Dal 2020, da MPEG-2 a MPEG-4

Dal 1° gennaio 2020 tutti i canali DTT hanno iniziato ad abbandonare lo standard di codifica MPEG-2, per abbracciare invece l’MPEG-4, inizialmente utilizzato soltanto dai canali HD. Questo vuol dire, dunque, che tutti i televisori senza supporto MPEG-4 devono essere sostituiti o, in alternativa, devono essere affiancati da un nuovo decoder, anche da pochi euro, in grado di ricevere i segnali con la nuova codifica.

Come faccio a sapere se devo cambiare TV?

Fortunatamente, è possibile accorgersi in pochi istanti se il proprio televisore è in grado di resistere al passaggio da MPEG-2 a MPEG-4. Per farlo è accendere l’attuale TV e accedere ad un canale HD, come il canale 501 o 505, rispettivamente, Rai Uno HD e Canale 5 HD.

Se il vostro TV è in grado di riprodurre questi canali, sia audio che video, allora non dovrete cambiarlo, e sarà pronto al passaggio di codifica.

In caso contrario, qualora l’attuale TV riesca a riprodurre solo l’audio del canale HD, ma non anche il video, allora vorrà dire che non gode del supporto MPEG-4. In questo caso, come già suggerito in precedenza, si dovrà cambiare il televisore o, in alternativa, acquistare un decoder a parte, in grado di supportare il nuovo formato.

Quali sono le date del passaggio ad MPEG-4?

Tra il primo settembre e il 31 Dicembre 2021 nell’area 1 che comprende Emilia-Romagna, Veneto e Friuli-Venezia Giulia e nell’area 3 che comprende Piemonte, Val d’Aosta, Lombardia e Trentino-Alto Adige

tra il primo gennaio e il 31 marzo 2022 nell’area due che comprende Liguria, Toscana, Umbria, Lazio, Campania e Sardegna. ,

tra il primo aprile e il 20 giugno 2022 nell’area 4 che comprende Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria e Sicilia.

Nuovo switch-off posticipato al 2023

Ancor più importante, invece, l’adozione delle nuove tecnologie previste per il 2023 (prima per il 2022). Ed infatti, il passaggio da MPEG-2 a MPEG-4 sopra descritto sarà solo il primo step verso l’adozione di una transizione definitiva, che porterà all’adozione di due nuove tecnologie di trasmissione, ossia gli standard HEVC e DVB-T2, che andrà a sostituire l’attuale standard DVB-T.

L’attivazione del DVBT-2 per tutte le reti nazionali e locali era prevista nel periodo 21 giugno 2022 – 30 giugno 2022, come da regolamento pubblicato sulla Gazzetta Ufficiale, ma adesso è tutto slittato “a partire dal 1 gennaio 2023”.

Il passaggio a DVB-T2 ed HEVC avrà la funzione di incrementare a qualità di trasmissione del 50% rispetto al passato, anche per una maggior stabilità del segnale, che reggerà meglio eventuali interferenze. Il tutto, naturalmente, con una ridotta occupazione della banda.

Devo cambiare TV nel 2023?

Se per il 2021 basta sintonizzare la propria TV su un canale HD per sapere se cambiare TV o meno, le verifiche necessarie per sapere se la propria TV supporta DVB-T2 ed HEVC sono ancora più semplici: basta sintonizzare il proprio TV sul canale 100 o sul canale 200 del digitale terrestre e verificare se appare o meno la scritta TEST HVC Main 10 come qui sotto.

ATTENZIONE: se è vero che la visione di questi canali vi fa stare tranquilli anche dopo lo switch-off del 2023, la NON visione non comporta che dovrete necessariamente cambiare TV. Alcuni televisori che non vedono il canale 100 e 200, continueranno a funzionare anche dopo l’introduzione del DVB-T2. Questo finché non partiranno le trasmissioni HEVC Main10 e, al momento, non vi è al momento obbligo in tal senso per chi trasmette.

Questo vuol dire che tutte le TV DVB-T2 non HEVC, oltre a quelle con supportoDVB-T2 HEVC non Main10 continueranno a funzionare anche dopo lo switch off del primo gennaio 2023. Sempre che questa data sarà veramente rispettata. […]

L'8 Marzo scorso per le regioni italiane è arrivato lo "Switch-Off" che ha portato il nuovo standard dei decoder DVB-T2 segnando, quindi, una vera e propria rivoluzione per il digitale terrestre. DVB-T2, un necessario ripasso Prima di parlare della data dell'8 Marzo, meglio fare un po' di ripasso sul nuovo digitale terrestre. Nuova TV digitale terrestre DVB-T2 “Bonus nu Bonus TV”

A partire da questo mese di settembre 2021, il nuovo standard TV DVB-T2 sostituirà lo standard attuale della TV digitale terrestre DVB-T che è stato adottato in questi ultimi dieci anni in sostituzione della TV analogica, e che viene appunto sostituita da questo nuovo standard TV DVB-T2. Da questo mese con lo standard DVB-T2 la codifica sarà nel formato MPEG-4 canali in HD, e poi dalla seconda metà del 2022 fino alla fine del 2022 quando si concluderà lo Switch Off dello standard DVB-T, si passerà al formato di codifica H.265 o HEVC sempre in HD. Tutto questo è stato programmato per far sì che la chiusura dello standard DVB-T lasci libere le frequenze occupate per favorire l’utilizzo e lo sviluppo della tecnologia delle telecomunicazioni 5G per la trasmissione a barda larga wireless della rete sui dispositivi mobili.

Come è successo dieci anni fa per la Tv analogica, anche in questo caso lo Switch Off della TV digitale DVB-T avverrà in tempi diversi per le varie regioni d’Italia, e sarà necessario dotarsi per chi non c’è l’ha ancora, di una TV con standard DVB-T2.

Chi ha acquistato una TV da gennaio 2017 in poi, non dovrebbe avere nessun problema per la prima fase di transizione al nuovo standard DVB-T2 (codifica MPEG-4) che avverrà da questo mese di settembre. Mentre non avranno nessun problema le TV acquistate da dicembre 2018 in poi che invece sono già compatibili con il nuovo standard TV sia per la prima fase di transizione al nuovo standard DVD-T2 (codifica MPEG-4), che per la seconda fase di transizione che avverrà da giugno a dicembre 2022 (codifica H.265 o HEVC).

Fatta questa premessa tecnologica e chiarito la parte del passaggio al nuovo standard televisivo DVB-T2, veniamo a noi… cioè la parte che riguarda il Bonus nu Bonus TV per fronteggiare ed agevolare l’acquisto di una nuova TV con tecnologia DVB-T2 o dispositivi simili compatibili (decoder)!

Lo Stato aveva previsto in un primo momento (alla fine del 2019) un bonus di 50 euro per concorrere all’acquisto di una TV di nuova generazione o un decoder compatibile con il nuovo standard TV DVB-T2. Bonus ma non per tutti…. ma solo per determinate categorie che avevano un ISEE fino a 20 mila euro! Così com’è stato concepito all’inizio il Bonus TV, sarebbe stato un vero atto discriminatorio, visto che tutti ormai paghiamo il canone tv nella bolletta elettrica, indipendentemente se si è ricchi o poveri!

Traditionally, all new models from the leaders of the household appliances segment cause an increased interest among consumers and experts.
