The initial shop facility has since expanded and is now over 40,000 square feet of covered fabrication area, on-site blasting and paint buildings, and over 150,000 square feet of paved laydown area, with room to grow. From this facility, our team has proudly built various types of process equipment for customers all over the world including some of the largest modules that could be permitted for road transport.

In 2020, we amended our name from Chemex Modular to Chemex Global to better reflect the global nature of our business and our full EPC/EPCM capabilities and offerings for modular and conventional construction. KBR Inc (KBR) has been awarded an engineering and project management services contract by JVGAS – a joint venture of Sonatrach, Statoil and BP Plc.

The contract includes the provision of engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services in Algeria.

KBR will provide detail design engineering, procurement services as well as construction management at the major gas developments at In Salah Gas and In Amenas. This work, which is expected to be performed over 48 months, will be a KBR collaboration with engineering and the procurement services being performed from the UK and Chennai (India) offices in partnership with the local, in-country, engineering office.
