The lanterns are my favorite part of DC, I think that they’re ability to literally turn their thoughts into things is extremely creative. The different lantern cores are very unique, but they are all underrated, even the Green Lantern Corps. Hal Jordan has his own movie, but what about the Green Lantern core as a whole. I think they should all get recognition because of their uniqueness. The Star Sapphires are mostly aliens from the planet Zamoran. They actually look like aliens with blue skin and violet eyes, instead of looking exactly like humans from earth like Kryptonians. The planet Zamoran looks extremely beautiful with shiny, violet crystals everywhere. The Orange Lantern, Larfleeze, is the only member of his core and has all of the power of avarice to himself. This makes him arguably the most powerful lantern of all, which should make him one of Hal Jordan’s most popular villains. The fact that he kills his enemies, absorbs them into his ring, and then makes them serve him is creative. His angry and crazy personality is also unique, and is not the same as The Joker’s happy and crazy personality. The Indigo Tribe speak their own language, and the smoking staffs that they carry make them unique. The fact that they are a tribe-like group with body paint and tattoos instead of just everyone wearing a standard lantern suit is also unique. There are more lanterns and more factors that make them each unique, but my point is they all are different and should get more recognition. Especially the new Gold Lantern and the Ultra-Violet Lantern Corps. The Phantom Ring should get more recognition as well. There is so much potential buried into each of these lantern cores that people do not even realize is there.  They have the potential to become some of the most popular subjects in superhero entertainment, and spawn more A-class superheroes and villains. #DCUniverse #Emotionalspectrum #lanterncores

I dunno what the title is...

Simple is so easy. Why didn’t I work on simple from the beginning? Not saying that the whole project is simple, I am just still looking at it in terms of being a Picasso when I should just worry at being myself. I have come across with a dilemma though. I cannot do hair. 

Could be because I am bald... that kinda gives one a unique perspective on the folically abundant. I can’t really see how I can do it, though I am working on seeing how as I go along. The lady above is Indigo-1 of the Indigo Tribe. I am still working on her a bit, I don’t have her hair yet. The Green Lantern is John Stewart. He’s been back and forth on the hair/bald train so I am not too worried at him. 

Arkillo here is my representative of the Yellow Lantern Corps. I am using him because not many outside of those who read the books know that he was the leader of that Corps for a bit when Sinestro was out Gallivanting. 

Though this one really looks ease (and if you work with Photoshop then it is) but it took me a little over an hour to get it right. Still working on the particulars though, like the fonts. 

I have come to one realization though. Illustrator and Photoshop are best used together. In a way I wish I learned that about 4 weeks ago, but better not too late than never.

The Race is on...

So here we are. Oral Presentations are done. We are now in full work mode. My plan is simple: work on three images of three of the Corps in two weeks. After the two weeks, I will move on to the next three regardless of how far I have gotten with the first three... you can see the pattern. This way, I can weed out one out of the three that has the least... potential. I’m going to be hiding in my den for a good portion of the semester. Not to avoid people, but to buffer them from my stress. 

I am beginning with Red, Orange, and Yellow. Photoshop CC is open, and I am staring at this:

On a quick side note. One of the people in my class who seems very stressed about the whole project triggered the Indigo in me. I was concerned because I’ve seen stress and anxiety levels that seemed to be at near self-destructive levels. She looked ready to implode when I saw her in the classes leading up to the oral presentations. 

Today, she fuckin nailed it. She was stressed, but she had a serious passion in her project once she started talking about it. Her Showcase is gonna be awesome.
