5 cigars for new smokers
Are you a beginner cigar smoker looking to enhance your smoking experience? Look no further! In this video, we'll share some invaluable tips to help you navigate the world of cigars like a pro. We'll even give you a list of 5 solid, flavorful cigars that are perfect for the new smoker.
With their rich history and complex flavors, Cigars have long captivated aficionados worldwide. However, for beginners, the world of cigars can seem daunting and intimidating. Part of this intimidation stems from the various elements of a cigar - its size, shape, wrapper, filler, and binder. Understanding these components is vital to unlocking the enjoyment that cigars can offer.
So, let us explore the fascinating world of cigars and why they can be intimidating for those just starting out. Here are three very sound tips for new cigar smokers:
Tip number 1: Start with a mild cigar - recommendations include Macanudo Café Hyde Park, Montecristo White, or Oliva Connecticut series.
When it comes to cigars, beginners often need help with the various options. Choosing the right cigar can be daunting, especially for those who have yet to develop their palate. That's why tip number one is simple: start with a mild cigar.
Mild cigars are known for their smooth and subtle flavors, making them the perfect introduction to the world of cigars. They offer a gentler smoking experience that allows beginners to ease into the complexities of tobacco without being overwhelmed.
Tip number 2: Look for a cigar with a Connecticut wrapper for a smoother taste
When selecting a cigar, the wrapper is one of the most important factors to consider. The wrapper leaf plays a significant role in the overall flavor profile of the cigar, as it contributes to the aroma and taste. A cigar with a Connecticut wrapper is an excellent choice for beginners seeking a smoother taste.
Connecticut wrappers are known for their light, golden-brown color, and delicate texture. They are typically shade-grown under muslin cloth or in greenhouses, which results in milder flavors and a smoother smoking experience. These wrappers tend to have subtle notes of creaminess, cedar, and sometimes hints of sweetness, making them an excellent option for beginners who want to ease into the world of cigars without overwhelming their taste buds.
Tip #3: Pay attention to the size and shape of the cigar
Another essential aspect to consider when starting with cigars is the size and shape. Cigars come in a variety of sizes and shapes, each offering a unique smoking experience. It's generally recommended for beginners to start with a classic size - such as a Robusto or Toro.
These sizes are known for their balanced proportions, allowing for an even burn and consistent flavors. Their medium ring gauge (typically around 50) provides a comfortable smoking experience without being too overwhelming. Additionally, their length (usually between 4 and a half to 6 inches) ensures a manageable smoking time that allows beginners to fully enjoy the flavors without feeling rushed.
Next, we will give you a list of 5 flavorful cigars which are highly recommended for new smokers, but please take a minute to like this video and subscribe, would you? Thank you so much!

Our Favorite My Father Cigars
At this point, My Father is just one of those classic cigar houses that every cigar enthusiast recognizes by name and by label. Many My Father cigars quickly take off in popularity and enter the ranks of people’s go-to cigars once they come out. The best way to get to know these cigars is to try them for yourself and see what has made this such a common name among cigar enthusiasts.
Tumblr media
With such an iconic and beloved mainstay brand like My Father, you may have had it on your list of brands to try next, but could never settle on which ones to grab first. As with any cigar brand, there is a distinct style or character, in a sense, that the brand has overall. But when you look at each cigar from the line individually, you can see that each cigar has something very different to offer compared to the other.
My Father cigars offer a great range of notes and aromas that feel distinct from one another, but are still undeniably on brand. If you are going to try anything from the brand, we have a few recommendations that might help you get an idea of what they really have to offer. These are some of the more popular options from the brand, so these are some good ones to start with.
Le Bijou 1922 A true classic from the brand and one of the most beloved My Father cigars, Le Bijou 1922 delivers on its reputation. It uses Nicaraguan fillers with an Habano Oscuro wrapper to create a robust, full-bodied taste. Le Bijou perfectly balances sweet and savory with notes of dark chocolate, leather, raisins, and a pervasive smokiness that rounds it all out to a great balance.
The Judge For a warm, earthy aroma, you might want to try The Judge from My Father. This cigar uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan filler and binder in a robust blend, rich in flavor. This cigar picks up notes of cedar wood, nuts, and leather in a warm, rich blend that you can smoke for years without getting bored.
Connecticut Compared to the more robust, full-bodied cigars of the line, the Connecticut cigar is a much more mellow, mild offering. This cigar succeeds in delivering a warm, inviting flavor profile that still feels mellow enough for an everyday smoke. It uses Nicaraguan binder and filler with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper for a sweet and spicy finish. You will pick up on notes of chocolate and warm spices in this mild treat of a cigar.
Try out any of these My Father cigars and see what works best with your personal cigar preferences. You may find you enjoy them all and want to stock up, or maybe these weren’t for you, but good indicators that the brand may have something else in store for you.
Check out all of these and more cigars from My Father at atlanticcigar.com. They also have some excellent sampler sets that are the perfect way to try out multiple cigars from the brand all at once.

List of Cigar prices available in India
Cigars are the new trend in India which represents a rich and lavish lifestyle. There was a time when selling cigars in India was next to impossible. People used to bring cigars from foreign countries by paying hefty prices. Many Indians who admire Rocky Patel's eponymous brand of luxury cigars are buying them worldwide during their travels, according to Patel, who runs one of the world's top cigar firms says that Because of the high tariffs, the Indian market for premium cigars is extremely difficult. But now you can buy cigars in India both offline and online. Some of them are given below.
Arturo Fuente Short Story Maduro (Single Stick) Price: Rs 1,100
The Arturo Fuente Short Story Maduro is a cigar unlike any other. At the time of the 1999 and 2002 Cigar Family Celebrations, just 200 cigars were distributed. Surprisingly, the Short Story Maduro was on display earlier this month at the 2011 International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Convention (IPCPR). Arturo Fuente is releasing 1,000 boxes of the cigar to chosen shops who purchased twenty or more boxes of Arturo Fuente cigars during the trade exhibition, in keeping with tradition.
Paul Stulac Phantom (Torpedo) Price: Rs 1,270
Stulac, Paul Long filler Nicaraguan tobacco and an Ecuadorian Habana or Brazilian Maduro wrapper are used in the hand rolling of cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua. The cigars have a medium body and a complex flavour profile that will appeal to even the most sophisticated cigar enthusiast.
Kentucky Fire Cured (Just a Friend) (Single Stick) Price: Rs 1,350
To begin with, Kentucky Fire Cured is made with stalk-cut tobacco. KFC is fired at a low temperature, between 100 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit, until it reaches a solid brown hue. Once the colour is set, raise the temperature to 120F-130F to thoroughly cure and darken the leaf's midrib. To complete the leaf, the temperature will be dropped and the smoke will be maximised with saw dust once the midrib has dried. You'll know when KFC has touched your olfactory nerve when you smell it!
LA PALINA EL DIARIO CHURCHILL (Single Stick) Price: Rs 1,150
El Diario is a variant of La Palina, coming from the Raices Cubanas factory in Danli, Honduras. Because of its well-aged combination of Central American tobacco leaves, it's not only the first La Palina made outside of the Bahamas, but it's also softer than its powerful ancestors. A Honduran Corojo '99 Rosado wrapper and two Honduran Criollo '98 binders are used to create these cigars, which are then filled with a balanced combination of Nicaraguan Corojo '99 and Honduran Criollo '98 filler leaves.
Gurkha Grand Reserve Churchill Maduro (Single Stick) Price: Rs 1,950
30 large, magnificent Gurkha Grand Reserve Robusto cigars laced with Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac ($1,200 each bottle). Gurkha cigars are handcrafted from the best tobaccos cultivated in the Dominican Republic's beautiful Cibao Valley. This Dominican cigar's rich, creamy flavour comes from the excellent Connecticut shade wrapper. The Grand Reserve cigars start with a 5-year-old Connecticut wrapper that has been matured for an additional 7 months. This is a 5-month advantage over Cuban cigars. Dominican mix grown from Cuban Piloto seed is used for the filler and binder. The marriage of filler and binder with a fine Connecticut wrapper imbued with Louis XIII Cognac is the final phase in the one-year manufacturing process.
Enjoy the fresh and lavish cigars at the ease of your home and Welcome the grand entry of Cigars in India. Explore this grand world of Indian cigars and have ultimate fun

Tonight’s selection
Montecristo white series
6x54 toro grande tube
A friend gifted this to me last night. It’s my first Montecristo white series cigar.
A mild and creamy textured cigar, the Montecristo White Toro Grande makes for a gratifying smoking experience. Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrappers cover a fine blend of Nicaraguan, Peruvian and Dominican tobacco in these stogies. Held together with a Nicaraguan binder, each hand-rolled cigar has an earthy aroma that isn’t harsh on the palate.
The complexity was earthy, sweet and creamy, with cedar notes, nutty, and a bit of pepper. This is a very well balanced medium- bodied cigar with quit a bit of depth. Open draw, tons of rich white smoke, great aroma and full flavored silky finish.
