My favorite co-worker is about to resign, so I forced myself to go to the office for no real reason—just so I could see her and spend some time with her, even just a little. I didn’t realize how much it would affect me until now.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been with the company for six years and I’ve grown attached or I’m the one left behind? My separation anxiety is real and alive, and honestly, it feels a bit traumatic.

I was the one always talking about resigning, but she’s the one who actually did it. I really need to resign, too.

So our indecisive asses finally made a decision between MSB and OMC. Although I've watched MSB 3x already, I'm still excited to watch it every time they have a rerun. Since it was last minute, (we booked a Sept. 1 show on Aug 30 lmao how impulsive) we were not able to get the seats that we initially preferred but pleased that we still get a good view from the seats we got (Loge - Left Side)

My dudes, Mula sa Buwan did not disappoint. This year's rerun brought more! The songs were top notch, as they have always been. In addition, the stage itself was graced with gorgeous back drop and projection.

Myke Salomon did Cyrano justice, but it will always be Gab Pangilinan's Roxanne that captivated me. Her live vocals is what I pay those tickets for!

The show started at 1930H so we were not able to grab an early dinner prior. We went out of the theater with my girlie pop being antok and hungry hahaha. So we booked a ride from Circuit to Poblacion. The rain has not stopped so we just went to Filling Station (since it operates 24H and we weren't sure how long we'll be stuck with the inclement weather)

With her being antok and hungry, she kinda over ordered yet again, resulting in take aways lmao. I got my favorite strawberry milkshake and buffalo wings. We shared a pizza and salad, while she ordered pasta and steak for herself.

Took some cute photographs downstairs before booking a ride to her workplace at 0500H. After we got there, I booked my own ride home. Clingy? Di na lang nag book from Poblacion, hinatid pa nga hahaha.

Really glad to have someone watch my favorite stage musical with me. Now she asks if I want to watch OMC as well because she enjoyed MSB so much daw hahaha idk mayaman ba ko?

[The Keihancarl Diaries: May 17, 2025]

Welcome to the third part of #TheFourWeekendPlan! It’s me, Keihancarl, and it’s time for a mall-hopping trip after attending two otaku events (on the same weekend) two weeks ago. And yes, this is the first mall-hopping trip for 2025, with the last being the MIBF/Mall Of Asia/Ayala Malls Manila Bay from September last year.

So I’m wearing red and black for this trip. For a while, I’ve been debating between Manila (Binondo + Ermita, plus Monumento in Caloocan and Cloverleaf in Quezon City), BGC (with a short stop at One Ayala Mall later in the evening, where FanFes 2025 is being held), or Makati (Rockwell + Circuit, and possibly, a Binondo side trip). I’ve already revisited the first two in 2023 (except Cloverleaf) and 2024, respectively. Should I decide with the latter instead?

After a period of indecisiveness, I decided on the first one. Well, Manila, it is. Having visited BGC just last year, I think I’m already satisfied with what I’ve seen there… for now, at least. The Rockwell and Circuit areas can wait a little longer. And so are the places I’ve yet to visit (and re-visit) since the pandemic, including Ortigas, Greenhills, and Alabang.

Anyway, I left the house at exactly 10:00 AM. Traffic is surprisingly light on the way to Novaliches. From there, I took the UV Express to Monumento. Initially, I wanted to get off at LRT Balintawak, only to be told that the van would not pass by the area. I was completely baffled at first, but seeing that the UV Express van was passing by the North Luzon Expressway (via Mindanao Avenue), I finally understood. Traffic was terrible along Quirino Highway and Mindanao Avenue (going to North Avenue), anyway. The fare had increased a bit, from 35 (in 2019) to 50 pesos (in 2025). As a result, I decided to skip Cloverleaf (again), knowing that there isn’t anything worth visiting as both Uniqlo and Biblio had already closed. But the trip was faster than expected, and I arrived at Monumento around 11:30 AM.

And I reached my first stop, SM City Grand Central. The UV Express dropped me at the LRT Station, where their new terminal (UV Express) is.

I only checked a few shops, mainly bookstores. As expected, I visited all three bookstores in the mall. The National Book Store branch on the lower ground level really surprised me. On my last visit, the store space appeared to be small. Well, they must be working on the enclosed space at the time. It looks quite larger than I expected.

Biblio was transferred to the fourth level (can't recall where it was previously located) beside the SM Store entrance. And guess what I just saw, there are some small hardbound books that were similar to Harry Potter’s. Yup, an unauthorized parody novel called Barry Trotter by Michael Gerber.

At Fully Booked, an entire shelf was dedicated to collectible toys, including Hirono. There were fewer manga books on the shelves, either.

An e-sports event was held on the fifth floor (SM Skylight Park). I'm still amazed at the mall's biophilic design, just like the other SM mall in Caloocan (but not the nearby SM Sangandaan).

I also took a moment to check the Caloocan City skyline and the LRT [Yamaha] Monumento Station from the food court's window.

Some of the shops from my last visit have closed (including the milk tea shop FRNK) and have been replaced with new ones. So far, the mall is actually doing well, given its prime location and its close proximity to EDSA and the LRT.

The overpass to the other side of the LRT Monumento is the same as last time, still unfinished. So I’m forced to go back to where I crossed (at the other end of the mall, unfortunately), and it’s a little far from the station entrance. But I managed to load up my Beep card before turning back, at least.

And I took the LRT to Tayuman Station. The directional signs now read Dr. A. Santos Station (in Parañaque), a few stops from the previous southern terminus, Baclaran Station. The first phase of the LRT Line 1 Extension to Cavite was finally opened in November 2024. It’ll be a lot easier to go to PITX that way, and I can finally visit the rest of the major malls in Parañaque for the first time. That can wait, though.

Anyway, I finally got to ride the new generation trains, the red ones. It was cooler inside. And it runs a little fast, too. I reached my next stop in about ten minutes, with four stops in between.

On to my next stop, SM City San Lazaro. There was a 3-day mall sale. Fiesta streamers (colored flags) decorated the mall's atrium area. Outside, it rained just a little bit. I decided to check a few shops, including Booksale. I bought a couple of second-hand manga there.

Around this time, I was starting to get hungry so I decided to have a lasagna and garlic sticks at Greenwich. It didn’t take me long to finish all of it too.

The SM Store signage was updated. It feels kind of inconsistent on the atrium entrances, though.

The cinemas on the east side are being renovated. I'm not sure about the ones on the other side, though. They're probably going to convert it into additional tenant spaces, but who knows?

Proceeding to the next stop, I decided to take a jeep to Recto and a modern tricycle to 999 Mall. I took a quick moment to check the shop where I bought my anime shirts, and this time, I couldn’t find anything interesting.

I then proceeded to the Lucky Chinatown Mall and headed immediately to the cinema area. There were a lot of available seats, so I sat down on the one beside the escalator and worked on this post. By the way, the first and second floors of the LCM Annex (Imperial Wing) were closed, but the third level remains open. It seems like KKV is opening a branch on that wing, hence the ongoing works?

After a twenty-minute rest, it was time for me to explore the Binondo malls. I decided to visit 168 Mall first (heading back to City Place). I find it difficult to navigate the area due to the crowd of shoppers. The mall feels kind of cramped, too. But I did manage to reach the top floors for the first time, the ones where the food court and the formal wear shops are.

Going back to Lucky Chinatown Mall, I decided to have a lemon tea drink at Cha Yi. I didn’t get to check much of the mall, but I did have some selfies at the cinema area. And I get to see one of the mascots, a mime dressed in a small, red dragon-like costume.

I took a modern tricycle to Manila City Hall. Along the way, I managed to take some pics of the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge and the Binondo Church, among others. I passed by the underground pedestrian pass, and I noticed that the second-hand bookstore, Books From The Underground, is closed.

Next stop, SM City Manila. I only visit a few shops there, including Booksale (I bought another manga book as well) and Uniqlo (just a quick check at the UT section). Flying Tiger opened a branch at the mall, but I didn’t bother to check it out. There’s also a 3-day mall sale. There were also fiesta streamers in the atrium area like the ones in SM City San Lazaro.

I then took the LRT to the United Nations station and visited Rizal Park. The stairsteps at the Central Station were covered with Naruto characters, advertising their collaboration with Mobile Legends. Getting off at UN Avenue, I decided to check the area near the National Museum. There were some improvements in the park between the two museums, and it looked really good. It's currently closed to the public, but once it opens, I won't have to pass by T. M. Kalaw Avenue just to get to Rizal Park.

Moving on, I passed by Rizal Park, and the guards (dressed as Guardia Civils) will inspect your bags before going inside. I stopped for a few minutes, watched the dancing fountains, and worked on this post. I decided to skip the Baywalk area, which is now called the Dolomite Beach, due to time constraints.

At the final stop, Robinsons Manila, I only had dinner at Chowking. I didn’t check any of the shops there. The mall is undergoing a major redevelopment. Well, the tiles in some parts of the mall were like an abstract painting. Maybe they’ll fix that soon.

And it’s time to go home. I decided to take the UV Express to SM Fairview, like always. Travel was quite fast (except in some parts of Commonwealth Avenue, particularly the Manggahan and North Fairview areas), considering it’s a weekend. I got home a little past 10:00 PM.

It was a satisfying mall-hopping trip, despite skipping the Cloverleaf area for various reasons. Also, I managed to enjoy the entire trip, just the way I wanted, though I almost fell asleep at the LCM cinema lobby during a little break from exploring. Still, I managed to make it throughout the day without any problems.

Well then, I might do another mall-hopping trip, probably in a couple of months. This time, I'm aiming for the three SM malls in the Parañaque area, one of which is near the LRT Dr. Santos Station. Or maybe I’ll finally get to check the Opus Mall (Robinsons Bridgetowne) and the GH Mall (Greenhills) soon.

But for now, this concludes the third part of #TheFourWeekendPlan. I'm looking forward to another cafe weekend in Lagro to conclude this year’s T4WP, and I'll probably explore the area while I'm at it.

how life's been after 5 years since i last posted.

240907. omg i can't believe i found my way back here!!

so how has life been? hmm... 2 years of the pandemic went by, and i graduated (almost got my laude but wasn't quite there... i'll forever curse the 0.001 excess that i had..).

i got in med school (i'm still in ust) and i passed the boards after YL 1 in med school!! (i am now an RMT hehe).

so 2022 was crazy... i met the worst guy possible and had a thing with him. so i think this highly contributed to me flopping in neuro 2. so this thing went on for a year i think, before finally deciding to END things.

2023. i was chilling lang, acads here, ganaps there. tapos i witnessed the downfall of omegle... this was the year i met eve also as my friend and on the latter months of this year my significant other (eme)!! so july, i met him the first time. september-october-ish... i was starting to like him na hahaha. and he made me a playlist ;;pp

2024. me and chacha went to taiwan, eve & i went to see an opm concert in circuit makati, i passed my 3rd year part 1, went to the haikyuu movie: battle of the garbage dump with eve in moa!!

currently, i am back to 3rd year (part 2, and my last). i went to see laufey's goddess tour with eve in moa arena too!! nd i've finally graduated from being a V ;pp sorrows sorrows prayers hahaha. and my lolo's going to stay in manila for good bec he had a stroke 2x in less than a week months before...

Free time to ask myself.

1. What subjects in school am I passionate about, and how can I explore them further?

-Siguro passionate ako sa asignaturang Filipino. Kaya nang maramdaman kong interesado ako rito, sinubukan kong mag-adbans sa mga aralin? Hahaha. Nerdy ba? Maliban diyan, bumili rin ako ng napakaraming libro para lang mag-aral pa nang todo. Dagdag kaalaman ba! Sa ngayon, ineexplore ko naman ang pagsusulat. Kagaya ng tula, sanaysay, kuwento, o 'di kaya'y mga karanasan ko sa aplikasyon na ito!

2. Is there a new hobby or interest I want to try out?

-Gusto kong subukan na sumayaw! Natutuwa akong sumayaw, ang kaso... hindi marunong! hahahhaa.. kaunting painit na lang sa rice cooker tiyak na lalambot na rin! Hanga ako sa marunong sumayaw at may kakayahan na lumikha ng mga steps.

3. Have I caught up with friends recently, either in person or online?

-Hmmm, I got caught up with someone online. Nakilala ko siya sa Langmate. It is an app where you could chitchat with people around the world para mapractice ang language na alam mo o matutuhan ang language na nais mo. Anyway, balik tayo, nakilala ko sa aplikasyon na iyon si Lucas na taga Spain. At sa totoo lang, sobrang grateful ako na nakilala ko siya. Sobrang bait niya! At mas naenganyo pa akong matutuhan ang Español at Hapones. :))

4. What books or movies have I been wanting to check out?

-Nakuha ng Gapo ang atensyon ko. Aywan! Tumingin lang kasi ako sa National Book Store, naghahanap lang ng libro ulit sa Filipino pandagdag koleksyon ko at para may mabasa... kaso naagaw-pansin ako sa Nobelang Gapo ni Lualhati Bautista.. balak ko sanang bilhin kaso wala akong dalang salapi noong araw na iyon.. katabi pa no'n ang isa pang Nobela ni Lualhati Bautista, ang Dekada '70. Kung mayaman lang ako, binili ko na ang dalawang iyon!

5. Can I brainstorm ideas for a creative project, like writing, drawing, or music?

-Siguro para sa akin, nahihirapan akong mag-isip sa mga bagay na wala akong kakayahan o expertise, at kaalaman. Mahilig lamang ako sa Linguistics, at sa pagsusulat. Music na rin! -Mayroong one time, sumali ako sa arnis, talagang desidido akong sumali kaya nagpursigi akong mapapayag ang aking ina. Awa ng Diyos, pumayag siya. Hindi rin nagtagal ay nagquit ako, gustuhin ko man ituloy kaso abala ako sa pag-aaral ko, at napanghihinaan na rin ako ng loob dahil iniisip ko na "iyon lang talaga ang kaya ko?"

7. What goals do I have for the upcoming school year, and what steps can I take to work towards them?

-Pangunahing layunin ko ngayon, mag-apply sa mga Exchange Student Program. Gusto kong makapag-aral sa ibang bansa! Japan sana o kaya sa Espanya, kaso hindi bukas ang mga program nila, kaya sa ngayon sa ibang bansa ako nag-aapply. Kahit hindi na sa Japan at Espanya, basta makaranas lang maging exchange student. Kaya nag-aapply ako ngayon sa lahat HAHHAHA ipinagdadasal ko na lang na pumasa ako.

8. Can I learn a new skill, such as cooking, coding, or playing an instrument?

-Siguro new skill kaya ko namang matutuhan. May kakayahan namang matuto ng bagong skill basta may determinasyong matuto! Gusto kong pagbutihin ang skill ko sa pagpiano, ang problema, abala ako at tinatamad.. dagdag ko na rin ang cooking, mahilig ako magluto, isa siya sa skill na inaaral ko, masarap naman ako magluto ang problema takot akong matalsikan ng mantika!

9. Have I volunteered or found ways to give back to my community?

-Sa ngayon wala/hindi pa.

10. Is there a place nearby that I haven't explored yet, like a park or museum?

-Mayroon!!! Gusto kong pumunta sa Makati Circuit. Nakatira yata ako sa ilalim ng bato? Hindi ko pa napupuntahan 'yon sa buong buhay ko.

11. Can I organize my room or workspace for a fresh start?

-Sa totoo lang, tamad ako maglinis. Ang kama ko laging magulo. Pero that's just how things are for me and that's how it works for me. Mas naaalala ko kasi kung saan ko nilagay kapag magulo kaysa sa kapag maayos e basta lang inayon kaya nakakalimutan ko kung saan ko nilagay mga gamit ko. Pero somehow may negative sides ang magulo ang kama, nawawala rin kasi mga gamit ko, oh diba? burara lang...

12. Have I considered starting a journal or blog to express myself?

-Mayroon na, actually gumawa ako ng diary sa phone ko na isa kaso sira na... may diary din naman ako na notebook pero hindi ko na tinuloy. Itong blog ko na 'to sa tumblr para lang iexpress mga thoughs ko sa pamamagitan ng mga sulatin lalong-lalo na sa pamamagitan ng masining na pagpapahayag sa likha kong mga tula.

13. What future career paths or interests am I curious about, and how can I learn more about them?

-Interested akong maging derma at surgeon! Pangarap ko talaga 'yan noong bata ako, napalitan lang ng pagiging Filipino teacher. Siguro kung mali ang desisyon na maging guro, itutuloy ko na lang ang derma o surgeon.

14. Can I plan a fun outing or activity with friends or family?

-Oo naman, kaso madalas kanselado dahil busy ako.

15. Have I researched any topics or issues that I find important or intriguing?

-Nagreresearch lang ako kapag may argumentative essay o research paper na gagawin. hahahha.

16. Can I experiment with different styles or looks through fashion or makeup?

-Through fashion, yes. Guilty pleasure ko ang maging stylish through my outfit, doon ko rin ineexpress ang mood ko. Ang make-up pinag-aaralan ko pa, sa ngayon, blush-on, lipstick, at eyeliner pa lang ginagawa ko.

17. What are some ways I can challenge myself academically or intellectually?

-I want to challenge myself na huwag maging tamad? HAHHAHAHA. Kompleto naman lahat ng requirements ko sa paaralan, hindi mababa ang mga iskor, pero siguro procrastination ang kalaban ko? Gagawa ako 3 days before the deadline o kaya minsan sa araw ng deadline mismo. Pero hindi ako gumagawa sa school, nakakabastos lang sa guro na ipakita mo sa kaniya na hindi mo ginawa ang t.a hahahaha.

18. Have I taken time to relax and unwind, maybe by listening to music or practicing mindfulness?

-Yesss, ginagawa ko kapag stress ako!!!!

19. Can I set some personal goals for self-improvement or growth?

-Siguro need kong improve ang katams ko HAHHAHAHAH. As I said earlier, lumalala na ang katamaran ko.

20. Have I reached out to a mentor, teacher, or older sibling for advice or guidance on my interests and aspirations?

-Yes, sa teacher ko noong grade 7 ako. Super bait niya at lagi siyang nariyan kapag may problema ako. Lagi siyang nagbibigay payo o advice sa akin. Para ko na siyang nanay sa kung gaano kami kalapit sa isa't isa. Nalinawan ako kahit papaano sa kung anong gusto kong maging at anong paraan ko para makamit 'yon! May oras na sukong-suko na ako pero nariyan siya, kinomfort pa niya ako kasama ng mga co-teachers niya na close ko rin. Hindi ko alam kung anong magagawa ko kung wala siya, hindi niya man ako inaalagaan kapag may sakit ako, pero ang laki ng appreciation ko sa kaniya. Love na love ko siya. :)))
