Eddie dies.
There's nothing.
Then…there's something.
He isn’t alive but he isn’t dead either.
There's a voice echoing in his head. It's raspy, chilling. Promising him everything. Life. Power. Strength. The ability to destroy everyone who ever hurt him. To kill the town that chased him to his death.
All he has to do is accept the offer.
Be his champion.
Yes.
He feels the promise in his new fangs, tastes his own blood on his lips. Feels the life rushing to his fingertips as they sharpen into claws. Feels the power in every muscle in his once weak body as he stands to take his place next to Vecna.
But as he dons the mantle of Kas, lets himself become Vecna’s champion, the place where his heart used to beat fills with noise. Other voices clamoring for a hold on him.
Never tell me the odds.
My name is Lady AppleJack.
I’m not sure if I love the idea of you driving.
Don’t try to be heroes.
Never change Henderson.
Wasn’t planning on it.
I didn’t run away this time, right?
No, no, you didn’t run.
Take care of the sheep for me.
No, you’re gonna do that yourself.
Say you’re gonna look after them.
I’m gonna look after them.
I think it’s finally my year.
I love you, man.
I love you, too.
Eddie?
Eddie?
No. Come on!
Ed—
Eddie!!
The last voice anchors something in his chest, chains itself to the last dregs of his humanity. Henderson. He hides it away from the prying mind of the Lich. Keeps it safe.
Keeps it secret.
It waits.
To be heard.
To be needed.
To be the voice, the anchor, that binds Eddie to the family he found along the way.
To be a sword when the final die is rolled.
I love you, man.
I love you, too.

EddieHawk? *name in progress*
Listen, come closer. Steddie LadyHawke AU. I know, I know, it's been done before but they modernized it.
Picture this.
Sir Stephan as head of the guard for Bishop William (Billy) and they both fall for the beautiful and ethereal Eddie. He is the adopted nephew of Lord Wayne and crowning jewel of the small principality of Hawkins.
Sir Stephan and Eddie know that they can't wed under the eye of Prince Henry (Vecna) and Bishop William plan to run away together and elope.
Max not knowing that her guardian the Bishop is madly in love with Eddie, tells him of their plans thinking that he could help them get away.
The Bishop is enraged that they would even think of running away and with the help of the Prince place a curse on the pair.
Five years later and Robin, who is a thief and escape artist extraordinaire breaks out of the town prison which was said to be inescapable.
Sir Thomas, the new head of the guard and the Bishop's right hand man is intent on capturing her to find out how she escaped.
She just happens to run into Sir Thomas and the guard right where Sir Stephan was trying to make it back to the center of Hawkins to kill the Bishop and he accidentally rescues her.
But in their running, they move farther away from the Hawkins much to Sir Stephan's ire. When they stop for the night, even though there is still plenty of daylight left, Robin gets annoyed. She wants to get away from the bad men after, stopping now does not accomplish that. So Stephan tells her to leave.
Robin weighs the two options and stays with the buff dude with a very big sword. And strangely a beautiful raven.
Stephan tells her that if she sees a large wolf, run away. Don't engage. He will not be responsible if it eats her.
Robin is confused, there haven't been wolves in the area in decades. But she doesn't argue afraid he'll just leave her behind. He also tells her that when the sun sets to lay out the clothing in right saddle bag and do not talk to the man who comes to get them.
So she does what she's told.
Mostly.
She talks to the young man. Learns his name is Edwin, but everyone calls him Eddie. He's sweet and awkward. And if she was attracted to men, she might just fall in love with him.
The wolf appears and Robin is terrified. But oddly Eddie is not.
Come morning, Stephan is back and the beautiful man is gone. Stephan calls to the raven and he lands on Robin's arm not Stephan's. And ooh boy does that cause a stir.
"I'm gay you daft creature!" she hisses, "Go back to your master!"
Stephan laughs for the first time and the raven lands on Stephan's wrist.
But the guard has caught up with them and a stray arrow hits the raven. Stephan is distraught. Terrified.
He rides for miles, hard and fast to a small fortress. It's run by a group of outcasts. Max, El, Dustin, Will, Mike, and Lucas. All run out of Hawkins for one reason or another.
Max carries the heaviest sin by far.
Stephan yells at the gate. "Come down here and help him. Now!"
They all come running and Robin is confused.
While El and Will seek to heal the bird, Max and Dustin feed Robin. She's worried about Stephan. But Dustin tells her Mike and Lucas have him.
Robin catches Will and El covering the body of a naked Eddie with a wound in his shoulder right where the raven was shot. So she gets the truth out of Max and Dustin about the curse that binds them together but keeps them apart. At night Eddie is a human and Stephan a wolf, and during the day, Stephan is a human and Eddie the raven. Never can they see each other.
Robin is upset. That's horrible.
But the Party has a plan. They just have to get Stephan to agree to it.
Come morning the bird is fully healed and they set off again, Max and Dustin following behind. Stephan refuses to listen to their plan and insists his going to kill the Bishop will break the curse.
The bishop is tired of waiting and sends out a wolf hunter, Yuri to kill Stephan.
There is a harrowing moment that night when poor Eddie and Robin think Stephan has been caught in one of these traps, but thanks to the quick thinking of Max and Robin they kill the hunter in one of his own traps.
But it's too close for comfort. They need to end this and fast.
They travel all day, getting nearer to the city once again. When they camp at night, it's near a frozen lake that they had skirted that morning.
Only when the wolf attempts to cross it, he falls in. And with everyone's help and the big ass sword, Robin manages to save the wolf.
In the morning before the sun fully comes over the horizon, Robin makes a lean-to casting Eddie in shadow long enough for Stephan to be human long enough to see Eddie before he fully transforms into a bird.
Robin tells Stephan that she lost the sword in the lake and Stephan in his anger pushes her. She lands on the ground and he sees the great big gouges from where the wolf had scratched her helping him out of the lake.
He apologies and hugs her.
They make it to the town and Max insists that if Stephan waits until the eclipse to kill the Bishop the curse will be broke for sure. But Stephan can't trust her. Tells her to kill Eddie if he fails. If the bells ring, he's failed.
He goes in and with a sword he takes off a soldier he kills attacks Mass.
He kills Tommy but before he can kill the Bishop, one of the guards manage to ring the bell just as the eclipse starts. Stephan is gutted.
But before he can kill himself, Eddie comes running in human.
The Bishop is pissed and tries to kill Eddie with his staff, but Robin slides Stephan's sword to him and he kills the Bishop, ending the curse for good.
*cradles your face in my hands* Do you, you see the vision? Can you? Because I can.

Hello! First I wanted to say I have really been enjoying all the snippets you've been posting! I wanted to participate in your prompt game, but I wasn't sure exactly what to do so I just picked one one prompt from each board to go together, I hope that's ok! Thank you for sharing your work!!
From the prompt boards:
1. Spells/kept as a pet
2. Masked ball/human experiments
3. Crystal Ball/hypnotism
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you liked them! And you did it right, so don't worry about it.
Prompt 1 - It's forbidden to go out into the woods at night as legend says that a terrible evil lurks there. Not that Steve has much of a choice as the local bullies, aka his former friends, chase him into them after he defends some of the other village kids against their onslaught. Before he and his former friend know it, night falls upon them, and they discover that the legends are true, an evil entity does lurk in the shadows of the trees. The bullies are slaughtered outright, but the creature, Eddie, is interested in Steve's pure heart. He casts a spell over Steve, binding him to his service and causing him to forget his old life. All he knows is that he is his master's pet, and his master takes good care of him.
Prompt 2 - Evil wizard Eddie has long since coveted the prince of Loch Nora, but none of his attempts to woo him have gone well and the magic surrounding the palace is too great. He finally gets his chance when a masked ball is announced. No one suspects that Eddie would go as far as to steal the invitation of a noble and go in their place, but he does. He arrives at the ball with no one the wiser and finally is able to take Steve as his own, bringing him back to his tower where he can reshape him at his leisure. Of course, the party-goers don't get off that easy as they had denied him the prince for so long. As punishment, he decides to let them be the test subjects of a few of his more experimental spells, turning the nobles into Eddie's own personal guinea pigs.
Prompt 3 - After a bad break-up, Steve is talked into taking the Party to a Ren Faire since his weekends are suddenly free. There he finds a small, out of the way tent with a sign claiming to hold a fortuneteller. The Party goads him into giving it a try (Dustin especially since he's worried Steve is going to keep striking out forever!) and makes his way inside the tent. Eddie is the fortuneteller, who tells Steve to look deeply into the crystal ball. Instead of telling the future, Eddie uses the crystal ball to hypnotize his patrons. Steve appears especially receptive to Eddie's commands, so he decides to make Steve's wish come true and helps out his love life by using the crystal ball to make Steve not only fall in love with him, but to become Eddie's sub to play with as he likes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What they called the Upside is what you call a hell hold; right now, you were with Eddie and Dustin; you guys were inside the upside-down version of Eddie's trailer, back to back, holding homemade versions of weapons.
Spears and shields, you would think of never thought of this predicament, especially if it involved your siblings; you should have never admitted to this.
But now, you guys were scared out of your boots, waiting for the time of the human-eating, probably starving bats were outside, finding a way inside.
You really thought it was clear, and rested your tensed-up shoulder, they found a way to the vent on the roof. They were starving, there were hissing, all you ran towards the vent and started stabbing them with your spears.
"Why did I admit to this" you groan in regret.
"..I have no idea," Eddie muttered
You looked at him, annoyed at his answer,
"..Aren't you my boyfriend? Shouldn't you be giving me reasons I came at least!" you grumbled, looking away from him.
"Can't you think for yourself, Y/N? You are a big girl now!" he smiled at you.
"Are you calling me fat?" crossing your arms.
After what he said, you guys started arguing, like if it wasn't enough, you were in the world of monsters.
"Uh, guys!" Dustin whispered and yelled.
You and Eddie were still arguing and ignoring Dustin; it made you angry at the fact he had the nerve to say that.
"GUYS!" Dustin yelled out, which caught your and Eddie's attention,,
"What!" you guys said in sync.
"A-are there any more vents or openings in here" Dustin stuttered, looking around.
"Shit," Eddie grumbled and ran to the nearest vent, but it was too late, the bats were flooding into the room.
The next thing you hear is a loud slam from the door, "We need to go." Eddie yelled
The next thing you can remember is being near the gate to the human world(?); Dustin was the first to climb the binding rope, then it was your turn; you did hesitate; something inside you felt like something terrible was going to happen.
"Please don't do anything stupid, Eddie," you told him and climbed the rope, landing on the mattress. You looked up at the gate and anxiously waited for Eddie; something was etched on Dustin's face.
"...Eddie!" you yelled,
"Eddie, what are you doing?" Dustin yelled
He never came down; the next thing you heard made your heart drop.
"I'm going to buy us some time" he yelled out
"..Is he serious."
Dustin had a scared look on his face, "Dustin, can you pass me a chair" you yelled.
"What are you doing? ....What do I tell Lucas if you don't make it back."
"Don't question me, boy, pass me the damn chair" you looked at him with a piss-off expression.
He complied with your request, and you jumped into that shitty hell hold. '..And I told him not to do anything fucking stupid." you grumbled,
The fall wasn't too good, you landed on your legs if it wasn't the worse thing ever. You didn't see Eddie anywhere, this worried you.
If this wasn't the worse thing, the bats had to be the worse thing, they were there too. You ran outside and close the door so fast, that a cheetah would be jealous.
You looked around, couldn't see anything but you did see something missing, a bike. 'He didn't, not on my watch", you started running faster than you did before, faster than you did track, faster than you could ever think your body could move.
Thank the heaven above that he was still alive but wasn't doing too good. You didn't stop running though, even if you were in heat of danger you just need to stop him from this suicidal task.
You pacing yourself, and run to Eddie, pushing him over from getting his head removed.
"What the hell was that Eddie" you yelled at him.
He didn't answer you or didn't seem too interested in what you had to say, "..Did you know what you just did, Eddie. Your head almost fucking came off, you have cuts everywhere" you screamed letting your anger out.
That must have been the final straw for him because he came with the same energy.
"You know what I did, I have been running my whole fucking life, Y/N. I just wanted to seek some time of redemption I was looking for my whole, life at least not dying a fucking coward for once" he yelled, you have never seen this side of Eddie, the angry side.
Tears slowly stain your face, "Y-you could have died, you know that" you yelled in anger.
"Y-you could have died", "Eddie...I won't know what to do without you, ed" you caress his face.
"..Y/N.."
"..I'm sorry" Eddie dejected
"You shouldn't be; I should be sorry.", Soon, you and Eddie shared a passionately kiss. But the danger wasn't cleared at least yet. The enemy was near.
"We gotta go, Eddie," you whispered; you ripped off a piece of your shirt and wrapped it onto Eddie's wound, "This will hurt" you pressed the fabric onto his wound, at least stopping the blood flow.
You hauled him onto your back and held onto his legs, trying to run but couldn't because damn, who knew he weight that much. You managed to get him back to the trailer, but the hardest part for getting him out.
"Dustin can you catch something heavy" you yelled out the gate
"I guess so, why"
"Just get prepared"
You got Eddie's body into the human world; now it's just you.
To summarize, you both managed to make it alive; you did have to hesitate to get him to hospital with the allegations of him being a satanist, but you had to you couldn't see him in pain.
☆ Time Skip
To summarize, Eddie lived even with the wound on his stomach; Eddie made an arrest for the counts of Chrissy's death and the deaths of others but managed to be not guilty of the counts of murder throughout Hawkins. He also beat the satanist allegations and rumors around Hawkins and earned compensations in the law of justice, it seems too good to be accurate, but you were happy to see Eddie not having to hide. The good part is that you and Eddie got to graduate from Hawkins. Eddie's career as being rockstar flourished, and his band became a lot popular, gaining a lot of fans. Needless you were happy.
You went to college, and Eddie didn't, but he still supported your life choices.
☆ 5 years later
You and Eddie decided to move out of Hawkins to go to California and move into a Spanish Mediterranean architecture home. The future for you and Eddie was bright; you guys spend all your time together when he is not on tour. You guys really enjoyed hangout and being together.
Needless to say, you were thrilled Eddie popped the question and proposed to you. You had a small, little cute wedding. Then, not even a week later, you got pregnant and had beautiful twins, one boy, one girl.
It felt like a dream to live with the love of your life; you guys were like partners in crime, two peas in a pod, and most special soulmates. :D

EDDIE   HAD   THOUGHT   HE   KNEW   EVERYTHING   ABOUT   BEING   A   VAMPIRE.   After   all,   he'd   seen   enough   movies   and   read   every   piece   of   fiction,   even   if   it   took   him   forever   because   he   had   a   hard   time   focusing,   that   he   was   sure   he   was   an   expert   on   the   matter.   The   reality   of   being   a   vampire;   however,   was   far   less   glamorous   than   he   would   have   thought.   Sure,   some   things   were   turning   out   to   be   true   such   as   he   couldn't   really   stand   being   out   in   the   sun.   It   irritated   his   skin   and   his   eyes.   Somehow,   his   heart   was   still   beating   despite   having   apparently   died   and   been   resurrected.   And   there   was   the   fact   that   the   hunger   pains   he   was   experiencing   were   worse   than   he'd   ever   experienced   in   the   past.   Literature   didn't   tell   you   that   the   desire   to   drink   the   blood   of   humans   was   actually   not   sexy   at   all,   it   was   mind   numbingly   painful.   Eddie   wasn't   even   getting   a   cool   motorcycle   out   of   the   deal   like   Keifer   Sutherland   did   in   The   Lost   Boys.   It   was   bullshit.
The   worst   part,   he   thought,   was   the   fact   that   he   was   currently   dwelling   in   Steve   Harrington's   basement   like   some   gremlin   with   photosensitivity.   Dustin   and   Mike   had   been   helping   as   much   as   they   could   by   bringing   him   clothes   and   other   necessities,   and   even   breaking   into   the   hospital   to   steal   bags   of   donated   blood   for   him.   Unfortunately,   after   the   alleged   earthquake   that   struck   Hawkins,   blood   donations   were   in   short   supply.   Eddie   was   doing   everything   he   could   to   stick   it   out   for   as   long   as   possible,   and   even   hunted   a   rabbit   to   try   and   slake   the   thirst   he   felt.   It   didn't   help.   In   fact,   not   only   was   it   disgusting   but   it   made   him   ill   and   he   spent   three   days   lying   on   the   basement   floor   figuring   he   was   going   to   die...again.   Human   blood   was   the   only   thing   he   could   consume   without   it   having   dire   consequences,   which   put   him   in   one   hell   of   a   bind.   The   metalhead   didn't   want   to   hurt   people,   didn't   want   to   kill   someone,   and   the   moral   dilemma   to   become   the   very   thing   he'd   been   accused   of   before   his   death   was   appalling.
Tumblr media
He'd   drained   the   last   of   his   blood   bag   supply   two   days   ago,   and   the   gnawing   hunger   in   his   gut   was   becoming   worse   and   worse.   Eddie   paced   the   basement   floor,   chewing   on   his   nails   as   he   tried   to   figure   out   what   to   do.   Hunting   an   animal   wasn't   going   to   fix   this,   and   if   he   waited   too   long   it   would   drive   him   into   a   blood   lust   frenzy   and   he   would   end   up   hurting   someone.   The   gang   hadn't   been   able   to   steal   anymore   donated   blood   because   there   just   wasn't   any.   Eddie   thought   that   just   maybe   he   was   going   to   have   to   leave   town   and   find   some   stranger   to   feed   on,   and   pray   he   didn't   kill   that   stranger.   The   brunette   was   turning   out   to   be   the   worst   vampire   ever.
Dark   eyes   shot   up   the   basement   stairs   as   the   door   opened   and   @alwaysthesitter's   silhouette   was   framed   in   the   glow   of   kitchen   light.   Eddie   had   been   so   distracted   with   his   own   worries   he   hadn't   heard   the   other   man   approaching   the   door.   That   was   another   thing   he   was   still   getting   used   to,   his   newly   heightened   senses.   ❝Don't   come   down   here,❞   he   called   up   to   him.   ❝I'm   not   doing   so   hot   and   I-I   don't   want   to   hurt   you.❞   Jesus,   he   needed   to   get   the   hell   out   of   dodge.
