Pairing: Miguel O'Hara x Spider-Woman!Reader

Summary: Miguel is fed up with LYLA pestering him about his crush on you… only for him to accidentally confess the feelings in front of you.

A/N: First Miguel fic woop woop, and if there's any inaccurate Spanish, please tell me! Also, I think it'd be nice to use the Peter from The Spectacular Spider-Man, who appeared on ATSV briefly as Y/N's mission partner in this fic instead of someone like Miles, Hobie, Jess Drew, or Ben. TSSM!Peter's world is canonically Earth-26496 in the Marvel wiki so that's why I wrote it that way.

For the upteenth time, LYLA sighed at Miguel, who only did nothing but sit down and think. “Wow, Miguel, I swear you’re way more shy than a high schooler crushing on someone.” the AI groaned, shifting her form so she’s now sitting on top of her boss’s shoulder as she filed her nails. “Since she’s gonna go for a mission later thanks to an anomaly in Earth-26496 with the Peter from that world, why can’t you just tell her when you call her here for the mission briefing? That’ll save you way more time instead of wasting your time waiting for her to confess instead!”

His growing feelings towards you (and how he constantly tried to deny it) were often challenged if someone else teased him about it. While it’s usually 

his AI assistant that pestered him about his silly schoolboy crush, Dr. O’Hara also had got a fair amount of spider people who teased him to try to make him ask you out. From Jess, the Peter with a 5 o'clock shadow who almost always had baby Mayday on his side, Hobie, while not close with him, tends to make little jabs on how Miguel “was always buzzin’ to see Y/N”, even the melodramatic hunk Ben Reilly joined in at times. 

Yet at the same time, deep down he always yearned for you to return his feelings. 

“For the last time, LYLA. I’m not in love with Y/N L/N.” Miguel grumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose. 

LYLA’s projection shifted again so she’s now in front of his face, arms crossed as she popped a bubble of bubblegum as pink as her heart shaped shades.

“My goodness, you’re doing it again.” 

“What thing? I didn’t say anything bad before.” Miguel gestured with his hands to try to prove LYLA’s only joking or making some sort of false accusations to toy with him. 

“That thing! Where you’re so in love with someone yet pretend you’re not in love with them!” The AI bursted into laughter at how bad he is at pretending he’s not being lovestruck. “Every day you whine about how you don’t love Y/N yet whenever someone says it in front of your handsome face, you often look at her like a lost puppy whenever she’s in the room or whenever you two go on missions together. I’d say you’re one of the funniest in terms of the spider people being in love.” she chortled. 

Miguel shot LYLA a glare, shutting her mouth up once she was faced with a pair of angry scarlet orbs. The AI tried to open her mouth again but she was cut off by him.

“Then what am I supposed to say? Hey Y/N, I’m so deeply in love with you that you’re all I think about all the time-”

“-what?”

Before he knew it, he was interrupted by two familiar voices exclaiming at the same time. His jaw dropped agape, the scarlet hues in his now widened eyes dimmed down at the sheer shock that crept through him when one of the people who just walked into his office was Y/N L/N out of everyone else. 

“…LYLA?” 

“Yes?” 

“Why didn’t you tell me Y/N is coming?” he scolded, trying to hide the nervousness in his voice.

“I was trying to tell you that but you cut me off.”

On the other hand, the embarrassment also hit you, especially because you still couldn’t believe what you and the Peter from Earth-26496 - or as you’d nickname him, Spectacular Peter had just witnessed. Peter and you settled on the nickname when you praised his performance, calling him “spectacular” in a mission and you used that nickname to distinguish him from the many other Peters in the Spider Society. 

Miguel O’Hara just accidentally confessed he’s in love with you.

“Estupendo.” With his back now facing you and Peter, Miguel huffed in frustration and embarrassment. “Just make sure to tell no one about this.” 

(Great.)

“Miguel, I know I’m supposed to get the details about the mission in Earth-26496 but why didn’t you tell me from the start?” you questioned. “That way at least you wouldn’t have to hide your feelings around me, even if I ashamedly didn’t know about your little crush on me before I heard you saying it in front of me and Peter.” 

Peter, who noticeably appeared more cartoonish than most of his variants who were part of the Spider Society, could only give your shoulder a few comforting pats to attempt to relieve you from the amount of embarrassment by your own boss yet at the same time not cause any more trouble.

“At least it’s not the time when Gwen and I broke up with our partners Harry and Liz just so we can get together with each other… only for me to find out that my best friend’s dad is the Green Goblin soon after.” Peter lamented in remembrance of that very awkward moment in his love life.

Conflict grew even more - perhaps way more than it was within Miguel’s heart before he accidentally revealed his crush in front of you, someone who had no clue he liked you. His heart pounded under his ribs, waiting so hard for it to burst from how uneasy this moment was making him. His combed hair became messier the more he ran his fingers through his hair, as he tends to do it whenever he’s feeling stressed or anxious. 

This had gotta be the time where he should be all serious and make sure you and Peter got the needed information… right? After he calmed down, Miguel instead turned around to face you and your partner for today’s mission, approached you, and gently placed his large hand on your shoulder.

He briefly glanced at Peter (who’s getting really awkward from finding out his boss has a crush on his partner for today’s mission) before fixating his chestnut brown eyes on you. 

“I’m sorry for embarrassing you. I wasn't careful about my words before and I won’t do it again in front of you.” he suddenly retracted his hand after remembering that he’s supposed to give you the details of the anomaly in Earth-26496. 

LYLA projected 2 screens in front of you and Peter as Miguel began his briefing. The first screen displayed the details and a virtual model of a variant of the infamous Scorpion, but this particular version appeared to be a tall and muscular woman donning the Scorpion armor, complete to the venom infused in her tail’s stinger. On the other hand, the second screen displayed the Scorpion variant rampaging in that world’s city center. Police cars surrounded all over her, but to no avail as she started attacking the police officers and citizens began scurrying away from the now dangerous area. 

“Oh, I forgot. A Scorpion variant is rampaging in Earth-26496 and all you two have to do is to take down this anomaly, capture her, then bring her to the HQ so that the Go-Home Machine can send her back to her native dimension.”

“By the way, she looks to be quite tough because she’s armed with a venom stinger in her tail, so you both have to be careful or else you’ll suffer from hallucinations and fatigue induced by her venom.” LYLA added.

“I wish you two luck with today’s mission.” Miguel said firmly, ending the briefing for today’s mission. 

“We will, Miguel.” Peter replied. 

He immediately opened a portal to his native world for you two to go in and immediately stepped inside, but right when you were about to step inside the portal, Miguel stopped you.

“So… would you like to go to dinner tonight with me? Maybe I can take you to my favorite place in Nueva York once you and Peter are done handling the anomaly. For our first date.” you turned around at his offer. 

“I’d love to, but I have to go now. I’ll see you again!” 

“You too.” he smiled. 

With a last wave towards him, you went in the portal and it closed itself right after. Now what’s left to do is for you to help Peter capture the Scorpion variant anomaly and bring her back to the HQ, just as you were told.

What’s happened Sinister Six (The Spectacular Spider-Man/Earth-26496) meets their Earth-1762 variant. Imagine how they interact with each other. Like Flint met his various daughter Keemia, Doctor Octopus (TSSM) learned about Otto (MSM 2017) sacrifice or Electro (Maxwell Dillon) (TSSM) how’s interaction with Electro (Francine Frye) (MSM 2017).

i think tssm flint would have the same dynamic msm flint does with keemia. tssm flint would care very much about keemia, except he'd be a bit more cautious since being a good guy is a new thing for him

tssm doc ock would both probably look at each other, have some big personal philosophical moment/realization, not know how to express it or know why exactly they feel that way, and not say anything to each other

Top 5 favourite spider people

Spectacular Spider-Man (Earth 26496) I fully acknowledge this is a nostalgia pick, but this was my first exposure to Spider-Man as a character, and the show has maintained a very dear place in my heart for years. This Peter was the perfect mix of dorky nerd, suffering hero and wisecracking gremlin.

Miles Morales Miles' should frankly be the main Spider-Man in the comics, it's dumb as fuck that we're still making him share the spotlight with Peter who should be in his 50's by this point, let the old man settle down with his wife and kid! Anyway Miles is awesome and anyone who says otherwise is factually wrong

Spider-Gwen my friends are gonna bully me for this, but I actually really enjoyed her run! her alt.universe has a lot of really interesting remixed characters, and her costume is imo one of the best spiderman redesigns we've gotten. Also I enjoy the general aesthetic of her comic

Spider-Noir specifically the Spiderverse version because i love his silly little hat and rubix cube, possibly my favorite Nic Cage role

Lady Spider we need more middle aged women who kick ass! I also admit that i'm a fan of the steampunk aesthetic. I hope she gets to appear more.

Backstory: Maxwell Dillion was just your average working class millennial trying to make enough to pay for his student loans and his school supplies, having worked with Dr. Connors since he was 19 as his lab assistant. He lived a relatively peaceful life up until his accident with the bio-electrical filters that left him needing to take an emergency trip to the hospital due to his nerves being shot and his body generating bio-electricity as a major side effect of his accident. He was forced to wear an isolation suit as a precaution to make sure he didn't cause any harm to the doctors or anyone else in the vicinity of his hospital room. He hated it, every second of being stuck in that hospital felt claustrophobic to him, not to mention being told to "adjust and get used to it" did not help him. Maxwell wanted to live his life again the way it used to be before his accident, but every little thing he does to try and feel normal just made him more aware of his situation and the fact that Max's life will never be the same again.

Threatened with jail time if he didn't comply and go back to the hospital for treatment, Max went to the source of his problem and demanded Dr. Connors make him a cure for his problem. During his angry and violent outburst over losing his only opportunity to get a cure, Spider-Man managed to apprehend him and Maxwell was arrested and taken into Ravencroft where he undergoes psychiatric rehab for months before he is finally released for his seemingly good progress.

He later went on to team up with doctor octopus and the rest of the sinister 6 for various crime sprees across New York, all of which had the sole purpose to get back at Spider-man and make him regret destroying their life plans.

Extra Info: Maxwell was a computer-science major back when he was still going to empire state university, if it wasn't for his accident he would've been able to graduate around next year with his credits.

Electro used to be best friends with Eddie before his accident, he tried to reach out to him again after he got out of Ravencroft for the second time, but Eddie never responded to him.

Electro has a phobia of hospitals and care-facilities due to how many times he's been in and out of them and how many times he's been poked and prodded and hooked up to various machines.

Max carries a reusable straw with him whenever he's going out because he doesn't want to shock himself trying to get a sip of his drink.

Max has severe nerve damage due to his powers and most of the time his limbs feel like tv static, it feels weird to him whenever he moves around.

Most of the time when out in civilian attire Max keeps his gloves on, but most of the time he leaves them off due to his discomfort with wearing them.

    Hey y’all, just a small update, starting with @drdemeaning​ and Norman here receiving an   Earth-1048/insomniac verse!

    Yes you heard right - I’ll be adding an Earth- 1048 verse to both blogs, and I will be adding Earth- 96283 (Raimi) back onto that blog. The main verse will still be Earth-26496.     I am still alive, and I am hoping to be back within the week, with some more replies. Perhaps even tonight if I’ve time.      Unfortunately, I’ve been absolutely swamped with work shortly after I started this blog, ergo, very few replies since then. I’m talking 10-15 hour days, multiple times a week.      as well, I want y’all to know that april 9th is a really hard day for me. My mental health, which i’ve only majorly let on to be anxiety/depression with the spicy autism, also includes PTSD. I want everyone to know that I had a very rough past, and was living in a slightly heightened state for around 3 years, as my father passed away. My birthday is the 8th, and his was the 9th, meaning we’d almost always celebrate the dates together.      It makes the time surrounding apr 9th and may 19th extremely hard for me. I want to thank every single person who’s been patiently waiting for my replies, from the largest to the smallest. I do want to get back here around the 10th or 12th and get some more stories started, so if anyone wants to plot out something, hit me up!

Previously on Sakaar: Phineas Mason ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★✼☆｡ After a commission went off early and malfunctioned in a major way, Phineas Mason found himself no longer on Earth-26496, but on Mojoworld. Being found by Mojo himself, the Tinkerer avoided being cast in one of his shows by impressing that his talents lay elsewhere, and found himself volunteered into "upgrading" stolen Sakaar drones. With saws and lasers and programming to attack.

Fortunately for Mason, he also programmed about half of the drones to self-destruct, not appreciating being threatened or strongarmed. When he was captured and brought before En Dwi Gast for execution, he managed to talk the man in charge around to giving him a chance to prove himself instead, being presented with his own lab.

Two days later, Mason volunteered to help save Va Nee Gast and Yrsa from Mojo's Tetris Gauntlet, along with Thor Odinson, the Valkyrie, Peggy Carter, Richard Rider, Taneleer Tivan, and En Dwi himself. Despite quickly reassessing the wisdom of this and realizing he was making a powerful enemy, when the Grandmaster set off explosions that seemingly killed Mojo, he agreed several days after to head to the planet with En Dwi and Loki to hack into the terminals and find out how to return Sakaar to normal space.

This did not go as planned. Loki was captured and badly hurt, and the Grandmaster and the Tinkerer barely managed to avoid capture, and were themselves rescued from drones at the last second by the cavalry: Thor, the Valkyrie, Lady Sif, and Dr. Stephen Strange. Managing to subdue and hack into one of the drones allowed Mason to locate Loki, but it self-destructed before he could find the information they'd come for.

Mason returned to Sakaar with the group and has decided he's going back behind the curtain again for now -- and definitely not returning to Mojoworld.

Backstory: Peter parker’s backstory is nearly identical to every other spiderman’s story. He got bit by a genetically modified spider that gave him superpowers, lost his uncle ben after he got killed by a mugger, and learned that great power came with a great amount of responsibility.

It wasn't until his junior year of highschool that things really started to ramp up for Peter. For the first time he now on top of dealing with the burglars has to deal with a bunch of superpowered villains that absolutely despise him for multiple different reasons. He’s been struggling trying to adapt to all the new changes in his life, and currently he’s also grappling with his own guilt after realizing his own impulsivity and recklessness possibly created a couple of the same villains he still fights to this day. Despite everything he deals with as Spider-man, Peter still tries to live as normal as a life as he can outside of his heroic duties. He still goes to school, he still has a side-job where he takes photos for the daily bugle occasionally for money, and he’s doing his best to try and have a social life again now that he’s able find balance again.

Extra Info: Peter is sort of Symbiote-phobic due to his traumatic experiences dealing with his universe’s symbiote, both when it was trying to control him and when it had bonded with Eddie Brock. The ladder having traumatized him so bad that now he looks over his shoulder near constantly whenever he goes out by himself.

Peter excels when it comes to science and math but he often struggles with subjects like English or Art due to him not being totally invested in those classes.

He made the spider-signal belt he wears when he was around 15, having gone through a couple prototypes of the signal before he finally settled on the model he wears now.

Peter is often a bit clumsy when he’s not paying attention to the world around him and his spacial awareness is also affected by how tunnel-visioned he gets while doing certain tasks.

Peter recently has not been really paying attention to when he gets injured (like when he gets bruised after a fight or when he gets a small cut somewhere) and he only starts to realize how badly he got hurt either when he touches the injury by mistake, or when the adrenaline wears off after the battle and he finally relaxes. This is not the case for when Peter injures himself to a larger degree however, regardless though he’ll just try to brush it off as “just a little scratch.” To avoid worrying anybody around him.

Peter’s sleep schedule is all out of whack due to everything he has to take care of in the day. So he doesn’t usually go to bed until like around from Midnight to 3am.
