8 — what are your favorite character dynamics from [the desire for power]? elaborate on why. what scenarios not followed through with in-story would you want to put each dynamic in most? (ex: truthserum-ed and locked in a room; roadtripping; coffeeshop au; etc)

Aaaaaaa this is so hard so I’m gonna do two favorite (romantic) dynamics I like :)

One that I like to write currently in ‘the desire for power’ is Santino and Vincent. There’s this sort of unreliable narrator happening between them as they switch POVs which add to the confusion of who really is “right” in the end. That’s all I can say without spoilers :P oh I would put them in a fake dating au just because I think it’d be funny if they were just so painfully annoying and stupid towards each other (dissing each other in poetry)

The second romantic pairing that I like is RADIOADMIRER RAAAAHHHHH DJ X VINCENT HORRAYYYY—uh anyways. They’re pretty much a friends-to-lovers sort of thing and if they dated for longer, Vincent probably would have never turned towards the High Table and followed his own ambitions that aren’t influenced by his father. I would love to put them in a high school au tbh they’re so high school sweethearts coded 2 me <3

13 — which aspects of worldbuilding are your favorites? (if not applicable: which parts of the setting interest you most?)

LOVE LOVE LOVE how people under the high table function and how they work which includes how families interact with each other and how people come to go to turning to a life of crime, from civilian to a member.

If Santino is a writer, do you think Vincent helps him with it? Or he isn't interested in writing. What would Santino write about to get his attention? :>

I think Vincent would help him :3 atleast pre-movie Vincent. Since we know that some sort of spiral happened with him caused to make him into a menace

Anyways, I think Santino writes about his own experiences in a more novelist way, in which he takes parts of his own psyche and dissects them to their very core to create a story. Of course, he was never confident enough to show them especially to his sister— God forbid Gianna if she ever read his stuff. With Vincent I think he would have been fond of reading Santino’s stuff, whether it was in Italian or English. Mostly Italian, but Vincent did understand it considering he was an associate of the Table under Gianna. Vincent would help Santino gather his words and form them into something, it’s like solving a puzzle piece for him since Vincent likes reading, and enjoys the romantic parts of life— the things in life that require time, talent, or effort; all of which he sees in Santino

I was tagged by @thewhumpcaretaker thank you so much for tagging me for this little WIP challenge ^_^ here is a short extract from a DEMOLITION🇮🇹💥🇫🇷💥 fic I wish to finish and yes I did indeed write several versions of the line Vincent says.

Santino knows better than to fuck with associates or those lower than him. But fuck, Vincent. His name rolls off Santino’s tongue so well, a word— a name he feels, that he has been saying for hundreds of years. Vincent.

Vincent is writing, it’s something he does when bored. Santino writes too when he’s bored. A common ground shared between them, but it’s still all not that similar. A poet— Vincent; and an unpublished author, Santino.

“You’re always silent around me.” Santino says to Vincent. Ares is close by. The winds make the leaves shift and rustle lightly but not enough to pick them up from where they stand on the ground.

“Is something wrong with that?” Vincent doesn’t even have the courtesy to look up from that stupid little journal of his. Cursive writing plague each and every page, marked with blobs on ink settled into the paper from pressing his pen too hard sometimes.

“No.” Santino says back.

“Okay then talk.” Santino has never been spoken to this by anyone other than Gianna and his father. Vincent says it so seriously that Santino feels a little…. Angry. “What kind of conversation can you possibly offer me to warrant steady streams of responses from me?” Vincent talks too much for his own good, maybe a little too good at talking. Santino is wants to punch him but he knows that Vincent’s more closer to Gianna than Santino is to her.

A brief pause settles between the pair.

“What are you writing then?” Santino asks.

“Je suis mon désespoir dans l'espoir qu'il me guérisse.” Vincent reads out to Santino. “Now you read me your own.”

“What?” Santino says. “No. I won’t. It’s too…” his voice drifts off when Vincent closes his notebook.

“Too… bad?” Vincent finishes for him.
