Care Bears Unlock the Magic is very underrated!

It has so little traction on here and virtually anywhere online that I see, it makes me sad cause this is a truly hidden gem of a show and its been quite a long while that I’ve fallen in love with a cartoon like this.

The classic and Care Bears movie artstyle is really cute, and I love the UtM style just as much! (In case you haven’t seen the style its this!)

I’m honestly so surprised it doesn’t have a bigger following as it reminds me a ton of My Little Pony G4 aka Friendship is Magic, which is a show I would say is one of my favourites of all time.

It’s got a lot of the same genuinely really good stuff FiM has like likable and real feeling characters (Grumpy Bear is so good don’t get me started!!), and really sweet character moments and lessons that aren’t forced but very natural feeling. It is a kids show, so it will sometimes have a bit of cheese and sap, but I am not at all bothered by that and think it is very genuine with what it does.

Not to mention the very pretty backgrounds and art this show has!!

The animation is quite wonderful too, I can say every episode has such charming style and movement. This show is a must watch if you are an animation lover!

If you are able to watch this show, definitely consider doing so!! Its on HBO Max (but we all know how we feel about that streaming service), but its also -

- so it’s very easy to watch luckily! The only episodes missing are episodes 20, 25 and 40. You can also always arrg me matey if you know what I mean as well 🏴‍☠️ (if you have any questions about how to do that, even for other shows, feel free to ask for any resources and advice!)

The show in my opinion does not start the most amazing on the first episode, its a bit rushed feeling for the setup, but it rapidly gets better and more enjoyable. My partner and I got sucked in pretty quick after a few eps and we’ve been watching a few at night lately :3 we both agree that episode 3 is where is picks up and gains its stride, but it is important to see the first two eps still I’d say especially the first one.

If you ever have the time and curiosity, I’d totally recommend it! Again, if you like shows like My Little Pony FiM, or even the more recent MLP G5, you’ll have a nice time!

So like I saw a post (not made by or reblogged by anyone following me or mutuals at all, no worries) and.. like.. mspec lesbian/gay labels were not made by TERFS at all???

In the notes of said post someone even corrected the op and they didn’t even bother to change the post? Probably to aid in their idea that mspec lesbians and gay people are somehow harmful and transphobic which is just.. not the case..?

LOTS of people I’ve seen that are mspec lesbians/gay or supporters of “out of the box” labels like that are trans themselves and/or trans allies. Even besides that don’t use misinfo to trash on a group of fellow queer people just to make yourself look better and be mean I guess.

I get that a lot of people who are against “out of the box” queer labels are afraid that it is lessening of your own identity, but it isn’t right to wrongfully demonize them. Even with your fears (as I once had), understand that fellow queer people are not lessening your experiences or your own relationship to your label.

Bisexual is still a beautiful label, lesbian is still a wonderful label, pansexual is still a fantastic label, any label is still amazing in its own right and personal! Just cause some people use them in their own ways doesn’t lessen your experiences and feelings, support and uplift mspec queer people and anyone else who has labels that “don’t make sense”

Fixating on Star vs the Forces of Evil lately sure is an experience

Like I genuinely enjoy the shows earlier 2 seasons for the most part and parts of 3, but it falls so hard! I had a negative-only perception of the show for a long time due to that, the ending is genuinely godawful and it overall is a horrible ending to this series.

On the other hand, I love the story in the first two seasons and parts of 3 and find it very compelling, interesting and charming as well! Marco and Star are likeable and Tom is there and still my fave! Janna and Jackie rock!

Basically death to the author and all that shit, my autistic ass is reclaiming them. It’ll never be a tippy top fave show of mine, but damn if it isn’t important to me despite anything and shaped parts of me.

In terms of gameplay, Mother 1 is totally the worst game in the series and it can’t be denied that it’s gameplay is. Bad. It’s very bad. I’ve played the game more than once and don’t know how I stomached it in some ways.

But honestly I sometimes wonder if it’s my fave Mother game (or Earthbound), EB means a ton to me and is very sentimental and quirky and wonderful but I also love Mother 1 and it’s my fave of the 3 in terms of story and characters, the world is so important to me and the themes and music and just everything.

I’m at a tossup I just wanted to express how much I love Mother 1 I guess x3
