Today, seven years after the premiere of the first two episodes of Class, we begin the Ongoing journey again!

Over the next few months, we will be regularly re-releasing each Class: Ongoing installment so far, as we prepare to finally continue our story.

Each main episode will release fortnightly on Sundays, with our side stories being posted in the alternating weeks, each on the anniversary of the release of episodes of the original series.

Along with providing a chance to catch up on the story so far, for readers both new and old, each main episode has also been updated as a new edition (check out that tweaked cover art, with fancy new DW logo and adjusted colour grading!), fixing some small errors we missed while editing the first time round, as well as making a few other updates.

Expect also to see some new content, with a new multipart side story arc beginning next week!

I spend too much time thinking about how the Doctor Who spin-off Class deserved more love than it got in 2016.

Whenever I think of the McDonald's employee who snitched on Luigi Mangione I can't help but wonder how many people did identify him during the week or so he was on the run. Those who, going about their day, saw this dude wearing a beanie and a mask and thought "hey, wouldn't it be funny if he was that shooter guy". Then they caught a better look at his face and realize "damn he does kinda look like him".

I imagine them thinking about those $50.000. Perhaps they even felt tempted for a moment. Perhaps they thought about their own debt to the healthcare industry. Perhaps they thought about clearing their own or a loved ones loans.

Yet they did not. They decided that, wether this guy did or didn't shoot that CEO, what happened the other day in New York matters. It matters so, so much, either in the short or the long run. That it could be the first step towards something big. Maybe that something, just maybe, is change.

And then they kept their mouth shut and continued with their afternoon as if nothing ever happened.

To those people, I wish you nothing but the best. You did what you had to do. And that says a lot about you.

In short, I refuse to believe class consciousness is dead. But guess I'm a romantic like that.

Ok but why was class actually good? I feel like I only heard bad/meh things about it before but the characters were surprisingly well written and the episode quality was pretty consistently good. The effects were good. Quill was fucking cool I love her and my only real criticism is that it jumps from multiple episodes about grief to suddenly plot and the shadowkin april stuff just was not interesting to me. Like the ending was all shadowkin stuff and it felt so sudden and weird. Also they kept killing the kids parents and various people in front of them gruesomely. Like those flower things that eat people?? And the dragon?? So many people being skinned alive my gosh. Please get them in therapy. Specifically ram and Tanya. Anyways, it was weird as hell but it was fun. Also I want to know what was going on with the weeping angel cult thing at the end??? Tardis wiki says something about an angel civil war?!$/?/8:!, need please

One ironic thing I noticed actually, while giffing The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did:

Remember how Quill questions the Governors keeping Ballon prisoner?

QUILL: The Governors keep alien prisoners? Does UNIT know about this?

Well, Quill, turns out they might not object to it as much as you think!

If there was ever anything that better showed the decline in the "science leads" mission of Kate's UNIT.

In her / UNIT's defence, the Shreek is clearly something more animalistic than a sentient prisoner like Ballon, so keeping it alive and secure could debatably be seen as a mercy considering how a dangerous animal might be treated in real life, but still... that is a lot of cells to contain nothing but alien wildlife...

Christmas brings a brief escape from Coal Hill’s usual problems. Although it has its own challenges, like terrible year seven choirs, gift buying and burnt baking.

Merry Christmas! With our re-run schedule now complete, it's time for some new stories!
