so I made the mistake of listening to the character songs sung by the voice actors and it sparked a buggy centric mad max style musician/music au and I cant get it out of my head
here is a google doc with all the details and my reasonings
I tried not to change much about one piece's wacky world since I love it so much
#one piece#buggy the clown#dracule mihawk#sir crocodile#red haired shanks#myarttt#I was also thinking 'in what world could buggy be the main character' and i was like if one piece was centered around preformance ....#hence buggy centric#I have ideas for the straw hats too but theyre really loose#zoro using a three headed guitar which exists and is super cool#nami is their social media manager and also drives the bus till they get jimbei of course ussop is hypeman and manages the bus too#I waffled a lot between drums or main singer for luffy and sanji#because sanji has beautiful stage presence and voice but gets forgotten like a drummer would#vs luffy who is VERY drum coded but also MAIN presence#the straw hat is still the strawhat in this universe and follows the same progression#oh yea mihawks guitar pick is special because it doubles as a beer opener#ALSO ALSO THE COOLEST THING crocs saxophone design is based on a real one handed saxophone that is SUPER awesome#it was custom made for a sax player and there is like a pdf of its design online#these designs are pre crossguilds also I have a whole makeover idea for when they decide to do the crossguilds#that ill draw eventually

the rest of the cast got their new song covers, so i wanted to try putting the others in a band :>
i did want to make it look a bit like an album cover but i have no idea how those are designed so eh?? i also couldn't think of any band or album/song names so. if anyone has any ideas...
#art#obey me#obey me raphael#jtta ik#obey me mephistopheles#obey me thirteen#from left to right they are: lead singer/rhythm guitar - drummer - lead guitar - bass#tbh any of them could've taken any role but bassist girl thirteen spoke to me and raph canonically sings well so that felt like it fit#i did consider ik as lead but she'd absolutely shred on the drums. she has so much pent-up rage to let out...#in context this is for a music festival diavolo's putting on but it'd be a fun au as well#i like to think thirteen is the overwhelming favourite of all the fangirls#also in terms of band name...#i was thinking something based on the fact that there's one of each species (human/demon/angel/reaper) but what word can i use for that#jo has suggested something involving the numbers 3 and 4 for 3 realms and 4 members#3.4HZ Harmony was the best we could come up but it feels like there should be a sorta other-world element to it#then again if it's an au then i guess they'd all be humans anyway#ah whatever#life and work related obligations have been growing so naturally i've been starting a bunch of creative endeavours to try to get away from#is this a long term good thing for future career prospects? probably not. but i'd rather be happy

#impulsesv#skizzleman#hermitcraft#soul eater#✩ | bonnies scribbles!#THEIR OUTFITS ARE BASED ON ALL THE COOL PARTS OF DRUMLINE OUTFITS I SAW!!#i cant remember how wavelengths work exactly but i think it would be so cool if at least some of them resembled songs -#- so that this pair could work for their combo move!!!#they can use each other in weapon form and carry around 'decoy sticks' that look like each others weapon form to make a pair when fighting#for sure close range weapons for a bunch of moves!!! i imagine the 'drum' would be their opponents body#they hit pressure points -- im really just looking at a deep/loud sound - like the one where you can feel your whole heart shaking#i think they would for sure also hit points in the ground as well - like in structures that have weak points - especially with Skizz#imp's little holder on the top bar of his outfit is magnetic and can move!! it usually holds sticks or other smaller weapons!#they usually look for a meister who can drum/they think has any rhythm as opposed to using each other#their wavelengths are extremely different - which makes their combo move: Polyrhythm Rupture! very hard to pull off#Imp is for sure used for closer percise range - while Skizz is used as chaotic sporadic damage#yay for youtube helping me figure out things!

Festival "AU"
Our favorite admiral in a slightly different environment. I dont know why but I think that Ar'alani would love Taiko drums.
It's so boring to always draw the same imperial or chiss uniforms so here's something for a change. Thats the only thing i dont like about star wars, the repetitive designs in the clothes. I am more the Fantasy /asian like typ, the is something in this style I really like a lot.

THE ANIMALS IS HERE!!!!!!!#i've had the idea for this project for over a year now.... so glad i was able to actually make it happen!! 🥹#this is my first time ever making a diorama like this so it's a little rough in some areas bUT the handmade nature is what i was aiming for#hAD TO DRAW EVERYONE'S HEIGHT DIFFERENCES.
