知恩院で撮ったんだけど、こういうのなんていうのだろうか？

土曜日なのに今日もお仕事でした。

（そろそろ死ぬぞ。笑）

ですので、来週は平日２．３日休ませていただきます。

土日は何処もいっぱいだし人混みが苦手なので休みは平日にして欲しい。

（ランチも平日のほうが安いよね）

そういえば、昔、春先に清水の茶わん坂でデート中、ノートルダム学院か洛南高校付属か思い出せないけど、そこの凄く賢そうな顔した男子小学生に「バカップル！」と言われたことを思い出したのです。

（まじか！笑）

そう叫んで、猛スピードで逃げて行きやがった。

（逃げ足、速かったよな）

京都人は大人だけではなく子供も「いけず」なんだと身をもって感じ、そして確信した、茶わん坂での出来事でございます。

あと、夏真っ盛りだった今年の８月、京都コンピュータ学院側の鴨川沿いを歩いておりましたら、前方を歩く綺麗な女の人の日傘が飛ばされてとっさに走って川に落ちるギリギリで日傘を捕まえることに成功致しました。

（捕まえる。笑）

後ろにいた女子高生二人組に「めちゃめちゃ足早い！」と拍手しながら大笑いされました。

（昔と変わらず全然、走るスピード落ちていないよな、おっさんなのに。笑）

自分でもびっくりいたしました。

あと、関係ないのですが、社内に「京都のことなら何でも聞いてください」と言う京都人がいるので「平成KIZOKUはどうなったん？」と聞くと彼以外の京都人が皆笑いながら「何で京都人でもないのに平成KIZOKU知ってるんですか？」と聞かれたので「あの当時、月に３回くらい京都に来とった」というと「どんだけ京都好きなんですか？」と京都人に大笑いされたのでございます。

（平成KIZOKUのその後は京都人も良く分からないらしい）

🐉 JAPAN - DAY 11 - KYOTO 🎍

God I feel like I could write pages and pages about this day! So insanely hard to pick just a few pictures to sum it all up, such a lovely day in Kyoto. And our second to last full day in Japan :(

We started the day offf by heading to the arashima area to see the Tenryu-Ji zen Buddhist temple, which was incredibly beautiful and serene. I was just in awe the whole time. Then we spent some time walking through the nearby bamboo forest, which was also amazing. Some people seem to think it’s overrated, which idk I guess that’s fair enough, but I personally think it was really worth it! That’s definitely how I feel about a lot of the stuff I’ve done here in Japan that some people consider touristy or too busy.

From there we walked over to the monkey park, which was also so much fun even though whewwww it has been hot today. So interesting watching the monkeys, and there were so many babies! The view of Kyoto was also incredible from there, so worth it.

After an amazingly delicious sushi lunch (as always, thank you yelp), we headed back through the city towards the east, where there are a lot more temples and shrines we hadn’t seen yet. We took the smallest coolest little train there, and it was just so charming. We walked through a ton of shrines and temples, and tbh I most enjoyed the ones we hadn’t heard of in tourist books and articles! We spent time mostly in the chionin temple and yasaka shrine areas, just exploring and being wowed by the beauty of the landscape and these structures.

Our last temples/shrines of the day were also a bit accidental, especially the wonderfully silly zenkyo-an temple that was themed all around boars and pigs eeeee! But of course the kennin-Ji temple area was soooo amazing, with such amazing artwork, gardens, and beautiful architecture.

Finally in late afternoon we were worn out and headed back to get a couple drinks at a little bar before finding dinner! Tried shabu-shabu, which I hadn’t had before, pretty similar to hot pot and sooo yummy. Now on the train back to the hotel! Need to pack some stuff up to prepare to leave on Monday :(
