Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement of 03 Young Professional-II under the National Animal Disease Control (NADCP) Programme and 02 Young Professional-II under the Niche Area of Excellence (NAE) programme in the Division of Biological Standardization of the Institute as per the details given below:

Essential Qualification

Experience in working in the research lab of biotechnology/microbiology and knowledge of handling Microsoft office
Emoluments
Rs. 35,000/- per month
Age limit
The minimum age under Young Professional-II is 21 years and maximum 45 years with relaxation as per rules.
Young Professional-II in the NADCP project will be engaged purely on a contract basis for a period initially up to March 2022, or till termination of the post/project, whichever is earlier.
Young Professional-II in NAE project will be engaged purely on a contract basis for a period initially up to March 2021, or till termination of the post/project, whichever is earlier.
How to Apply
Candidates are advised to submit his/her full bio-data duly affixed recent passport- size photograph along with photocopies of testimonials/experience etc to the Head, Division of Biological Standardization, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar-243 122 by post or by e. mail on [email protected] latest by 22.02.2021 However, the original documents will be required at the time of joining the position.
The engagement term is extendable to a maximum period of three years subject to the requirement and satisfactory performance and conduct of the candidate.
Candidates should maintain social distancing during the entire process from the entry into the institute till the exit. It is mandatory to wear a face mask properly at all times and thermal before entering the examination centre. Candidate should also follow all the guidelines.
Young professionals will be entitled to avail Institute facilities like dispensary/Library.

RECRUITMENT OF ONE JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) POSITION THROUGH

Emoluments

Essential qualification
M. Tech/ M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with experience in Bioinformatics.
Candidate with a minimum of 60% marks at the PG level are eligible (55% for SC/ST candidates).
Desirable
Preference will be given to candidates having bioinformatics experience in genomic and transcriptomic data analysis applying appropriate algorithms.
Age limit
28 years as on 17.02.2021 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women candidates)
How to Apply
Eligible candidates may appear for the interview at the time and venue given below. The candidates are requested to bring the latest passport size photograph, One photocopy of each of the certificates and mark sheets in support of educational qualifications (SSLC, PUC/ HSC, B. NIAB PhD Program Admission
NIAB invites applications for admission to NIAB PhD Admission Program 2020 from highly motivated students for the upcoming 2020 session. NIAB is an autonomous institution of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, leading in basic and translational research on animal health and productivity and human-animal interface with a motto to improve animal health for human welfare. The institute has a ravishing 100–acre campus at Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
The institute provides opportunities for pursuing cutting edge research using advanced technologies in frontier areas of science such as the development of next-generation vaccines, immunology, genetics, genomics, gene and protein engineering, host-pathogen interactions, patho-genomics, disease diagnostics, nanotechnology; bioinformatics, drug delivery platforms; nutrition, reproductive biotechnology; stem cells, gene editing & transgenic technology for humanized mouse models and farm animals, zoonosis and One Health.
Eligibility Criteria
Individuals desirous of seeking admission to PhD program at NIAB must have a Master’s degree (M. Sc., M. Tech., M. V. Sc. or M. Pharm.) or MBBS or B. Tech. degree in any branch of Life Science.
Candidates must mandatorily have secured CSIR/ UGC/ DBT/ ICMR/ INSPIRE NET JRF/ UGC-RGNF or any other national research fellowship for 5 years. Those with only GATE, MPAT or other certification exams are not eligible. The terms and conditions, fellowship amount, etc. will be governed by the awarding agency and further subject to the rules and conventions of the Institute.
Application Procedure
Interested candidates who meet the above criteria may apply online in the prescribed form, through the link available at our online portal (www.niab.org.in). Soft copies of certificates in support of date of birth, educational qualifications, reservation category (if applicable), and fellowship examination qualified must also be uploaded. Selection Criteria
Admission to PhD Program will be based on an interview of shortlisted eligible candidates via video conference, scheduled to be held on 21st and 22nd of August 2020. The candidates will be interviewed once for primary screening followed by the second interview of screened candidates on day two. Before the interview, the applicants are encouraged to view the profile and the research interests of the faculties who currently have vacancies in their labs and are also advised to make a priority listing of all faculties they are desirous to work with in order of preference. Please list all faculties in sequence.
Selected candidates are expected to join NIAB no later than 1st September 2020.
Students will be given choice to give a preference list for joining the lab and area in which they are interested to work at NIAB after the interview. NIAB reserves the right to accept/reject any or all applications without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
