Favorite Character: god it's so hard to pick. the top spots have always been midoriya, bakugo and todoroki bc i just relate to them the most but aizawa has my heart

Favorite Arc/Episode/Scene: oh boy oh boy i really love the training camp arc, at least just the fun happy beginning where we see them outside their normal school setting. but also bc im a bkdk it has to be katsuki's apology. ahhh hori was really a genius in those panel and how he depicted the apology.

Character I Think is Underrated: todoroki fuyumi 📢📢📢

Character I Think is Overrated: ugh okay take this with a grain of salt bc i don't hate him, but i just can't get with shiggy. and that pains me bc i love uchiyama kouki (jpn va)

Favorite Ship/Pairing: i am a bkdk all the way, but i also am a multi ship in the sense that i think all pairings are great. there's just so many, so much love to give. honorable mention is EraserMight tho, they're cute 😚

Something I Love About the Show/Movie: i think it has a lot of really good lessons that i fear a lot of people don't reflect on. like it's good content bc of the basic plot line of students learning how to be better heroes than the last generation, and they're all super strong, etc. but the hard hitting plot lines like the todoroki family. god i could go on and on for hours just talking about them and how endeavor and all might–the top heroes– were the catalysts and quite ultimately the downfall of hero society. i honestly could talk for hours about BNHA but tldr; i really like how many aspects we get of heroism. i think everyone can find themselves in at least one character. they're so relatable even on our scale of normal human living.

Oh, what’s that sound? Do you hear that, nonnie? Is that the sound of...pandora’s box being opened?

Oh, nonnie. I am a shipper at heart. I always come to fandom for ships and, even though that journey in this fandom has been the most wacktastic thus far, it has been coming and luring me over to the dark side each and every day now. There will 95% chance come a day where I entirely abandon x reader to go back to my good ole shipping ways.

But anyway. To answer the question. I’m a big, fat multishipper in this fandom! If there’s cute fanart or fic material for it, I can probably be convinced, even for a short period of time. But I do have favorites that I’m spending more and more time with, tehe. So let’s go. Don’t judge me, I’m only a pudding cup.

Okay, I know it’s risky to put out there, because people have feelings about it, but I love BakuDeku. I know how problematic it is, and I tried really hard to steer away from the ship because of that, but I got hooked. There’s just so much good fan content and, well, the stories around that ship make me feel really big feelings. And I’m not going to deprive myself of that just because of some fictional issues. This is the only one that I really seek out fanfiction for and I’ll take ANY bkdk suggestions ya’ll have!

Then...I basically love all of Bakugou’s ships? Kacchako is so cute--I can see it being very passionate and bringing out Bakugou’s soft side. I especially love this artist. KiriBaku is definitely the one that’s most satisfying for being close to canon (Aside from IzuOcha, which I also think is just super pure and simple). It has some of the BEST comics on tumblr. And fanart in general.

@yaimlight, and yaimlight alone, has made me a FREAK for TodoBaku. They’ve written a BUTTLOAD of TodoBaku x reader and, honestly, I love the TodoBaku even more than the reader stuff!

TodoDeku is HELLA cute too, and I love all of @shima-draws​‘ content for it (she has a side account for it @todo-izu​ ). I just want my boy Todoroki to be happy!

I think that KiriMina, KamiJirou, and TodoMomo are really easy to get behind and the easiest ships (along with IzuOcha) to include as background in fics. They have super cute fanart as well. Oh, and MomoJirou and DekuMeli can be fun!

My best friend would also kill me if I didn’t mention MiriTama, haha. They’re so cute and, as far as I’m concerned, canon.

For the adults, InkoMight is super sweet, and I love retcon art for it of them with baby!Deku. And of COURSE EraserMic is excellent.

And I don’t have opinions on any of the later game ships! Like anything with Hawks or Dabi or KamiShin or Togaraka I just don’t know yet.

reactions to the bnha: heroes rising film

spoilers alert !

(i risked coronavirus to go to the cinema for this but no regrets because we all want to die anyway oof-)

the film was very 1a centred & that’s gr8 and all especially since we got to witness the bond they had between them & just. how incredibly amazing their teamwork is

but i really ,,, miss,,, aizawa (my fave, my tru love)

he had a total of 3 (?) scenes, each of them lasting like less than 10 secs - even toshinori had more scenes than that : (

but you know who even had less screen time (aka none),,, our boy,,, the valid purple son,,,, shinsou hitoshi : (

the person who had the most screen time was this new villain called nine and i really wanna yell begone thot at him because he was like “i want to create a utopia where the powerful rules” and i was like thinking,, yo that shit sounds like capitalism & neoliberalism

his character design was really pretty, but it didn’t make up for his ideology that came outta nowhere with no backstory - so it was really hard to empathise/sympathise

what makes a villain good is 1) sufficient backstory 2) being so damn predictable and familiar that you actually prefer them over every other new villain because better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know

anyway, what really slaps is kacchan’s fuckin character development !!

lil gremlin is still gremlin but ,, he’s working with other kids,, he’s minimising damage done to the area while fighting villains,, there was a scene of him all calm and shit while eavesdropping on izuku and katsuma (which once again proves that most of his anger is just a front he puts up in front of other people rather than a perpetual state, and ya know what, i love that introvertedness that he has),,, him being protective over the bakusquad and not blasting kaminari for teasing him,,, he and izuku fighting together like a hero duo ,,,, eye-

this movie really said bakugo character development hUH

anyway in the beginning when endeavour showed up and dabi and endeavour had this whole showdown with their fire quirks and we got this close up of endeavour’s thicc thighs and i was like :           ) we don’t stan for this here but at the same time i was like @ hawks damn ur daddy really be like that, huH

which reminds me of my whole spiel about dabi/hawks and endeavour/hawks : ‘ ) 

but yea. dabi was unfairly attractive and i just want death to consume me

okay so the plot was like,, the hero commission (aka the dodgy ass institution): how about sending the 1a kids to an island where there are no active heroes ??

so the 1a kids get yeeted off to an island,, and they are having fun helping the locals out !! (this is the wholesome content we all deserve)

wow i love 1a having each other’s backs their teamwork,, was ,,, so good,,, so smooth ,,, (*whispers* poly 1-a anyone ??)

everyone be losing until kacchan comes blasTing in, saving kirishima & kaminari with sheer determination and stubbornness and manages to defeat one (1) villain

not going to lie though i feel like mummy got done dirty like that

but i like the little nod to the provisional exam arc

the inflated izuku mahoro projected was the Cutest

anyway what really clapped was you know,, both izuku and kacchan being the smort cookies they are: “DIDN’T I TELL YOU THAT ONCE I’VE SEEN YOU USE IT, I HAVE A WAY OF COUNTERING IT?!"

also i love how izuku is established as the image of hope (the saviour) and kacchan is established as the image of victory (the victor) - this whole “win to save” and “save to win” really got laid down really heavily

but we’re all hoes for that i guess

THE BEST PART ABT THE SECOND LAST FIGHT WAS LITERALLY BKDK BEING SO IN SYNC WITH EACH OTHER’S MOVES THAT THEY WERE FIGHTING LIKE A HERO DUO ??

LIKE IZUKU KICKING THE VILLAIN, REBOUNDING OFF THE SHIELD,, AND THEN FLYING OFF JUST FOR KACCHAN TO GRAB IZUKU’S HAND AND FLING HIM BACK AT THE VILLAIN FOR A SECOND ATTACK

THE WHOLE HANDHOLDING THING IS STARTING TO COME OUT AS A MOTIF

AND I JUST WOW ,,, BKDK,, (platonic or romantic or otherwise) OUT HERE,, HOLDING HANDS AS EQUALS,,, SYMBOLIC OF THEIR CHANGING RELATIONSHIP,,,,

it draws such a powerful parallel ??  back then it was kacchan who needed to be ‘saved'  but now it’s kacchan doing the saving & the winning - once again, such character development asdfghjkl

this film,, making me appreciate kaminari 10x more

also fellas is it gay to stare at your rival and being able to communicate non-verbally

thoughts: i lost it over this fic. a fantastic setup with some of my favorite characters (i love this trio!) as well as some of my favorite tropes. time loop angst is the best, and the author delivered. really good.

thoughts: i was so excited to see another dabi as touya fic, especially in such an ugly situation. it’s raw. it hurts. and i love to see it.

“Is there anyone else you want us to call?” Ochako asks gently, and Eri chews on her lip and looks down and away. “Do you want me to call Deku?” Ochako pushes, and it’s worth it for the way Eri’s head snaps back up to her, eyes wide with hope, before she looks away again.

“I’ll send him a text!” Mina pipes up, already having her phone out and typing rapidly on it. “He’s just on the other side of the building, Eri-chan,” she waves the phone at her with a wide smile that squints her eyes shut. “All done, he should be here any min-“

The door to the room slams open, making them all jump and jerk their heads towards it. Ochako brings her fists up instinctively, heart hammering in her throat.

“What’s wrong with Eri?” Deku demands, standing in the doorway, green lightning sparking off his skin, eyes shifting around wildly as if looking for a threat, body braced in a battle stance.

(Or: 5 times Eri falls asleep on Izuku + 1 time Izuku falls asleep on her)

thoughts: Izuku & Eri is one of my favorite character dynamics in the series. this fic is so soft and sweet, and it really focuses on those two. it’s fun, it’s sweet, it’s a little heartbreaking, and there’s some funny lines thrown in the mix. [shipping note: ships are background, relatively minor]

thoughts: such a compelling, terrifying story. i don’t think i could read it more than once, but i mean that as a compliment - unsettling in a good way.

“Sensei! I didn’t see you there! I’m so sorry!” Midoryia looks disheveled, his shirt is untucked and his tie is even more os disaster than normal. But more than that, Midoryia has this wild look in his eyes, as if he was just running from something.

Shouta takes in the darkness around them as he takes a step closer to Midoryia, trying to figure out what has spooked the kid so badly that he ran away. Midoryia is shaking slightly under his hand and Shouta wonders if he is going to have to pull the alarm anyways.

thoughts: such a great setup and payoff. secret keeping, whump, repercussions.... check, check, and check.
