Couldn’t sleep so I made a tier list of how closely the Hermit’s skins resemble them irl (sorry the big tiermaker logo covered Zed and Scar):

Explanations:

Everyone in the top tier has the (mostly) correct hair and eye color. Not looking for perfect color matches but close enough that it is at least reminiscent of their real hair and eye color. Also, the correct amount of facial hair.

In the second tier, we have Grian who obviously doesn’t have black pits for eyes, Ren who has a much less distinct mustache and significantly lighter hair, Gem who’s hair (currently) is a much darker red/auburn rather than ginger, Joel who has no green streak in his hair, and Wels whose skin just doesn’t have hair when the only irl photo of him I saw does. All of them look close enough to their MC skin with some minor differences basically.

In the third tier we have Keralis and Hypno who are both missing their beards (which is enough of a difference to me for them to make them just not look like their skin at all), Skizz and Joe who are just using Steve skins as a base and do not look like that, Tango who does not have blonde hair nor red eyes, and Mumbo who both doesn’t have black hair and is clean shaven.

The fourth tier is for Hermits who’s skins just aren’t humans. Obviously real people Doc and Jevin aren’t a creeper or slime.

The last tier is just for people who don’t have public face reveals and thus we have no way of knowing if they look like that. Maybe Etho really is Kakashi. Maybe X really is the Doom guy. Maybe Cleo really is a zombie. Maybe XB really is a normal man. We have no way of confirming or denying any of it.

Also side note, the Hermit tier list I found used this Joe skin but if it was his current skin it would be in the top tier cause that one really does look like him.

Chapter Two:"and they live happily ever after"

Impuls sat at his desk, fingers flying across the keyboard. He was deep in his work when, out of nowhere, Tango’s fist slammed onto the desk.

Impuls yanked off his headphones, blinking up at him in confusion. "What’s up?"

"We need to talk."

"Yeah, you’re right," Impuls admitted with a sigh. "I definitely took on a project way too big with way too little time—classic me. Do you think Xsoma will be mad if I don’t finish coding his game?"

Tango crossed his arms. "This isn’t about Xsoma. We need to talk about yesterday."

Impuls frowned. "What about yesterday?"

"Why did you decide to come out to us? The Z.I.T.S. crew?" Tango asked, his tone sharp—more investigative than curious.

Impuls shrugged. "Because you guys are my best friends? Obviously, I told my parents. Told my siblings. Now it was your turn!"

Tango raised a brow. "And it had nothing to do with certain feelings toward a particular angel named Skizz who happens to be in this friend group?"

Impuls flushed. "No."

"You sure? ‘Cause when I first saw you two together back when we all met, I thought, ‘Wow, the introverted demon, who only seems truly happy when he’s talking about coding, is somehow completely at ease around the loudest, most social guy in the room! good platonic friendship still exists'. But after your reaction yesterday, when Skizz said he had feelings for you… well, suddenly I’m not so sure it’s just platonic."

Impuls had two options.

One—tell Tango to mind his own damn business. Probably what most people would say.

Or two—just admit it.

"Yeah, you know what? Yes, I’m in love with Skizz."

Tango blinked, visibly thrown off. "Okay… are you gonna tell him?"

Impuls scoffed. "What? Absolutely not! Do I look like the kind of person who just tells someone that kind of thing?I’m going to follow him like some lost puppy for at least five months. Every day, my feelings will grow and grow—until one day, he shows up here in a Po-Po uniform because Etho got in trouble for something stupid, like not paying a fine. And I’ll look at him and think, ‘Oh my god, he’s so hot in that uniform.’ Then I’ll follow him to Etho’s lab in the basement—you know that guy hasn’t seen sunlight in years—and we’ll accidentally get locked in an air chamber, which of course is controlled by one of Etho’s ridiculous invention clocks. And then, when we’re stuck in that tiny space together, I won’t be able to hold back anymore and I’ll just—kiss him."

Impuls finished his dramatic monologue, gesturing like he was narrating some romance novel.

Tango just stared, hands on his hips, looking thoroughly unimpressed. "Impuls. What the hell?"

Impuls chuckled. "Obviously, that’s not how it’s going to happen. I don’t live in a romantic fantasy, Tango. But do you honestly think I can just walk up to him and say, ‘Hey, the guy I’ve been friends with since high school, the guy whose sister I dated because she was the closest thing to dating him—I’ve been in love with you since the day I walked into that drum lesson you were teaching. Wanna be my boyfriend?’ It doesn’t work like that, Tango."

Tango sighed. "Okay, okay. Do what you think is best... You want coffee?"
