I do think some of yall put too much faith in the aftg ec like when i first started reading it years ago it was very much a 'thanks for the cats nora but we'll take it from here' situation. we picked out what we liked and ignored the rest. yes, nora sakavic is the author and technically what she says goes, but also. it's a fictional book series. it's not real. a lot of what nora initially thought could have changed by now, and anyway, a lot of it never really made sense.
also also, tracking back to the fact that it's just fiction— headcanons are a thing. aus are a thing. non-canon compliant is a thing. you don't actually have to agree with everything nora put in the ec. actually you don't have to do anything. it's not real lol, it hurts nobody if you're like 'actually i do think Andrew and katelyn eventually get along and i do think allison and renee get married'. you can just do that!!! it's okay!
