Spring, TX natives may recognize this abandoned lot at the corner of Welcome Ln. and FM 1960 as the former location of Games People Play, which entertained kids with mini-golf, bumper boats, an arcade, batting cages, and a water slide during the 1980s.

The photos here show the golf course pathways and the former bumper boat pond. Note the poles on the far side of pond still stand, where the boats would be tied up while waiting for the next rider. On the mini golf course you can see the distinctive “two hump” obstacle.

The rest of the place is too overgrown by forest for all but the most intrepid urban explorers.

Frankly I am shocked that no one has rebuilt on this site since it was closed down in the early 1990s.
