Corruption of humanity chp 1
((Alright so ya boy is working on a new Hazbin au this au is going to be dark but i hope you like it))
Emily was a woman of science, she loved to take things apart and see how they worked. She loved to people-watch, observe their behaviors, and mannerisms and study how they operate based on certain factors. She loved people in general and what makes people human has always been her biggest question.
She had just graduated college and was desperately looking for a job when she saw an advertisement for a multiscience research facility. There wasn’t much information she could find about it but she figured it was due to it being so new that hadn’t released much to the field yet. She gave the center a call, and to her surprise, they didn’t ask much and they said the starting pay would be $25 an hour! It was a lot better than most minimum wage jobs that were only offering $12 an hour. She would be starting at the end of the week.
When the day came she was a little nervous, of course, she’d be nervous this was her first job and she didn’t know what to expect. Upon arrival she noticed this facility didn’t exactly look new, it had been renovated but it surely wasn’t new. She walked inside and it was at first like a giant hospital, there was a front desk with many computers around it. Behind it was a metal fence gating off a hallway with a sign that said “employees only”. Emily continued to look around where she could and decided to call out to see if maybe she had come on a wrong day.
“Hello! Anyone here?” She repeated this twice until footsteps clicked clacked towards her. In the blinking lighting of the main halls behind the gate, a tall feminine figure approached. She unlocked the gate letting it lock behind her as she came over.
“Are you Emiliana?” The woman asked, she dawned a white lab coat, beige top, and black pencil skirt with a stethoscope around her neck and a badge.
“Yes I am, but you can call me Emily.” Emily extended her hand out shaking it with the woman’s, she promptly turned around and told her to follow quickly. Emily nodded and followed close behind her they were going back the way the woman had come.
“I am Doctor Sera, the lead doctor of this facility. I oversee that this place runs smoothly. Currently, it is just you and I for the weekend, your other coworkers will be in the rest of the week though.” Sera spoke fast thankfully due to all the college lectures, Emily was used to it.
“Are you familiar with advanced chemistry, basic medical or pharmaceutical sciences?” “Yes basic medical and chem, not so much pharmacy” Emily answered as she turned down the hall, Sera nod curtly nodded and said.
“That is fine, you will learn the longer you work here. Things are quite simple here.” She brought Emily into a room and handed her a uniform, it was a set of beige scrubs.
“Change into these” Once she had changed into her clothes she was given a locker and her job was explained to her.
“This facility researches and….takes care of inhuman creatures that can not be released into the public for fear of them causing harm. You are going to be doing basic check-ups on any creatures you are assigned to.” Creatures woah! Emily wondered what these creatures were if they weren’t allowed to be released.
“These creatures are dangerous and possess a multitude of powers and abilities. We have to keep most in a weakened state for our safety and the public, but it doesn’t harm them. They’re just not exactly fond of our methods. For now, you will be in charge of two patients.” Sera pulled out two files and handed them to Emily.
“Patient 413, isn’t combative but is easily excitable and curious of newcomers. She’s one of our easier patients, you just have to make sure she hasn’t taken anything from you before you leave her room as she has a habit of taking things out of curiosity.” The file picture showed a girl with white skin, rosy cheeks long blond hair, red eyes, and what looked like a demon’s tail. Looking further she saw ‘abilities’ “Transformative: patient can change between human, a mildly demonic form, and a completely demonic form. Light pyrokinesis: can't create fireworks”
“I will take you to her first” Leaving the staff room they strolled down another hall. The halls were white or well-off-white as if this building had truly been here for centuries only getting a new paint job every couple hundred. There were cracks and dents in the walls too! They entered a hallway that had many doors made of some sort of dark colored glass and beside it a window of the same sort of glass. They walked down a couple of doors before stopping at one.
“Here she is, she’ll tell you her name is Charlie, I’ll be close by in case you need me,” Sera informed before unlocking the door with a lanyard badge. Emily took a deep breath and cautiously stepped inside. As soon as the door opened a pair of big red beady eyes stared at her. She stopped halfway inside before Emily noticed this wasn’t a look of hostility but curiosity. A blanket had been pulled over the girl’s head securely only letting her eyes show through.
“Hi, you must be Charlie, my name is Emily, and I’m going to be working with you,” Emily said softly, the eyes tilted, and looked her up and down. It almost felt like she was being sized up to be someone’s meal but, Emily could see she only observing.
“Em…mi…ly…Emily” The being repeated, Emily smiled and nodded. Slowly the blanket fell off the top of her head revealing the girl she saw in the file. Long waist-length blond hair, big red eyes, rosy cheeks, white skin, and a demon tail. She also had some almost human-like features. Her nose and hands look close to humans, there were no horns or wings on her back. Emily looked down at the file and saw that Charlie was a Nephilim, which meant she was a human and angel hybrid. Maybe this is what angels looked like, not that she’d know that information, she’d never met one!
“You have pretty eyes” Charlie commented, Emily giggled at this not expecting it but appreciating it.
“Thank you, yours are pretty too!” Charlie grinned happily showing off a double set of fangs.
Emily didn’t stay long, not that she wanted to, she just didn’t know what else to do. She did have another patient to see anyway. Leaving the room Sera handed Emily another file.
“And this is your other patient 436, Adam- one of our other employees- named her Vaggie. She can be a bit hostile and guarded though most of the patients here are. Just get on her good side and you should have nothing to worry about.” Looking through the file the picture contained a woman with mid-grey skin, a strange almost golden eye color, and long cool greyish-purple hair. The file described ‘Vaggie’ as short-tempered, combative, and mildly violent.
“Abilities: None”
Making it to the room Sera unlocked the door, as soon as Emily stepped inside Vaggie looked at her. Unlike Charlie, Vaggie is hostile and seems unhappy to see Emily. Emily swallowed nervously as Vaggie sat on one knee the other drawn to her chest on the edge of the bed. Emily knew at any second Vaggie could lunge at her from that position with ease!
“H-hi, I’m Emily, I’m the new one here. Just-just checking in for now.” Vaggie huffed and remained unmoving like she was trying to stare hard enough to burn a hole in Emily’s soul. Emily took this as the sign to leave and headed for the door.
“Well that could have gone worse I guess, didn’t get hurt or anything,” Emily muttered through awkward chuckles. Most of her day was being guided around certain floors, and being shown different rooms. There were 5 levels for the specimen floor. Level 1 is the mostly docile minimally combative type with low-level powers or none at all. Level 2 was filled with slightly less docile, mildly unpredictable beings like fae, merfolk, or nymphs. 3: was filled with eldritch horrors, sirens, the type you would genuinely need to watch your back with. Level 4 contained highly unstable beings who had powers that could affect you just by being near them and could seriously mess with your sanity if not careful. And then level 5, this level held those in isolation. Sera did not say much about Level 5 but Emily got the hit it was a level she wouldn’t be assigned all that quickly. Which was fine she was just starting out anyway!
The rest of the day she was just tasked with security work, doing vitals every few hours and dropping off food.

The great philosopher, Aristotle, once said, “What we have to learn to do, we learn by doing”. This quote has become the motto of many people especially those involved in Education. Although most people have been raised to learn things by listening to a teacher’s lecture, observing others or doing pencil and paper tasks to record learning, experiencing learning first-hand is still the best learning approach. This way, the individual is fully engaged in something that he might otherwise just read about or watch someone else doing. However, in most situations, people are just asked to “watch and learn” and be expected to automatically imbibe what is being taught. Somehow, for most people, this is not enough, especially for those in jobs that would require actual practice before they apply what they have learned. Nursing is one example of a career that would need much practical experience before implementation as a career. Since nurses are entrusted with the lives of their patients, having no clue as to what to do with them in actual practice, no matter if they are just new in their profession, is no excuse. It would be a risky and unprofessional thing to do. Lacking practical experience, nursing students cannot just rely on their theoretical knowledge gained from school. New Training Technique One new development in nursing education is the use of clinical simulation. This is a teaching methodology that provides students with learning experiences closely resembling real-life circumstances that they are likely to encounter in their professional practice. “Simulated clinical experience requires immersing students in a representative patient-care scenario, a setting that mimics the actual environment with sufficient realism to allow learners to suspend disbelief” (Waxsman:29). Faced with a simulated environment, they gain familiarity with situations that they will most probably encounter in their future profession. They get to see the real equipment to be used, the set up in a clinical environment, and get an idea of how it feels like to be in a clinic, hospital room or operating room. In this method, student nurses get the opportunity to use a lifelike high-fidelity manikin which is interactive and realistic (Jeffries: 56). Different scenarios that nurses are likely to encounter with their patients are played out during simulation sessions that would summon their skills and knowledge. The manikin would serve as a sample patient that the nurses can attend to depending on the symptoms presented. High and low-fidelity manikins as well as skill and task trainers, virtual reality trainers, computer-based simulators and scenarios and even standardized patients comprise the simulation education package (Jeffries: 60). In clinical simulation, they get exposed to various scenarios and are supposed to apply what they have learned in a safe and controlled environment that will not risk the safety and life of any patient. This is very much different from the traditional teaching methods that nursing students have been accustomed to such as lectures, discussions, role-play and laboratory practice, as these may no longer be effective (Waxman:30). What is currently being promoted in education is the adherence to constructivist pedagogical approaches wherein more active, experiential learning strategies reflect real world practices. Parker & Myrick (42) contend that clinical simulation has constructivist pedagogical underpinnings fostering interpretive, generative learning which is suited to the promotion of transformative learning. Radiology is at the heart of modern healthcare. Almost everyone goes to the hospital at least once in a lifetime, and regardless of reason, the chances are that they will be acquainted with a radiographer who needs to produce an accurate image of the area of the body in question, which is an indispensable part of issuing a correct diagnosis, or provide therapy by radiation. In fact, 6 out of 10 patients who undergo radiotherapy treatment for some form of cancer are cured (the Society of Radiographers). A radiographer is a vital part of a medical team, usually involved in every stage of the patient's treatment, starting with pre-treatment preparation, planning, therapeutic delivery of radiation, and follow-up. There are three instances where a radiographer is needed, namely for a stationary radiography taken in their department, for inter-operative imaging in the operation room, or for mobile radiography performed in the immobilized patients' ward (Queensland Health, 2010). Specific duties may vary, but generally include medical imaging, updating patients' charts, and maintenance of radiology laboratory equipment. Producing images may occur by means of X-ray, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound or angiography. Once the images are obtained, a radiographer is responsible for developing the film or processing the digital images, as well as storing them correctly. However, radiographers don't simply operate imaging devices. They are responsible for answering to every member of the healthcare team's request of radiographs and then decide which method of radiography is the most appropriate for each case. Besides that, they calculate details pertaining to imaging procedures, such as the exact length and intensity of exposure to radiation and other settings of recording equipment. Also, they talk to the patients before the procedure in order to set their minds at rest and explain each step of the process, then position the patient's body accordingly and, of course, make sure that the radiation levels are safe. The ultimate goal here is to capture the best possible image, so that the patient's medical status can be quantified, and the risk of misdiagnosis minimized. In this sense, didactic educational experience and its clinical counterpart are, to my mind, two surprisingly different venues. Whereas the former offers a necessary, in-depth exploration of theory, it is the practice that validates or refutes theory. What is more, practice models and brings new perspectives into theory, as well. Thus, I tend to perceive the correlation between the two precepts as fundamentally interdependent, because the lack of balanced advancement in radiology could entail serious damage to professional standards. Radiographers function as part of a team comprised of multidisciplinary health professionals, working closely with nurses, surgical technologists, radiologists and physicians. At the request of a medical doctor, a radiographer receives a case, together with deciding on the patient's best alternative of medical imaging. Once the image is procured, the radiologist sets the diagnostic. In addition, a surgical technologist assists radiographers in conducting inter-operative imaging. Finally, a radiology nurse would help provide patient care during radiological investigations or procedures by using their skills to identify and meet a patient's individual needs. In my view, a professional medical team member is essentially empathetic. Given that the healthcare sector is the only working space that concerns itself exclusively with human well-being, it is of paramount importance that all medical staff be receptive to each patient's individual needs. Failing that, the risk of malpractice increases and, most notably, serious harm can come to a human being who was there to seek help in the first place. Therefore, acting on the Hippocratic Oath means more than doing your own part of the job right; it means that a proper level of interaction with the patient, his/her family and also with the other staff members is crucial. Another significant requirement that I personally consider mandatory for medical caretakers at any level is the passion for medical science combined with a genuine wish to help people out of their worst predicaments. Without passion and nurturing instinct, practice of any form of medicine cannot be successfully conducted. A professional is, after all, an expert, and thus ought to be dedicated to his area of expertise together with presenting fine attunement to the medical needs of every patient. The position of a professional radiographer would allow me to expand on my innate caring nature. Nothing can ever match the feeling of knowing that you made a difference for the better in another person's life. Moreover, I love to observe the things that other people have failed to notice, which could translate itself as a keen attention to detail in the radiology laboratory. Apart from that, I simply love to be around people, to see them smile and listen to what they have to say. All in all, patients have stories too, and they only want to feel understood and properly cared for, which I'd be more than happy to do. To conclude, I believe that diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers are an important component of the healthcare system, because without explicit images of what is happening inside the human body, patient treatments would be wrongfully prescribed, not as effective, or valuable time may be lost in the process. The Transformative Power of Health Technology
Introduction
Although there have been many notable developments in health technology throughout medical history, few have had the same impact and ability to alter society as digital technology fundamentally.
The use of digital technologies in healthcare has transformed the way medical professionals do their duties and expanded the range of available treatments.
The Development of Medical Technology
Although progressives debated the use of computers in medicine as early as the 1960s, the early models of computers were too expensive and unreliable for general usage in medical settings.
Policies and data standards were made to encourage healthcare businesses to use digital technology as costs dropped and technology advanced.
This extended to routine record-keeping as well as medical equipment. As a result, electronic health records (EHRs) substantially supplanted paper-based medical records through digitization.
This change significantly expedited the secure and effective access to health data, including test results and diagnoses.
Technology Integration in Healthcare
These days, it's common practice to use EHR systems and other technologies for treatment planning and patient interaction.
As prevalent in medical settings as stethoscopes are laptops and tablets, an increasing amount of research is demonstrating the benefits of electronic health records (EHRs) for health information interchange and accessibility.
However, one significant issue that EHRs provide is the amount of unstandardized and unintegrated data that accumulates.
The majority of healthcare organizations now own sizable datasets that they may use to improve their operational procedures and processes. Still, they might need more knowledge or resources to extract valuable insights from this abundance of data.
Empowering Healthcare Through New Technologies
Emerging technologies—such as blockchain, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI) based on machine learning—are helping healthcare businesses find patterns in large datasets while improving data security and manageability as a response to these difficulties.
Developments in the Medical Field
Technology-based solutions are helping executives in the healthcare industry manage costs, promote cross-system collaboration, and improve performance as it faces new challenges.
Technology is helping healthcare companies meet the increasing demands on them by automating jobs, improving workflows, and optimizing operations to a degree not possible with human labor alone.
As hospitals and health systems learn to utilize value-based health reimbursement models, this change is fundamental.
These technologies enable medical staff to improve patient experiences, raise the standard of treatment, and reduce the risk of burnout.
Benefits of Healthcare Technology
Improving Patient Experiences and Care
Through the use of technology, healthcare organizations may get a comprehensive understanding of their performance by gathering and analyzing data throughout the patient care continuum.
Continuous assessment, problem identification, and enhancement of patient experiences and care quality are made possible by the automation of measurement and analysis.
Instantaneous Information Sharing
In the past, organizations kept records that were distinct for payers, patients, and providers. Digital technology has made it easier for patient records to be standardized and stored securely, giving authorized users access to the data they seek when needed.
Flexibility for Both Clinicians and Patients
Patients have more ways to communicate with healthcare providers because of patient portals and telemedicine technologies.
Heart monitors and other wearable devices give doctors more resources to evaluate patients' health and document symptoms while they go about their everyday lives.
Clinical Decision Support
When it comes to clinical decision support and the extraction of insightful information from large databases, artificial intelligence (AI) is indispensable.
AI-enabled solutions can recognize patterns that improve patient care and assist in the creation of better treatments through the collection of vast and complicated data from electronic records, notes, photos, sensors, and gadgets.
Even though artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is still in its infancy, many applications for it can help businesses in the field.

The Social Impact of Solar Hybrid Inverters in Developing Countries
The delivery of steady electricity proves difficult for developing nations to achieve. Broad swaths of underserved and rural communities experience ongoing power interruptions while substantial sections of people in these areas exist separate from the national power system. The existing power shortages create multiple obstacles to economic growth limit student learning and medical services and reduce superior life quality for people. Solar hybrid inverters bring fundamental changes through their ability to offer both power distribution and community and economic improvement potential. The innovative technology delivers multiple benefits that transform developing nations' infrastructure.
Bridging the Energy Gap
Solar hybrid inverters transform traditional power systems by solving the challenges faced by regions dependent on unreliable grid electricity or having no power at all. Solar energy integrated with battery storage systems and linkage to grid power networks provides stable durability for electrical power supplies. These power solutions prove essential in remote locations where introducing extended national electrical infrastructure proves too costly or impossible to implement.
Now these villages can access solar power to supply all their homes as well as schools and local enterprises with electricity. Using renewable energy supplies improves living environments and creates an opportunity to develop pollution-free energy networks for the future.
Enabling Education
In rural locations, electricity access creates direct consequences for educational standards. The power grid instability does not prevent solar hybrid inverters from powering educational facilities. School classrooms benefit from utility items that include lighting and fans with electronic educational materials that improve student learning outcomes. Solar hybrid inverters eliminate the need for children to use hazardous kerosene lamps for study so their health remains safe.
When hybrid inverters power computers and internet connections developing countries achieve digital education equality because their schools receive access to contemporary educational materials. A better-educated workforce develops because of these efforts that lead to long-term regional development.
Improving Healthcare Services
Healthcare facilities located in remote areas need reliable electricity as an essential operational foundation. Solar hybrid inverters guarantee extended power availability to vital medical devices alongside vaccine refrigeration capability as well as nighttime lighting systems. Hospital operations can reallocate their financial resources because solar hybrid inverters eliminate the need for diesel generators and power facilities reliably.
The continual power supply available through hybrid inverters proves fundamental during emergencies that save lives. Healthcare personnel depend on these devices to enhance medical care delivery and improve health results for demographic groups who need better access to services.
Empowering Local Economies
Local enterprises together with small businesses experience growth as a result of electric power access. Solar hybrid inverters serve as reliable power sources for shops and workshops and farming operations so entrepreneurs can expand their business scope. Solar-powered irrigation systems allow farmers to enhance crop production by providing stable power to running irrigation systems alongside small-scale manufacturers who need uninterrupted electricity for machinery functions.
The systems spur economic enhancement which supports job creation while lessening poverty to enhance community self-sustainability. The implementation of solar hybrid inverters provides local technical personnel as well as establishment personnel more opportunities to create employment.
Environmental Benefits
Fossil fuels serve as the primary energy source for many developing nations yet these systems create worsening air quality and higher greenhouse gas concentrations. Solar hybrid inverters present sustainable power solutions that reduce community carbon emissions while advancing clean energy practices. These systems create higher indoor air quality by switching out diesel generators and kerosene lamps which results in better respiratory health benefits for families.
Challenges and Opportunities
The unparalleled advantages of solar hybrid inverters must overcome existing obstacles. The barriers toward adopting these systems include initial expensive requirements together with a lack of knowledge about functionality and benefits in low-income demographics. Solar energy adoption requires government-sponsored assistance through subsidies in combination with financial options for installation and education programs addressing economic benefits of using solar power.
Solar hybrid inverters are becoming more accessible because of both declining solar technology costs alongside innovations in pay-as-you-go business models. The technological progress demonstrates the potential for expanded utilization across regions requiring its application.

Here is where I truly question my sanity. I accept that this entire scenario is an inducing Actuality, meaning one in progress as a Storyline connecting various Ends. But what makes me wonder is how I left open a page about Sobolev space and my eyes went to it when I closed the pages on top of it - to the right is the map of focus in this ordering of pages which is to me the top of my focus - I saw the phrase ‘suitable in a weak sense’, clicked on that, which led to weak derivative. There, I skipped down to examples, saw the absolute value function, which made clear they’re using a different meaning for derivative, and that led to the sign function, which is the -1, 0, 1 progression I’ve been trying to locate in the ideas list.
That connects to the law of trichotomy, which is where we come in. We explain why the law of dividing into 3 pieces exists: it is SBE, Start-Between-End, and the law of trichotomy is an expression of that. Why does SBE exist? Because the mathematics constructs dimensional existence, meaning D-structure generates D3-4//4-3Space. All Things which have existed, which exist, which will exist are generated through D-structure’s operations. That statement is mathematical: D-structure generates all conceptions of time that can be imagined given that D3-4Space, that gsSpace for gsProcess, is continuous at an Observer scale. That Observer appears, for example, in the scale of the homogeneity of the physical universe, which is like 300 to 1000 million light years.
I feel like a fool but I’ve never thought about this material. It’s clear that we generate homogeneity and isotropy. We can show this through Actor and Observer, with the nice addition that we can move the camera and zoom through it all. Or rather, we can explain why we can make models which do this.
I was watching House last night. This one made the British roots of the show palpable: they emphasize what a nasty asshole he is, like he’s the classic British detective only concerned with the truth connected to the surfaces. House does this by becoming more of an asshole when he can’t identify the Attachment: why does he care about this? The one a few before with a dying 9 year old girl is the sort of opposite: he can’t believe she’s such a strong person. He can’t believe that exists and thinks it must be a tumor or something affecting her amygdala. So he goes in the room and tells her she has a choice of dying now or dying in the year she has left, and she tells him she loves her mother and effectively says she wants to give her mother as much time with her as she can. That made me cry. Of course she had no tumor.
They did a wonderful job giving Hugh Laurie American qualities. The monster trucks. The soap operas, which bridge the gap from Coronation Street to General Hospital. I can hear how Hugh makes his voice sound American. His process wavers enough that you can hear bits of regional accents being incorporated. I love how Americans don’t care about such pastiches. They can’t even hear them any more. When I was young, you could hear local accents quite clearly because there wasn’t much mixing around the country.
Got distracted. Imagine translating the universal homogeneity scale over CM1. As potential space, as computational potential, as the maps must invert because wow nothing would happen if they don’t. That’s really cool. I know I didn’t say it well but if the inversion is to some scale, then you’re saying that what happens on this side of the CM1 divider is not Attached to gsProcess. Or maybe here I need to say tsProcess. Did I really just type that? Seriously? That is Triangular Space Process, which is useful to use here because that’s what maps 1Space, which means Triangular and Hexagonal sheets, which translate into gsProcess where 0Space occurs. I know I’m not careful about which of those I mean but that’s because I’m trying to see and sometimes I gather it’s more like squinting in the gloaming.
I can’t even take a break without connecting stuff. An isotropic quadratic form: Observer to Actor at the 0, and the vector which relates the gsPerspectives.
I have to go out for a while.

Electronic Medical Records While history counts the inventor of paper among the hundred most influential people in the history of mankind, the services of paper have proven to be doubtful during floods, earthquakes, fires and other disasters. With the invention of digital technology and computers, the man felt that possibly anything can be stored into data base in form of text, images and even voice. The electronic medical record offers the medical professionals a solution to keep the information of a patient including his family and medical history that can be shared among several different physicians. Such a system eliminates the need to regenerate paper work again and again. The medical staff particularly and the public generally was unaware of use of computers some three decades ago. There was rarely a person in an institute who could use a PC in early 1990's. An average medical facility used to have analogous computers that would show signals in the form of bars. The database was thought to be an additional cost that was of little benefit since users were too slow to work on them. Around twenty years ago, the medical industry realized that electronic medical records will help deal with the problem of patient data loss (Haupt, 2011). They recognized that Electronic Medical Records or EMR was an efficient, safe and better system if the user is trained to work on it. It would replace the frequent need to write patient information for different purposes since the EMR will save complete medical history of the patient that would be shared among hospitals, clinics and research centers for varying medical purposes like blood test, X-ray, medicine used, and now even DNA verification. On the basis of these records, right medicine would be prescribed that does not react. Adoption of EMRs The Electronic Medical Records initially required high budgets since it was expensive to buy install and use such systems. With new competitors offering technology, the prices are much affordable today. All the stakeholders' involved were introduced with the technology. The doctors and nurses were offered awareness and usage trainings along with their staff. The patients were told how they can refer to their EMR records in different clinics and hospitals. The administration of the hospitals was a key stakeholder that was told how the benefits of EMR were more than the costs they need. Today the medical facilities consider it among one of the primary expenses to have EMR in the hospital. The American Department of Health and Human Services has been providing financial encouragements to medical administrations and facilities to use and install EMRs. Advantages of EMR The electronic medical records have some very evident and some technical and hidden advantages that open up only when the facility uses them. The surveys conducted in hospitals asking the physicians and staff to rate the EMR offered an insight to what are the advantages of system. Neal (2011) says that the healthcare providers were asked to rate the method and the results are based on their response. The Electronic Medical Records are found to be flexible and much more productive than the papers. The system is found to be more particular in billing and improves collection rate. The paper work is reduced that is always a messy job. The expenses of staff are reduced and the patient care is offered more smoothly. The coordination in system improves and data remains secure. The records can be easily referred for legal purposes too since data cannot be lost and can be tracked even if someone deletes it to find who and when entered or deleted data. The hospitals told that the most used EMRs are eClinicWorks, GE Centricity, Greenway PrimeSUITE, and many more. Every EMR software offers basically same operations. Financial Concerns Despite that the government as well as the Department of Health offers incentives for installing EMRs, there are some financial concerns that the medical facilities have with respect to EMR. Some hospitals claim that the benefits of the EMRs are far less than the money invested in the facility. They feel that the costs of training and installation are additional costs while the paperwork could easily be done by even an unskilled person. The additional cost of $120,000 is annually charges to every physician for installing the EMR. The other financial costs include hiring and training additional staff, consultation costs, between 10% to 25% loss in revenues because of workflow slowdown initially, and the money invested to comply with government reimbursement. The startup costs are very high and the maintenance is also a financial burden, hospitals have claimed. EMR and Medicine Since history, disease is considered as a human problem and not simply the personal matter of a patient. Thus, it was a need to all the times to make data of disease and ailments centralized or at least sharable. Thus the patient records should not be simply seen as records of patients but the contributing information on how to improve the health and quality of life of human beings. Clinical trials are benefitted when a vast range of data on patients and disease history is available. The patient population has many things common in their disease symptoms that can help advance the scientific research. The EMRs help conduct researches that can be faster and more efficient since data is saved with all the actual facts and dates (Aickin, 2011). Risks of EMR The Electronic Medical Records are in the evolving and improving phase and like many other solutions, EMRs also have some weaknesses. Many would find it more insecure even than the papers since almost any medical facility can see the patient information. The electronic medical records in hospitals of northern California have as much old records as 1995 and the system contains the information about around four million patients. Now, since the data is not encrypted and literally thousands of people work on it, the data can be lost in an attempt of theft. The data is only secured by passwords and several people have access to the password. The incidents can even append due to accidents if not due to the theft or invasion on system. It has happened that while using data for medical tests and trials, the data of thousands of patients was made public on websites. The incident happened to records of patients of Stanford Hospital. Patients made their way onto a public website after the data were accidentally used as part of a job skills test. The private medical data were exposed for nearly a year before officials ordered it taken down. A $20 million lawsuit was filed, but no one really knows if the valuable information was copied. Policy The state requirements for implementing a secure electronic medical records system is welcomed by many hospitals in the industry while resisted by others. There are many medical facilities that yet do not want to implement the EMR since it increases the costs and engulf revenues. Also the EMR keeps information that is required to be saved according to relevant dates and time. It makes information more reliable as well as traceable. It adds to the work done by the system but is considered an extra load by many professionals. They think that the training on EMR costs them hundreds of dollars annually and also needs extra time spent on information sharing among different facilities. While the policy is being made on how to face documentation and operative risks, the hospital administrations can offer help and feedback to the policy makers so that they know which areas need a focus and which features are simply a cost burden on the company (Leduc, Lorenzetti, Straus, Sykes, and Quan, 2011). The policy for implementing EMR can be complied by purchasing joint software that can be used by a group of small medical facilities in an area since it would be rather a huge expense if all of them purchase and maintain separate systems. Improvement The electronic health records have made it possible to enhance control and coordination over the patient data yet there are many concerns in EMR that can yet be improved. The system first needs to be more secure and protected. This can be done by either using encryption or second level verification. The encryption is somehow costly and laborious. Since there is a huge amount of data, manual encryption is not possible (Haupt, 2011). The script generated encryption can be decoded using other scripts too. Thus either a very heavy system generated encryption can be used to save the data or the user can be asked to enter finger prints or voice symbol to enter the system besides the passwords. The security is important as well as critical to patients because there are often diseases that are not related to the job of the person but if the employer gets to know about it, the employer may take some serious decisions like holding promotion or firing based on the information disclosed by the leaking in EMR system. The doctors as well as the researchers should realize how important it is to protect the patient data and not to share it with others since the outsiders might manipulate the patient information which can affect the results of medical treatments or trials. Besides security, the disease control and disease prevention can also be improved using the EMRs. The records contain history that can indicate which symbols lead to a particular disease. Thus, the population should be made aware of medical conditions that are critical and should be watched. The hospitals need to train the employees about how to use the EMR but even a step forward, the medical and nursing colleges should teach the use of system as a part of curriculum. The medical and nursing students should learn what are technical aspects, functionality and advantages of the system. While each student is asked to pass EMR tests before getting a certification or degree, it will lower the expenses of hospitals in the training perspective. Conclusion While there are huge advantages of an electronic medical record system, nothing comes free and almost everything has a price tag in the business world. Medicine industry also has to bear the cost of EMR solutions while offering better and secure solutions and services to the patients. These costs include the costs of purchasing, installation, training, maintenance and consulting. The medical facilities have however to realize that without paying these initial costs, they cannot avoid the low productivity and the need for higher workforce that will be required to the paper work for the hospital. The research should be sponsored by industry to develop much more secure EMR software that can keep patient information inherently confidential and only reasonably use it for research and survey purposes without disclosing patient identity or making data public. What Does Electrician Insurance Cover?
Tumblr media
Electricians face unique risks every day, from accidental injuries on the job to damage caused to a client’s property. That’s where Electrician Insurance becomes essential. This specialized coverage is designed to protect electricians and their businesses from financial losses stemming from various liabilities. Understanding what this type of insurance covers can help you ensure your work is safeguarded and give you peace of mind as you focus on your projects.
General Liability Coverage
One of the core components of electrician insurance is general liability coverage. This protects against third-party claims of bodily injury or property damage. For example:
Bodily Injury: If a client or visitor trips over your tools and gets injured, this coverage can handle medical costs and legal fees if they decide to sue.
Property Damage: If you accidentally damage a client’s property, such as breaking a window or damaging their walls while running electrical wires, this insurance can cover repair or replacement costs.
General liability is fundamental to any electrician’s policy, offering protection against common risks associated with working in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Professional Liability Insurance
Also known as errors and omissions insurance, professional liability coverage protects electricians from claims of negligence, errors, or failures to perform professional duties. For instance:
If a client claims that your faulty wiring caused a fire or damaged appliances, this coverage can protect you from lawsuits and associated costs.
It also helps cover legal defense costs if you’re accused of not completing a job to standard specifications or failing to meet contractual obligations.
Workers' Compensation Insurance
If you have employees, workers’ compensation insurance is typically required by law. This coverage provides benefits to employees who suffer work-related injuries or illnesses. It includes:
Medical Expenses: Coverage for hospital visits, treatments, and rehabilitation.
Lost Wages: Compensation for employees who cannot work due to their injuries.
Disability Benefits: Payments for temporary or permanent disabilities resulting from a workplace injury.
Employer Liability: Protection against lawsuits filed by employees regarding workplace injuries.
Even for solo electricians, considering similar coverage for yourself can provide an additional layer of protection.
Tools and Equipment Coverage
Electricians rely heavily on specialized tools and equipment. Tools and equipment insurance can protect against theft, loss, or damage to your essential gear. For example:
If your tools are stolen from a job site or damaged in transit, this policy can help cover the cost of replacements or repairs.
Coverage often includes expensive equipment like voltage testers, ladders, and power drills. For more info Click Here.
This type of protection is especially valuable for electricians who work in multiple locations and frequently transport their tools.
Commercial Property Insurance
If you own or lease a physical office, warehouse, or workshop, commercial property insurance can protect your business space and its contents. Coverage typically includes:
Building Protection: Repairs or reconstruction due to damage caused by fire, storms, or vandalism.
Contents Coverage: Protection for furniture, computers, and other business assets within the building.
This insurance ensures that your operations can recover quickly in the event of a disaster or unforeseen event.
Business Auto Insurance
Electricians often rely on vehicles to transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites. Business auto insurance is essential if you use a vehicle for work purposes. It covers:
Collision Coverage: Repairs for your vehicle after an accident.
Liability Coverage: Costs associated with third-party injuries or property damage resulting from an accident.
Comprehensive Coverage: Protection against non-collision-related events, such as theft or weather damage.
Personal auto insurance usually doesn’t cover vehicles used for business purposes, so it’s important to have a commercial policy.
Cyber Liability Insurance
As more electricians use digital tools for billing, scheduling, and client communication, cyber liability insurance is becoming increasingly relevant. This coverage protects against data breaches, cyberattacks, and other online threats.
For example:
If your client data is compromised in a cyberattack, this policy can help cover notification costs, legal expenses, and recovery efforts.
Umbrella Insurance
An umbrella policy provides additional coverage beyond the limits of your standard policies. This is especially useful if you face a significant claim that exceeds your general liability or auto policy limits. Umbrella insurance acts as a safety net, protecting your business from catastrophic financial losses.
Why Electrician Insurance is Essential
The electrical trade comes with inherent risks, from handling live wires to working in hazardous environments. A single accident or oversight can result in costly claims, making insurance a vital part of your business strategy. By investing in comprehensive coverage, you’re not only protecting your financial future but also demonstrating professionalism and responsibility to your clients.
When choosing an electrician insurance policy, consider the unique risks you face, the size of your business, and your budget. Comparing quotes from reputable insurers and consulting with an insurance advisor can help you build a policy that meets your needs. With the right coverage in place, you can focus on your work with confidence, knowing your business is protected from potential liabilities.

Is AI Making Jobs Harder? Not for Hourly Workers
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/is-ai-making-jobs-harder-not-for-hourly-workers/
Is AI Making Jobs Harder? Not for Hourly Workers
Has AI forever changed the way we work? That depends on which “AI” you’re talking about.
Artificial Intelligence describes a wide set of computing technologies that perform various functions. It’s not uncommon to have multiple types of AI in use within the same workplace – or even within the same software program – to optimize task automation and improve productivity.
Most of the recent conversation around AI in the workplace refers to Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), a special type of AI that generates an output, typically an image or text, based on learned potential.
Already, GenAI is reshaping the way employees engage with technology (and one another), making leaders eager to implement AI wherever possible. However, there are conflicting accounts of GenAI’s current impact on productivity. A recent study from freelancing platform Upwork found that 77% of employees say AI tools have only added to their workload, despite enthusiasm from their company leadership. Meanwhile, another study from Section AI reported that 87% of workers who use AI daily save as much as 12 hours per week.
If one group of employees can undoubtedly benefit from AI, it’s those in the hourly workforce. Employees in labor-intensive industries like retail and hospitality need to maximize time with customers and coworkers. But, as new research from Legion shows, these workers are bogged down by administrative tasks, and it’s creating deep dissatisfaction with their jobs – so deep that 50% of hourly employees plan to leave their jobs within the next year.
AI has the ability to greatly reduce the burden of tedious tasks in the hourly workplace. It can also accelerate new hire training, which is exceedingly valuable in labor-intensive sectors where turnover is high. Acting as a virtual coach, GenAI assistants can guide employees with suggested actions and help them access important information.
By boosting productivity and job satisfaction, AI stands to help, not hinder, the hourly workforce. But only if AI tools are implemented strategically.
AI and the Hourly Labor Shortage
The labor market may be cooling overall, but the demand for hourly labor remains high, as these jobs tend to lag behind other employment types, such as salaried or gig work, in terms of employee experience. As noted in the Legion data, only half of hourly workers believe their employers care about creating a good job experience for them.
Flexibility is top of mind for hourly workers in search of their next job. They want to easily swap and pick up shifts, and they want the ability to work across different times and locations. Fortunately, having AI in a workforce management (WFM) system can enable this flexibility in several key ways.
To begin, Workforce Management (WFM) with AI at its core leverages machine learning to accurately predict the labor required for specific shifts. This improves labor efficiency, helping to prevent both overstaffing and understaffing. Accurate labor predictions save companies money and, in the case of understaffing, help reduce employee stress. When employees start their shift knowing they will have the right resources and personnel on-hand to meet the forecasted demand, they can focus on delivering a great experience for customers.
A WFM that uses AI can also give employees more direct input into their schedules. Employees share their schedule preferences, and the AI intelligently automates schedule creation, matching employee requests with business requirements. This way, employees don’t have to give up their flexibility, and the business can continue to operate smoothly.
Finally, GenAI is emerging as a powerful driver of flexibility, but its success depends on the thoughtful application of the right solutions to truly enable it.
GenAI as a workforce management tool must be actionable. This means that it not only generates new, useful outputs, but also drives the execution of tasks, resulting in even greater productivity gains and expanding businesses’ ability to provide a more flexible work experience.
In an hourly workplace setting, generative AI interfaces can automate WFM tasks like scheduling through conversational interactions, saving managers time and allowing them to accommodate employees’ requests more quickly (and frequently).
Large Language Models (LLMs), the type of AI used in natural language interfaces, are ideal for employee communications and driving actions. For example, if a manager at a coffee shop wanted to add another cashier to a Saturday morning shift, they could start by giving a simple command. From there, they could converse with the assistant to specify which cashier they’ll assign to fill the schedule, then send and distribute the revised schedule to their teams. In a single conversation, the manager will have conducted a task that might have taken several minutes or even hours, otherwise.
However, actionability isn’t easy to achieve. Conversational interfaces can be ambiguous and, without supplementary systems like a RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), can bar employees from accessing necessary information. As GenAI becomes more integrated within the hourly workplace, these solutions will continue to evolve.
Enabling Hourly Employee Success with AI
Managers of hourly workers will especially benefit from AI. When Legion asked how managers saw AI impacting their role in the next few months, 66% believed AI could “make scheduling easier” and 59% stated it could “improve the onboarding/training process”. Since managers play such an important role in the company’s overall function, the companies that focus on managers when creating efficiencies with AI will gain a competitive advantage.
Timesaving is one obvious benefit to managers: when they don’t have to worry about tedious tasks, they can focus on making sure other employees are successful. In fact, most managers who responded to the Legion survey said they would most like to use the time they got back from task automation to train their employees.
AI also helps managers reduce mistakes in the workplace. Tasks like demand forecasting and schedule generation are prone to human error – and those errors can have costly consequences, especially if they result in poor labor planning or compliance violations. Intelligently automating these tasks improves decision-making and reduces the risk to the organization. That said, human operators should always be able to take control and make adjustments.
It sounds counterintuitive, but implementing AI in the hourly workplace will ultimately make the workplace more human-centric. Not only does it give managers more time to spend with employees and customers, but can provide actionable insights that lead to better customer service and training experiences.
Of course, the benefits of AI are not exclusive to managers. As discussed before, AI can enable greater flexibility for hourly employees and assist with training. They’ll also see many of the same time-saving and error-reducing benefits that managers will.
Leaders should also prepare to address employees’ fears around AI. While only 12% of managers responding to the Legion survey agreed that they could see AI replacing their roles, the figure was double for hourly workers. That said, with the proper education and training, managers can become “AI ambassadors” in the workplace, helping their teams unlock the powerful advantages of these technologies.
Looking Ahead
Currently, only 11% of companies worldwide are using generative AI at scale. As this number continues to grow, leaders should focus on ensuring their employees are well-equipped to adopt these tools. This way, employees don’t feel that AI is adding to their workload, and companies can reap the full benefits of the technology’s productivity-boosting capabilities.
