OC Items Descriptions Game
(NOTE: this post has been languishing in the drafts of my main writing blog since Aug 2022, but I still wanted to acknowledge the post that birthed it)
I thought I'd make a tag game off the back of this post by tangodyke because, IMO, "in the tags" is too restrictive for this kind of question.
Rules: Pick an OC and describe their phone/ laptop/ car/ backpack (or fantasy equivalent) based on their personality.
Tagging: @aalinaaaaaa @ieppiq @wispstalk @rhikasa @eli-writes-sometimes @hannah-heartstrings @artdecosupernova-writing @mythrilpencil @aquadestinyswriting @reneesbooks @oh-no-another-idea @winglesswriter @pheita

In an effort to unstick myself, I'm doing this for Aderyn.
Phone
I've mentioned before that Aderyn technically has 3 phones, because she believes in redundancy. All are jailbroken android devices running a GFS-custom OS. However, since I wrote that, I changed my mind a little. The 3rd device is an ancient clamshell of some kind, which makes hiding it in her boots much easier and means it holds it's battery charge better. Also, the font she uses for her primary device is akin to Wingdings, so that no one else can read messages over her shoulder.
Laptop
This is a gunmetal-grey Lenovo ThinkPad. Again, as it's GFS-provided, it has a locked-down custom UNIX OS and encryption coming out of the wazoo (not that Aderyn really understands this, as her talents lie elsewhere). Her sole allowance to customization of it is a little sticker of a stylized/ illustrated mountain range in one corner (mostly so she knows the difference between hers and the others in the office as they all have the same tech).
Car
I've talked a bit about her Land Rover here, but some things I've not mentioned before are that:
Her uncle, Modryn, helped remodel the interior
He also helped her convert the engine over to a hybrid
A lot of the work was done on a shoestring, so nearly everything was from charity, hand-me-downs, repurposed, or gifts. There's very little that's new-new.
She has proximity alarms for when she's in a rural or otherwise insalubrious area. Her mother gave Aderyn these after someone tried to break in while she was sleeping.
Living on the road has caused her to be incorrectly referred to as part of the Romani diaspora (the OfNS hates her).
Her car literally is her life.
Backpack
She has a small black fabric handbag that can convert to a hip pouch, and tries not to carry very much on her as it can impede movement. There's a little bit about her Daily Carry here.
During The Ruby Falls it gains a bullet hole, which one of the Blades lovingly patches over with the Ace flag colours. Aderyn does not know that's what the purple/grey/black are for; she just thinks it's neat.

Design The OnePlus Open is a foldable phone with a unique design that combines a clamshell form factor with a large, tablet-sized display when unfolded. The phone is made of high-quality materials, including a ceramic back and a metal frame. It is also water and dust-resistant, which makes it a good option for people who are active or who live in wet climates. Display The OnePlus Open has two displays: a 6.7-inch AMOLED display on the front and a 7.7-inch AMOLED display on the inside. Both displays are bright, clear, and colorful. The front display is also quite large, which makes it easy to use the phone one-handed. Camera The OnePlus Open has three cameras on the back: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The cameras take great photos in a variety of lighting conditions. The main sensor is especially good in low light, and the ultrawide sensor is great for taking wide shots. The macro sensor is a bit less useful, but it can be fun to use for taking close-up photos. Performance The OnePlus Open is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 16GB of RAM. This makes the phone very fast and responsive. It can handle even the most demanding tasks without any lag. The phone also has a large 5000mAh battery that can easily last a full day on a single charge. Software The OnePlus Open runs on OxygenOS 13, which is based on Android 13. OxygenOS is a clean and lightweight skin that doesn't bloat the phone with unnecessary features. It is also very customizable, so you can make the phone look and feel the way you want it to. Battery The OnePlus Open has a 5000mAh battery, which is one of the largest batteries in a foldable phone. This makes the phone very good for people who use their phones a lot. In my testing, I was able to get through a full day of use on a single charge without any problems. I wanna partake in this other brain rot while I’m still rotting in the symbiotes - here's my contribution to the tumblr pirate skeleton crew
Kelek’s got the curse of the sea serpent so he don’t go out to sea no more. Both him and Southwind washed up onto some pirate island/port and are now just kinda stuck there.
They never stray by the docks or the sea anytime they do there’s inevitably tales of glimmering scales, razor teeth from a gruesome maw, and piercing eyes beneath the waves.
So Kelek watches from a distance (even tho he can see the serpent regardless of his own proximity to the sea) and fanboys over the pirates for fun
Tumblr media
Kelek when the pirates come back successfully, especially when a Big Task (like finding Nightmare)_is a success.
Here's Fumes/Southwind out of the tags lmao The second time Kelek, and currently the last time, was dragged under by the sea serpent Southwind actually jumped in to help despite knowing the inevitability due to Kelek's curse.
This led to a fight with the sea serpent where he actually managed to get it to back off, but at the expense of his magic so he started to dust/turn to sea-foam. Kelek and him had been holding onto each other so Kelek ends up holding the last thing to fade - his molten soul.
Tumblr media
but by Ocean Magic his soul stays together. Idk maybe Kelek puts it in a clamshell. Regardless his body reforms but he only has the magic of his soul-heart left so he reforms but he's
y'know
can fit in the palm of your hand
but he is alive!
And so he washes up on shore with Kelek and the two make a life on Criminal Island for Criminals

Written for @kcfanficweek Klaroline Fanfiction Week Day 1- All Human Fanfic Day.
This is a follow-up to my work in A Beautiful Symmetry, Chapter 83: Part 10 - Klarosummer Bingo. Thanks for all of the asks and encouragement to write more from this world. Enjoy!
Please review here.
Part 2: Newsflash — seashell bras give me hives
The fake pine scent coupled with musk overwhelmed her senses and made her gag. She blinked rapidly, realizing she was waking face-first on the couch. Fuck. It smelled like Damon had rubbed his Paco Rabanne-soaked ass all over it. “Easy sweetheart,” Klaus murmured unexpectedly from above.
She looked up, wincing at the bruises she could feel along the base of her skull. Klaus’ concerned face was a bit fuzzy as she tried to focus, but once she took in the severity of his own injuries, she snapped back to reality. At least one black eye, cuts along his cheeks and forehead that looked suspiciously like the gaudy rings that bore the Salvatores’ family crest. “Klaus? Oh, my god — what did those bastards do to you?!”
“Nothing I don’t intend to return in kind,” he answered, the coldness of his voice making her shiver.
The Salvatores had first introduced Klaus as ‘new money business’, which Caroline had assumed meant that he was a high-level dealer, or maybe even a drug lord. She’d been careful around him, doing her best to check her curiosity whenever she saw him at the club, but she couldn’t help but wonder if he had information she could use. Especially now that it seemed the badge lying on the coffee table belonged to him.
She was pissed at him for keeping secrets, but realized she was being a hypocrite. After all, she’d weaseled her way into Salvatore Sirens, the mermaid-themed burlesque club, under false pretenses too. It was all Bonnie’s stupid fault — her loser boyfriend got in too deep with the Salvatores and couldn’t pay them back — so she begged Caroline to get a job there and spy on the Salvatores and get evidence of their drug trafficking.
All this time, she’d felt conflicted about her growing feelings for Klaus, worried about how to keep him out of this mess when she finally had evidence to take to the police. And it turned out that Klaus was the police. She nodded to his badge, her voice barely above a whisper as she said, “Of all the things I would’ve guessed about you, this was not one of them.”
“You wondered about me,” he asked in an oddly hopeful tone. “I wasn’t sure how much of what you’d shown me was real.” At her affronted expression, he hastily explained, “Not that I assumed anything untoward about you or your...assets. Theyre lovely.” Gray eyes widened in horror as he quickly corrected his wandering gaze, adding, “I meant that you’re lovely! All of you, that is.”
She raised an eyebrow, not really sure what to say. Klaus rambled when he was nervous. And he wasn’t nearly as smooth as his drug lord persona he’d adopted for his undercover work. She liked this Klaus better. “You’re lovely as well.” With a teasing wink, she added, “All of you.” The throbbing of her head reminded her that this definitely was the wrong time to flirt. “Tell me you have a plan,” she muttered, careful to keep her voice low in case the Salvatores were watching them.
“Everything will be fine, Caroline. I promise.”
“Well, this is just awkward. Because I’m pretty sure nothing will be fine for either of you ever again,” Damon sneered, straddling a chair off to the side while Stefan creepily sat so close to Caroline he almost was in her lap. Both brothers had dark eyes, but it was Stefan’s that she found the most disturbing. They were perfectly blank — devoid of emotion — but yet they glittered with an eerie awareness. And right now, it was directed at her.
When Stefan began running his fingers along the top of her hand, she immediately tried to jerk it away, her flesh crawling from his touch. However, his grip was iron and she had no choice but to let him continue his silent exploration.
“Let go of her,” Klaus snarled, struggling to break free of his bonds.
Damon watched him struggle, an amused grin on his pale face as he said, “We’re going to play a game. I’ll ask you questions, and each time you lie, my brother with touch another part of Caroline. And she has so many pretty parts.” He cocked his dark head, his voice little more than a sleazy purr. “And just so you know, Stefan has had his eye on her for awhile. Normally, there’s a strict a hands-off policy with our girls — since it’s just not worth the payoffs or the inevitable body dumps — but your little crush on her is too convenient not to exploit.”
Caroline sucked in a gasp, looking away from Stefan’s blank stare as he continued to weirdly massage her knuckles. Fuck — why was he licking his lips?
Clearly noticing Stefan’s disconcerting behavior, Klaus ground out through clenched teeth, “What do you want to know?”
“Your badge says ‘narcotics’. So, what are you? Cop? DEA?”
“Narcotics agent. With the DEA,” He replied tersely. His steely gaze flicked over to Stefan, who paid him no mind as he continued to toy with Caroline’s hand, running a blunt nail across her cuticles. “I answered your question — let go of her,” he seethed.
Damon shook his head, dark eyes full of mirth as he taunted, “You answered one question. And Stefan is still only touching one of Caroline’s parts. We need to give him a freebie — trust me, you don’t want Stefan to have idle hands.”
She hated that she shivered at Damon’s threatening words, the weight of Stefan’s empty stare making her want to scream. Her thoughts raced at what Klaus had revealed. He wasn’t a local police officer — he worked at the federal level. This meant he was even more useful to her cause than she’d realized. Plus, it meant the Feds already were onto the Salvatores’ drug operation. With a start, she remembered the tiny camera hidden among the gaudy pearls of her ridiculous seashell bra. She needed to make sure everything that happened here was caught on camera.
She subtly shifted, arching her back to get the best possible angle. She sat very still as she focused on Damon to ensure several frames were captured before moving onto Klaus, hoping she properly catalogued all of his injuries. It was when she turned her attention to Stefan that Damon called her out with a sharp laugh, “What’s with you pointing your tits at my brother? Yeah, your rack’s pretty awesome, but you’re one crazy bitch if you think it’s going to save you.”
“Leave her alone,” Klaus demanded, mercifully pulling focus away from her for the moment.
His face cleared as he nodded in agreement. “Right — back to my questions. So how long have the Feds been onto us and what evidence do you guys have?”
Stefan briefly looked away from her, seemingly interested in Klaus’ response, and she quickly considered her options. What could she use as a weapon? She couldn’t risk damaging the camera in her ridiculous bra and the sequins of her mermaid costume only would scrape skin, not break it. Her Salvatore Sirens’ outfit was just as useless as it was uncomfortable. As she shifted her hips, she jumped slightly at the press of the steel boning that was poking its way through a hole in the lining. Of course! She’d accidentally ripped a seam climbing out of the giant clamshell during her act, and there hadn’t been time to see the stage manager before she was expected to mingle with the crowd.
With a slight nudge of her free hand, she caressed the sharp tip of the metal, slowly inching it out of the small tear in the fabric. Once it was out, she hugged it tightly between her palm and her thigh, weighing her options. While she wished she could use it to cut through Klaus’ bonds, Stefan or Damon would stop her first. She had no choice — she’d need to injure Stefan before doing anything else. Feeling slightly queasy, she sucked in a breath and then took advantage of Stefan’s uncomfortably close proximity to lean into him just enough to hide her weapon. Her unexpected move distracted him and she managed to put all of her weight behind the first blow, jamming the rigid piece of metal into his neck. He immediately bellowed, instinctively grabbing at it to yank it out, spraying blood while Damon cursed and reached for her.
She barely avoided Damon’s clutches, shoving a still-screaming Stefan away from her to get to Klaus. However, Klaus surprised her by leaping to his feet, hands already free. He’d silently freed himself and had been biding his time. In a blinding burst of speed, he’d managed to strike down Damon with some sort of downward-slashing movement with his elbow, and delivered a powerful punch to Stefan’s jaw, causing him to crumple to the ground with a pitiful moan, his neck wound continuing to bleed.
A fine spray of blood had splattered across them both and the air stank of sweat; however, Caroline was certain she’d never been more turned on in her life as she stared in wonder at Klaus. Returning her heated gaze, he told her, “You jumped the gun a bit, but I do enjoy a woman who takes charge, love.”
Before she could reply, the room suddenly swarmed with agents who secured the Salvatores and began checking Caroline and Klaus’ injuries. He grimaced a bit when one of the agents poked a bit too hard at his ribs, but continued his debriefing, glancing over at Caroline to say, “While the Salvatores destroyed the bugs I’d planted in here, at least you’ll be able to corroborate what happened.”
Caroline nodded, blue eyes lighting up excitedly as she answered, “Plus, there’s my boob camera!”
From the quirk of his brow and flash of his dimples, it seemed Klaus was anxious to give her evidence a thorough examination.

All the new products from Apple's 'Spring Loaded' announcement event
The build-up for Apple’s Spring Loaded 2021 product announcement event is finally over. Today, Tim Cook takes the stage to unleash a new wave of Apple products onto the market. We’ll be watching live in the player embedded below and breaking down all the new stuff as it happens. Just keep scrolling to read the rolling recap.
youtube
Here’s a list of some new products we could see, including a new iPad Pro model, a revamped Apple TV, and possibly some new AirPods.
Let’s get to the event!
Tim Cook starts by talking about the company’s environmental impact. Earth Day happens on Thursday, so it makes sense to start there. He restates the carbon neutrality goals.
Apple Card
Cook says the Apple Card had the “most successful” credit card launch ever. Starting today, Apple Card will allow spouses and partners to hold a card together, so both will be able to use it to build credit. Apple Card Family also allows anyone in the family over 13 reap the benefits of using the card.
Apple Podcasts
Apple is redesigning the Podcasts app with a whole new look and introducing channels to help find new content from creators. There will also now be a subscription option, so creators can charge money for special access like early listening and special episodes.
New purple iPhones
Trippy purple iPhones showed up on 4/20. Convenient.
Is it simply coincidence that the new purple iPhone makes its debut on 4/20? Maybe. It’s coming to the iPhone 12 lineup in a few weeks.
AirTag
AirTags will help you find all the stuff you lose. Apple
After literally years of speculation, Apple has finally released its own physical location tags. They will work with any iPhone with the U1 chip inside for hyper-accurate location information. The app works with Find My and guides you along a path to find the lost tag.
Apple says it has added unwanted tag detection and other safeguards to prevent you from sneaking a tag on a person and tracking them.
They’re $29 each and $99 for a four pack. You can opt for the fancier Hermes leather AirTags if you’re rolling in Dogecoin profits.
Apple TV
The new Apple TV remote looks better, but I’d still love more buttons.
We’re getting a new season of Ted Lasso in July! That’s fantastic news! Looks like there’s new hardware, too.
The new Apple TV 4K gets the A12 Bionic chip, which allows it to play HDR content in high framerates. The Apple TV now uses the iPhone’s camera and proximity sensor to calibrate your TV’s color. This is a familiar process for home theater nerds, but should make a big difference for average folks.
Apple finally redesigned the remote! It has a jog wheel and the Siri button is on the side. I’m skeptical still.
The new Apple TV starts at $179 with 32 GB storage, or $199 with 64 GB.
M1 Macs
Rumors suggested we might get some new M1 machines, and it looks like that’s the case. The new colorful iMac was designed specifically for the M1 chip. It comes in a variety of colors to add “a sense of joy.”
The new iMac is extremely skinny thanks to M1. There only two fans inside, so it stays under ten decibels most of the time. Apple says it has reduced the overall sound it makes by 50 percent.
The 24-inch screen sits under one edge-to-edge piece of glass. 11.3-million pixels in the 4.5K retina display. P3 Gamut with a billion colors make this thing seem like a monster. It has a low-reflectivity coating to fight glare.
Apple has upgraded the camera, microphones, and speakers as a nod to the Pandemic video chatting boom. It has a 1080p camera with a larger sensor. It uses the M1’s image signal processor to add some computational adjustments to the picture to make it look better. It also now has a three microphone array tuned to ignore noise from the system. It has a six-speaker audio system inside. Apple is amped about the sound going on here.
Someone slap a keyboard in a clamshell on this thing. I want a 24-inch MacBook Pro.
Apple says you’ll notice a 2x speed bump in some resource-heavy applications like Adobe apps. The announcement lists a lot of arbitrary comparison numbers, but real world tests will show how big the difference is. I expect it to be very good, though.
The computer has four USB-C ports, two of which are Thunderbolt. It has a new magnetic power adapter on its two-meter cable. The power cable looks like the one that comes with the MacBook. Ethernet now connects via the power cable.
In addition to the new machine, it also comes with matching mouse and keyboard options. The new Magic Keyboard has Touch ID built in.
This looks handy.
It starts at $1,299 and it will ship in the first half of May. The upgraded version will be $1,499 and up. I have a feeling Apple is going to sell a lot of these.
M1-Powered iPads
After a long, spy-themed cinematic video, Apple just revealed the M1-powered iPad. Again, we get a lot of speed comparisons, which are hard to wrap your head around. The short version: It’s going to be absurdly fast. There’s a new 2 TB configuration, too, for storing tons of data. It gets Thunderbolt support for better storage and external display compatibility.
The new iPad Pro also has 5G inside now. Everything gets 5G! Hooray!
The new True Depth camera system now has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It enables a new feature called Center Stage, which uses machine learning to track you as you move around the frame.
The 12.9-inch pro has a 5.6-million pixel screen. It has the same performance as the XDR display. It offers 1,000 nits of overall brightness and 1,600 nix of peak brightness. It really does sound like a miniature version of the Pro display.
As predicted, the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro uses mini LED backlight system. It involves tons of very small backlights. There are more than 10,000 of them back there behind the display.
The 12.9-inch model starts at $1,099, which is still a lot, but you also get….a lot. Choosing between that and the M1 MacBook Air seems kinda tricky. Buying into the iPad will be considerably more expensive, though, once you add the keyboard case and Apple Pencil.
That’s it for the announcements! There’s a lot to unpack here, so look for product reviews in the coming weeks.

Circus Peanut Peanut Butter
Tumblr media
Rating: 5/5 ~ 16 votes
Time: 5 minutes (omnivore, unhealthy version), 7 minutes (vegan, unhealthy version), 1 hour (vegan, healthy version)
Every Thursday when I was a kid, my mom would plop me and my brother down at the local library for children’s storytime. When it was over and the head librarian had dismissed us, I would roam the library in order to gaze upon my favorite library things: the model ships, the strange YA cartoon books, and the aisle where every book had a blue sticker of a man smoking a pipe. When mom showed up again and it was time to go, a video cassette—the Star Trek episode, “The Trouble with Tribbles,” usually—was clasped between my grubby paws. In my brother’s, the latest installment in the Hank the Cowdog children’s book series. Ahh… just thinking about the VHS section and I can smell the polypropylene-imbued air sure to be found when in close proximity to the clamshell case palisade!
Tumblr media
Come spring, a box of circus tickets would appear on the library counter suspiciously close to the checkout machine. The circus was coming to town! ...And our parents would never let us go. ...Until the day they did.
In truth, I don’t remember much from the circus. It wasn’t in a tent, it was in the town’s hockey arena—and poodles took the place of elephants. In fact, I didn’t even eat circus peanuts while there! Get this, my dad bought a box of Cracker Jacks—for himself! However, this was the genesis of my love affair with the circus. Sorry, honey. There’s someone else… and his name is Barry Lubin! (Barry Lubin is a famous clown.)
Fast forward to the near present and after getting the quarantine spring jibblies, I finally snapped and declared, “If I can’t go to the circus, well, in fact, I’ll bring the circus to me!” (Side note: still to this very day I have only been to the circus once. It’s more about having the feeling that I could go to a circus if I wanted to, rather than the feeling of being barred from a yearly ritual. After all, circuses are generally banal and raise many animal treatment issues. Again, it’s the romanticized circus I like. The Idea of Circus.) So I decided to acquire some circus peanuts, having never actually tried them before.
“So, from where did circus peanuts first appear, even?” you ask. Well, it appears no one knows. They are believed to have come onto the confectionary colosseum sometime in the 1800s, making them one of the oldest continuously produced candies. Well, I shouldn’t say continuously produced, as they originally were a seasonal treat before better packaging techniques were invented! Thank you, science! :) My best guess is that they originated as an ersatz peanut product, similar to how the hazelnut was used as a filler with which to cut chocolate products during a cocoa scarcity in Italy during WWII. (More talk about hazelnut spreads below!) Whatever the case, this homemade recipe is on scale! :) Okay, so back to business.
Acquiring circus peanuts in quarantine was a bit harder than expected. Every store I visited was sold out: Fleet Farm, Walgreens, Kwik Trip—all out! Alas, toilet paper wasn’t the only thing people were snatching up! Curse you, omnivores! (Side note: lest we forget this pandemic would have never happened had the world been vegan. I don’t think it’s wrong of me to suggest that everyone who consumes animal products from factory farms should have to pay the unemployed vegans an extra $600 a month. Why should I, a humble plant eater, pay for the mess of the omnivores yet again? Stop eating meat, y’all! Factually stated, 41% of all land in the United States is used for livestock! What a fuckin’ waste! And excusez mon français!)
So instead of continuing on a wild goose chase to find these golden eggs, I decided to take a radical approach and make my own circus peanuts. (Plus, I found out after Googling around that circus peanuts aren’t even vegan! For shame!) This is where things start to get a little tricky. You see, I’m a bit of a health nut. Well, maybe a little more than a bit of one... I may be a full-on health peanut! Peanuts like me would never eat something so processed anyway... But who’s to say I can’t have a taste of the circus in a healthy, vegan way? Why not make homemade circus peanut peanut butter? And better yet, why not use duckweed as a base instead of circus peanuts? You get all the goodness of the circus but in a spreadable way with all the health benefits of the most nutrient dense plant known to humanity. For yumzeez! :)
World’s healthiest food
For those who only know duckweed from smelly retention ponds, duckweed (also known as water lentils) is actually a great food for humans. It has more protein than soy, has many antioxidants, and is a natural source of B12. Get this, the bacteria that make B12 grow in a symbiotic relationship with the plant! Question: How neat is that? Answer: That’s pretty neat! And by the way, omnis, B12 comes from bacteria in the dirt that vegan animals eat. Given that most cows and chickens eat feed that’s been washed, these animals too have to be given vitamins—the meat you eat is trash :)
So I finnicked for a long time to get the duckweed circus peanut peanut butter spread consistency right (we’ll save that process for a different post!), bought some peanut-shaped molds from eBay, found some food coloring in the back of the cabinet, and I was off to the races! Err, Circus! I had done it! I had made circus peanut peanut butter! Granted, it tasted more like an artificially flavored banana salad than candy, but it’s the thought that counts!
So… days go by and I get tested and find out I don’t have the coronavirus. Yipee! Time to see my folks! ...But I couldn’t serve that to my family. They’d think I’d lost my marbles! So instead, I came up with a more palatable, albeit less healthy, option. Instead of duckweed, I would use Trader Joe’s brand vegan marshmallows, dye them to the proper color, and mold them in shape. Then I could serve my folks organic, gluten free, non-GMO circus peanuts, or I could blend them to make totally delicious circus peanut peanut butter. Then maybe make a circus-y themed fluffernutter? Mmmmm!
And there’s even an option for the omnis among us: get real circus peanuts and follow the same procedure. (Just know if you do that, the gelatin you’ll be consuming will be from the bones, skin, and hooves of dozens of different cows or pigs.) For simplicity’s sake and also because I am collaborating with an omni for this post, we ended up going with regular circus peanuts. She had already purchased the circus peanuts before I could alert her that it had to be vegan. My bad! :^O “’Tis better to use the food you have than to let it go to waste.” Plus, they were Spangler brand, the classic choice for circus peanuts!
Aforementioned, I called in the big guns: food stylist, chef, event planner, and artist, Kendal Kulley. Check her out on Instagram! She assisted me as we made her favorite sandwich with the addition of my favorite ingredient: the Circus Peanut Peanut Butter and Pudding and Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich! First, take lightly toasted Whole Wheat bread (100% whole wheat works best). Then, slather a thick layer of homemade circus peanut peanut butter followed by a smathering of lemon pudding (Snack pack brand is my favorite, lemon is her favorite flavor (within the Snack pack brand family)). Next, add a sprinkling of hemp hearts for a bit of protein and roughage—not to mention polyunsaturated fats!
After that, Kendal likes to add a squidge of chocolate flavored peanut butter or hazelnut spread to thicken the whole thing up. Please note that I do not condone the use of most flavored peanut butters or products like Nutella as they often contain palm oil, a cash crop leading to rainforest deforestation. The same goes for cocoa. Instead, I propose we continue to advocate that the UN apportion monies to residents of poorer rainforested countries so they can live comfortably and keep our biggest source of oxygen intact. I’m happy pitching in a handful of dollars every year if it means I can keep breathing clean air :)
Then, simply close it up and enjoy! Buuuuuuut, if you’re feeling really ambitious like we are, you can make… wait for it… a TRIPLE DECKER! Just repeat the process over again with a third slice and add it on top! YUM. Cut it in half and there you have it! A perfect guilt-free (provided you followed the vegan duckweed version and omitted the peanut butter and used a more hearty bread) lunch item! Bon appétit!
I hope you enjoy this recipe and let me know in the comments how it turned out! It shouldn’t take any more than five minutes if doing the omni method (grrrr!) and about one hour for the healthy vegan method. It makes one jar worth and will last three to five days in the refrigerator—but it never lasts that long! Oh, and if you do end up having sandwich leftovers, it works great for a morning hash! But again, I, for one, almost never have leftovers! :)
Peace!
Peter
Omnivore version (unhealthy):
Ingredients:
1 package Spangler brand circus peanuts
4 tbsp water
If making chunky, set aside one circus peanut to mince in a food processor or with a knife. In a large bowl, add the circus peanuts and water. Microwave for two minutes on high or until the circus peanuts have expanded to twice their size. Serve immediately or add to an airtight container.
Vegan version (unhealthy):
Ingredients:
1 package Trader Joe’s brand vegan marshmallows
4 tbsp water
2 drops natural banana flavor
4 drops orange food coloring
In a large bowl, add the marshmallows and water. Microwave for two minutes on high or until the marshmallows have expanded and softened. Mix in the food coloring and natural flavor and microwave for another minute. Add to mold and set sit until at room temperature. When fully set, add to Vitamix and blend until desired peanut butter consistency is achieved. Serve immediately or add to an airtight container.
Vegan version (healthy):
Ingredients:
6 cups fresh duckweed
4 tbsp flaxseed meal.
4 drops natural banana flavor
12-18 drops orange food coloring
If making homemade duckweed, follow these instructions and skip the next step. If collecting from a pond, read on. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. In an Instant Pot or lesser pressure cooker, steam the duckweed for one minute on high pressure with the valve set to sealing. Do five minutes of natural pressure release. Blend in the Vitamix with food coloring, flaxseed meal, and banana flavor until it becomes a fine mush. Put in peanut mold. Place in the oven for 10 minutes, or until the peanuts have mostly dried out. Put back in the Vitamix and blend until you have the desired level of consistency. Serve immediately or add to an airtight container.

The Motorola RAZR is the best use of a foldable touchscreen yet
After months of leaks and reports, Motorola has finally debuted the new RAZR at an event in Los Angeles. This is a revival of the company’s original RAZR, a trendy little flip phone that took the world by storm when it came out in 2004. The new RAZR takes advantage of the legendary status of its predecessor and uses many of the same design cues and combines them with the latest smartphone technologies. For this reason, it has been one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2019.
The biggest feature of the new RAZR is undoubtably the 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED screen adorning the inside of its clamshell. The screen replaces the T9 number pad and LCD display found on the previous RAZR, and as such, the aspect ratio is 21:9. The screen itself is pretty decent, with a 2142 x 876 resolution, however it seems like Motorola had to compromise quality in the way of the screen’s folding function. Right below the screen is a pretty big chin, similar to the previous RAZR, containing a fingerprint sensor/button for opening the clamshell itself. There is a sizeable bezel surrounding the screen with a notch at the top holding a speaker and proximity sensor.
The outside of the phone is just as exciting as the inside. On the front of it, there is a 16 MP main camera, along with a second 2.7-inch OLED display for taking selfies or quick interactions. The back of the device is covered in a grippy material with the Motorola logo in the middle and the RAZR moniker emblazoned below it. The hinge lies in between these two outside panels, allowing the phone to fold up into a tiny form factor. Motorola has spent a lot of time on the hinge mechanism, making sure their phone doesn’t have the same creasing problems as the other foldable phones like the Samsung’s Galaxy Fold.
Overall, it seems like Motorola has built a great smartphone. By leveraging its previous popularity and cutting-edge modern design, it has produced a very desirable piece of mobile hardware. According to professional reviews, the fit and finish on the RAZR is also superb. As with anything of this level of quality and ingenuity, not to mention the nostalgic sentiments attached with the design, the new RAZR will come with a hefty price tag of $1500 when it is available next month.

The earphone have AptX and AAC codecs to reduces the level of compression in audio files and can comfortably deliver CD-quality audio.
It has a 5-hour battery life in one charge, comes with a custom magnetic dock for charging, and can be used for all purposes – be it listening to music at home or while working out in the gym, running outside or while walking on a beach.

They are sweat-resistant and have a well-crafted mix of aluminum, rubber, and plastic elements that gives it a good quality feel. The E8s comes with 4 sizes of silicone eat tips and provide superb noise isolation. The earbuds are magnetic, held in a small leather clamshell-style that can be carried around in a pocket. It uses a MicroUSB to charge it up and has a braided cord that hangs off the case.
The case of these B&O wireless headphones provides two additional charges on top of the E8s’ usual four-hour running time for a total of 12 hours. Three tiny LEDs on the case indicate battery life and works on tap based gestures to control music or trigger Transparency mode for letting in outside noise while walking on the street and other occasion as per need. The E8s turn on immediately when removed from their case. Pairing is east and B&O Play’s lets you customize EQ settings and save them as personalized customizations. Each earbud has a 5.7mm dynamic driver that produces balanced audio that is lively and warm with a wide soundstage. There is no noticeable audio delay when watching videos on phone or PC and even though the E8s connect to your phone over Bluetooth, the connection between the buds is handled by a technology called Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI), which contributes to the lack of delay. Overall a good piece of tech that you would want to get your hands on at the earliest.

The B&O Beoplay H8i has awesome sound with more neutral and balanced sound for a variety of songs. The treble levels could be a bit higher but the B&O app allows you to adjust the sound settings with an equalizer. In terms of battery life, the H8i comes has a 30-hour rating with noise cancelling activated and that can go as high as 45 hours with ANC turned off. Transparency mode works quite well and allows you to pause audio and listen to surrounding noise when needed and resumes audio when switched off. 2020 Volkswagen Arteon - Review Specs, Release Date
New Post has been published on https://www.carsreviewupdates.com/2020-volkswagen-arteon-review-specs-release-date/
2020 Volkswagen Arteon - Review Specs, Release Date
2020 Volkswagen Arteon – Review Specs, Release Date – The German automaker encounters an uphill go up with all the new product. The 2020 Volkswagen Arteon enters the marketplace in an inauspicious time for traveler automobiles, which can be battling mightily as People in America click up crossovers, sport activity-energy autos, and pickup trucks. But Volkswagen thinks the vehicle’s coupe-like design, safety features, and peppy powertrain will interest consumers who aren’t ready to give up on automobiles. Presently available for sale in European countries, the vehicle was established to produce its Northern Us first appearance at the Chicago auto demonstrate Thursday. To make certain, the mid-dimensions portion retains several stalwarts, including the newly designed Toyota Camry, that is growing. So accomplishment may be experienced. But right after VW’s impression was tarnished in a global emissions scandal that brought on the company to abandon diesel engines within the USA, the car maker has an even tougher path to traveling mainly because it wants to get back customers who moved somewhere else. “The Arteon is Volkswagen’s manufacturer shaper,” Volkswagen North America Chief executive officer Hinrich Woebcken stated within a declaration. “This car may be the spiritual successor to the CC, however, it is bolder and more quickly. Arteon has the character and performance of the luxury Gran Turismo for around the price of any completely packed midsize sedan.”
2020 Volkswagen Arteon Review
Volkswagen seems to be optimistic that the substantial set of offered characteristics-like adaptive cruise trip manage and lane-keeping aid-will rationalize the Arteon’s sticker, even though it is improbable the front lights that utilize Gps navigation details to straight their beams around corners will be provided in the Claims. The company’s new 8.0″ infotainment display is available regular, along with its additional Digital Cockpit, a concept borrowed from Audi that switches the key gauges using a big TFT display, is undoubtedly an alternative. This sort of gear is getting to be a common problem on cars a good full school listed below middle-dimension, which poses a developing problem for would-be “premium” companies seeking to wedge items above the bulk industry and under luxury purveyors, even while brands like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz drive downmarket. Although VW authorities posit that the new Arteon is targeted at poaching clients in the final two, the veracity of the U.S. market would indicate otherwise.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
The Arteon’s finest encounter is pretty literally that: a coupe-like mug that appears just as if it could possibly sophistication a whole new Scirocco as opposed to a largish sedan to sit higher than the Passat in VW’s collection. The Arteon’s hood is extremely low for this type of car, growing to simply underneath the waist due to its projected regular purchaser, a 53-season-old school-knowledgeable person, as outlined by VW. And it is really a clamshell hood, stretching out mainly because it does from a single aspect of your 73.7-inch-wide car towards the other. The remainder of the Arteon’s several-entrance “coupe” style eschews the sleek appearance of your aged CC for any difficult, fastback design with excess fat haunches plus a quasi Kamm-tail hatchback. Therefore the Arteon has a remarkable stage above both CC and the Passat, not just in styling but in size. The wheelbase is extended to 111.7 “, more than an in. longer than the Passat’s and 5 ” more than the CC’s. This enables to get a rear chair that is exceptionally roomy, as long as you might have no plans to make use of the middle place. Leg- and elbowroom are plentiful, and taller passengers will be able to trip within the again without bumping against the headliner. Interior accouterments are exactly like those in the brand new Atlas, rich in-quality resources along with a useful if conservative, design that appears good while stopping lacking treading into Audi’s deluxe territory.
2020 Volkswagen Arteon Engine Specs
The 2020 Volkswagen Arteon that may be believed to be the main one to grace the shores of the US will have a 276-HP TSI turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4-cylinder engine with primary and port gas injection as well as a two-point control device-elevate program, and also adjustable device timing on exhaust and inlet cams; producing 258 lb-feet of torque. This order most likely is mated to a six-pace two-clutch system transmission together with the VW 4Motion multi-clutch system plate all-wheel push system. Volkswagen Active Chassis Management will allow motorists select the driving a car setting they really want in Comfort and ease, Standard, and Activity, on the top of more choices they could enter via the infotainment method.
2020 Volkswagen Arteon Release Date and Price
We won’t know formal rates until even closer the 2020 Volkswagen Arteon’s on-sale date within the 3rd quarter of 2019, but VW said to expect a starting price someplace in close proximity to the expense of an entirely packed middle of the the-dimension sedan. That means it must pick up close to where the Passat tops out, inside the $35,000-$36,000 collections, by using a packed Arteon SEL Top quality probable cresting the $42,000 label.
