as a june birthday, trapp saying that summer birthdays have to be removed from the running for happiest birthday because you can't force your classmates to shower you with attention is so true. i remember how everyone else's birthday was a big event in class in elementary school that i had to celebrate in. but when my birthday came around? i did not get that same treatment.

hi i haven’t posted on this blog in literal years but i’m thinking of possibly repurposing it as a play it by ear/dropout/off book/zach and jess blog. not sure yet stay tuned for updates

#mine #i’m still really autistic about dropout but in a VERY different way than i was in 2019-2020 #i haven’t finished a d20 season since mice & murder and i no longer have a parasocial relationship with ally #i do however have a parasocial relationship with zach and jess #i watched the first pibe episode about a year ago and it spiraled from there #and their work has actually been a huge creative influence for me and has helped me figure out that i want to work in entertainment #and also i want to kiss them both on the mouth #and rn i’m being very autistic about pibe specifically which is perfect timing bc some semblance of a fandom for it is starting to develop #and i could just keep posting about it on main and that would be fine but i like having a specific space for things

the fb event for that show in april just popped up on my feed and. wow. the reality of that just. sank in. i really agreed on a whim to go to a show two hours away with two people i barely know. that's. hrm. go me!

#its really nothing honestly #but i was one of those kids whod wake up at 5am everyday #and joke it was bc i was preparing for college #and i was geared up to at least go to a Good state college and had all these plans for Success #said id never let myself develop unhealthy coping mechanisms #and was in complete denial of any sort of exploratory identity #and now im a starving artist community college dropout with an eating disorder reliant on stimulants #its just. Jarring to realise #and really this one thing is just emblematic of the Whole Thing ykwim #also it cost $35 in total which feels ridiculous but. eh. whatever

Intro

hi everyone! my name is Lala the Leo and I am creating this blog to help keep track of my learning journey and to motivate me.

I am going to be taking The Odin Project: Foundations + Full Stack JavaScript in order to become a full stack developer. I've been lost in terms of direction for a while and I got pointed in this one which has caught my interest so I decided to take a chance.

I am going to be self-studying Mandarin and my goal is to get to HSK 3. I visited China 6 years ago in my final year of high school and it made me fall in love with the language and the culture so I've been wanting to learn and now I can.

I also have my learner's driving test in 8 days and it is my second try so I really want to get this time around so I can get around easier and explore my city.
