i'm praying you don't see the signs (praying for you to be mine) - ch. 5
a/n: totally forgot to post this here oops!
read on ao3!
Fanboy is frankly disappointed that it takes him so long to notice.
Mickey likes to think of himself as a romantic. He also likes to think of himself as observant; he is a WSO after all. So when Phoenix and Hangman reveal they're together, he really begins to doubt himself. How could he not have seen it? A budding relationship on their team right under his nose?
Payback tells him not to be too hard on himself; no one saw it coming, not even Phoenix. But still, Fanboy is feeling down about it. Not only did he miss the buildup, but he still can’t see it, not really. Watching them together is quite honestly baffling. He’d been so sure that they hated each other, or at least barely tolerated one another, but now, in this week before they have to return to their assignments, they’re all over each other.
Not in a PDA way. In fact, they’re barely affectionate, which only confuses Mickey more. But they spend all their time together, showing up to group hangouts as one unit, blowing them off to go spend the evening at dinner or mini golf.
He can sometimes catch glimpses of it, in the way Phoenix watches Hangman as he plays pool or how Hangman will look at Phoenix after every joke he tells, as if he’s trying to gauge her reaction, impress her. But overall, it’s a mystery to him. And not for lack of trying, either. Payback often has to pinch him in the arm to stop him from staring at the two of them.
So when it comes time for everyone to start heading back out, he decides it’s the perfect time to investigate. His leave was actually interrupted by this special detachment, so he gets to resume it at the end of the week. He was planning on taking the train up to Anaheim, but Phoenix and Hangman are driving up to Lemoore, so he asks if he can just hitch a ride with them since it’s on the way.
When he tells Bob, the other WSO looks at him like he has a death wish.
“Dude, are you sure?” Bob asks, worry evident in his voice.
“Yeah, it’s on their way and way cheaper than a train. Plus, aren’t you curious about them? I wanna study it up close.”
Bob’s face scrunches up into something akin to disgust. “Believe me, I know more than enough.” Fanboy remembers that Bob’s bunk shares a wall with Hangman. “And being in an enclosed space with them is close to my idea of torture.”
Mickey laughs at Bob’s dramatics. “It can’t be that bad; it’s less than 2 hours to Anaheim. And I’ve been around them arguing; I think I can handle it.”
“It’s not the arguing I would worry about,” Bob says ominously, and Fanboy wants to inquire further, but Fritz comes up to them complaining about something or the other, so he doesn’t get the chance.
When he follows Phoenix and Hangman out to the pickup truck, he’s shocked when it’s Phoenix climbs into the driver’s seat. Granted, he hasn’t known Hangman long, but the entire time, he’s never once let someone else drive his truck.
“Phoenix is driving?” he asks, unable to keep the curiosity out of his voice.
“Yeah, I slept like shit last night, so I’m gonna nap until we’re on the other side of LA and we’ll switch off.” Despite saying he’s about to nap, Hangman still claims the front seat. Mickey bites his tongue; as annoying as it is, he is getting a free ride, so he should keep his opinions to himself.
“I don’t mind driving up to Anaheim if you both want to rest up for the longer trip,” he offers.
Hangman scoffs. “Hell no. No offense, Fanboy, but no one touches my baby.”
“You’re letting Phoenix drive it right now,” he protests.
“Well, she’s my other baby.”
“Fuck off,” Phoenix cuts in, shoving Hangman’s shoulder. “I’m no one’s baby.”
“Yeah you are, baby,” Hangman says smugly. “And I’m yours.”
Phoenix rolls her eyes, but the look they give each other over the gear shift is so sappy that Fanboy considers getting out and heading to the nearest train station instead. Maybe this is what Bob was talking about.
They stop for gas before getting on the highway, and Hangman fills up the tank while Phoenix head into the mini-mart to pay and pick up snacks. When she comes back, she tosses Takis into the backseat for Mickey and dumps the rest on the passenger seat.
As Hangman slides back into the car, he turns to Phoenix and asks, “did you get-”
She cuts him off before he can finish. “Yes, I got you your beef jerky. How you can eat that is beyond me.”
As she pulls onto the highway, Hangman is quickly lulled to sleep. Phoenix and Fanboy converse quietly as she drives, exchanging stories about their sisters and talking about their upcoming deployment. Through it, Fanboy notices that she keeps glancing over at where Hangman is sleeping, worry clear from the furrow in her eyebrow and the way she’s biting her lip.
“You know, it was kinda rude for him to ride shotgun if he was just gonna sleep the whole time.” Fanboy’s mostly over it; he just wants to find a way to get her to talk about Hangman, to see if he can parse their relationship and her interest.
“I was actually the one who insisted,” Phoenix admits sheepishly. “He’ll kill me if he found out I told you, but he’s been having nightmares. It’s why he’s so tired. I’m just worried about him.” She glances down at Hangman again, resting a hand on his knee. Hangman stirs slightly but otherwise remains out.
“Oh,” Fanboy says, feeling a little dumb. “I didn’t know he was struggling like that.”
“Yeah, he’ll never admit it, even to me, but those two kills take a toll.”
“I had no idea he felt guilty about anything.” Honestly, Fanboy didn’t know Hangman had any emotions other than pride.
“He’s good at hiding it, but underneath it all, Jake’s a bit of a softy.” Phoenix smiles fondly down at her boyfriend, and Fanboy gets it.
They may not be flashy or overly romantic, but the two of them understand each other, in a way no one else will. Often, that’s enough.

Taylor Swift, A Real Person Inside Celebrity Attire
I wanna have a break for awhile in speculating about Taylor Swift' sexuality/relationship and dedicate this writing solely focusing on her as a person.
Honestly, I've never a big fans of her. Nor to any other celebrities out there. I am always a casual listener to any music. And very seldom I attentively scrutinizing song lyrics. But falling to Kaylors fandom inevitably forced me to dig more about Taylor Swift. I was very much surprise knowing how popular she is, or how successful she is building up an empire of 'devotees'. She is a queen in almost every sense.
But only through knowing how relatable her character is to ourselves as a non celebrity that truly inspiring and gradually takes me to grow a soft-tenderness feeling toward her. And like a teen swiftie, I can't help to echo their praise: "I love you, Taylor Swift!"
Here, I am just going to copy a relatable normal human being version of Taylor's story from many sources - mostly from people with direct interaction with her, the 'normal' people. If one still deducting flaws out of her personality, after reading these kind of testimonials - well it would speak a lot about who the person is rather than being about Taylor Swift.
***
From Rolling Stone:
We’ve been talking for a while when a boat rows up carrying three teenagers – two girls and a guy. “Oh, my God!” says one of the girls. “Today is my birthday! Can I please take a picture with you?” Swift laughs. “You can, but I don’t know how you’re going to. You’re on a boat, buddy!”
“I’ll get off!” the girl says. “I’ll find a way.” Swift and her bodyguard reach out and help her into the pavilion. “You’re going to make me cry!” she says.
“Is it really your birthday?” Swift asks.
“How old are you?”
“Seventeen,” the girl says.
“Oh, that’s a good year.”
“I know. I’m excited.”
The girl says she lives on Long Island. She and her friends took the train in for the day. “That’s cute,” Swift says. “Are you going to dinner somewhere?”
The girl scrunches up her face. “We were going to . . . Chipotle?”
Swift smiles. She goes to her purse and pulls out a wad of cash – $90, to be exact. “Here,” she says. “Go somewhere nice.”
“Oh, my God,” the girl says. “Thank you!” She climbs back in the boat, and she and her friends paddle off.
Note:
$90 may not be a big number for a celeb like Taylor Swift with an estimated worth around 360 million USD. However, that was probably the only cash she had in hand - and Taylor gave it all to the teen girl she barely knew only cause she probably felt that she could contribute to boost this girl's happiness by adding the teen with more fund to spend on her birthday.
This was not only sweet but it genuinely a very grandeur kindnest.

"Is Taylor Swift actually a nice person?" - a question made in Quora:
Anonymous answered it, in May 21th 2018
This post has been a long time coming. I am answering this question anonymously for a number of reasons: 1) I do not wish to inadvertently become tabloid fodder; 2) I do not wish to capitalize on Taylor; 3) I enjoy my relatively normal life; and 4) I believe the anonymity is well-deserved on Taylor’s part. Although Taylor may be able to determine who is writing this, I do not believe such information to be of use to the public. I am sure, if she wished, she could write me a letter and reconnect at anytime. That is her choice to make.
Before Taylor hit it big, Taylor and I spent months emailing back and forth on MySpace. We were the same age with similar tastes in music, similar viewpoints on life, and similar, sarcastic senses of humor. We were both trying to make it in music and grow a fan base. We confided in each other. We trusted each other. We had an ongoing, supportive relationship that helped both of us when we sometimes felt there was nowhere else to turn. Few knew of my coversations with her - but some of Taylor’s closest friends did know they were taking place (they called me “the guy on MySpace,” as it is my understanding Taylor did not tell them my name).
The two of us, still in our teens and miles apart, began writing to each other in short messages at first. We would discuss music, school, and random jokes we would make upon the fly. As time went on, the messages (and their topics) went from short and complimentary to in-depth and personal. We would write messages to one another that, if printed, would be multiple pages long. Looking back, these were the messages of two teenagers trying to find themselves and, in the process, found a friend in one another. We never had expectations, just a supportive friendship with a member of the opposite sex we could not seem to find offline. Although our situations and backgrounds were very different, our similarities closed any gap between us.
During our time messaging, Taylor had hit a rough patch in her life. That may be easy to balk at if you see Taylor as a flawless celebrity rather than the caring and thoughtful person that she is - but the struggle she was experiencing at the time was very real and had its toll on her, a teen trying to find her place. I would do my best to encourage her from a distance and support her as the situation unfolded. Taylor did the same for me. The mutual respect and maturity shared with one another was like nothing else I had experienced. As for Taylor, I believe she felt the same.
Then, something happened. I began to emotionally struggle with the loss of a grandparent who had passed in 2002. As a young person, I had buried the pain for years and did not know how to cope. I had little in terms of a support mechanism in my “real” life. But things were just beginning in Taylor’s career. I thought that my burdens would weigh Taylor down. So, rather than turn to Taylor for support or tell her what happened, I did the only thing sixteen year old me knew how to do… I closed myself off, shut down my MySpace page… and tried to grapple with the experience on my own. To this day, I feel guilty about having left her out in the dark. But I still believe I did the right thing. Taylor had a dream we both shared and it was becoming a reality. I was not about to stand in the way by making her worry about her friend. She was too kind and sweet to me. Strapping her with that type of burden would have been unjustifiable. As fast as I had entered it, I was out of Taylor’s life. If she saw me today, it is unlikely she would recognize me as that guy who was playing country songs. That is not the path my life took.
Fast forward to today and I am a highly educated person who has been able to carve my own path in this world. By any measure, I have been successful for my age. If Taylor were not a celebrity, I believe her story would be much the same.
What you see and hear about Taylor does not scratch the surface or come near the reality. The claims about her doing things for publicity, being an uncaring person, or using others are nowhere near an accurate description of the person I grew to know. Taylor is a kind, caring, compassionate person who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Her acts of charity are not acts of publicity, they are acts of character. She has earned and deserves her career. Knowing her as I did, I cannot help but believe she often longs for normalcy, anonymity, and questions what it would be like if she were simply Taylor to this day - not the celebrity, but another person who lived life without being subjected to the critiques, comments, and ridicule.
I knew Taylor for Taylor, she was wonderful. In the unlikely event she reads this, I apologize for not writing back and hope she understands why I made that decision. I kicked myself for years - not because of the fame she found, but because of the friend I loss.
Taylor, I am proud of how far you have made it in this world.
Note:
Me and approximately 8.3k Quora-ers agreed that this guys story is genuine.
***
Steve Parr - a quora-er, answered this (from the same Quora page):
I’ve met Taylor Swift twice, both while I was working for Taylor Guitars.
The first time was at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. She was there with her father who BEGGED Bob Taylor to let her play on our performance stage. I think she was about 15 at the time. She was nervous and her songs weren’t great, but she was beaming and very appreciative of the time given her.
The second time was when she held her album release party for Fearless (2008) at the Taylor factory in El Cajon, CA. There was a nationwide contest where two people were flown from each state to San Diego to attend the party, get a meet & greet and attend a private concert for a total of about 250 people. I was heavily involved in photography, so the production company hired me to shoot the meet & greet and the concert.
When she arrived at our factory for that event, she came in through the back of our shipping warehouse. As she walked through, she greeted everyone, giving them a long, solid hug while saying “hello”. Now, some of these guys were hardcore warehouse types who were dirty and sweaty. That didn’t matter to Swift. She didn’t have to do what she did, but she did it. I thought that spoke highly of her character.
So, yeah, she’s really a nice person…
Note:
If you familiar with Emotional Intelligence, Daniel Goleman, you probably remember the first few pages about "bus driver" story. This guy spread the joy with his inert kindnest. He was the example of emotional intelligence that Goleman referred to.
Reading the above testimony remind me of the bus driver. If you think Taylor Swift doesn't atleast possess a lil of EI, then I think you need to re-think about how you view the world - and start to trust humanity act of kindnest again.
***
Final thought:
Really I could copy paste dozen of testimonials out there about Taylor Swift. Esp from fans who lucky enough to meet her in person during secret sessions. They are not only being loyal to Taylor because they led by 'blindness' by Taylor's charm - but more because I could see that Taylor had touched their heart with her genuinely nice behaviours. Treating her fans as in the highest value, is one of Taylor's rare quality as human being.
Not to mention, Taylor has been involved in many charitably acts through out the years - a very good role model not only to youth but to all of us in general. I could say that her parents have raised her well and influenced her to continue being grounded.
Oh yes, I am fully aware that Taylor Swift is mere human with all the flaws and far from perfection - and I have no doubt that she awares of it too - nevertheless, if one lacking in appreciation toward others and only focus in finding every lil dirts, as haters would be, well that speaks more about them compare to the object of their rants. That just like one unconsciously noticed their own version of 'elephant in the room', but rather than face it - they cowardly projecting it to other. And public figure, esp a sweet lollipop like Taylor, sadly always an easy target achery.
Xxx

30th May 2019
It is currently Day 3 of my journey. We have been in Hollywood for 2 days now and are leaving today to go to Anaheim because tomorrow we are going to Disneyland!!
On Tuesday when we arrived, Mum and I were so tired that we went to sleep early. We caught the Flyaway bus from the airport to Hollywood and Vine and then walked to our hotel which was about a 20 minute walk. My bags are so heavy and it was so uncomfortable. Then we went to Taco Bell just down the road, but the Taco Bell didn’t live up to what I thought it would. They didn’t really have burrito bowls like Guzman y Gomez, I remember liking it a lot better last time. But then after that we had our first trip to Walgreens and bought some stuff, then we walked around Hollywood for a while, we saw the stars on the walk of fame, we saw the Chinese Theatre, we saw all the other theatres and even saw Vin Diesel and Jamie Foxx at a Star Ceremony!
We got tired really quickly and made our way back to the hotel via Trader Joes which I really wanted to go to because people I watch on Youtube talk about going there. Trader Joes is a grocery store which sells a lot of organic products, it is a little bit expensive, but there are no other supermarkets around where we are staying so we haven’t had a choice.
For the rest of the day we just cooked and slept and then got up early for our big next day.
Yesterday, 29th of May, we got up early and had breakfast and then headed down to Hollywood because we had a sight seeing tour booked. We were early so we walked around and took some photos. I am taking mostly film photos but I am also taking some on my phone.
The tour started late because we were waiting for another group to arrive who didn’t even show up. But we left and soon realised that we had been lied to by the guy that sold us the tickets because we didn’t get out to take photos, we didn’t go to Bel Air or up close to the Hollywood sign. But we got a tour of West Hollywood, Beverly Hills residential and business district and we got to take a picture of the Hollywood sign from a distance. The bus driver made a diversion to Bel Air because Mum and I kept asking if we were going there. So I got to see the Bel Air sign and take a picture of the gate and see it, which was nice since it was the whole reason we booked the tour.

We didn’t realise that we had to tip the driver when we booked the tour, but I tipped him $15 and Mum tipped him $11.
After the tour, we stopped for lunch which we had prepared, I just had a sanga and Mum ate leftover food. Then we went to Madame Tussards which I had never been to before. I saw all of the wax sculptures which looked so realistic of famous people. There were only a few I did not know. I had fun pretending to pose with the famous people and especially in the horror section. Then we went on this interactive Avengers movie which I didn’t really like because my 3D glasses didn’t work properly and I didn’t like water spraying on me or things touching me.

Then after Madame Tussards we caught the train out to Santa Monica and walked along the pier for a bit which was really pretty, but I was just getting really tired and wanted to go back to the hotel to eat, cook, shower and sleep.
We also saw Jimmy Kimmel Live in Hollywood, his star is just outside the studio.

First time on a Los Angeles train!

Santa Monica pier.
It took us like 2 1/2 hours to get back from Santa Monica as we also stopped at Trader Joes and Walgreens again on the way back to pick up a couple of things. We ate, cooked and then pretty much just went to bed.
I didn’t get a good sleep again because I was woken up at 3am by the man across the hall from us talking really loudly on the phone and he was on the phone for ages. Then when I finally got back to sleep, he banged on the door and woke us up at 7am. Very annoying.
Today we are catching public transport out to Anaheim which will take around 3 hours, we don’t have anything major planned for the rest of the day, maybe I can finally buy a SIM card because I’m still living on wifi which is only at hotels.
I can’t wait for Disneyland, I’ve wanted to go there for a long time. However Disneyland is very expensive to buy a ticket for and so I ended up just buying a single park pass for me and Mum from Klook, a third party website, as it was a little bit cheaper. So we will only go to the traditional Disneyland and not the California theme park next door. But that’s okay. We will still have a great time :)

Guidelines To Follow Before Hiring a Limo Services Company
Before hiring a limo services company there are several things to keep in mind. If you are in the market to be hiring a limo in the future you will want to ensure that you choose the best possible company to rent from as well as getting the best deal you can. This can be accomplished by keeping a few tips in mind when you are shopping around.
As you are looking at cars and companies it is important to remember what exactly you need. You do not want to overspend on a car that is far more than you will have use for. If you have a large group planning to ride then a luxury stretch limo will come in handy. Otherwise you could probably do with a smaller vehicle and save some money. Do not waste time with a company that does not provide the car you need. anaheim limo service
While looking at the company and their rates you want to find out what services are offered for the prices that they give you. Cheaper is not always the better option. Many times the less expensive alternative will offer a service that is less than what you would get for paying just a little more. On the same thought you do not want to necessarily pay an outrageous amount for services you do not need. So try to find a mid-level company that offers more service with a reasonable price tag.
Oftentimes you will find that there are discounts available. It never hurts to search and see if you can locate some. You can try looking online, surfing through coupons and even calling the company to see if they have any special promotions. Sometimes you can save a good amount of money simply by asking. Orange County limo service
The only thing you will find to be as important as the limo itself is the driver. You want a courteous and respectful driver who helps in any way possible. This may extend beyond just opening your door. Be sure that you opt for the company that offers a considerate driver who has good manners. It should not be a problem to inquire about the drivers and even ask to meet one.
Your safety and the safety of those with you should be a top priority. You should always ensure that the company you select has been registered and licensed to provide the service they offer. Also check into whether the driver is trained in limousine driving and has the required licensing. Finally, you want to make sure that the company has insurance to protect all of its passengers. Orange County Party Bus
The best thing you can do for yourself once you have found the perfect limo company, car and driver is to book your event well in advance. These services tend to fill up quite fast and you may find that procrastination leads to your choice of car or driver being gone on the date you want them. The earlier you can make your plans the better it will be for you.
If you follow these tips, you are well on your way to finding the perfect company. You can weed out the services that do not meet your needs. Just take all of this into consideration before hiring a limo services company.

Never To Be Heard From Again
A waiter in his late thirties to early forties with tan skin who was drinking coffee from a paper cup with no lid. He owned an older American pickup truck and was looking for something different, no particular preference on what “different” would be. During our test drive he explained how he was tired of San Clemente, he’d been here for 20 years and felt like he was being pushed out by the high rent, escalating cost of living and airbnb. He was thinking of moving, Arkansas perhaps. He said he’d think about it and get back to me. I never heard from him again.
A surfing minister from San Clemente who was car shopping for a friend who lived in Idaho. He was probably 65 and wearing a Tommy Bahama style Hawaiian shirt from what I imagine to be a closet full of Tommy Bahama style Hawaiian Shirts. We talked about the summer waves and he invited me to stop by his RV next time I was at San O’. His friend from Idaho was looking for a car to keep in southern California, but the broken automatic rear window made him nervous. He texted me and said they were thinking about it and would let me know. I never heard from him again.
Two short, skinny brothers from Russia who live in LA.. They marveled at how nice and quaint San Clemente seemed to them while twisting Bali Shag hand rolled cigarettes. The one I took to be the older brother had a scruffy beard, sunglasses and wore a tank top, short athletic shorts, socks with sandals and a fanny pack. He looked the car over, then turned to our 1986 Honda scooter, smiled and declared “You know style!” in a thick accent. His brother and my potential buyer had curly dark hair, a slim mustache, and was wearing a baggy designer t shirt, jogging pants and some variation of expensive Adidas training sneakers. He said he worked in the film industry and needed a car big enough to carry gear for work. I didn’t want to know what film industry. They liked the car, more for its image than anything else and were happy to see that the AC worked. The mustached one offered me $3000, I mulled it over dramatically and said I would take $3200. We agreed to meet next week and make the transaction. A few days later he texted me saying “sorry man, I changed my mind”. I never heard from them again.
A mechanic from Anaheim who emailed me with a long list of questions, he seemed very interested at first. I never heard from him again.
A really nice man in his fifties who worked for the LA Stormwater Pollution Department. He was Middle Eastern and said he had owned older model BMW’s in the past and preferred them to new cars. We talked about the environment as he examined the deteriorating headliner. He texted me saying that the repairs to the interior would be expensive and he didn’t want to insult me with a low offer. I never heard from him again.
A seemingly normal, yet cool younger couple who live in LA and started the discussion by bluntly asking if I’d “be comfortable driving it across country right now?” I told them as honestly as possible that I wouldn’t drive anything across the country without some preparation and that applied to this 1992 BMW as well. The woman was tall and blond and from Australia and looking for an older car like the Volvo she had a few years ago. Her partner was shorter than her and dressed neatly, yet a bit nerdy. He admitted he knew “fuck-all” about cars. They were both going through career changes; she some sort of an artist who was teaching, he an ex-IT professional who had worked at Vice Media, had returned to school to be a teacher and was attempting to substitute teach for the time being, but school was out for the summer. We bonded over the current woes of the world and she said the car was fun to drive. They said they had another car to look at that day and I never heard from them again.
A guy who kept texting me from Houston and wanted to drive it out, then asked if I could ship it to him. I never heard from him again.
A slightly dorky couple who lived in Santa Ana. They left me a drivers license as collateral and took the car for an inspection at a local foreign specialized mechanic. Three hours later they returned and asked if I would accept a few hundred less than my asking price. I said sure. She had just finished a grad program and wanted a station wagon to drive to Alabama. I winced, took their money and never heard from them again.

Kamen Rider Re:Generations: Enter Zero-One
September 1, 2019 A.D.
It is the year 2019 A.D. Humans and HumaGears co-exist in peace. And while there are some that try and disrupt the peace, nothing major had ever occurred. Until now, that is…
In the busling state of Michigan, New Daybreak Town is the technological utopia one can ever imagined. It is a place where technology is commonplace. The economy is held by 5 major companies: Chase Industries, GloboDigiDyne, Hiden Intelligience, Anaheim Electronics & ZAIA Enterprise. They were instrumental in the creation of the city. With all of their combined resources, they created a place where technology could flourish.
Enter James Lancaster, an ordinary teen trying a make it big in the city. Having grown up with just his mother, his twin sister, Emily, and his 2 neighbours, Rachel Lee Avalon and Athena Jane Monterose, James didn’t have a lot of friends. He was just, there, all by himself.
It was a cold morning at Café Attoms. James was just chilling with his tea, along with Athena. Just recently, Adrienne Attoms, the owner of the Café, had recently acquired Humagears for the café’s staff, working alongside normal people. “Well, that’s another of my Rainbow Foam sold to the masses.” She told herself. Meanwhile, James was talking to Athena about themselves. “Another day has passed in New Daybreak Town, hasn’t it, Athena?” He asked her, to which she replies; “I guess so. This is a fantastic place to live in.”
Meanwhile, at the Hiden Intelligience Building, Dr. Sigourney Gaines is working on a Humagear that isn’t job-specific. It was her magnum opus, and something she wanted to do. At the same time, she was involved with the Zero-One Project, in which she provided the data needed to calibrate the belt. If ever something went awry with the Humagears, then they would use said belt to defeat them.
It just so happened to be that a Humagear in Café Attoms was secretly plotting to kill Adrienne. Pulling out a Zetsumeriser and Berothra Zetsumerise Key he got from an external force. Equipping it on his waist, he grins in the mirror before transforming.
“Berothra!” Zetsumerise!”
The Berothra Magia makes its appearance and starts terrorizing the cafégoers, including James and Athena. Without any chance, the former decided to fight back. But it was no use, as the Magia started beating up James without a flinch. The two managed to escape out the battlefield, with James battered and bruised.
As the Zero-One Driver was near completion, Dr. Gaines did something that maximizes the flexibility of the belt; the lack of authorization. But it came with a cost: It’s loss of security. Anyone is able to use it and it could spell doom if it falls in the wrong hands. This problem was the reason why she decided to put the authorization back, but it was through the belt itself and not through Izu, although that was removed shortly after. Once this was all said and done, the Zero-One Driver was placed in a suitcase alongside the Rising Hopper Progrise Key.
Back in the café, the Berothra Magia continues its rampage throughout the street. With James in an unfightable state, Athena brought him out of the battlefield and into a good hiding spot. Meanwhile, Dr. Gaines was rushing to find the perfect candidate for the Zero-One Driver, nearly getting herself killed in the process. James was able to get her to safety, which prompted Dr. Gaines to bring the Zero-One Driver out and placed it on James’ waist. This later prompted the latter’s connection to Zea and his arrival. Normally, James is confused as to why this is happening.
But then, he meets Izu, the secretary of Hiden Intelligience of Japan’s CEO, Aruto Hiden. She explains to him that the he was chosen by Zea itself to become Zero-One. “So you wanted me to become Zero-One, huh? I guess it’s worth a shot.” With that, he decided to go into VR Training, and within minutes, returns to the battlefield.
As the Berotha Magia continues its rampage, James steps up and faces the Magia all on his own, but not before Dr. Gaines throwing the Rising Hopper Progrise Key, with James catching it. As the Magia charges its attack, James begins the transformation.
“Jump!” “Authorise!”
Zea transmits the Rising Hopper Rider Model at high speeds, just as the Berothra Magia was about to attack. Luckily, the Rider Model was able to block the attack before it made its impact. As the Ridel Model hops around, James opens the Progrise Key and slotting it into the Zero-One Driver, yelling “Henshin!” as he does so.
"Progrise! To-bia ga rise! Rising Hopper! A jump to the sky turns to a Rider Kick."
Kamen Rider Zero-One, the first Kamen Rider of the Reiwa Era, makes his appearance. Shocked at the sight of this, the Berotha Magia charged at James, only for the latter to evade the attack. Right now, James is top of a building, trying to figure out his next move. That’s when Athena and Dr. Gaines arrived. “James, you got any plans?” Athena asked. However, James proceeded to jump down the building and charged towards the Magia. However, he made use of Rising Hopper’s incredible jumping abilities, evading the Berothra Magia’s blades with ease.
After dodging the blades, Zero-One caught the Attache Calibur and used it to slash across the Berothra Magia’s torso, giving him a significant amount of damage. Afterwards, with the Magia heavily damaged, and James far away from him, the latter is prepared to execute the finisher.
“Rising Impact!”
As he charge towards the Berothra Magia, Zero-One kicks him in the air and jump into the sky. After that, he destroys the Magia, and lands safely on the road. Dr. Gaines and Athena came out of the woodwork and checked up on James. “You okay there, James?” Athena asked him, to which he says yes.
“Is this an isolated case?” He asked himself.
The following day…
The day after, Adrienne had to contact Hiden Intelligience for a replacement after the incident. After that, she ended up talking to James. “I’m actually glad you went and stopped that guy, chico. If you haven’t, the café would’ve been in ruins.” Adrienne told him. “Thanks for the compliment.” He told her.
Later that day, James went to the Hiden Intelligience building and visited Dr. Gaines. “So, you want me to become Zero-One?” The former asked her, to which she says yes. He wanted to know why. “I gave it to you because someone like you can do great things.” She explained. “The world needs a Kamen Rider, and you are one of them.”
After hearing this, James agrees to become Kamen Rider Zero-One.
The End…

Fixing Sports One Stupid Idea At A Time
PETA Urges MLB to Replace 'Bullpen' with 'Arm Barn'
Every time in my life I heard the phrase 'Bullpen', the mental image it invoked was of relief pitchers sitting together in an area way out there in left field with their rally caps on waiting to be called into the game.

Never once do I recall thinking about a bull about to be slaughtered. Anyway....Arm Barn?
But it does bring up the global elephant-in-the-room problem with sports terminology.
Does 'dugout' remind you of a grave? Ugh. Everyone has had a loved one in their life pass away. Horrible and uncalled for to be reminded of this every time you try to relax and enjoy a baseball game. This needs to change.
Aren't the phrases 'benched' and 'sidelined' insults used when someone is punished for not performing? Just watching baseball or football now negatively affects your self esteem as you are reminded of those times when you weren't up to the task. (I'm in need of a safe space just thinking about it.)
These terms need to be eliminated from sports vernacular and replaced by 'Pre-Play' or 'Post-Play' areas.
And in almost all sports whenever I hear "locker room" it makes me think of locks and being locked up. Why do we need to further insult prisoners? Aren't they suffering enough already? Ripped from the bosoms of their families and loved ones only because of society's failure to address their needs. I'm sure they cringe every time the word 'locker' is viciously hurled at them.
OK, then let's just call the locker rooms: 'Pre-Pre-Play', 'Post-Post-Play', "Pre-Post-Play' or 'Post-Pre-Play' areas.
The new term for parking lots will just need an additional couple of 'Pre's' or 'Post's' for players and staff. We can extend the use of the term for the tailgaters in the lot to eating and drinking in the "Pre-Watching and Post Watching' areas and I think we will be good-to-go there.
Doesn't the 'drafting' of players in sports invoke militaristic images of young humans of all 86 major genders conscripted from their societal units into killing squads to go murder and subjugate innocent other humans of maybe even more as-yet-undiscovered genders around the world?
And even worse, doesn't the whole idea of selecting some humans to become wealthy and idolized via this quote-unquote 'draft' - while ignoring the rights of those not allowed to participate - go against all that we hold dear as wokesters?
A name change isn't going to do it. This unfair selection of the wealthy and influential based on merit alone must be replaced by a simple, equitable, national lottery.
Fast forward to a better world:
"Hey Vern, they pulled my number! I'm going to be pitching for the New York Yankees!"
"Wait Billy Bob, ignoring the fact you've never played baseball, isn't 'pitch' what they used to use to tar and feather people?"
"You are right Vern." "I'm going to be tossing the old pill for the Yankees!"
"Hold up BB." 'Pill' makes me think of drugs and homelessness." "My cousin is living on the street and relying on the government for his next fix. Not fair."
"OK Vern, how about, I'm gonna do some stuff for the Yankees".
"Think BB! Yankees? Oppression? Subjugation? Civil War? Slavery?" "I don't like the sound of that at all."
"Got it! From now on, I will doing stuff for 'That Team From The North East That Is Not Boston Or Philadelphia'. "GO TTFTNETINBOPer's!"
Where was I? Lost my train of thought.
Oh yeah, Hockey.
Isn't the term 'Hockey Puck' a slur? (I take full responsibility in admitting that I've used that term in my unwoke past. My only excuse is that I was referring to my teacher, my manager and to the driver of that blue Prius. It had nothing to do with race, creed, religion, gender or country of origin)
Just to be safe, during the game let's refer to this 'puck thing' based on what it really is:
"The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim steal the vulcanized flat, cylindrical rubber object with an overall diameter of 3" (76.2 mm) and height/thickness of 1” (25.4 mm) with a mass of 5.5-6 oz (156-170 g) and skate like the wind towards the Rangers' net!"
I admit that this may be a little cumbersome for the announcer to throw out in the heat and action of the Stanly Cup Finals so let's just go with 'flat ball'. However, and this is vital, the color of the 'flat ball' or the color of the ice must never be mentioned.
Then again, Hockey is pretty much only played by males - just the sight of which probably causes a lot fear and anxiety among fragile young college persons who are not males - so it might be easier to just eliminate the sport entirely. Who watches it anymore anyway?
Take this post as the start of my global sports-term re-alignment, re-imaging, build back better program.
Checkers? "King Me!" Really? Chess? "Kings, Queens, Knights and Pawns" Where to begin with this one? The Ping Pong 'Paddle' with it's images of child abuse in schools? (Don't remind me.)
The Basketball 'free throw'? Is it really free? If so, why doesn't everyone deserve one? Being penalized for 'traveling'? Whoa, images of imprisonment! Traveling is a basic civil right.
Tennis? With it's 'love', 'deuce' and 'advantage' references bringing up images of sex and bodily functions - not to mention reminding many poor unfortunates of their less advantaged lives? The devil must be proud of this one.
Is the Track and Field term 'high' jump a secret 'do drugs' dog whistle? So, so casually tossed out by hedonists to the developing young minds watching and listening.
I've got a lot of work to do.
The only sport I won't be addressing is Soccer. Not sure what they do, or why they do it, or what you call what it is that they do.
