Lol someone posted GR’s post to himself in your replies and seeing him talk about love, support, and patience is so gd funny. Love your kids by f*cking their nanny. Support your kids by talking about very private details of their lives in interviews. Show patience by screaming “I hate this fucking family” at them. Creep.
Happy Father’s Day to Pearl Lowe, Danny Goffey, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and everyone else who picked up his slack and helped heal the damage he has done to the kids that he told interviewers “ruined his life”.. I know he was ‘joking’ but if you watch it, he was not joking.

ONE OF THOSE ALBUM COVERS THAT IMMEDIATELY CAUGHT MY EYE -- I WAS A BUTTON/BADGE FREAK IN HIGH SCHOOL.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on "Supergrass Is 10: The Best of 1994-2004," a compilation album celebrating the first 10 years of the English indie/Britpop/alternative rock band SUPERGRASS. The compilation was released on CD, DVD and double 10" clear vinyl record in June (UK) and September (US), 2004.
COMPILATION OVERVIEW: "Since they had a lower profile than their peers and came across as a bunch of mates instead of serious musicians, SUPERGRASS tended to be the most overlooked of all the major Britpop bands. They never defined the culture like OASIS or BLUR, never had a following of serious-minded, clever misfits like PULP, they weren't as sexy as ELASTICA, and they surely lacked the grandiose, doomed romanticism of SUEDE. What they were, though, was a bloody brilliant pop band.
Their 1995 debut, "I Should Coco," kicked harder than any record that year, and it had a bigger stylistic sprawl than any album this side of "The Great Escape," which it trumped with a deliriously infectious enthusiasm -- and it was all the more impressive when the fact that Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey were still in their teens when they cut the album.
They matured at a rapid rate, refining their musicality with each of their next three records, but they never had center stage again like they did with "I Should Coco." As they worked outside of the spotlight, they developed into a remarkably consistent singles band, as the generous 24-track 2004 collection "Supergrass Is 10: The Best of 94-04" proves. Even their muddled eponymous third album sounds brilliant when distilled to the sweetly gorgeous "Moving" and the ridiculously intoxicating "Pumping on Your Stereo."
These tunes are thrown together in a nonchronological order that contains all the A-sides apart from the U.S. radio single "Cheapskate" and the movie soundtrack selection "We Still Need More (Than Anyone Can Give)."
Instead of being infuriating, this nonchronological sequencing reveals just how consistent SUPERGRASS had been over the decade, since it forces the listener to concentrate on each individual song. Like Green Day's hits compilation "International Superhits!," "Supergrass Is 10" is a revelation for anybody who hasn't been paying attention, since it showcases a band that is one of best, most satisfying guitar pop groups of the last 15 years. If you haven't checked them out before, you need to get this immediately."

Release: July 3, 1995
Lyrics:
We are young, we run green
Keep our teeth nice and clean
See our friends, see the sights
Feel alright
We wake up, we go out
Smoke a fag, put it out
See our friends, see the sights
Feel alright
Are we like you?
I can't be sure
Of the scene, as she turns
We are strange, in our worlds
But we are young, we get by
Can't go mad, ain't got time
Sleep around if we like
But we're alright
Got some cash, bought some wheels
Took it out 'cross the fields
Lost control, hit a wall
But we're alright
Are we like you?
I can't be sure
Of the scene, as she turns
We are strange, in our worlds
But we are young, we run green
Keep our teeth nice and clean
See our friends, see the sights
Feel alright
Are we like you?
I can't be sure
Of the scene, as she turns
We are strange, in our worlds
Songwriter:
But we are young, we run green
Keep our teeth nice and clean
See our friends, see the sights
Feel alright
Daniel Goffey / David N Yazbek / Gareth Coombes / Michael Quinn
SongFacts:
"Alright" is a song by British alternative rock band Supergrass. It was released with "Time" as a double A-side single from their debut album, 'I Should Coco' (1995), on 3 July 1995. It was concurrently released on the soundtrack of the 1995 movie Clueless, which helped it become a big hit for the band. It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, number six in Iceland, number eight in Ireland, number 30 in France and number 96 in Australia.
"Alright" received a great deal of airplay in the United Kingdom. The "bona fide teen anthem", with its upbeat lyrics and cheerful piano tune, seemed to epitomise British youth culture at the time, when Britpop was at its height. The band's youthful appearance (lead singer Gaz Coombes had only just turned 19 when it was released) added weight to the lyrics.
However, Coombes himself argued in an interview around October 1995, "it wasn't written as an anthem. It isn't supposed to be a rally cry for our generation. The stuff about 'We are young/We run green…' isn't about being 19, but really 13 or 14. and just discovering girls and drinking."
"It's meant to be light hearted and a bit of a laugh, not at all a rebellious call to arms." with Danny Goffey also saying: "It certainly wasn't written in a very summery vibe. It was written in a cottage where the heating had packed up, and we were trying to build fires to keep warm."

Hey music lovers! 🎵 If you're looking to spice up your playlist, look no further than the incredible band, Supergrass! 🚀 Follow me for more musical journeys like this!
Hailing from Oxford, England, Supergrass burst onto the Britpop scene in the early '90s. Formed by school friends Gaz Coombes, Danny Goffey, and Mick Quinn, their chemistry was undeniable from the start.
Ever wonder how they came up with "Supergrass"? 🌱 Rumor has it, they found it in the Supergrass song "Caught by the Fuzz." A name as catchy as their tunes!
These lads rocked the charts with hits like "Alright," "Pumping on Your Stereo," and "Moving." Their energy on stage was electric, and their albums were instant classics.
Supergrass blended punk, rock, and a dash of pop, creating a sound that was uniquely theirs. Infectious hooks and unforgettable melodies – they had it all!
Did you know that they once played on top of the Eiffel Tower?! Talk about taking your music to new heights! 🗼🎶
"Alright": This anthem of youthful exuberance is about finding joy in life's simple moments. "We are young, we run green, keep our teeth nice and clean" – a reminder to embrace the carefree spirit within us.
"Alright" was featured on their debut album, "I Should Coco," which catapulted them to stardom. It went platinum in the UK and forever etched Supergrass in music history.
Supergrass embarked on solo projects for a while, but in 2019, they reunited for a tour. Fans rejoiced, and the magic was back!
📢 Follow me for more musical tales like this one! 🎶 Let's celebrate the incredible journey of Supergrass!

Supergrass Deluxe Edition Supergrass (BMG/ Echo) (released in 1999, reissue released in 2022)
Monday was certainly Supergrass Day around AheadByEcho HQ, I just forgot this! As I was leaving to meet a friend for some beers and burgers, AmazonMan was coming up the walkway. I had forgotten this two CD deluxe edition even existed. It was an import only and the cost was more than I wanted to spend when it originally came out. When I discovered amazon had it for all of $14 I couldn't resist. I don't buy much from amazon any longer for various reasons, but on occasion I find something worth my time.
Above you see the album cover followed by three gatefolds! The first shows what it looks like when you first open it up. That's bass player Mick Quinn in specs on the left and a variety of photos on the right. The second is the trifold-gatefold completely opened up with the CDs in place. Taking the CDs out, you see the rest of the band, guitarist Gaz Coombes and drummer Danny Goffey. The final picture is the back of the CD.
Below are the hype sticker in close up followed by the album cover sans the hype sticker. I didn't expect the band's name / title to remain on the cover since the LP and original CD both lack a title on the cover.

The booklet can be seen below, front and back.

The CDs follow below. The first disc is the album proper while the second disc contains 20 bonus tracks consisting of singles, B-Sides, demos and live tracks.

The final shot is the last pages in the booklet. I did my best version of trying to reenact this all evening last night.

Pearl Lowe: My ADHD diagnosis gave me a new perspective on addiction
Tumblr media
Pearl Lowe: My ADHD diagnosis gave me a new perspective on addiction Pearl Lowe: My ADHD diagnosis gave me a new perspective on addiction Meta-description: Pearl Lowe reflects on how being diagnosed with ADHD gave her a new understanding of addiction and how it relates to the neurodivergent community. Introduction Pearl Lowe, the British fashion and textiles designer, mother, and wife of Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, is no stranger to overcoming challenges. In recent years, she has been vocal about her struggles with addiction, which she now sees in a new light since her diagnosis with ADHD. In this article, we explore Pearl Lowe's journey with addiction, her ADHD diagnosis, and the new perspective it has given her. Pearl Lowe's Addiction Struggles Pearl Lowe's addiction struggles began when she was a teenager in the 1980s and became increasingly involved in London's club scene. As she told The Guardian in 2020, her early drug use quickly spiraled out of control and started to affect her personal and professional life. "I was in a really dark place," she said. "I wasn't being creative. I wasn't doing anything really except partying all the time. I was lost." Despite several attempts to get sober, Lowe struggled with addiction for years, even as she built a successful career in fashion and textiles. It wasn't until 2009, when she quit alcohol, that she was finally able to get clean and stay that way. Pearl Lowe's ADHD Diagnosis Lowe's journey with addiction took on new meaning in 2020 when she was diagnosed with ADHD. As she wrote in a column for the Sunday Times, the diagnosis explained a lot about her past struggles with addiction and helped her understand her brain in a new way. "I started reading up on ADHD and realized it affects every aspect of your life," she wrote. "It helped me understand why I struggled with addiction for so long and why I had always been so disorganized." Since her diagnosis, Lowe has been open about how it has changed her life. She now takes medication to manage her symptoms and has become an advocate for ADHD awareness, particularly for women who often go undiagnosed. The Link between ADHD and Addiction For many people, including Lowe, the link between ADHD and addiction is a complex one. One theory is that individuals with ADHD may be more prone to impulsivity, which can lead to risky behaviors like substance abuse. Another hypothesis is that individuals with ADHD may use drugs or alcohol to self-medicate their symptoms and help them focus. While this may provide temporary relief, it can also lead to addiction and other negative health outcomes. Studies have shown that people with ADHD are at a higher risk of developing substance abuse disorders than the general population. However, with proper treatment and support, it is possible to manage both conditions and achieve a sustainable recovery. FAQs about ADHD and Addiction Q: Can ADHD be a gateway to addiction? A: While having ADHD itself does not cause addiction, individuals with ADHD may be more prone to developing substance abuse disorders due to impulsivity and difficulties with self-regulation. Q: How common is it for people with ADHD to struggle with addiction? A: Studies have shown that people with ADHD are at a higher risk of developing substance abuse disorders than the general population, but not all people with ADHD will struggle with addiction. Q: Can medication for ADHD help with addiction? A: Some studies have shown that medication for ADHD can help with addiction by reducing impulsivity and improving cognitive function. However, medication alone is not a cure for addiction and should be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment. Q: Is it possible to have ADHD and not realize it? A: Yes, it is possible to have ADHD and not realize it, especially for women and individuals with less severe symptoms. ADHD often goes undiagnosed and untreated, which can lead to a range of negative outcomes including addiction. Q: What are some common misconceptions about ADHD and addiction? A: One common misconception is that people with ADHD are weak-willed or lack self-discipline, which is not true. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects the brain's executive functioning and can lead to difficulties with impulse control and decision-making. Q: How can family and friends support someone with ADHD and addiction? A: Family and friends can support someone with ADHD and addiction by providing emotional support and understanding, helping them access treatment and resources, and encouraging them to seek professional help. Conclusion Pearl Lowe's journey with addiction and her recent ADHD diagnosis offers a new perspective on the complex relationship between these two conditions. It highlights the importance of understanding the underlying factors that can contribute to addiction and the need for effective treatment and support. By sharing her story and becoming an advocate for ADHD awareness, Lowe is helping to break down stigmas and promote greater understanding of these conditions. Supergrass, 3.4.2003, Praha, Palác Akropolis
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jste v České republice a v Praze poprvé.
D: Je to poblíž toho náměstí ... Umlek (Ungelt) ... R: Jo. D: Byla to paráda, co? R: Jo. D: Bob a Margaret? R: Byli to Bob a Margaret.
Já fakt nevím, co to tady povídám.... A my to máme stejně.
R: Jo. Odráží to šíři našich zájmů.
O dva roky později Supergrass vydali album s názvem In It for The Money, které potvrdilo jejich místo mezi nejvýraznějšími britskými objevy.
R: Fakt?
Měli jste někdy naopak úspěch, aniž byste to očekávali?
D: Jo. Chlastáme a kouříme, abysme vypadali cool. No, vlastně nesnáším, když někdo chlastá a pije, aby vypadal cool.
Tu a tam bych taky rád něco takového udělal.
A co peníze? Vaše album z roku 1997 jste pojmenovali In It For The Money.
Neprodáváme písničky do reklam, tohle fakt neděláme. Šli bychom do toho možná, jenom kdybychom neměli na jídlo. Peníze vyděláváme třeba proto, abysme mohli jezdit na turné a dělat, co nás baví. Já jsem momentálně dost v mínusu.... Ale kašlu na to. „Sázky“ (gambling) nejsou zrovna moje nejsilnější stránka. R: No, něco jsme prodali. Já bych kvůli své rodině klidně vykradl i banku.
A teď ještě otázka vztahující se k albu Life On Other Planets. Label Island Records vám ji chtěl věnovat a tím tomuhle albu vzdát hold. Chtěli byste mít svoji vlastní hvězdu?
D: Jo, to by bylo fantastický. Jednoho dne bych tam mohl odcestovat, zabrat si ji, odvézt tam všechny lidi a žít tam. R: Jo a mohl bys tam ustavit ženskou vládu.
U pražského publika pohotově zafungovala např. hitovka Pumpin On Your Stereo, u níž nechybělo ani kytarové sólíčko v závěru, ale snad ještě více zapůsobila věc s názvem Sun Hits The Sky.
Supergrass: Gaz Coombes (guitar, lead vocals), Danny Goffey (drums, vocals) Mick Quinn (bass, vocals), Rob Coombes (keyboards)
