There's a few other small issues, but no more than DR2 had/has. Still, looks great and in it's own way is on a par with DR2. Graphics wise DR2 is a little smoother and "painterly", WRC 8 is sharper and a little toon like sometimes, with a few graphical glitches. Career mode is quite deep if that's your thing. The challenges are a great mini game in themselves, start to get hard about #16 or so. Weather customization is much better than DR2 Much better training system than DR2's tiny Dirt Fish level. The training areas are great, you can do them individually or just hoon around the whole training level. It's 20GB vs 100GB, with more than enough cars. Cars feel great, weighty and slide well with great audio I uninstalled WRC 8 eventually bc DR 2 was so much better here. They've fixed the atrocious WRC 8 gamepad control/feedback issues. I think WRC 9 is better than DR 2 now for a number of reasons (WRC 8 was worse fwiw): I'll decide, when I have the money to buy it which I don't now :-) I already have a key website where I can get the game for £17 odd quid (UK Pounds) and I have the offer of a discount because of the £10 coupon from Epic Games and another £4 also but I don't know why which means I could buy it from Epic for £26 quid. 9 Seems like WRC 8 and a half rather than 9 I kinda missed all the extras like with the ease of use of upgrading the cars and the points earned etc from DR 2.0 I felt quite 'alone' when playing it WRC 8.īoth those reviews were pretty much as you'd expect and didn't make me want to get 9 either.
#Dirt rally 2 or wrc 9 how to#
I couldn't even work out how to add team members and the rest was just about as confusing as it could be and for me was way too tedious.Īs it was I was so involved with DR.2.0 I just dropped WRC 8 and as we now have the option to get WRC 9 I'm in two minds if I want to go back to the same identical issues with no particular advancements enough to draw me in. I bought WRC 8 on release and although it was OK I got to the career and the UI is dreadful. the interface does look literally identical.ġ6 countries straight up? Damn, CM take notice please. This one comes from a Dirt Rally background: And of course its career mode was much deeper than DR2's.īut at the same time a tonne of things were way worse in my eyes, such as the overall graphical quality, the sound everywhere, the control on a gamepad, the jokey crash physics, and the way it was both super claustrophobic and super polygony as soon as you got 2 metres off-track, whereas DR2 lets you really mess about with a lot of freedom.Ī couple of random small-name reviews I grabbed. WRC8 also had many more rally stages at first, out of the box (while admittedly no RX at all). I remember the stage layouts were vastly superior to DR2, in terms of both visual and geometrical diversity. Opinions on WRC 8 seemed to divide pretty sharply. So I noticed that WRC 9 dropped recently.

Dirt rally 2 or wrc 9
Tumblr media
The clear winner in this category for me is WRC 9. Rather than floating on the surface, the cars are at one with the surface, allowing you to feel every camber, crest, bump and jump. The cars have a much more consistent feel, making the cars much more predictable and fun. WRC 9 is so much more satisfying on tarmac. Cars can switch from ridiculous oversteer to agonising understeer from corner to corner. It makes cars feel incredibly unbalanced and setup changes don’t really seem to have much effect on the feel. It is very obvious that the tarmac physics in DiRT is simply the gravel physics with the grip turned up. However, where WRC 9 really outshines DiRT is on the tarmac stages. The contact model is a little less strong than DiRT, with some landings on jumps feeling very soft. WRC 9 also has very strong physics, with many surface changes and rocks in the stage that have a real effect on the feel and force feedback. Similarly, the contact physics in the game make elements of the stages, such as bumps and jumps, feel more relevant in the stage. The stages feel great, with the force feedback system allowing for a great feel for the stages through the wheel. Both of these games have strengths and weaknesses in their physics engine.ĭiRT Rally 2.0 has a very strong gravel physics system. This battle is a closely fought contest and fully depends on your personal preferences. If you do have any thoughts, let me know in the comments below! Remember, this is all my opinion, you may feel differently about these titles to me. The genre finally had a direct competitor to the DiRT Rally series.īut which one is my favourite? I’ve broken down this comparison into 6 categories. The sound quality was poor, the stages were lifeless, and the physics were arguably worse than the previous games.įast forward five years, WRC 9 has just been released and you wouldn’t believe that this game was made by the same people. The physics were more in tune with real rally driving, the stages were longer and more difficult, the car selection was strong and the sound and visual quality was great.Īt the same time, the WRC games were lacklustre. The release of the first DiRT Rally game in 2015 shifted the market for rally games. Infected mode on Dirt 3 was amazing though (bring that back Codemasters!). Neither game really captured what it was like to power through difficult rally stages. By no means were these bad games, but they were very arcade focussed. In the early part of the last decade, the best rally games we had out there were the early DiRT games and the Milestone WRC games. In recent years, the pool of rally games has improved vastly. So naturally, the rally-focussed gaming titles are the ones I gravitate towards. As many of you may know, rallying is my favourite motorsport.

How do you play 2 player on project cars ps4?.
#Wrc 9 xbox one Pc
WRC 10 is available now for PC and all major game consoles including Xbox One and Series X/S, Playstation 4/5, and Nintendo Switch. Or, if having legit WRC ties isn't as important as enjoying a rally experience with better physics, pace notes, and historic vehicles, DiRT Rally 2.0 is still the superior title. If you're looking to step into a WRC game, scoring the older title at a lower price would likely suit many gamers just fine. If you already have WRC 9, it's hard to justify paying extra for more of the same in WRC 10. We also suspect tugging at heartstrings with Subaru and Mitsubishi content then not offering either in the base game will upset many fans. Adding 2021 stages and historic content in a WRC 9 DLC pack would've been just fine, but alas, that's not where the money lies. However, the format is the same as WRC 9 so it doesn't feel like a new game. It's not perfect, but rally fans seeking an immersive WRC experience will appreciate all it has to offer. That's pretty telling right there.Īll that said, WRC 10 is a good game at the core. With WRC 9 humming, we actually spent an afternoon having fun with the old title instead of the new one. Framerate issues also cropped up from time to time during gameplay, which we checked against WRC 9 to ensure it wasn't an Xbox problem. Sadly, all the above criticisms were present in WRC 9 on Xbox, and from our perspective, they went untouched for WRC 10. This comes across as an arcade-flavored throwback to older, less accomplished WRC titles, and it clashes with the authenticity the current title is trying to establish. KT Racing, just list the stats in actual units such as kilograms, inches, degrees, and so on like so many other racing titles. I'll firm up the front springs to 25000, and shock compression to 3000.
#Wrc 9 xbox one trial
As such, tuning the car becomes a very frustrating, time-consuming endeavor of pure trial and error. ⠀ Monster Truck Championship Review: Silly Good Fun While It LastsĪdjusting settings on the car can help with that, but the advanced interface shows random numbers without context for what they mean. We can only assume some sort of licensing issue is at play, though that doesn't explain why the available Subie and Mitsi aren't included in the standard game. And there were certainly more Subarus and Mitsubishis competing in the WRC than just single iterations of the WRX and Evo. With Subaru and Mitsubishi dominating the rally scene for over a decade, bragging about the manufacturers being in WRC 10 then not having either in the standard game feels like a major bait and switch.Īs for other historics, we're grateful for the Toyota Celica but you still won't find properly classic Fords like the Sierra Cosworth, Escort, or the RS200. Whether it shows up later is unknown, but alas, you can at least enjoy the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V, right? Sure, if you buy the more expensive deluxe version of WRC 10, which also adds an extra rally stage and a starter pack to help your career mode early on. These brands were conspicuously absent in WRC 9, but here's where we have a serious bone to pick with WRC 10.Ĭolin McRae's 1997 WRX is available, but only for those who preordered the game and that ship has now sailed. You'll also find more historical cars to enjoy, including entries from Subaru and Mitsubishi. Spectators also get very close to the road for some classic stages, harking back to the daredevils of the Group B era. The stages are period-correct as well, with billboards showing era-appropriate ads should you have a fleeting moment to take your eyes off the road. Aside from running through 19 classic rallies in History Mode, you can jump right into a plethora of historic stages, with Acropolis and San Remo being arguably the best of the bunch. Nacon and KT Racing studio would point to WRC 10's extra content, focusing on the history of the World Rally Championship. But the million-dollar question is this: If WRC 10 merely equals WRC 9, why buy the new one? More Cars, More Tracks It looks as good as the old game too, and these are all good things because WRC 9 was a major step forward for the franchise. It didn't take long to learn WRC 10 is a match for WRC 9 where it counts, offering a smile-inducing driving experience that isn't quite as hardcore as DiRT Rally 2.0. As before, we sampled the newest iteration on the Xbox One X playing through a 4k HDR television, racing with a modified Logitech G920 force-feedback wheel. It was easily the best WRC-branded game of them all, so admittedly, WRC 10 has a high bar to meet. We have a bit of experience in this area, as we reviewed WRC 9 in September 2020.

Most Realistic Racing Games on Playstation
Realistic games are the salt and pepper when it comes to car and motorcycle racing, and when it comes to PlayStation graphics and realism reach maximum heights. Driving around in motorbikes and supercars in an intense tournament could ignite the spirit. Fans of realistic racing games know what I'm talking about, you can't miss games like Forza Horizont 5 or F1 22. There are many great racing games available, However, these examples are the most real. The thrill of driving through big cities in superfast cars is a dream for many players. Game developers have set out on them to recreate for themselves the thrill of sports cars and muscle cars to create an exciting and enjoyable experience for all of all different ages. The racing games provide gamers with a realistic simulation of how they put their foot on the floor on tracks that be awe-inspiring and test the boundaries of speed. Realistic car games include hundreds of sports cars that can be driven at high speed on rallies and tracks across the globe. Users can connect their controllers, and take their vehicles for a test drive to take on some of the top racers and eventually become the top on circuits across the globe. Here's a look at real-life racing simulators accessible to play.
WRC 10
Some of the most famous cars from the past are at the same time included for those who wish to know the way older cars felt when they navigate those historical tracks. If you already have WRC 9, it's hard to justify spending more money for an upgrade to WRC 10. For me, the most valuable thing is the driving adventure, I don't focus on the visuals so long as it is enjoyable to drive.
Tumblr media
WRC 10 certainly is the latest entry to the annual official World Rally Championship games. After every racing, the video game title respects the ball player's time by quickly getting back into the lobby. WRC 10's old-school crowds are not nearly as large as they certainly were in the days of Group B bedlam however they include a handful of people who've always wanted to get killed by a rally car. Instead, the videogame waited until the end to give video game players an option to choose between one rest event as well as three maintenance events. It's a great opponent for DiRT Rally.
As opposed to career mode, you only want to focus on driving. If you want to go the direct route then you could race the ghost cars as high as seven others in real-time. Even going back to your menu or team garage will take around 3 times longer using the same SSD when compared to WRC 9. When the assist is off, playing does not require any significant skills from the player. To relax and play the second rally you need to beat the first, that's perfect. If you've missed WRC 9, you might be pleased with picking that for less.
WRC 10 is a safe entry, celebrating the rich, long tradition of the World Rally Championship while making sure to not damage the things that were working well. Hopefully, that's something that KT Racing will patch in. The most striking aspects of the graphics include the sunlight shining through the trees or the reflections of light off nearby water puddles, or how your headlights cut a narrow beam of light through the pitch black night stages. In this way, WRC 10 is a fast, fun, and impressively deep rally title. 0 is equally vulnerable to heavy rain, but even in the cockpit view, you'll navigate better.
Tumblr media
The loading times are higher than in previous years and there is not a clear cause for it. I gave up dialing in the FFB and settled for a dull asphalt instead of exaggerated rattling on dirt roads. Some of Dirt Rally 2. 2021 marks the official start of the 49th season of the World Rally Championship, making WRC 10's 50th-anniversary content… The improvements in driving mechanics are apparent and well implemented to provide an enjoyable and enjoyable adventure. Within the next few days we'll be running our "game titles That didn't Make It" series in which we finally get around to reviewing video game titles that were released in 2021 that, due to various reasons, we're able to not get around to covering in time. If you're a WRC fan There are other notable rally games in the marketplace, but this is the official one.
Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon has not so much gained ground since it's already completed the race and is now in the free space to play. it is the first occasion the Forza Horizon music track felt unfamiliar if you ask me, as I did not know a number of the featured artists. The story is utter cringe but the characters are San Franciso bicycle cycling urbanites pretending to get car enthusiasts. To comprehend how massive Forza Horizon 5 is, we have to briefly review Forza Horizon 4 which has truly expanded into a downright colossus of a vehicle racing game back in 2018. The entire changes to gameplay aren't quite as radical as previous games However, when the community gets hands-on EventLab it will provide an ongoing, new stream of racing content.
Tumblr media
It did not sink into my situation until I was playing Horizon 4, a video game title that was set in my own country, which subsequently spoke to me; every tiny detail and winking reference was understood. Burnout Paradise showed the promise of open-world racing in 2008 but, for whatever reason, EA seldom followed it. Its LEGO expansion, in place of making people instantly gravitate towards the fastest number of cars when you look at the enormous vehicle roster, Horizon 5 Hot Wheels accomplishes the opposite. Then there's artificial intelligence. There is an entire Nordstrom in Forza Horizon 5, allowing video game players to dress their avatars with, according to my count hundreds of pants, clothes, shirts, and accessories in every manner, plus dances along with other emotions.
In addition to the engine sounds, other sounds elevate the adventure that is present in Horizon 5. Alex started his career in games media as an over-eager kid taking care of fan websites and has accumulated decades of expertise. This might be a hardcore lineage to stand as much as however Horizon 5 draws all of that past and experiences and runs with it, incrementally upgrading this series into must-play brilliance. you drive off cliffs and then travel through the lush, swampy jungle before coming to the Horizon festival. It's equally a very accessible and accessible collection of racing entertainment accessible to all, including Deluxe Edition diehards to video game title Pass nomads, regardless of their car skills or mechanical knowledge.
Tumblr media
The result is an impressive map - together with the biggest on the series to date by a striking margin. At the beginning of my Forza Horizon 5 adventure, I lost all control. Playground's exclusive series obtains an enthralling new environment but otherwise remains focused on making improvements to an already successful fix. The playground has pulled off an amazing tightrope walk between structure and player freedom here. The few examples currently available, developed and shared by the Playground Games team, certainly demonstrate the flexibleness associated with the system, such as turning an endurance race in the late game into a mini-video game of popping pinatas.
The other aspects covering the gameplay loop similar to the regular races, moreover remain slow - the AI is the same but it's somewhat rubber-bandy. What about the racing games that aren't able to compete when you look at the big show events? Forza Horizon 5 is the latest installment in the upswing for the series, offering an open-world racing experience that is unlike any other. It's in line with everything else, which is like having the developer Playground videogames cranking everything up to eleven or twelve, given the previous game felt want it was breaking the dial for volume. The problem is that these licensed vehicles mean that Forza Horizon 5 could disappear from online marketplaces within a couple of years, when the licenses for cars expire, much like what we experienced with Forza Horizon, Forza Horizon 2, and Forza Horizon 3 The issue is a video game titles preservation issue which should be addressed and is one of the reasons I like non-licensed vehicle racing games that endure the test of time, like Burnout Paradise and Split/Second.
MotoGP 22
That is the point where the career mode's great manager mode comes into play. Among the smoothest cycling simulations I have ever played, MotoGP 22 will please both series veterans and newcomers eager to understand the intricate mechanics in the sim. MotoGP22 could be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Xbox Series XS, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. You might play in the professional Grand Prix mode if you want to simulate racing. MotoGP 22 has any additions. The racing physics are incredible, leaning into a corner and slowly steering yourself on that race track is incredibly satisfying, particularly when you've mastered the technique of the stronger bikes.
Tumblr media
Plus the Nine Season narrative mode, Moto GP 22 moreover includes every rider, bike, and circuit from this year's season that you may race in the non-career single-player modes. Additionally, the 2009 season was a good one to test after having participated in MotoGP 08. There are reams of details and menus to explore If you are a huge fan of motorcycles or MotoGP generally. You should be acquainted because of the way the bikes work and how they handle; in the real world driving a bike is an entirely different experience from driving an automobile. In the same way as the previous model, Milestone's latest licensed MotoGP 22 sim is - in a summary - an excellent effort.
Sometimes I happened to be punished when I was only two centimeters off the track, however other times it had been great to just skip a corner and go straight through the grass. drop an excellent MotoGP game for us to play; their third great vehicle racing game in the last couple of months following Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 5 and MXGP 2021. After a lazy episode just last year, MotoGP 22 returns in great shape. The video game title suggests that you make it easier when a participant is unable to complete a task or falls off their bike. The challenges focus on the use of tires, electronics as well as brake temperature and the distinctions between the 3 categories of MotoGP: MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3.
Tumblr media
Of course, the main point of MotoGP 22 is that it is designed to be tough, requiring video game players to understand every turn and brake during the perfect time. MotoGP 22 would be an undeniable punch with pre-existing fans from the series. Other modes that carry over for 2022 are single championships grand Prix, a single championship, and a time trial. Beginning as a rookie in Moto3, navigating a sea of exuberant Spanish teenagers riding light, forgiving 250cc bikes. Nine Season mode, with the quality of the cutscenes as well as the way actual life footage is effortlessly integrated into the gameplay rendering it an incredibly enjoyable experience.
Tumblr media
The MotoGP Academy will teach you how exactly to improve your riding style to become invincible on every race track, revealing the secrets to every corner and obstacle that you face on your calendar. Nine is the most exciting new feature in MotoGP 22. With five graphic editors, you'll be able to modify every part of the looks of the entire race including the ads on the motorcycles to pilot suits. During my time with our MotoGP 22 review, I discovered myself becoming more and more frustrated at the seemingly over-aggressive AI that would constantly ram into me from behind and slam into my rear when crashing into corners.
RIDE 4
Every one of the plethoras of bikes handles differently and can be a joy to master if you take the right duration. On that note, I've got been frustrated by the system that gives you a penalty for each time you are off track. The video game title crashes on every occasion with "Failed to find shader map for normal material" While playing Ride 4 a previous couple of weeks, I've noticed some texture pop in during gameplay. If you're used to similar racing simulations, then this one should appear fairly standard. The physics are typically improved, though still discover issues with collision.
Tumblr media
Alongside all this comes a host of modes to partake in. Ride 4 is a vehicle racing game title made just for racers. However, MotoGP 21's requirement to control these items as you race, by adjusting your pace and the electronic systems ensures it is more real and involving. 1st person view with headphones directed up to max, dual sense controllers with haptics, and butt-kicker on the rig. The video game title offered the same general gameplay experience but was designed for the modern platform. It's imperative to keep in mind that the profession does feature other special events too as well as bonuses for when you ride the bike of a specific manufacturer.
I sense just as if the goal was to make it approachable, as in the case of a moving motorcycle museum in place of planning to be an actual simulator. In addition to a specific objective all videogames may be played from the motorcycle, and there's a wide selection of options to pick from. The simulation's appeal is amplified by DualSense's Haptic Feedback having the slight feeling of bumping corners or the smack of bikes, with the microphone adding the squealing, crashing sound of wheels that are off the track. I. Although it's not as bad as the one I recently played however the AI often appears to not react to the presence of the rider at the surface.
Instead, Ubisoft made a game title that used an entire scene from the United States and shrunk it down to provide a full-on racing video game title experience. All manufacturers, accessory suppliers' names, track sponsors, brands, and other imagery featured in this video game are trademarks, copyrighted, or materials of their respective owners. It's true, Ride 4 was originally released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4, and Sony PlayStation 4 on the 8th of October However, the company has since followed with an upgraded and upgraded version of the next-gen consoles. However, you will soon master the mechanics and be able to take your bike through various obstacles, jumps, and obstacles because of the various types of terrain.
Tumblr media
Show your riding skills by taking on challenging races, endurance tests, race days, and a massive range of other instances. The first hint that this was going to be a challenge was in ab muscles beginning Time Trial when I was handed a bike and sent out to see what it could do. What's the most realistic motorbike video game? It felt like Criterion NFS game titles that I struggle to turn the automobile, that I hated it. The other game title's graphics are decent enough, though somewhat dry for my tastes however, the real-world bikes are reproduced in breathtaking detail. RIDE 4 is much finer than earlier entries in the franchise however it could be improved finer with some tweaks.
F1 22
07 in my team mode, after five races, We have encountered ZERO Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car even though there were some incidents in the race. The inclusion of supercars makes an element of fun alongside the usual boasts like race weekends and a practically unchanged career mode. Technically stunning… It now includes three entry points one that lets you begin as the top team in the world and then challenge you to maintain your position. When it comes to the first time, F1 automobiles sense like the rockets with 900hp they are, and, when all the driving assistance is removed, getting an impressive lap may be challenging.
Tumblr media
Wheel-to-wheel racing is intense and satisfying. develop a team and take them about the front of the entire pack with new depth and variety in the highly-acclaimed My Team career mode, racing head-to-head in split-screen mode, Two-Player Career, or perhaps in multiplayer, or alter the pace by bringing supercars from a number of the top names in the sport on the track with our brand-new Pirelli Hot Laps feature. Whether you replace the real drivers and become a well-established constructor or join the race with your team, the career modes are the real meat of the videogame, allowing you to dive into the details.
Pros: autos feel thrillingly, and authentically, different to experience. F1 22 may be referred to as a shite piece of unbalanced and unbalanced junk, surely the worst video game We have ever brought in my life… Supercars are available for play by players in Time Trial or in 'Pirelli Hot Laps' challenges, of which there are 40 in total, spread across career modes. In a few ways, F1 22 feels like quite a different video game compared to its forerunner, though that is not a giant surprise. F1 22 is one of my favorite racing video game titles, which is why it scores 10/10. The usual practice sessions return and are also required in the career mode, but they can be skipped or practiced.
And since you find it difficult to race them against certainly not time, that part covering the game is something we'll essentially ignore while sticking to GT7, Forza, and Assetto Corsa Competizione for our dose of road-car racing and GT-style racing. We can understand the position in case your location was a little basic and also you needed to develop it with time, but with the abundance of luxury furniture that is available right from the beginning, You could simply alter it to how you want to appear and more or less put it away. Select the final option in the list - F1 Life Visitor.
Tumblr media
You might be wondering how I can say that I'm taking so long to talk in regards to the career mode, it's simply because there's not any other thing that you could do with F1 22. Our guide to trophies lists all achievements in detail and can allow you to unlock your Platinum trophy. Apart from the web portion that the game title offers, the sole alternative is Solo playing, which gives you the choice between three different options: Grand Prix, in which you select some or all tracks and race them in a series; Time Trial, in which you select a track to try to beat the record for the fastest time to compete against the top gamers around the world as well as Pirelli Hot Laps, for which you choose from several various high-performance supercars for a selection of different challenges.

The Xbox Series X and Series S are Microsoft’s next-gen consoles that will bring all-new graphics, faster load times, and plenty of ways to enjoy all of the games you love digitally through Xbox Game Pass, the Smart Delivery system, and backward compatibility. We’ve learned quite a bit about the Xbox Series X and Series S’s impressive specs as well as what the consoles look like. In fact, based on what we know so far, it looks like the Xbox Series X will be very stiff competition for Sony’s PlayStation 5.
But console wars always come down to one thing: the games. The Xbox Series X and Series S already has quite a few first-party and third-party titles in its lineup, including flagship titles like Halo Infinite, Avowed, and the new Fable. What else do you have to look forward to playing on the Xbox Series X?
Here’s a rundown of all the launch games, Smart Delivery titles, and the full list of titles confirmed for Xbox Series X/S so far:
Xbox Series X Launch Games
While the Xbox Series X isn’t launching with any major first-party next-gen exclusives, it will have several first-party Optimized for Series X/S re-launches, such as Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. You should also expect quite a few third-party titles on the console on Nov. 10, also fully Optimized for Series X/S.
All of these Optimized for Series X/S titles will be available in the Microsoft Store, with many also available as part of your Xbox Game Pass subscription. Xbox Smart Delivery will also enable players to upgrade current-gen versions of select titles to the next-gen Optimized version free of charge, including Asssasin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion.

PS5 games: all the games confirmed and expected on the PlayStation 5
Tumblr media
PS5 games are nearly here. Sure, you may not be able to play them yet, but with a confirmed release window for the next-gen PlayStation console – at the end of 2020 – and specifications for the PS5 starting to drop, it's no surprise to see developers start announcing titles for the hardware. On June 11 2020, too, it's looking like we'll see PS5 games revealed publicly for the first time. So far we've only had confirmation of third-party PS5 games, including Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. But, when it comes to Sony's first-party titles, we're largely in the dark. Although we are expecting the likes of The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima to be cross-gen games, we can only speculate about what PS5 launch titles and exclusives are in the works. We saw 13 games introduced at the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal and, while some will be heading to the PS5, others are explicitly Xbox exclusives. After the event, it was confirmed that Dirt 5, Chorus, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and Scarlet Nexus are definitely headed to PS5, while other titles shown are less certain. We can't say exactly which games will be PS5 launch titles yet, then, but Sony's gameplay reveal event is just around the corner. Until then, we've gathered together this handy guide to all the PS5 games that have been confirmed so far – and some that we expect to see. Best PS4 games: the most essential PlayStation 4 releasesXbox Series X games: all the games rumored and confirmed PS5 vs Xbox Series X: what we know so farConfirmed PS5 games Fortnite
Tumblr media
Fortnite was confirmed for PS5 in May 2020. It'll arrive at launch, and players can expect some kind of visual upgrade for the game. In mid-2021, the game will be migrated to Unreal Engine 5, too.  Warframe
Tumblr media
Leyou Technology, parent company of Warframe developer Digital Extremes, has revealed that its free-to-play online sci-fi shooter Warframe will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X. In an earnings report by Leyou Technology, the company stated that it's "preparing to expand Warframe to more platforms, such as the next-generation consoles and other devices".However, there's no indication of when Warframe will land on PS5 or Xbox Series X. Gothic
Tumblr media
After gauging interest with a playable teaser, developer THQ Nordic has confirmed that it's going to remake its 2001 cult classic and bring it to PS5. Nordic is planning to "stay as faithfully as possible to the original experience" and modernise gameplay mechanics but it's also promised fans that it'll be playing close attention to player feedback from the playable teaser; already the developer has said that it's hearing calls for a "grittier and less colourful world". Development is still in the very early stages, though, and we shouldn't expect to see it in 2020.  Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Tumblr media
Ubisoft has confirmed that the next chapter in the Assassin's Creed series is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.Assassin's Creed Valhalla sees players take on the role of Viking raider Eivor, who leads their clan from their native home of Norway to the the shores of Dark Ages England - with a hope of settling for good. But resistance from the Saxons won't exactly make it easy. This new Assassin's Creed game leans more into RPG elements, allowing players to build and management settlements, raid towns for resources, form alliances and even customize their character. We got our first look at Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay during the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal on May 7, with Ubisoft releasing a new trailer for the upcoming game - but it was a bit of a disappointment. Rainbow Six Siege
Tumblr media
Ubisoft has confirmed to Windows Central that it's planning for its online tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, to be available on PS5 from launch day (whenever that launch day may be). In order to avoid forcing early next-gen adopters from having to leave their Siege friends behind, Ubisoft has also said that the game will support cross-generational multiplayer, so PS5 owners will still be able to play with their PS4 friends.  Outriders
Tumblr media
People Can Fly has confirmed that its upcoming co-op shooter Outriders will land on both PS5 and Xbox Series X in "Holiday 2020" (AKA between October and December this year) - the same release window that we have for both next-gen consoles. We don't know a huge amount about Outriders just yet, but the developer has described it as "a co-op RPG shooter for a new generation set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe". The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
Tumblr media
Announced in March 2019, Daedalic's Gollum game has now been confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X. The developer confirmed to Edge, that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be a "stunning next-gen adventure". Previously Daedlic confirmed Gollum will release in 2021 for PC and "all relevant console platforms at that time". Whether the game will be cross-generation (releasing on PS4 and Xbox One also) is still unconfirmed however. But what will the game actually be about? Gollum is an action-adventure which focuses on the ring-obsessed creature. According to Daedalic, the narrative-driven game"tells Gollum's story from a perspective never seen before ... while staying true to the legendary books." Godfall
Tumblr media
Announced at the Game Awards 2019, Godfall is an action RPG from Gearbox that kind of looks like Destiny with swords and shiny hardware. We don't know exactly what the gameplay is going to look like, but it can be said that Gearbox popularized the "looter shooter" with its Borderlands franchise, so we imagine that the gameplay loop will be just as satisfying. But, because Gearbox hasn't really made a hack and slash before, we'll just have to wait and see what the actual gameplay will look like and whether the slashing will be as satisfying as Borderlands' shooting. We don't have a specific release date, but we do know that Godfall will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Epic Games Store "Holiday 2020".  New Bluepoint Studios game
Tumblr media
The announcement of a new Bluepoint game was the first time a company came out into the open and said that it is indeed developing a title for Sony's next-generation console.Bluepoint Studios is the team best known for ports of classic games, having put out the incredibly well received Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and astonishing Shadow of the Colossus remaster.Talk early in 2019 pointed to the studio's next project being yet another re-imagining of a classic game, and with rumors swirling around a Demon's Souls remake happening (an IP owned by Sony unlike the rest of the Bandai Namco franchise), it's looking like a relatively good guess that'll be the company's next title. Watch Dogs: Legion
Tumblr media
First announced at E3 2019, Watch Dogs Legion was initially confirmed for a March 2020 release. However, since then Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will now be delayed into the next financial year which runs from April 2020 to March April 2021, meaning Watch Dogs Legion could see a delay of as little as a month or up to a year. This delay did, however, make it more likely that Watch Dogs Legion will launch on the PS5 platform. And it will,as the news was officially confirmed by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot at the end of 2019. Battlefield 6
Tumblr media
Electronic Arts has confirmed that Battlefield 6 is coming to Xbox Series X and PS5 in 2021. Speaking to GameSpot, EA said that Battlefield 6 will be "targeting new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms". We're still largely in the dark about what Battlefield 6 is about, and whether it'll also be available on current-gen consoles, but we can't wait to find out more. Gods and Monsters
Tumblr media
Just like Watch Dogs Legion, Gods and Monsters is another title from Ubisoft announced for PS4 at E3 2019 that's been delayed from its original early 2020 release into the next financial year. We could see Gods and Monsters released any time between April 2020 and March 2021 and have now had official confirmation that it'll be coming to the PS5.  Rainbow Six Quarantine
Tumblr media
Rainbow Six Quarantine was first confirmed during Ubisoft's E3 2019 press conference. It was never given a solid release date but it has since been delayed into the 2020-2021 financial year. So, while we still don't know a release date, this delay has pushed the game closer to the PS5 launch. And, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, it's one of a number of games that's been officially confirmed for the next-gen console. WRC 9
Tumblr media
It's been officially confirmed that the latest version of the FIA World Rally Championship will officially hit Xbox Series X and PS5. The racing title will release in September 2020 for PC, Switch, Xbox One and PS4, but will also release on next-gen consoles. “The introduction of new-generation gaming consoles is a wonderfully exciting step and we’re delighted WRC 9 will be the first rally game to become available to gamers on such platforms,” WRC Promoter managing director Oliver Ciesla said.According to the game's website, WRC 9 will feature rallies in Kenya, New Zealand and Japan from the 2020 WRC calendar, alongside over 400km of roads from all 13 scheduled rounds of the 2020 season.WRC 10 and WRC 11 have also been confirmed. Dying Light 2
Tumblr media
During an interview with Wccftech at E3 2019, developer Techland confirmed Dying Light 2 is set for next-gen consoles. "Techland always has an eye on the latest new toys!" Techland's chief technology officer, Pawel Rohleder, said. "To be more specific - yes, the plan since the beginning of production has been to make Dying Light 2 a cross-generation title." Dirt 5
Tumblr media
The racing franchise returns with Dirt 5 (stylized DiRT 5), which was introduced during the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal video and shortly thereafter confirmed to be coming to PS5 (and PS4, actually). Dirt 5 will surely showcase off-road racing in worldwide locations like previous games in the series. While we don't know much about the new title, we do know that the top dogs in male voice acting, Nolan North and Troy Baker, will both lend their talents to the game. Chorvs
Tumblr media
Chorvs is another game introduced during the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal video, but its official YouTube trailer confirmed it's also coming to PS5 (and PS4). The futuristic starfighter shooting game follows Nara as she pilots her sentient ship Forsaken to destroy the cult she once belonged to. Wild! Its visuals evoke the moody red lighting of Control, but the combat feels a lot like Everspace and other arcade-style space shooters. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Tumblr media
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 had already been announced for current consoles, but a new trailer was unveiled during the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal event indicating it was coming to that console. When that official trailer hit YouTube, we leanred it's coming to PS5 as well.Players take the role of a vampire in the World of Darkness, where undead like yourselves have the capability to entrance, hunt, and gruesomely kill humans. Plots, schemes, and action will change the balance of power in a shifting world. Neat! Scarlet Nexus
Tumblr media
The anime-styled hack-and-slash Scarlet Nexus was first revealed during the first Xbox Series X gameplay reveal video in May, but publisher Bandai Namco quickly announced the game would be coming to PS5 as well (and PS4, for that matter). The futuristic action game follows a humanity besieged by mutants (that look like flower planters with legs, sure) who can only be fought with psychic powers. In other words, the best part of Control in a stylized anime setting. Bandai Namco confirmed this is the first in a new franchise (likely subject to its success) that's being created by talent from the Tales Of series. Rumored PS5 games Cyberpunk 2077
Tumblr media
Image credit: CD Projekt RedCD Projekt Red has been reticent to say whether or not its upcoming title will be releasing on PS5. But we do know Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on Xbox Series X.Despite no official confirmation, CD Projekt seems to suggest, during an earnings call, that Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to PS5 – we can't see why it wouldn't – but that the company is waiting for Sony to make the announcement first. “There’s no official announcement coming from PlayStation so we really can’t confirm or deny anything,” Nowakowski said. “It’s PlayStation that first needs to address these issues and then we’re happy to make a comment, but we can’t jump the gun ahead of them.”The company has also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will still release in September and will be available on Xbox Series X "from the get-go", with an enhanced, next-gen version being released at a later date. If CD Projekt Red is planning to release an upgraded version of Cyberpunk 2077 for next-gen consoles, and is planning to release on PS5, then Sony would likely need a feature similar to Smart Delivery to implement this – as it appears this patch is more than a simple update, and is instead a full-blown upgrade. We can only speculate, but it would explain why Sony has held off confirming that the game is coming, perhaps until it itself reveals a forwards-compatibility feature. Death Stranding
Tumblr media
Image credit: Kojima ProductionsHideo Kojima and Sony have been pretty tight-lipped about whether we will be seeing Death Stranding as a PS5 game. Death Stranding has already launched on the PS4 but in an interview with Wired, Sony's Mark Cerny hinted that we could be seeing the allusive title on PS5 too. When asked by Wired about the transition from PS4 to next generation, and how Death Stranding will fit into this process, Cerny gave a "pregnant pause" and a glib smile before a spokesperson interjected that game would be released for PS4. It's not exactly a confirmation but Cerny's response has definitely fuelled speculation that Death Stranding will be a cross-generation release. Ghost of Tsushima
Tumblr media
SuckerPunch's historical open world adventure will take players back to Feudal Japan, and now we have a much clearer picture of when that will happen. At the Game Awards 2019, SuckerPunch revealed that Ghost of Tsushima will be hitting the streets on July 17, 2020, which means the wait is very nearly over. That means that the game will arrive ahead of the PS5, but given how beautiful the graphics have been so far, we wouldn't be surprised if it launches on Sony's new console. Still, we haven't heard word one from Sony about whether Ghost of Tsushima will be a PS5 game. The Last of Us: Part 2
Tumblr media
Image credit: Naughty DogThe The Last of Us: Part 2 was due to release on May 29, 2020; however, the game has been delayed until June 19, 2020.We think it's a safe assumption that any Sony exclusives coming in 2020 (or that were due in 2020) will likely be cross-generation titles. It would seem slightly odd for Sony to release one of its most eagerly anticipated sequels for just the PS4 at the end of the console's life cycle. So we think it's a safe bet to assume Joel and Ellie will make their way to the PS5, instantly becoming one of the best PS5 games. Starfield
Tumblr media
Image credit: BethesdaBethesda has quite a lot of projects in the works, but the one we seem to know the least about is Starfield. All we know so far is that Starfield is the gaming behemoth's first new IP for 25 years and will be a single player RPG set in outer space.Having only seen an announcement trailer, we don't expect Starfield to release until at least 2020 which means it will land in the prime window to become a PS5 game. Bethesda hasn't let slip if this will be the case but it seems likely we will be venturing into Bethesda's galaxy on next generation consoles. The Elder Scrolls 6
Tumblr media
Image credit: BethesdaAs we said, Bethesda has been pretty busy behind the scenes since E3 2018. Not only is Starfield on the cards, but the long-awaited Elder Scrolls 6 has also been confirmed to be in the works. Bethesda's Todd Howard has already stated that The Elder Scrolls 6 won't be coming out until after Starfield. So it'll be a while before we venture into Tamriel again, likely on next generation consoles.  Grand Theft Auto 6
Tumblr media
Image credit: Rockstar GamesOk, yes, we are being a bit hopeful here - mainly because Grand Theft Auto 6 has not been announced by Rockstar Games. But it's almost guaranteed that we will see a new installation in the Grand Theft Auto series, and it's not going to be for a while. Therefore, it is likely that a release date will fall into the next generation, making GTA 6 a PS5 game. Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Tumblr media
Image credit: Square EnixAgain, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has not been confirmed to be a PS5 game but has released exclusively for PS4 - with an Xbox One and PC release likely in the future .Given the age of the PS4, and the ambitious nature of the game, Final Fantasy Remake on PS5 doesn't seem to be out of the question. Expect Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 to land on Sony's next-gen platform too. Horizon Zero Dawn 2
Tumblr media
Now, it's worth noting this title hasn't been officially confirmed nevermind being confirmed for PS5. Sony has had huge success with its PS4 exclusives, particularly post-apocalyptic RPG Horizon Zero Dawn. Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best-selling games on the PS4, selling over 10 million copies and cementing itself as a must-have title. So it would make perfect sense for Guerrilla Games to develop a sequel, right? It seems that is exactly what's happening. While neither Sony nor Guerrilla Games have announced a Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is in the works, one of the game's voice actors spilled the beans earlier this year and essentially confirmed a sequel is on the way. But with no release date in sight, it looks likely that Horizon Zero Dawn will land on PS5. God of War 2
Tumblr media
Much like Horizon Zero Dawn 2, God of War 2 hasn't officially been confirmed to be in the works. It's only been a year since the critically acclaimed (and our Game of the Year 2018 winner) God of War reboot launched exclusively on PlayStation 4, but we're already looking to the future.Despite Sony remaining tight-lipped on the subject, the success of God of War means a sequel is probably on the way (perhaps another God of War 2?). In addition, Sony Santa Monica has posted job listings for a number of roles across its teams - with one listing clearly citing the God of War reboot. At this point, it's most likely that God of War 2 will come to PS5 than the PS4. Gran Turismo
Tumblr media
There are rumors abound that the next Gran Turismo title will be a part of the PS5's launch lineup. While nothing has been confirmed, it does seem likely that a Gran Turismo game will appear on the console at some point as it's PlayStation's landmark racing series. Wired has reported that developer Polyphony Digital has Gran Turismo Sport running on a PS5 devkit while an even more recent leak has suggested that Gran Turismo 7 will release on November 20 as a launch title for the console. We don't know for sure when a Gran Turismo title will appear on PS5, or what form it will take, but we think it's likely it will happen at some point.  PS5 vs PS4 Pro: will it be worth the upgrade?
#gallery-0-9 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-9 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-9 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-9 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
  #gallery-0-10 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-10 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-10 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-10 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
youtube
Conclusion

WRC 7: FIA World Rally Championship has been unleashed upon the world. Should you prepare to hit the track, or is it best left in the pits?
Read on to find out
The World Rally Championship series of video games has come a long ways since it was originally licensed to Sony back in 2001, making studio stops a long the way with Evolution Studios, Black Bean Games, Milestone, and now Big Ben Interactive’s Kylotonn. Big Ben picked up the license with WRC 5 and developer Kylotonn has made incremental improvements with each release. Last year’s release of WRC 6 received lukewarm reviews but was a step in the right direction. WRC 7 continues that journey and again makes some nice improvements.
The last few months has brought us quite a few driving games to play, and the genre covers the globe in racing locations and surface types. There’s F1 2017, NASCAR Heat 2, and Project Cars 2 (currently in the review process) to name a few.  The realism in today’s games shows how impressive the technology has become, and most of these racing games tap into that technology well and WRC 7 joins in on the fun.
One of the improvements over WRC 6 is the handling of the cars, depending on their current physical repair status of course. We very seldom use a controller for driving games, but for review purposes we will try the game out both with a regular controller and with our Thrustmaster T150 steering wheel setup using the Wheel Stand Pro. Either way you play, the controls for the game are pretty responsive and an improvement over previous releases. The force feedback on the T150 really gave us a nice feel for the track and had us gripping the wheel tightly.
Whether we were driving in snow, gravel, or on asphalt, the car handled nicely and depending on your difficulty settings, gave the game a nice feel of realism when using the wheel. Even with a controller the game was fun to drive and play, but felt more like an arcade game than a simulator. That is to be expected with a regular controller and we only played for a few hours that way. For us the game really shined when we were driving along with the wheel setup, but is still great both ways.
The graphics for the game are good. At high speeds, which you may not achieve very often in a rally game, the game still looked ok. There really wasn’t much improvement over WRC 6 in that area, but it is by no means a bad looking game. The car models look great, with a wide variety of make, models, and liveries to choose from. The environments are nicely detailed, with ruts in the snow and dirt being able to change the direction of your car if you let them. The folks on the sidelines don’t seem to care, though, and have seemingly no fear as you zip deathly close to them and/or their vehicles. A little interaction by them would be a nice touch, maybe having them jump back if you get too close, or dive out of the way if you hit a rail near them.
The game starts out by giving you a driver’s test in order to evaluate your driving level and then recommend settings based on your results. The Rally de Portugal is a nice introductory rally course with varying twists and turns but can be a little challenging for those that are new to the genre. One of the things that needs to be looked at is the 9 second time penalty you’ll get everytime you need the car reset to a track. Regardless of how far off the road you may veer, the penalty is always the same. The game should take a few things into account and then determine the penalty and not just arbitrarily dock you 9 seconds for even just a slight off-the-track experience.
This being the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship, every team, car, and driver can be found in the game, along with all of the tracks. The amount of content is pretty impressive and the recreation of each car is spot on. When you join a team in career mode, you’ll get to use your own name as well, and seeing that on the side of one of these cars is a real nice touch. The cars range from peppy little Fiestas up to some decently powered vehicles that will test your skills.
For rally enthusiasts, this game is a must-have title as it is the best rally racer around. If you aren’t into rally racers, you’ll probably want to find a genre that better fits your needs.
