A few of Far Cry 5’s characters’ former names (according to the files)

Did you know that some characters used to have different names? Here’s what I found:

Adelaide Drubman - Penny Johnson (I’m not sure; it’s unclear)

Casey Fixman - Casey Seagal or Casey Storm

Chad Wolanski - Chad Gardetto

Faith Seed - Selena Seed

George Wilson - George Beel

Guy Marvel - Guy Martel (headcanon: it’s still his name but he thought Marvel was a cooler name for a movie director)

Hurk Drubman Senior - Wayne Senior

Joseph Seed - Daniel Seed

Merle Briggs - Merle Clinton

Wilhelmina Mable - Wilhelmina Maybelline

Also, I’ve said this before but Deputy Pratt’s first name is actually Stacy and not Staci. In the files, it’s only not spelled Stacy once, in the end credits... which is also, unfortunately, the only time players had a chance to see it written.

According to the files, Larry Parker’s first name is Laurence, the man we meet near Arcade machines is Morris Aubrey, and the fisherman is Coyote Nelson… but his description in the unreleased in-game encyclopedia also implies he died, so that might be inaccurate.

Kate Daniels series vs the Mercy Thompson series.

While I have criticisms of the Kate Daniels series, it’s a much better series because Ilona Andrews isn’t afraid to give the female characters that surround Kate (Andrea, Julie, Erra etc) some shine. Kate as a character does have some Mary-Sue/ special snowflake tendencies but it’s not so overwhelming that i start to dislike her. I never felt like the author has written Kate as being the only women in a sea of men. There are antagonistic female characters in the series that don’t feel like caricatures but Kate is also surrounded by a well written female cast that don’t feel shoehorned in.

In contrast to the Mercy Thompson series where it feels like the author doesn’t want the surrounding female side characters to shine or get glory. The only exceptional women in the room can be Mercy and every women is out to belittle her, put her down or kill her. People rightly criticize the Anita Blake series but the Mercy Thompson series is very similar. Christy is a caricature and a trope that you see utilized in this genre alot. Using the ex wife/girlfriend to uplift the heroine and her relationship with the hero. Mary Jo and Aurielle are not villains but they are antagonistic and the author seems to make them fine with Mercy one second then turn on her in another. The same with Honey. She’s wishy washy and there’s no warmth there. Her mother Margi. Evelyn her foster mother barley gets mentioned. Her step sisters. Leah. Supposedly all of the women in Aspen Creek (which i don’t believe thats possible). It’s nonsensical. I’m not against antagonistic or villainous women. In fact i like it when an author has a diverse and well written female cast but when you have a protagonist who is a woman written by a woman and she’s held up as something special by nearly all the males around her and disliked by the women, i can’t help think that this is a wish fulfillment self insert by the author.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix Netflix Drop 01 Trailer

Set in the dystopian society of Eden in 1992, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix follows Dolph Laserhawk, who has been betrayed by the love of his life and is locked up in the Supermaxx prison. Under the order of the shadowy Warden, Dolph is forced to lead a team of rebel outcasts in risky undercover missions.

According to Ubisoft, the Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix anime features "alter egos of Ubisoft characters in a highly referenced homage to the early 90s." The series is created by Adi Shankar and animated by Bobbypills Studio. The anime stars the voice talents of Nathaniel Curtis (Dolph Laserhawk), Caroline Ford (The Warden), David Menkin (Rayman - the Rayman franchise), Courtney Mae-Briggs (Jade from Beyond Good and Evil), Glenn Wrage (Pey'j from Beyond Good and Evil), Daniel York Loh (Pagan Min from Far Cry 4), "Balak" (Bullfrog - inspired by Assassin's Creed), Mark Ebulue (Marcus Holloway from Watch Dogs 2), Adi Shankar (Red from the Niji Six - inspired by Rainbow Six Siege), and Boris Hiestand (Alex Taylor, Dolph's boyfriend). The score is composed by Oscillian.
