Was part of Evo smp for a short while before meeting Bdubs and joining the Empires server.

Died at the end of Empires after linking his life force to his empire, accidentally ascended to godhood, symbolic flower is the Aster flower.

Joined Hermitcraft in season 8 and joined the boatem crew, just in time for the moon falling.

Won Double Life after being abandoned by his soulmate OVER A CLOCK...no, he is still not over that, thank you for asking.

Has an... interesting relationship with Skizzleman.

Pearl (Cub's role)

(Vex + Old + Regular)

Aussie mad scientist is a pretty interesting combo lmao.

Vex, I headcanon Scar and Cub to not have been born vexes but to have become vexes trough magic, soooo Vex Pearl.

Still wears her hoodie under the lab coat.

Got corrupted by sculk at one point, they told her to stop putting the catalysts on people's bases and she was very compliany... started putting them UNDER the bases instead.

Started going all "cleaning lady" on the permit office and poe poe at one point and ended up becoming the new leader for both.

Cub (Skizz's role)

(Third Life + Regular)

Scar's best friend, has a survival ultrahardcore server with him where they play together and accomplish weird tasks. Why do that when Scar is...well, Scar? You see, that's the point.

Was present in all the life series but always gets out early mostly because he doesn't really care about winning, just causing psychological torment. So like...the opposite of our Skizz.

Joined Hermitcraft in season 10, got roaped into the Poe Poe pretty much randomly, he is very efficient at it though.

Skizz (Gem's role)

(Season 10 + Red Life + Regular)

Just a universe travelling angel, used to be in Empires and have a kingdom of lapis lazuli but that kinda went really badly. He met Impulse there though, that's really important.

Joined Hermitcraft in season 8 , got caught in the moon crashing, you already know that much.

Is not nearly as threatening as Gem? Still fought a lot of people but mostly to actually get better...and it kinda worked? Not as good as like a top pvp'er but still, improvement.

Got betrayed by Impulse, will never forgive, will never forget.

... In season 10 leans a lot more into the pirate aspect then Gem, feels like something he would like.

Gem (Joel's role)

(Last Life + Esmp 2 and 1 + Regular)

Like Scott she has been in many many many smp's.

She did not choose the mesa in Esmp1, she would have rather chosen the mountains but Skizz had already claimed them and doing something new is always fun!... Right?

Did not gain godhood like joel, she just revealed her pre-existing celestial goddess-ness to the other. That's because unlike the convex I do think she was born a celestial and therefore that doesn't change with the roleswap.

Does not go crazy when red like our Joel, no, she fully locks in and that's just as scary. Still took a while to get the win mostly because being hyperfocused on an objective or mission has a tendency to leave you... Vulnerable to surprises.

also maybe copperwatch shelby (pixandria great witch shelby) and gilded shepard joe (gilded helianthia pirate joe) but idk how besides the fact that they both have crushes on lord katherine

Joel (Tango's role)

(Dungeon Master + Regular)

Naturally brunette, the weird hair colour is entitely for the cool aesthetic.

Joined Hermitcraft all the way back in season 2 making him one of the oldest members, don't call him old though he's in his thirties and gets self concious about it.

Usually hangs out with Mumbo, Cub and Scar.

Used to be pretty bad at redstone but being in Hermitcraft for years has definitely changed that as anyone who has played decked out will attest.

Has a tendency to get overly careless mad in the life series and accidentally exploding himself trying to get kills.

Tango (Mumbo's role)

(Mooner + Regular)

Resident mad inventor.

Also joined in season 2 of Hermitcraft.

The machinations of his mind truly are an enigma.

Why does he keep getting thrust on positions of power? He really has redstone he should be working on and yet everyone wants to put in charge of something.

"It's pretty simple actually".

Tie is made of fire, do not grab it.

He's old, of course he's making a plan to transfer his conciousness into another body to live forever.

Mumbo (Zed's role)

Joined the Hermitcraft server back in season 5.

What if, and hear me out, the mad scientist had social anxiety.

Will put you in a death trap to see you struggle to escape and eventually give up and accept your demise though, do not be fooled by the facade.

Why did he decide to do a game show when he doesn't like being the centre of attention? In his defense it was a funny idea and when he realized he was going to have to be the host it was too late to go back.

Not associated with Potatoman, the potato looking crime fighting vigilante...totally.

Zedaph (Shubble's role)

(Storm witch + Regular)

Yes, he does dye his hair...or well, used to, ever since he had to leave his home he hasn't had the chance. The roots are growing back in pretty quickly.

Listen, when he escaped his own dimension bringing along a terrifying demon wasn't in the plan...accident happen sometimes... especially to him.

Got kicked out of the witches academy for "unethical experiments" and "unsupervised production of illegal drugs" and "magical being rights violations".

And then got possessed by an evil moss that took over his body...fun.

At least the goddess Gem brought him under her wing and tbought him all about storm magic.

Shubble (Jevin's role)

(Holiday+ Regular)

Joined in Hermitcraft season 2 ...wich looking at it now is the same season most of the previously mentioned characters joined.

Just a chill gal.

Not really, she's a mess, but if she pretends to be chill then no one will know. (Everyone, literally everyone knows).

She just can't believe she has to be the one to host the Hermitcraft christmas Secret Santa. Everyone is so busy lately, someone has to bring some sense of community to the server and if no one else steps foward she will.

Hates the Poe-Poe, she liked her definitely permanent totally not pop up shop she 100% did not forget to finish. Started the APAC (All Poe-poe Are Cringe).

IJevin (Beef's role)

For a slime having slime on your shirt is much the same as a human having blood on theirs.

Joined Hermitcraft in season 4.

Somehow got involved into the fish mob and Big Salmon™, if you find him with fish swimming inside his slime don't question it... Unless you want to get involved with that too.

Made the Hermits trading card game in season 9, it got him so stressed and tired his slime started to lose viscosity and melt randomly. (Like a certain other slime in a different mcyt smp after being pushed into lava but...less intense) the others had to host an intervantion and take over the card production in season 10.

Empires member, been in both season plus Afterlife SMP.

Founder of the church of Saint Impulse.

I didn't know what spacetime traveling pet to give him so I decided that his cows are all his Bubbles... All his cows, no exception.

If Gem is in Joel's role does that mean Hermes is his and Gem's son? Kinda but not really? It's complicated, It's magic. Also there's no Hermes here, the child is called Kore.

Sausage (Welsknight’s role)

Yes, Corrupted!Sausage is a Hels, fight me on it.

The Smitten Knight, I don't know how else to possibly describe him, we all know what Sausage is like. Puts together Sausage's flirtyness and the chivalry+ romance associated with knights.

I am just imagining Sausage rapping against himself, what is with Wels and rap anyway? If I had a nickel- *gets shot by Jimmy Solidaritygaming*

Disappears sometimes for long periods of time for unknown reasons.

Welsknight (Katherine Elizabeth's role)

Making an helmet-less Wels was incredibly cursed, had to combine Jimmy's and Grian's hair to make this.

Yeah, empires two has the curse thing that split the kingdom in two. Empires 2 Wels is kind of a fusion of Helsknight and Welsknight more then just Wels.

Of course I put the one that always builds castles in the role of the one that also always builds castles./j

Still really into knights but less in the "he's an actual knight" way and more in the "used to want to be a knight as a kid and never grew out of that phase" way.

I was thinking of a name to give Zed x Wels for this and tried genderbending Nature Wives and almost ended calling it Flower husbands. Settled on Woodland fiances.

Katherine (Rendog's role)

(Sci-fi + Red Spring + Regular)

Rose tinted glasses...but purple. Liliac tinted glasses? Is that a thing.

Katherine being in Rendog's role is entirely because I tought it would be funny with the whole cat and dog thing.

Also, more women in the life series, that is desperately needed.

Red Spring!Katherine gives me Thorn vibes, like The Thorn from Slay The Princess. Not necessarily aesthetically but more of a same-vibe thing.

Imagine her sci-fi visor has text on it, like saying what she feels (Happy, Sad, Angry...) ... Or what she wants you to think she is feeling.

Rendog (XB Crafted's role)

Is it weird that I like Ren with an hoodie on more then his regular skin?

Definitely one of the oldest members of Hermitcraft, been there ever since season 2.

Has only met this world's Martyn once, you'll understand when you eventually see Martyn, it still left a lasting impression... I don't think that a simple roleswap would make them any less weird about eachother.

Sued Tango over the shops. You thought Xb vs Mumbo was epic? Imagine that but with Ren being in the courtroom the whole time.

Xb (Joey's role)

(Fire/Ice Witch + Pirate + Lost Empire)

Yes, I made the Lost Empire prismarine inspired, but I don't think anything else would have fit him.

The orange and teal thing is a lot more obvious now, at the same time it feels right to me.

Pirate Xb had that weird thing going on with Wels... You know, the Pirate Joey/Katherine thing aka the weirdest part of empires lore.

As already stated in previous parts Pungence takes the place of Xonorth (Cause Bdubs takes Scott's). Therefore Xb x Pungence is also canon, that's one crackship for sure.

I know it’s probably something small, but there’s something about Hermitshift!Jimmy that’s getting to me. Like, assuming he places the same in the Life series as Grian does normally, it implies that the reason he always wants to win a season is because he felt that Hermitshift!Scott just toss him a win? On top of that inferiority complex he has based on the vibes of those notes? Like, poor guy.

But I also need to talk about Hermitshift!Scott bc the idea of him getting shirtless and dying from carelessness or bad luck, and constantly being underestimated, is kinda funny to think about. I’m rotating the Hermitshift AU in my head a bit. Losing it over Impskizz being Gempearl in this AU, along with the Scarian vibes.

Oh yeah, Hermit!Shift Jimmy has probably really bad self worth. Between being chosen as the second choice by the Watchers (who wanted Grian like in canon), the general ridicule from being a Jimmy and dying a lot, Scott basically doing his sacrifice thing and letting him win Third Life without a fight... Honestly getting second in Wild Life has been the biggest win for him.

HermitShift!Scott is interesting too, he doesn't really value his survival. Like, you could argue that for our Scott too but he is much worse about it. He is smart bit he isn't careful not because he can't but because he doesn't care to.

A while ago I made a post saying that Scott's and Xonorth storyline was like Dreamtale and that EX and Helsknight were basically like UnderFell.

This lead me to thinking about Au's and Hermitcraft and how there are many swap au's in every fandom but there are so little role shift or spin au's. Aka where the role changing Isn't a mirrored swap but instead a conga line of role changes.

So uh.

hey did you make the skins for your hermitshift/empiresshift au? if you did, do you think you might do commissions at some point in the future? it looks like you don't do em currently but I figure it couldn't hurt to ask

Oh, just use a pixel art app to modify the skin files and then use a skin editor site to upload and take a screenshot of the finished skin.

It's just editing, mix and mashing of already pre-existing skins, very little is made by me so I don't feel comfortable doing things like commissions for this.
