OK about that scene with Kreese in the therapists office where different people show up in Kreese's eyes like his girlfriend, his drill instructor, Johnny. I can't stop thinking about how that could've been the craziest character development of all time (in cobra kai standards Johnny's development is still THE best) but it immediately got swept away in the scene right after.
Like I know the writers wanted an out if they ever got another season so Kreese can be the big bad again. But like imagine???? It makes me wonder why they even added that scene in, if not to only enforce the idea that Kreese will never change, he's in it too deep to actually ever change.
Then Kreese saying that Johnny was his best student even back when he was young is insane actually, he saw Johnny as a son and actually shed a tear???!! I almost lost my mind at the thought that we'd get a Kreese redemption arc, but I feel like that therapist scene was super interesting to get a look into Kreese's mind.
I don't want to be redundant about what's already been said about Kreese and Johnny's toxic relationship but I do want to say, and spoilers for this, when Johnny and Daniel visit Kreese in jail and trick him into giving them info about Silver with a paper that says, "NO MERCY MOTHERFUCKER!!" Guys I shed a tear, how do y'all think Johnny felt having to sit across his abuser, his father figure. And then see his face fall by getting duped.
UGHHH it's too good. Anyways I just woke up and wanted to talk about this idek if this was a good "analysis(???)"

I am a simple girl. I see a Johnny and Tory parallel edit I click on the like button, simple as that.
Seriously though, the parallels between those two make me feral. Especially when Johnny tells Daniel that Tory was working through her mother's death by fighting, and he knew because he was the same way when his mother died. I—speechless, I love them so much!!

it's always so fascinating watching shows where the writers/showrunners have written themselves into a corner vis a vis tone, so the majority of the story will be "semi-lighthearted melodrama with some moments of deeper emotional or more intense brushstrokes" and then there will be one character who's Going Through The Horrors of a completely different incredibly tragic narrative

It's not that I don't like straight ships. It's that I don't like specific tropes or specific characters with certain personalities I don't like paired together. If I hated straight ships because they're straight then I wouldn't like some of them.
