What my bath water looked like after using a homemade bath bomb. Took a break from videos this week bc I was exceptionally tired and had some other stuff going on and didn’t get a chance to film anything. Now I’m on the bus back to school and have been napping on and off- but have been having short vivid dreams! Also have been thinking about the importance of vocational skills for people on the spectrum- services to help people get jobs are few and far between and programs that offer the kind of support needed for people to undo a lot of the trauma of previous schooling and bullying that had tarnished their self-esteem. I don’t think we discuss this enough, and I wholeheartedly believe that everyone on the spectrum is able to learn some of these skills no matter how realistically they may be able to get a job. Employment in the right setting improves self-esteem and confidence and gives people a sense of purpose, and these benefits translate into other areas of people’s lives, improving their overall quality of life. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!  Today, MARTA’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion continued to spread awareness of the history of ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), ADA policies, service animal policies, mobility services, MARTA’s Accessibility Committee, and how to interact with persons with disabilities in a more inclusive manner.
