I love the idea of Ratchet being captured while badly injured. It wasn't necessarily on purpose-- he knows the Cons would love to take him prisoner in order to utilize his medical skills, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Once they realized he was a medic they pulled him from the rubble and got him on a slab pretty quickly all things considered. The trouble is there's a reason the Cons value medical expertise-- he's bleeding out, they don't have enough supplies, and at this rate Ratchet knows he's gonna die. So with whatever strength he can muster he gets the attention of one of the grunts working on him.

Ratchet: H... hey... I need you... to pass on a message...

Con 1: To who, your Prime? Not gonna happen.

Con 2: Yeah we don't really do the 'any last words' thing.

Ratchet: No... *wheeze* to Deadlock.

Con 1 & 2: *go still*

Ratchet: Tell 'im... I'll... be waiting... for him...

Con 2: Wait a klik...

Con 1: ... You don't think--?

Con 2: -- Frag! Oh frag!! His vitals!!! Dealock is gonna kill us!!

Con 1: Scrap! Get Soundwave on the line, have him patch to the DJD!

Con 2: He's not gonna make it! I don't want them to know my face!

Con 2: Oh Primus, I hope they don't pick up...

#ratchlock #cue Ratchet miraculously pulling through #mainly cuz the djd pulled rank and got ratchet transported to better care #which was only allowed because megs couldn't really afford to have deadlock lose his marbles and kill everybody right after a battle #deadlock isn't there when he wakes up. he's still a bit of a coward in that regard.#he also wanted to first focus on getting ratchet better before like... bombarding them both with feels #tarn is delighted to finally have a face and name to go with deadlock's medic obsession-- it's a weakness easily exploited #Megs is annoyed af. of COURSE your precious assumed-to-be-dead-or-never-real-to-begin-with medic HAD to be Prime's lapdog and CMO.#couldn't have been some random hick from Nyon noooo it had to be literally the most important medic this side of the galaxy.#now Megs has multiple issues to deal with. for one-- Optimus and the Bots obviously wants Ratchet back.#almost desperately so. which could be an excellent bargaining chip in a prisoner exchange or even a general hostage demand situation #HOWEVER Deadlock and the djd appear to want to keep the bugger... and there will likely be consequences if they cannot.#*sigh* maybe megs will be lucky and Ratchet will conveniently escape on his own.#but then again-- Ratchet is clearly LINGERING instead of making escape attempts??? does he have a death wish???? megs is TIRED

I hate that everything has to be on screens now. I want away from the constant noise and overstimulation. I want to read a real, physical book. Talk to someone face-to-face. Be able to draw without needing to use digital programs for everything. Play games without a screen. Cook from a recipe book rather than a Google result. I want to be able to leave my house for free.

btw in Brisbane Australia we have a public transport ferry system that connects to the bus lines.

it's super awesome and amazing and you get to go on the water for the price of a bus ticket. singlehandedly my favourite type of transportation, why is there no ferries in Perth they are weak that is why and also everyone hates WA.

but man ferries are awesome.

#nothing important #being adult is great but also not lol #who's to stop meee #tbh tho I've had the kobo libra for less than 24h at this point and it IS way more convenient to hold than the kindle pw #I'll be selling the latter at some point #but I made the dumb mistake of sticking a ring directly onto it bc it was too heavy to hold with a case #but on the other hand I had to have some form of grip at the back #so now whoever buys it will either have to peel it off with bits of the kindle judging from the cases found on the nrt #net #or use it how I did with a designated sleeve for storage and transport

I know this is literally just the point of Transformers, but can we talk about how objectively cool being a species able to transform into a vehicle is?

I mean for starters, you have a built in, incredibly convenient and faster mobility option. And it’s one you don’t have to buy or keep track of, you can just become that transportation whenever you feel like it. And you don’t need extra fuel for it either, the fuel is just your diet. And some people can even fly with this alternate mode

Not to mention you can carry stuff in this mode, presumably more conveniently than just using your hands and by proxy, being able to carry a lot more stuff. Heck you might even be able to carry your friends in this form if the size difference isn’t too big

And with the Transformers specifically, they can alter their transportation modes when they go to different planets so that they can either blend in better or go through the new planet’s terrain more easily. That’s so useful

Also, it just looks cool, I don’t know what else to tell you

#we need more media with characters able to become vehicles #I know they Transformers are the main people doing it but you can have more #I also think this should be a more common game mechanic #Nova in Anodyne 2 can turn into a car and it’s really convenient #let us become cars so we have faster transport at any time #but yeah I just think this concept it objectively cool and needs to be used more #I was rewatching g1 the other day and it made me think of this #also I liked their Cybertronian alt modes I kind of want to see more of those #transformers #random stuff
