https://lifesporttravel.com/?p=1533 Everything Included on Carnival Cruise Line | Plus What Will Cost You Extra! - https://lifesporttravel.com/?p=1533 Before you book a Carnival cruise, you will want to know what is covered in the cruise fare plus the additional costs the cruise line doesn’t tell you about. So, we have put together this complete guide to everything included on a Carnival cruise, plus what is extra! Subscribe to the Eat Sleep Cruise YouTube Channel if you love to travel and cruise the world! https://www.youtube.com/c/EatSleepCruise1 If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! EVERYTHING INCLUDED ON A CARNIVAL CRUISE 0:00 Introduction 1:00 Accommodations 1:52 Food and Drinks 4:00 Onboard Activities 5:58 Nightly Entertainment 6:52 Youth Programs 8:10 What’s Not Included 8:28 Alcoholic Beverages 9:28 Specialty Dining 10:14 Cruise Gratuities 11:14 Select Activities 11:55 Additional Onboard Services 12:58 Shore Excursions 13:30 Add-Ons EVERYTHING INCLUDED IN A CARNIVAL CRUISE Your cruise fare on Carnival Cruise Line covers the cost of your stateroom for the duration of the trip, including daily service by a stateroom attendant. The type of cabin you choose will be the biggest factor when determining your total cruise costs. Like most cruise lines, Carnival Cruise Line’s main dining rooms offer a multi-course rotational menu that changes nightly. All meals in the MDR are complimentary for up to 2 entrees. Carnival also offers several more casual dining spots that are also included in your cruise fare. Some of these options include the Lido Marketplace buffet, Guy’s Burger Joint, a Pizza Parlor, and Blue Iguana Cantina. Further, there is always something to do on a Carnival Cruise Line ship that will not cost you anything. These complimentary activities include trivia, demonstrations, dance classes, movies on the lido deck, and more. There is also a gym, sports court, and a kids’ program. Guests can also enjoy nightly signature entertainment in the main theater. From headliner acts to Broadway-style Playlist Productions, you don’t want to miss out on these shows. Of course, there is live music throughout the ship in the evenings as well as plenty of bars serving up your favorite cocktails. While the music is free, the drinks will cost extra. Regardless of your interests, there is plenty to do, see, and eat while on your Carnival Cruise vacation without paying anything extra. However, there are also upgraded experiences and add-ons that are not included in the cruise fare. WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED ON CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE Cruise gratuities are services charges that are not included in the standard cruise fare, similar to a hotel resort fee. These additional fees are a per person, per day dollar amount that are charged to all guests across all stateroom categories. Unfortunately, shore excursions are not part of the cruise fare either. While you can get off in port and explore on your own, organized tours will cost extra money. Further, you will need to purchase an internet package if you want to stay in touch with family and friends, as WiFi is not part of the cruise fare on Carnival. While there are many dining venues covered in the cruise fare, perhaps the most of any cruise line, there are up-charge dining venues as well. From the signature steakhouse Fahrenheit 555, to Rudi’s Sea Grill, Bonsai Sushi and Teppanyaki, and Cucina del Capitano, some restaurants on Carnival cruise ships will cost you extra money. As you might expect, alcoholic beverages are not included in the standard cruise fare either. Beverages like specialty coffees, soft drinks, bottled water, and energy drinks are all an additional fee too. If you plan to consume any of these beverages on a regular basis, you should consider purchasing a Cheers drink package. Carnival Cruise Line celebrates American Craft Beer Week, with a one-of-a-kind beer only available at Carnival Vista’s RedFrog Pub & Brewery.
Press Release
MIAMI (May 22, 2017) -  To celebrate American Craft Beer Week, Carnival Cruise Line has created a special one-of-a-kind tropical-flavored beer served exclusively at Carnival Vista’s RedFrog Pub & Brewery, the first brewery aboard a North American-based cruise ship.
The new Miami Guava Wheat beer was unveiled this weekend at a shipboard ceremony during which Carnival Vista’s expert brewmaster Colin Presby tapped the first cask of the deliciously refreshing new brew.  Guests on board were the first to sample the highly drinkable beer, hand-crafted by Presby using the finest ingredients and inspired by Carnival Vista’s Miami homeport.  Miami Guava Wheat reflects the tropics with a light body and palate-pleasing notes of tangy pink guava, the primary ingredient in Miami’s ever-popular guava pastries.
“Since Carnival Vista began sailing from Miami, I’ve become fascinated by tropical fruit and Cuban cuisine so I’m beyond thrilled to create this new Miami Guava Wheat in honor of American Craft Beer Week for our guests to enjoy,” Presby said.
Available on a limited basis, Miami Guava Wheat joins the three other original draft beers brewed only onboard Carnival Vista -- ThirstyFrog Port Hoppin’ IPA offering aromatic, floral and hoppy notes with tropical and citrus overtones; ThirstyFrog Caribbean Wheat, an unfiltered wheat beer with flavors of orange and spices; and FriskyFrog Java Stout, a take on a traditional stout, rich and creamy with hints of coffee.
The brewed-on-board beers are just several of the many innovative food and beverage offerings on Carnival Vista which also features the cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, the New England-inspired Seafood Shack, JiJi Asian Kitchen serving authentic cuisine from across the Far East, Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, and Cucina del Capitano, a family-style Italian eatery.
Other features aboard Carnival Vista include a groundbreaking bike-ride-in-the-sky attraction called SkyRide, the first IMAX Theatre at sea, Family Harbor featuring family-friendly accommodations and the Family Harbor Lounge, and vibrant Havana staterooms and suites with exclusive daytime access to a Cuban-themed bar and pool.
Carnival Vista operates six- and eight-day Caribbean cruises from PortMiami to the Caribbean and will shift to Galveston, Texas, in fall 2018 when its sister ship, Carnival Horizon, launches year-round service from Miami.

Carnival Vista including Accessibility (Review)
I recently had the privilege and joy of participating in a ship inspection of the Carnival Vista at the Port of Galveston. I have cruised on several Carnival ships in the past however I am not scheduled to actually cruise on the Vista until later for a family cruise.
The Carnival Vista is currently the only one in the Vista Class, she is registered to Panama, and she had her inaugural cruise in May 2016. Her itineraries range from 6 - 9 days out of Galveston into the Caribbean. If you haven’t cruised out of Galveston before, the Vista is a great way to check out the available itineraries.
Ship Specs
Crew capacity of 1,450;
Guest capacity of 3,934;
8 Grand Suites;
66 Ocean Suites;
854 Balcony Staterooms;
23 Oceanview Staterooms with patio or lanai;
264 Oceanview Staterooms;
732 Interior Staterooms;
20 Oceanview and Interior Upper/lower Staterooms
Of the 1967 rooms, 25 are accessible rooms modified for wheelchair users. Our oldest daughter travels in a wheelchair so this is very important to us and to many of the families for whom I book travel.
Currently the Vista has two itineraries out of the Port of Galveston. First there is the Cozumel - Jamaica - Grand Cayman itinerary. A nice itinerary with either Ocho Rios or Montego Bay in Jamaica, you will have the opportunity to check out beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling.
The second itinerary includes Mahogany Bay in Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel. I have been on this itinerary on Royal Caribbean and it is my favorite out of Galveston. This itinerary is great for snorkeling but also for cultural/historical experiences such as visiting Mayan ruins.
FOOD
Let me throw out a disclaimer before I get started: I am not a huge fan of buffets. That doesn’t mean I don’t do buffets at all. I just prefer the menu variety and service of the dining room without having to wait in line behind everyone else. I will do the buffet for lunch after boarding and maybe once or twice for the duration of the cruise however vacation is when I treat and pamper myself so I prefer to sit down, enjoy the view, and have food brought to me.
Let me add on suggestion about the dining room here: try something new! This is the perfect time and place to try something you normally wouldn’t if you were out to dinner in your hometown. Why? Because, if you don’t like it, you can just order something else. This is how I discovered I really like escargot. Don’t get stuck on eating the same thing again and again!
Guy’s Burger Joint is my favorite outside of the dining room. There may be some of you reading this thinking “a burger is a burger is a burger” and perhaps that is true in some circumstances. But Guy’s Burger Joint is worth checking out despite having only a handful of options. Anything with Rojo Rings gets my vote but if you prefer a burger with a little less pizazz, the Plain Jane is a sure bet. If you are craving beef and are hungry in a hurry, Guy’s Burger Joint is for you!
While meals at most restaurants are included in your cruise fare, they are some additional options for a fee. The Steakhouse offers entrees and cuts of steak not available in the dining room and you will not be disappointed. The appetizers and desserts are absolutely beautiful…..too beautiful to eat and I something I would never be able to do…..and I have never been disappointed by the quality or flavor of the food.
When we last went to the Steakhouse, the fee was $35 per person however I hear it has since gone up to $38 per person ($12 for children 11 years old and younger). My suggestion is to skip lunch on the day you plan to go to the Steakhouse because there is so much food! You will not walk out hungry!
Above you will see an example of the menu (be sure to scroll through all four pages). If you are a seafood lover, the Maine Lobster Bisque and Surf & Turf are EXCELLENT. Otherwise the pork belly, lamb chops and rib eye are all great!
Room service is something I typically do only in the mornings because I love having coffee on my balcony. The kids, on the other hand, love room service at any time of the day. If you are new to cruising on Carnival, please note that some items are free of charge while others carry a nominal fee.
For the rest of your food options (some free and some for a fee):
BlueIguana Cantina
Cucina del Capitano
Jiji Asian Kitchen
Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que
Seafood Shack
Bonsai Sushi
Chef’s Table
JavaBlue Cafe
Pizzeria del Capitano
Carnival Deli
Captain’s Pasta Bar
RedFrog Pub & Brewery
Comfort Kitchen
ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility is something that matters to me because 1) we have a kiddo that travels in a wheelchair, and 2) because I occasionally have travel clients with mobility issues. The document I have included below shows the accessible pathways with the blue dotted lines. Other accessible areas (i.e. bathrooms, public areas, elevators, etc) are also in blue.
Carnival is great about helping guests with special needs. The Guest Access department can be reached by phone or email however I recommend utilizing their online form for requesting assistance. I recommend planing your next cruise at least 12 months ahead if you need an accessible rooms because they tend to sell out quickly.
Ambulatory Accessible Cabins are staterooms designed for guests with mobility limitations but who do not require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter, or other devices. Ambulatory Accessible Cabins are perfect for cruisers who only use an assistive device (like a cane or a walker) for long distances or who may benefit from amenities like grab bars.
Fully Accessible Cabins - Single Side Approach are staterooms designed for guests with highly limited mobility, who require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter or other devices.  Fully Accessible Cabins have clear floor space on only one side of the bed and they have an accessible bathroom with grab bars and shower seats.
Fully Accessible Cabins are staterooms designed for guests with highly limited mobility, who require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter or other devices. Fully Accessible Cabins have accessibility including turning space, accessible routes throughout the stateroom and bathroom. The bathrooms have grab bars and shower seats.
When we cruise, one of my requests is having an ASL sign language interpreter for my daughter. I have done with this Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian and all of our experiences have been fabulous. I advise you to submit requests at least 90 days out so that there is adequate time to find someone. The best part? It is at no additional cost to the cruiser!
Dietary needs, service animals, blind/low vision issues, oxygen, dialysis……..these are some of the things that can be addressed if you call the Guest Access department. You can reach them at 1-800-438-6744 ext.70025 or email [email protected].  They are fabulous at helping guests have the best experience possible!
STATEROOMS
Staterooms can be such a controversial topic. Some people see staterooms as just a place to lay your head down, while others see staterooms as an extension of the experience. My family and I lean more toward the experience so we usually pay to have a bigger room and more amenities.
Interior rooms typically don’t offer a window however some may have a window out to a walkway. I have friends that prefer interior rooms with no window because they sleep better when it is totally dark. Interior rooms, as all staterooms do, have their own private bathroom with room occupancy being between two and four people. If you are not claustrophobic, interior rooms will work out just fine for you. I personally do not recommend interior rooms for more than two people because of limited space.
Ocean View rooms have a larger window that allows you to look out upon the ocean or out onto a walkway. If you are nervous about having small children and a balcony, the ocean view room is a good compromise. I personally do not recommend an ocean view room for more two people because of limited space.
Balcony rooms are my starting point because I love having a balcony. I love enjoying the sound of the ocean before I go to bed, and again in the morning watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee. If suites are cost prohibitive on certain itineraries, I will book a balcony room. If you plan to have more than two people, a balcony is good option simply because of the extra space of the balcony. It seems that we are almost always out on our balcony when we are in our room.
Suites are my favorite for a couple of reasons: first, there is more space in a suite. We have three children, all grown, however one has special needs. My husband and I keep her with us so we typically get a suite to give us a little more space (the other two children usually share a balcony of their own). Second, I like having the suite perks and amenities. Suite perks and amenities vary with each cruise line so please don’t assume they are all the same. For Carnival, having a suite gives you VIP check in, embarkation, and debarkation. You get priority dinner reservations and main dining room time assignment. You also get dressing area outside of your bathroom and two bottled water (not a big deal for some but still worth mentioning).
The Carnival Vista has a category of rooms called Family Harbor. One of the things I like about the Family Harbor staterooms is having access to the Family Harbor Lounge. The lounge offers a nice space for family activities, and it has a smaller room off to the side that could be used for a quiet space if your kiddo gets a little overstimulated. I mention this space to my special needs families in case they aren’t in their stateroom but they need a space to deal with behaviors.
ENTERTAINMENT
Entertainment is such a subject topic to discuss because personal preference has everything to do with what we seek out. I have had a few clients express concern over having enough to do while at sea and let me tell you…….that should not be a problem at all for most people! Even if you just want some quiet time on the serenity deck with a book and an adult beverage, there is pretty much something for everyone. That being said, below you will find a list of the many things you can do while relaxing at sea (some are free, some for a fee):
SkyRide
Lip Sync Battle

Hasbro, the Game Show
Playlist Productions
SportsSquare including volleyball and basketball

When you go on vacation, wouldn’t it be great if the parents could get a break from the kids and the kids could get a break from the parents? For many cruise lines, that is a thing!
Carnival has age appropriate activities for children age 2 - 11 (Camp Ocean) , 12 - 14 (Circle C), and 15 - 17 (ClubO2). Games, movies, karaoke, video games, and arts & crafts. Parents can get a break, kids have fun, and everyone wins! And yes, this is included in your cruise fare.
Night Owls is a program (for a fee) in which child care is provided after hours—until 1 am— for children age 6 months - 11 years. Music, activities, and games are provided in a group setting so that kids are entertained and supervised while parents enjoy some “us time.” Perfect for having date night on your cruise!
Our oldest daughter enjoys some of the Camp Ocean activities even though she is well over 11 years of age. Developmentally she is about 10 years of age and Carnival staff have always been great about allowing us to take her for various art classes during our cruise. If you have a loved one with special needs, and you see classes he/she may enjoy, talk to Carnival staff about it.
*************************************************************************************************************
So, if you couldn’t tell, I really like the Vista. Everything was absolutely beautiful and the dining room served us a fabulous lunch. I really like the Serenity Deck, the SportsSquare with volleyball and basketball courts, the Family Harbor Lounge, and the SkyCourse so I’m sure I’ll spend a lot of time in those areas.
My recommendation to Carnival would be to have more accessible rooms since 25 out of 1967 is hardly anything and also because they sell out so fast. If you have any questions about accessibility or if you need any information regarding Austism on the Seas, please email me. I am always happy to help!
Check back later for my review of the Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas!
Make this beautiful day count!

First we eat, then we do everything else
Raise your glass! You are on vacation, you like endless summers and sunshine on your face. Nothing is more refreshing than a piña colada on the Lido Deck while having a bite. Cruising brings about those cravings for food and drinks.
Is a vacation a good experience without unexpected flavors? Of course not! And there are multiple dining options on board Carnival Cruise: burrito bar, steakhouse, seadogs, Lido deck, 24-hour room service, pizza bar, BBQ, Chef’s Table, Mongolian Wok, Cucina del Capitano, Seaday Brunch, and the list goes on.
I have received a few complaints about the food on some Carnival cruises. Some of them, for example, seem to be connected to the idea that the food on the Fantasy Class don’t taste as good as the Vista Class, according to these guests. Hmm. Now this is a matter of perspective, or discerning palate. They talk about bad quality, but can’t explain exactly what is wrong with the food.
Others complain about the staff “being more concerned about selling booze”, as described by one guest; waiting an hour to eat, “getting grilled Jumbo shrimp served cold and having only 5 small pieces”. Ahem, it’s not lobster, sir!
Well, this can be an endless topic- food lovers and food critics would agree. Here are some tips to enjoy your food:
Dining room etiquette - You can order as much as you’d like in the dining room. It’s not a rumor! Your maitre d’ won’t even bother. However, be mindful about food waste. If you order room service between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., there is a charge of $2-$6 per item for a new menu of dishes. New menu includes Greek salads, chicken Caesar salads, portabella and veggie buns, grilled cheeses, bacon and tomato sandwiches, roast turkey wraps, dark chocolate walnut brownies, doughnut sandwiches, banana splits, and more.
Cheese plate to go - On the dessert menu in the dining room there is a cheese plate featured along with he nightly selection of desserts. If you’re too stuffed after dinner to order dessert, the this is a good option. You can take it back to the stateroom, or another lounge for after-dinner cocktails.
Wine packages - Do you know that you can bring a bottle of wine or champagne with you not exceeding the 750 ml? Well, if you don’t want to carry on bottles of wine/champagne, multi-bottle wine packages are available for purchase before your cruise. And you don’t need to drink the full bottle at dinner! Your server will cork the bottle, store it safely, and bring it to you the next evening.
The Cheers! Package - You can pre-purchase the beverage package and enjoy a variety of wine, beer and spirits, up to 15 drinks per day. It also includes soft drinks, specialty tea, coffee, etc. The average drink a day is around $10 if you don’t do this package. Happy savings!
Lunch in the dining room - Almost everybody would rush to the Lido deck for a buffet lunch on embarkation day, but guess what? The dining room is open during lunchtime, too. No wait time for a table!
Hopefully, I will see you in a cruise! Until then, book in advance. Call 1-800-819-3902 ext 83425.

Carnival Horizon Official Naming Ceremony in NYC
We’ve been friends for a while now, you and I. So, you know a little bit about me….and one thing I’m confident you know is that I am obsessed with being out on the water.
I live sailing. I love catamarans. And I LOVE to cruise.
My wonderful friends at Carnival Cruise Line have once again outdone themselves. I was invited for a first look at their newest ship, the Carnival Horizon as she was officially named by Godmother, Queen Latifah.
Carnival’s President, Christine Duffy, affectionally refers to the Horizon, the 26th ship in their fleet, as the ‘Sista to the Vista‘ – the ship that held the new title until the Horizon set sail. The Horizon is the 2nd Vista Class Ship within the Carnival family.
And it is magnificent.
At the time that I stepped aboard, the ship had been party to only three sailings – two in the Mediterranean and the cross Atlantic journey in to New York City.
As this is the second naming ceremony I’ve been honored to attend (I was there to welcome the Vista to New York just less than two years ago), I knew to expect some of the tradition and heart that goes in to the Horizon’s official Carnival Family welcome, but there were a few moments that had me smiling big.
The first was at the very beginning of our day. I’ve written about my love of the long-time partnership that exists between Carnival and St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, but our day started as Christine Duffy presented a $100,000 check to St. Jude’s and Richard Shadyac Jr., president, and CEO of ALSAC and beautiful young St. Jude’s patient, Victoria. (ALSAC is the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude’s.) In 2010, Carnival committed to raise $20 million over 10 years for St. Jude’s and they are more than on track, having already collected and donated $16 million. On board each and every sailing, guests like you and I can support this cause with the ‘Groove for St. Jude’ – a dance party held poolside.
Queen Latifah stopped by to visit with us for a few minutes before heading to the Horizon to prepare for her role as Godmother.
As is tradition, the official naming ceremony includes a prayer and the godmother’s official dedication and naming. Watching Queen Latifah take a deep breath and pause to take it all in was a reflection of every other person on the ship at that moment. It can, quite simply, be described as awe. Awe that culminated into a traditional christening as Queen Latifah and Captain Luigi De Angelis poured a large bottle of champagne over the Horizon’s Bell.
Stepping on board is an exercise in keeping your jaw from hitting the deck.
But what’s so special about the Carnival Horizon?
As Carnival sails more children than any other cruise line each year, they are committed to FUN. The ship and crew encourage you to Choose Fun with every moment you experience.
Water Play: Dr. Suess Waterworks is a collection of all things good and amazing in the world of water play. With side-by-slides, a giant tipping hat and plenty of water toys, you won’t be dry for long. And you’ll be choosing the kind of fun that makes memories.
Good Eats: With more than ten restaurant options, you will find your mouth watering as you explore. Would you like Sushi or Steak? Pizza or Tacos? Seafood or BBQ? Whatever you may crave, you will happily find your options plentiful. You can expect to find Carnival favorites like Cucina del Capitano and Guy’s Burger Joint, but the Horizon is the first of the Carnival fleet to offer a Teppanyaki experience at sea.
Additionally, we were there as Guy Fieri officially opened his newest addition to the Carnival Family – Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse/Brewhouse. It’s safe to assume the bar-b-que is stellar and yes, there is beer being brewed on board.
All About the Kids: I mentioned Carnival’s love for St. Jude, but the Horizon honors this relationship and dedication to the kids in a completely new way. A two-story dreamscape in the Horizon’s atrium features 31 pieces of original artwork done entirely by kids at St. Jude’s. It is at once magnificent and breathtaking.
Choosing Fun 24/7: Hit the Sportsquare for volleyball, ping pong, basketball, or Twister….or take to the sky – riding high on a two lane bike course on the SkyRide. When you want a little inside time, take in a show or spend a few hours in the Carnival Multiplex – featuring an IMAX theater and a 3-D experience.
Adults Included: Some of my favorite adults only areas have been carried over – from the Cloud 9 Spa to the Serenity area. Additionally, the Havana Bar and Pool is a little slice of paradise during the day and a dance club guaranteed to get you moving by night.
Our evening continued as we watched Queen Latifah and Jake Elliott – the kicker for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, test their skills in a special Lip Sync Battle (this battle will be a regular event for guests on each sailing as they compete against each other and a crowd pleasing champion is crowned.) It likely won’t surprise you to know the Queen reigned supreme with her rendition of ‘It’s Raining Men’.
The Carnival Horizon’s official naming ceremony concluded with a stunning fireworks display. We disembarked the next morning and the extraordinary crew prepared the boat for its first North American sailing to Bermuda that afternoon.
If you’d like to set sail on the Carnival Horizon, you can book here. Options include Bermuda, the Eastern and Western Caribbean and Mexico. I can’t wait to share more with you in the next month.
Disclosure: I was proud to be a guest of Carnival’s at the Horizon’s naming ceremony. As always, all thoughts and opinions are mine and mine alone.

Carnival Cruise Line to Reposition Ships in Three Key Homeports in 2018, Providing Exciting New Vacation Choices from Galveston, Port Canaveral and Miami
Carnival Vista to reposition to Galveston, Carnival Breeze to Port Canaveral and Carnival Magic to Miami in September 2018
Carnival Cruise Line will reposition three of its newest and largest ships to new homeports in 2018, expanding upon the exciting variety of cruise options available from Galveston, Texas, Port Canaveral, Fla.,  and Miami. In September 2018 Carnival Vista will move to Galveston; Carnival Breeze will reposition to Port Canaveral; and Carnival Magic will shift to Miami.
Carnival Vista to Offer Two Week-Long Caribbean Itineraries from Galveston
Beginning Sept. 23, 2018, the newest ship in Carnival's fleet, the 133,500-ton Carnival Vista, will begin sailing from Galveston and offer two different seven-day western Caribbean itineraries departing every Sunday and visiting the region's most popular destinations. The first itinerary includes calls at Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, while the other features visits to Mahogany Bay (Isla Roatan), Belize, and Cozumel.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Designed to connect guests to the ocean with sweeping views and plenty to do both outdoors and in, Carnival Vista offers an exciting array of groundbreaking features  including SkyRide, a suspended open-air cycling experience; the world's first IMAX Theatre on a ship; an expansive water park featuring the colorful Kaleid-o-slide, the line's first tube slide; RedFrog Pub & Brewery featuring the first brewery on a North American-based ship; and Family Harbor with family-friendly staterooms, a family concierge, the Family Harbor Lounge and more.
Carnival Vista, which debuted in 2016, will join Carnival Freedom and Carnival Valor sailing year-round from Galveston.
Carnival Breeze to Offer Seven-Day Cruises Year-Round from Port Canaveral
Carnival Breeze will kick off its new Port Canaveral-based program with a one-time six-day cruise to Nassau; Amber Cove (Dominican Republic); and Grand Turk on Sept. 30, 2018, followed by the start of  year-round alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises beginning Oct. 6, 2018. Those voyages will depart every Saturday with eastern Caribbean itineraries calling at Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. Western Caribbean voyages will feature Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Costa Maya, part of Carnival's exclusive Cozumel Plus itineraries offering extended stays in Cozumel and a variety of unique and interesting shore excursions on the island and on the Mexican mainland.
Longer Length Carnival Journeys Cruises on Carnival Breeze For guests who desire a longer length experience, Carnival Breeze will operate two Carnival Journeys cruises. On Sept. 16, 2018, as the ship repositions from Galveston to Port Canaveral, it will operate a 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise calling at Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, Grenada, Barbados, Dominica and St. Maarten.
Another 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise operating round-trip from Port Canaveral Saturday, Nov. 3-17, 2018, includes stops at eight Caribbean destinations including St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, St. Maarten, Tortola, and San Juan.
Carnival Breeze will be the newest and largest Carnival ship to sail from Port Canaveral, which is also the year-round homeport for Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Liberty.  Carnival Breeze features Thrill Theater, an immersive multidimensional special effects experience that makes viewers feel as if they're part of the movie. Other highlights include a massive WaterWorks aqua park offering splash-tastic water slides and the 300-gallon PowerDrencher tipping bucket, and SportSquare, an expansive recreation area with a suspended ropes course, mini golf, an outdoor fitness area and more.
Carnival Magic to Offer Seven-Day Caribbean Cruises from Miami (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Carnival Magic will launch a year-round schedule of seven-day alternating eastern and western Caribbean cruises departing Sundays from PortMiami beginning Sept. 30, 2018.  Eastern Caribbean cruises will call at Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turk. Western Caribbean sailings will feature Grand Cayman, Mahogany Bay, Belize and Cozumel.
Carnival Magic will also offer a special seven-day Cozumel Plus holiday cruise departing Miami Dec. 23, 2018, and calling at Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay and Grand Cayman.
The 130,000-ton Carnival Magic features the line's signature RedFrog Pub, the SportSquare outdoor recreation area and Cucina del Capitano family-style Italian restaurant. In 2016 the ship underwent an extensive multimillion-dollar makeover that added a variety of exciting dining and bar innovations, including Guy's Burger Joint developed in tandem with Food Network star Guy Fieri, RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Tequila Bar, BlueIguana Cantina Mexican eatery, Pizzeria del Capitano and the Alchemy Bar.
Carnival Magic will join Carnival Glory, Carnival Sensation, and Carnival Victory at the line's busiest homeport.
