analytics.Other books likely to be helpful include Nate Silver's bestseller The Signal and the Noise: Why So Many Predictions Fail -- but Some Don'twhich makes statistical thinking fun to read about. A Lessor known work (which I learned about it in Silver's book) is Paul E. Meehl's classic Clinical Versus Statistical Prediction. This book is definitely more technical than Silver's but is geared to working with softer, psychological/behavioral issues (for reviews of the out of print edition go here: Clinical Versus Statistical Prediction: A Theoretical Analysis and a Review of the Evidence, for a lessor expensive edition here: Clinical Versus Statistical Prediction: A Theoretical Analysis and a Review of the Evidence(at this writing only the out of print edition has reviews, but it can be pricey). 5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Text for Aspiring Data Scientists AND Users... If you read the literature about new grads unable to find jobs except at McD's, one exception is a new category of job and profession called "Data Scientist" which started being used as late as 2009/2010. There now even is a CDSO--Chief Data Science Officer-- in some data intensive firms! IF your team doesn't yet have a CDSO, tell them to create the position and give it to you, especially if you're reading this review and considering purchasing this book. Entry data science: $90K range; Manager: $165K; CDSO: $220K including options, etc. (Source: DS assn.).This little gem won't turn you into a data wonk overnight, but it IS a "condensed" Data/ MBA course (especially quantitative analysis in IT) showing the most current aspects of analysis from a big data vantage point. To be brutally honest, folks who got their MBAs even as recently as four years ago, and studied linear programming etc., are now having to once again reinvent themselves with the much more heavily statistical nature of mining, machine learning, Web X.o, etc.My premise is: to be successful, we ALL need to be data scientists today, whether or not it fits our current job description! If you see any truth in that at all, this book is a must read. It avoids the deep math and algorithms behind the analysis, but gives very clear analogies, examples, and techniques in English to help with the most important steps: interpretation, relevance and use.A recent trend in big data is "ala carte" dashboards, where users configure Sharepoint and other tools via Excel etc. LOCALLY. If you're not a quant, you ARE a quant CUSTOMER, and deserve to maximize the tools you have in front of you. Asking the right questions is 75% of getting that benefit.Read more › Go to Amazon

Sooga Back Then
Sooga Island's Monster problem has only recently gone down to a reasonable level. Even 15 years ago it wasn't considered unusual for the village to have to be rebuilt twice a month.
Luckily, things have changed since then. Between new sources of food and the alliance with the local Goblins, Sooga Island is now a thriving community.
It just took some time to get there.

Samulnori: A closer look at K-culture thru percussion music
#PHnews: Samulnori: A closer look at K-culture thru percussion music
MANILA -- Cultural exchanges enable countries to get a peek of each other's culture. These include showcasing arts, dance, and music.
At the recently concluded Philippines-Korea Exchange Festival, traditional Korean percussion music, Samulnori, was showcased. Who would have thought percussion instruments have a story to tell?
"Samul" (four objects) "nori" (play) uses four traditional instruments: Kkwaenggwari (small gong), Jing (larger gong), Janggu (hourglass-shaped drum) and Buk (barrel drum). This Korean folk genre is played with music, acrobatics, folk dance, and rituals.
The Taegeuk Samulnori Team from South Korea performed energetically during the festival on September 28. The Philippine News Agency (PNA) had an exclusive interview with the group's manager and member, Kim Do-geun.

"In Janggu, there is (the) sound of Yin and Yang, which represent also earth and sky. So it can be said that we express the energy of earth and sky with this instrument," Kim said, adding that because Janggu consists of two heads made from animal skin, Koreans believe that it delivers the sound of all things in the universe.
He also noted that most percussion instruments are one-sided instruments. Janggu, on the other hand, have two sides that one needs to play differently.
"I think the manner of managing both sides (is important), considering their harmony. Sometimes it feels more difficult (to play Janggu) than other percussion instruments," he said.
Among the four instruments in Samulnori, Kim thinks that Janggu is the instrument that can represent his country.
It took him more than 20 years to learn and master Janggu. "I can say it is really hard to master (this)," he said.
 Taegeuk was formed in 1998.
Taegeuk Samulnori Team manager and member Kim Do-geun tells PNA why he chose to play Janggu, and its importance in the Korean Culture. (screenshots from interview)
"It has been 20 years since we were formed. We all met from the same middle school in Chuncheon, the capital of Gangwon province in Korea. We were all interested in traditional Korean music, which is referred to as 'gugak', and we decided to run a team," he recalled.
According to him, he and the other members, Lee Jong-sub, Sim Jae-rang, Choi Young-soon, and Lee Kyu-tae, are more focused on powerful actions in their performances.
"Aside from the beautiful sound of Janggu and its flexibility, we show more power of the instrument, as well as showcase masculine performance full of energy," Kim said.
When it comes to learning "Garak" (beats, rhythms), Kim said the group can master it within a year.
"But to be accustomed to (the) basic style of batting and getting in sync all together, it takes a really long time," he noted.
Kim emphasized that Taegeuk works as a team, and thus, the members make music altogether.
"We need to be attuned with each other, considering each one's style. It may be hard sometimes, but it feels rewarding that we perform together," he said.

Kim also said playing Janggu with other artists makes him more fulfilled and more delighted. "(By) synchronizing each action, each rhythm, we form harmony. That is ineffable," he said.
It was Taegeuk's fourth time to visit the Philippines, and Kim said Filipinos have always been full of energy.
"Each time we performed, we felt really thankful as Filipinos are so welcoming and friendly. With that, I find that Filipinos embrace other cultures with open arms," he said.
More than 2,000 people gathered at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City for the festival.
The event serves as a platform for both countries to showcase talents and culture, said National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Bernan Joseph Corpuz, Plan/Policy Formulation and Programming Division chief.
This year's festival, he said, was part of celebrating the 70th diplomatic relationship between the Philippines and South Korea.
Other performers included rising P-pop group SB19; Korean artists based in the Philippines JinHo Bae and Dasuri Choi; the Philippine Madrigal Singers; and Jean Kiley, 2014 K-pop Star Singing Category winner.
A fashion show was held in between concerts. Filipino textiles were featured in Ditta Sandico's works, while various Hanbok designed by Kim Yong-ae were also showcased.
The festival was hosted by the NCCA, United Korean Community Association, in partnership with the Embassy of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center. (PNA)
