It can be used in power tools and electric vehicles Toshiba has unveiled a prototype lithium-ion battery that uses a low-nickel, cobalt-free, high-potential cathode and a niobium titanium oxide (NTO) anode. The prototype has a capacity of 1.5 Ah and supports fast charging. The Japanese electronics maker said the battery cathode can suppress the formation of gas resulting from the decomposition of the electrolyte. This battery can be used in power tools, electric vehicles and high-voltage industrial installations. Based on Unisoc T606 Tecno introduced the budget smartphone Pop 8, which the manufacturer wanted to make similar to the iPhone.  [caption id="attachment_78126" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tecno Pop 8[/caption] Here this is expressed not only by the design of the camera module but also by the presence of an analogue of the Dynamic Island. However, there is no question of trying to copy everything at once. Tecno Pop 8 smartphone introduced  [caption id="attachment_78127" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Tecno Pop 8[/caption] The smartphone is also very cheap. In India, they ask for only 85 dollars. For this money, the buyer will receive a device with a 720p screen with a diagonal of 6.6 inches with a frame rate of 90 Hz, SoC Unisoc T606, 3 or 4 GB of RAM, 64 or 128 GB of flash memory, stereo speakers, a 13-megapixel camera and a battery with a capacity of 5000 mA h with 10-watt charging. What is interesting is the presence of a version with eco-leather, which is not usually found in this segment.

With a large inch sensor, it would not be possible to use the latest variable aperture lens After the premiere of Xiaomi 14 Pro, many people had a question: why the company’s new flagship did not receive the inch Sony IMX989 image sensor, which the Xiaomi 13 Pro has? After all, it is known that the larger the sensor, the more light it captures and the better the pictures are, especially in low-light conditions. However, as it turns out, Xiaomi had a good reason. [caption id="attachment_77889" align="alignnone" width="780"] Xiaomi 14 Pro[/caption] Not a downgrade, but an upgrade. The fact is that with an inch sensor, it would not be possible to use the latest lens with a variable aperture F/1.42-4.0 and its stepless change (Xiaomi talks about 1024 levels, but for a mobile device with so many of them we can talk about almost complete smoothness of change in hole diameter). Therefore, the Light Hunter 900 1/1.31-inch optical format sensor was developed specifically for the smartphone line, which, in conjunction with a new high-aperture lens, ensures light capture at the level of an inch sensor. But at the same time, a very high dynamic range is provided (13.5 exposure stops), and the user, thanks to the new lens, has the opportunity to adjust blur and exposure. In general, Xiaomi regards replacing an inch sensor with a smaller Light Hunter 900 as an upgrade, not a downgrade.

Another obvious advantage of HyperOS over MIUI The new flagships Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro feature UltraSpace technology, which provides users with more space to store files (such as photos and videos). So, in devices with 256 GB of flash memory, 264 GB are available, and in the version with 512 GB, 528 GB are available. [caption id="attachment_77829" align="alignnone" width="780"] Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro[/caption] The unique UltraSpace feature in Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro gives users more space to store files How is this implemented? Each flash memory chip has an area reserved for Over-Provisioning features to improve memory speed and reliability. Over-provisioning performs Garbage Collection, Wear Leveling, and Bad Block Re-Mapping. For Over-Provisioning, 10 GB is reserved in the memory chip, so the actual volume of such a chip, with the declared 256 GB, is 266 GB. Xiaomi engineers have found a way to use the space allocated for Over-Provisioning without compromising the reliability or speed of the drive. It is important to note that UltraSpace is only available in smartphones with HyperOS, but, as you know, many of the current devices with MIUI will receive HyperOS next year. Then, in theory, UltraSpace will become available in these models as well.

In just 4 hours Xiaomi 14 series smartphones went on sale yesterday in China and beat the opening day sales of all domestic smartphones over the past year on four major platforms: Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, and Kuaishou. Interestingly, before this, the title of best-selling models was held by more affordable smartphones, including Redmi K60, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, and their competitors. It is also clarified that it took only four hours to set the Xiaomi 14 record. Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro became the best-selling smartphones of 2023 in China in a matter of hours [caption id="attachment_77819" align="aligncenter" width="780"] Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.[/caption] Let us remind you that the Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone received a very durable Xiaomi Dragon Crystal protective glass, which increases protection against falls by 10 times. The next video shows that the glass is strong enough to forget nails using a smartphone. It was previously reported that sales soared by 600%.

The issue will be discussed again next year India will defer license requirements for importing laptops and tablets, two government officials said. Industry and the US government have previously complained about the move, which could hit Apple, Samsung, and other companies. The plan will be delayed for a year, after which the government will consider introducing a licensing regime, one of the officials, who wished to remain anonymous, told Reuters. The licensing regime, announced abruptly on August 3, was aimed at "ensuring trusted equipment and systems" enter India, reducing dependence on imports, boosting local manufacturing, and partially addressing the country's trade imbalance with China. However, due to industry objections, the original plan was quickly delayed by about three months. [caption id="attachment_59621" align="aligncenter" width="600"] laptops[/caption] Apple, Samsung, Dell, and HP exhaled: India, under US pressure, changed its mind about banning the import of laptops Last month, US trade chief Katherine Tai expressed India's concerns about the move, which would also affect companies such as Dell and HP. India's Ministry of Electronics is now proposing to simplify the import registration process, which is set to begin in November. The new “import management system” will require companies to obtain “certificates of registration” to import laptops, tablets, and personal computers, instead of the licenses previously proposed by the August 3 order. India's electronics imports, including laptops, tablets, and personal computers, totaled $19.7 billion between April and June, up 6.25% year-on-year.
