Erez Reuveni, a top lawyer who was kicked to the curb by the Department of Justice for not defending their agenda to deport men to El Salvador without due process, has officially blown the whistle.

The lawyer filed a 27-page report Tuesday, obtained by The New York Times, detailing the many ways in which Attorney General Pam Bondi and judicial nominee Emil Bove III have illegally dodged and intimidated others to get their way.

On one hand, this information feels less than shocking given how President Donald Trump and his team outright ignored orders to stop planes that were en route to detainment centers. However, this marks the first time someone who was on the inside has spoken out about it specifically.

In the filing, Reuveni recalls how Bove—whose nomination for circuit court judge is scheduled for Wednesday—blatantly ignored Judge James E. Boasberg’s orders to keep planeloads of immigrants on U.S. soil. Not only that, but Reuveni’s supervisor, Drew Ensign, allegedly lied to Boasberg’s face during a hearing when asked if he knew about any upcoming plans to fly immigrants to other detention centers in the next 24 to 48 hours.

According to the report, Ensign told Boasberg, “I don’t know the answer to that question.”

But if you ask Reuveni, the potential new circuit judge had informed him just the day before.

“Ensign had been present in the previous day’s meeting when Emil Bove stated clearly that one or more planes containing individuals subject to the [Alien Enemies Act] would be taking off over the weekend no matter what.”

Reuveni went on to detail how Bove and others withheld information for as long as possible from Boasberg to keep the deportation flights in the air.

And as the former top lawyer laid out example after example showing how the administration was brazenly defying the courts, he eventually recalled how he was faced with his own ultimatum.

In the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland father who was wrongly abducted by ICE and deported to El Salvador’s terrorism confinement center, Reuveni was tasked with defending the U.S. government’s decision to keep Garcia locked up. However, as the facts unfolded, Reuveni could not. According to his filing, he was asked by another supervisor, August Flentje, to sign testimony stating that Garcia was a terrorist. Ultimately, he chose not to, which led to his firing.

While Garcia has returned back to the U.S. and Trump’s cronies lost the fight of labeling him as a dangerous MS-13 gang member, his legal battles are still ongoing. As of Monday, a judge ordered his release for an ongoing human smuggling case—the Trump administration’s latest claim.

However, the DOJ is threatening to deport Garcia the moment he steps outside of jail. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement obtained by CBS Monday that Garcia "will never go free on American soil."

Then again, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes doesn’t see a reason for all of the hostility.

"Overall, the Court cannot find from the evidence presented that Abrego Garcia's release clearly and convincingly poses an irremediable danger to other persons or to the community," she wrote.

The Abyss Gazes Back: Pessimism as a Lens on Existential Collapse

Yuri and Nightfall were both created for somewhat the same purpose. Characters just to add chaos and tension in the Forger's dynamic. For that reason their entire identity was formed around a specific Forger. In a similar sense, Emile and Ewen also existed as auxiliary characters to Damian not much individuality assigned to either.

Normally, these types of characters would be bound to these minor roles and never grow independent of the other characters. Instead, in the last three chapters, we see an intentional effort on Endo's side to continue their growth and development into individuals.

Emile and Ewen started as little echoes for Damian, following him around like tiny mindless goons. Now, although they still exist as a duo and their role is still very tied to Damian, they are shown to have a genuine relationship with him. They're not just in it for the clout, Damian is their friend and they truly care about him and all his flaws.

Nightfall and Yuri are obviously more complicated.

Yuri has a very troubled relationship with his sister. Their shared past resulted in him being very codependent on her and building his entire identity and sense of purpose around her. Now that his sister is married and moved on (i will not expand on that), he is left feeling like an empty shell of himself. He now is a position where he has to find a new sense of purpose while also questioning the choices that he has made throughout his life for the sake of his sister.

The chapter ends with him accepting that his sister is happy and there is nothing more he can do for her, that their lives have forever changed and they cant go back to the way it was. Their home is in the city now and he has to come to terms with what that means for their relationship. In the end, he decides to go out with his coworkers and try to live a little, outside of sister.

Not much is known about Nightfall. Her motives are still ambiguous and defined around Twilight. I have my own personal explanation but the canon still dances around the topic. While her past is still ambiguous, her present circumstances are clear. She is very devoted to Twilight to the point where she routinely risks her health for his sake. She has this idea that for him to love her she needs to be absolutely perfect and should never show any weakness. A moment I found funny was when she needs to cough and blow her nose but refused to do it in front of Twilight. Reminds me of a short story I read for one of my classes, Bride by Cheerie Jones.

So much of what Jones described as the perfect wife is the same things Nightfall tries to do to gain the romantic attention of Twilight. It also shows why she resents Yor because beyond the fact that she has Twilight she doesn't have to be perfect for him. Yor rattles everything that Nightfall believes about herself and again leaves her feeling empty and confused. Again, there is some optimism to her story. Seeing that Twilight still cares for her even when she is not perfect, that his concern for her is not contingent on her being perfect. She is finally able to rest and recover once he leaves her with that simple expression of concern.

I don't know what motivates her or why she specifically craves Twilight's affection but my most optimistic theory is that he represents someone that she wants. Someone who cares for her. Twilight does care for so I am guessing her drive is less to get his care but to preserve it and earn it. She is just seeking his validation the best way she knows how.

[Name] backs away to dodge but Kurt yells for her, “Watch out!” She hums then yells as Naib rams into her body. They both fall, then her eyes slowly open.

“Strange…I don’t quite feel any pain?”

She then hears her own voice, “Yea that’s because I weigh a lot and eat….lots…” They both stare and then [Name] yells. “WHY ARE YOU ME!?”

“Why- You’re me!!” Naib’s claws hold [Name]’s face while Naib makes her hold his own face.

“Oh my gosh this is worst then when Yidhra cursed the manor!” Naib says while [Name] admires the outfit. “Dang Man in Red looks good.”

“[Name] he’s a cultist!” Kurt says while Ada shakes her head at the two, “Surely you two can switch back.” Mike hums as he juggles his items in a circle, “Nope. Unless Ann uses the cat but she’s just as confused.”

Ann was busy trying to comprehend what caused such outbursts. “Hmm…I’m not too sure, maybe if I just…”

Ann lets her cats out and then reins them in, [Name] walks with Naib. Who then held her hand watches the cats surrounding them and then they moved?

“Sorry um- elbow pads.” Right, [Name] didn’t know how to shut them down. Naib sighs in her body as they both tumble down and face plant into the ground, luckily the cats ran over and repeated the process. As they begin to return to their bodies, Naib chuckles at how silly this whole predicament was. “Lets hope that never happens again yea?”

It sadly did happen, because Mike was screaming bloody murder while [Name] was angry. “Again! How- HOW! Ann come on!”

Ann backs up and leaves, “Well I’ve done all I could!”

“ANN I CANNOT BE SOME LITTLE GOLDEN BOY! COME BACK!” [Name] aka Mike chases Ann while she leaves the scene, Ada now watching this situation evolve starts drinking tea with Kurt. “Mhm. Enjoy the chaos…I wonder how Emil is doing?”

“Probably way better than us.” Kurt chuckles and she nods, “I hope…[Name] don’t flip with him!”

Mike watches as [Name] flips around with his body, his anxious screams fill the area while they fight. “My body!”

“Gimmie mine first!”

“Stop flipping with it!” They both pin each other, suddenly a bright light beams from Mike and [Name]

She opens her eyes again, pausing as she recognizes her own hands. “Oh snap its me! Yay! Wait- how?”

Ada wiggles her whistle. “I’m also a witch too, just got this beautiful outfit to compliment it.”

“…..Ada I won’t lie, your husband shouldn’t wear shorts with that outfit.” [Name] puts their hands up while Ada agrees but fake’s a dramatic gasp. The girls giggle and then walk away while Mike shudders, “That woman can study plants all she wants! But she’s not innocent…ugh…who thinks like that!?”

[Name] gives him a mischievous grin, “Heheh….No one will believe you.”

I have this idea that maybe Belle's family will have a realisation about their behaviour after Bell's silence towards them. No one for cleaning thier mess up, handing them stuff without asking , thier lives becoming less organized etc.(They deserve it thb)

But I know that's not going to happen. The classic gaslighter's and narcissist mentality. If Bell ever tells them that she is setting boundaries and will not be their personal secretary then she is selfish and immature in their eyes.

I hope they get their karma where each and everyone of them comes at the realisation that the sister and daughter relationship they should have had is now the relationship between Bell and someone else from her found family.
