In game she’s an Arbalist/ zodiac with an imbued snipe/ sharpshooter build… She does crazy stuff like this

She’s also Hana’s fucked up and strange teacher and in game they are almost incompatible ITS SO FUNNY.

Inhibition of bromodomain and extraterminal domain reduces growth and invasive characteristics of chemoresistant ovarian carcinoma cells

Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is the most lethal gynecological malignancy worldwide. Development of chemoresistance and peritoneal dissemination are the major reasons for low survival rate in the patients. The bromodomain and extraterminal domain (BET) proteins are known as epigenetic ‘readers,’ and their inhibitors are novel epigenetic strategies for cancer treatment. Accumulating body of evidence indicates that epigenetic modifications have critical roles in development of EOC, and overexpression of the BET family is a key step in the induction of important oncogenes. Here, we examined the mechanistic activity of I-BET151, a pan-inhibitor of the BET family, in therapy-resistant EOC cells. Our findings showed that I-BET151 diminished cell growth, clonogenic potential, and induced apoptosis. I-BET151 inhibited cell proliferation through down-modulation of FOXM1 and its targets aurora kinase B and cyclin B1. I-BET151 attenuated migration and invasion of the EOC cells by down-regulation of epithelial–mesenchymal transition markers fibronectin, ZEB2, and N-cadherin. I-BET151 synergistically enhanced cisplatin chemosensitivity by down-regulation of survivin and Bcl-2. Our data provide insights into the mechanistic activity of I-BET151 and suggest that BET inhibition has potential as a therapeutic strategy in therapy-resistant EOC. How to sign up for emergency alerts

If there was an emergency in your neighborhood, how would you find out?

Many cities and counties have a notification system that will call your home phone and text or call your mobile phone when there is a fire, flood or other emergency situation.

ADAMS COUNTY

Adams County uses the CodeRED notification service to contact home landline phone numbers within the geographical jurisdictions of the City of Bennett, the City of Brighton, Commerce City, the City of Northglenn, Unincorporated Adams County, and the Adams County portion of Strasburg. This system can also send alerts to cell phones, but residents personally need to register their cell phones into the system. Residents must register under the address in which they’d like to receive notifications. Reregistering the same cell phone number under different addresses (i.e. work, school, and home) is also possible. Register your cell phone here.

ARAPAHOE COUNTY

Arapahoe County said residents and businesses with land line phones are already listed in Arapahoe County's 9-1-1 database, and are therefore automatically included in the notification system. You may register additional mobile devices here.

AURORA

Aurora allows residents to register their preferred means of communication -- cellular phone, text message, email or all three. Learn more here.

BROOMFIELD

Broomfield city and county uses the CodeRed system to send out emergency alerts. Home phone numbers are entered into the 9-1-1 database and dialed automatically.  CodeRED will not call a cell phone or VoIP system phone unless it has been registered. Register here.

BOULDER COUNTY

Boulder County has a mass notification system that is used to notify residents about imminent threats to health and safety such as the need to evacuate due to a wildfire, or take other appropriate actions in the event of a flash flood or other critical police activity. DENVER

Denver says it uses the Swift911 Emergency Notification System to alert residents to emergency situations like police activity, severe storm warnings, road closures, water problems and evacuations that are occurring in their area. Learn more and sign up here.

DOUGLAS COUNTY

Douglas County allows residents to sign up for emergency alerts and register their gate codes through the CodeRED system.

ELBERT COUNTY

Gilpin County also uses CodeRED to deliver pre-recorded information to either targeted areas or the entire county. Residents may register two phone numbers here.

JEFFERSON COUNTY

In Jefferson County, the CodeRED emergency notification system is used to citizens with warnings of flood, fire, tornadoes, chemical spills, or dangerous suspects.

LARIMER COUNTY

Larimer County's Emergency Alert System allows residents to sign up to receive alerts on your mobile phone in the form of texts, voice calls and emails. You can register multiple devices (cell phones, emails, etc) and sign up for several different locations that are important to you (i.e. your child’s school or your elderly parent’s house)

WELD COUNTY

Weld County said it uses the CodeRed system to inform the public of "immediate threats to health and safety"  including severe weather situations, a boil water order if systems are compromised, or a notice that you should stay inside because of critical police activity.  Signing up for the EOC alerts here.

Does Aurora use the regular arbalist crossbow in OoS canon or does she just blast people to hell and back with her zodiac arm thing?

Well, firstly, you reminded me I’ve spent too long not drawing Aurora…

Neither and both!

You know the beams all the zodiacs have? In my EOverse they are concentrated etheric energy. Sort of like lasers! One can cast magic the old fashioned (Beginner friendly, takes a ton of energy) way with sigils or… once they reach a certain control they can use the lasers .

Aurora can use the lasers like bolts in rapid succession! (So does another character…) So… she kinda does have a crossbow. Well… magic bolts that explode on impact. But that’s more of what she does at her prime or when she’s actually in danger. In OoS canon, she uses normal attack sigils bc she prefers NOT to use the bolts near Hana. (USING THE FACT SHE CAN’T USE SNIPE w/ HANA TO FUEL HER CHARACTER)

Her spin off stuff is where she’d go beast mode probably.

She barely wears her zodiac wing (ether generator) due to her bad leg. She can still cast w/o it. But with it she’d do both, (Crossbow and Generator) but she chooses neither most times.

My friend @proyected (@Brandino) drew a Hana sketch shockingly similar to what I imagined Aurora’s casting to look like,, so here’s that too! (Till I can draw an example!)🫡 CHeck them out!!!

I did draw Rory for her birthday too (7/4), but didn’t like it initially. Edited it after drawing Tank. So here she is now🥹

They don’t celebrate her birthday in OoS 😔

This is based on a scene where Hana talks to her outside. The whole time she doesn’t look Hana in her eyes. I like the scene a lot bc it’s the first time Aurora is solemn. (Her true nature I guess) she’s always been meticulous, but she hides it under a smile. This is the first time she’s honest with Hana. Well sort of.

she’s not feigning a smile. She’s not being silly. She’s serious and it’s the first time she’s ever felt the need to be that way with Hana.

I love drawing rory smiling n all, but Hana doesn't LIE about her in her upcoming smack talks. Rory's an asshole and that's why Hana is one.

Her real nature is in when she's solemn like in the recent... She just dresses it up with a grin that's hard to see through. I think that part of her is interesting bc it makes it harder to believe Hana saying things like "why can't you just be happy I did it?" when Aurora is "smiling and praising her", when really Rory's being condescending and talking over Hana's achievements

Her smiles with younger Hana are genuine, just like Hana's smiles were back then too. It's just after Hana turned 14, Hana wanted more and Aurora... Doesn't see why Hana would.

Her chapters are some of my favs bc there's all this build up to her and Hana does all this work to show that she's capable enough for Rory and Rory still "treats her like she doesn't know anything". Hana doesn't compared to Rory. Hana has 10 years of learning astrology compared to Aurora's 45 ish. But 10 is still a lot. Their conflict is just 😭 Bc I don't think either is entirely wrong, they just have resentments toward each other...

Rory is one of the zodiacs who had the paint removed from her generator. However, she did this for the reverse reason. Her generator is a high level model, an F7I. White/Yellow, energy absorption is higher and more unstable, and it’s part of the rarest hyper edition.

Rory is a big fan of not letting anyone know anything about herself though 🤩 So. She peeled the paint off herself and hardly ever wears it! She uses different excuses each time. “I don’t really need it, it hurts my leg.” Is the only one that’s valid, but it’s definitely not the first reason why she stopped wearing it.

Other exceptions!

Maia should have a white or blue generator, but had hers recolored to purple bc she likes purple :] There will be a lot of non traditional colors.

Vega has a main sequence model that is white. It has not been repainted, it’s just a powerful main sequence generator (A0V) that was painted ivory to show it.

This is probably how she was able to normalize avant etheric charge, her generator is highly effective at bringing energy to her (a condensed point) and she condenses it even further for a big explosion afterwards ough ough……

THAT OR EVEN SICKER. SHE ABSORBS STELLAR ENERGY HERSELF AND HAS THE GENERATOR EXPEL IT (hers is modified to do so)

Chapter 4 is out, and now I can finally talk about Jewels and ether generators 🥹 The zodiac wings,, ofc more about them like types, purpose, and zodiac lore in the chapter + author’s note.

I had Hana refer to hers, Jewels, with she/her pronouns despite the generator not being like... fully conscious. And ever since I've been doing it too! Jewels beloved…. She grew on me….She was always a part of the story, but I wanted to highlight her more and give her a bit of personality.

Hana named her after Saturn, the Jewel of solar system and her favorite planet. The “S” came just because saying “Jewels” is smoother than “Jewel”. Hana likes to act cool, but she loves naming things with intention. Saturn is seen as a symbol of structure, responsibility, and working toward her goals. For her, Jewels is the same. A great friend that may be hard for her to use, but will ultimately help her succeed.

fourth pleiad! Alcyone! 💚

Back on the zodiac oc grind,,,

Alcyone is the brightest star in the Pleiades star cluster… And I was gonna make her stronger than Electra for that, but I decided! She simply will be smarter. She is the equivalent of a really smart kid you knew in school that purposely pissed off the teacher. What differentiates her from say Aurora is that Aurora was the smart kid that wanted to outsmart the teacher. Alcyone is the smart kid who outdumbed the teacher.

She’s older now, she’s less annoying but still pretends to be less smart. In the midst of a dumb statement though she’ll drop the wisest of wisdoms upon you and say “But that’s just my opinion 🤷🏿‍♀️, if that makes sense” She’s the chillest teacher. Takes her apprentices on “field trips” to teach them things. She’s more hands off and at times her apprentices just wander away. It’s awesome.

She’s got a reputation for being listless, which is funny bc she still does get a flair. She is a skilled energy manipulator, but not in the cosmic sense like Electra or Vega. She’s not doing gem explosions or laser beams. She follows the teachings of their parents, using the energies on earth (from the sun)

She can control and ride the wind for her flair.

Which makes it funny she has wings bc she technically wouldn’t need her wings, but she uses them for the cool bird factor.

Alcyone the mythological figure was turned into a kingsfisher. Our Pleiad here took a lot of inspiration from that. Her ether generator was blue, but she had a sheen green layer applied over it, so it’s green with bluish shimmers in sunlight. Also she is wearing two generators she modded into one (like a jet pack). Her glasses are also sundials (I have to draw the details.) She uses them to figure out the sun’s location.

She doesn’t cut her hair short like this until after a timeskip, but I like it this way sooo.

With her sisters she’s the witty and sarcastic one along with the next sister Celaeno 💛. Underneath all that though she probably could take on even the most powerful zodiacs with her fundamental knowledge.

On stream, someone asked me which members in the guild were Haters vs Lovers!! I needed to make a chart!!

S: Haters that hate so hard the A tier haters go speechless. Aurora’s flair allows her to learn any info about anyone and she uses it to HATE. She is so much of a hater she will leave other haters GAGGED

A: Hana gets to armoroad and her first thought is “This place BLOWS!!!!” Obligatory top hater of the A-tier Hebe and Enid are her second in commands.

B: Ezra, Alope and Smiley are really funny bc they all know what they’re doing. Alope will be so kind and then she will hit you with the “People like you” 💀 Ezra will read your mind to please you, but when you act out of line he will say the most rancid thought you have about yourself. Smiley will do something weird and when scolded she’ll cry— as soon as the scolded apologizes she’ll mutter “SUCKER!!!” And giggle.

C: Gonna use Tank for this one. He looks like Enid’s number one hater, but every action he takes is FOR Enid. He just hides that under some sarcasm.

D: The chillest OoS characters.

E: rated E for everyone. Ignis and Magnolia invite total strangers over for dinner just to cook for them. Yahra is so kind and pure-hearted, Alope feels a little bad she looks up to her. Granny Perrywinkle has been loving and supporting the children of Armoroad ever since the calamity. Even tho SHE was a child then.

Granny gets extra points bc she has memory issues but even if she can’t remember… She’ll treat you like her own.

My fav thing about Aurora is that she "knows everything" but doesn't know (or rather believe) Maia has feelings for her.

Maia could be giving her the most longing stare in the world, glancing at her lips while she's talking and Aurora will convolute it to "Damn, she keeps glaring at me. She must really hate my guts......"

Thinking how Rory is such an s tier hater, but she still can be outclassed. Thinking of SS tier haters? and it’s all Lazasia’s fault.

She’s the real enemy. Hate isn’t the opposite of love, apathy is. And Laz doesn’t care. Mostly.

Mainly thinking about how she gets Aurora so hard Aurora has to take Hana as an apprentice. Speedrun:

The titan is about to be released and Lazasia thinks she’ll die fighting against it.

Aurora traveled to Tharsis briefly. She wanted to see the sky from an airship before things went to shit, so she put up a request.

Laz takes it, not bc she wants to do the request. lil Hana begged her to do the same thing. Might as well get a reward from this weird lady and get Hana to stop nagging her about it.

Hana and Aurora hold cute conversations about the stars, and… wait…

Aurora gives Lazasia the reward.

Lazasia sales pitches Hana as an apprentice mainly that “Even if you don’t like her, her parents are loaded. They’ll pay you at least 4000 ental a week. You clearly need it given this reward.”

How do you gag Aurora like that 😭 Called her poor…….

I've decided to call this version of the Etheric charge the "Avant" version. And it was likely Vega's master that invented it. Vega popularized it since she can do it so well.

Before Vega popularized it, Rory did use it tho. Aethra did not however. She likely scolded Aurora for trying new magic instead of the fundamentals. This is funny for two reasons: 1.) Aurora is so filled with spite she DID find a way to incorporate the principles of astrology into it just to spite Aethra. 2.) Aurora says the same to Hana later knowing Hana only wants to use it for how flashy it is.

More about the lasers, they were popularized by ours truly, Vega.

They concentrate the energy into such a small area they explode on contact. I’d like to think its etheric charge in EO nexus. Turns all binary skills to single target sort of deal. She can concentrate atoms so close she can do near nuclear amounts of damage.

Also fun fact. Hana can’t really use them. She can sort of charge, but in the end bits of the element come out of hers. That bit about her and the summer triangle’s trials? She actually just barely passed them due to this. What got her to pass without the lasers were her premonitions and grasp on astronomy. And she knows it. She’s proud of it.

She still was very ashamed when Vega approached her and basically said this tho.

Real line is much nicer…

It’s really funny Vega says this bc she doesn’t have extrasensory powers like Hana. Hana could have said “No you…..”

Edits I’m gonna mod into EO3HD on steam in a few days…

My EOC Aurora and… no underboob Alope.

I still am probably gonna use my main party, but I wanna find a zodiac build for Aurora so I can use her too.

On my switch EO3, I have 2 more zodiacs besides Hana. A zodiac/ Arbalist (double action star skills) and a zodiac/ gladiator (Freezing Blow). These two (Ezra and Abaddon) respectively.

Hana herself is a zodiac/ gladiator (meteor).

Canonically, Aurora uses Ice… and she is ridiculously good at it. So it’d make sense to either sub Abaddon out, but I… don’t wanna I like Abby. Seriously considering making Aurora smt crazy like a Arbalist/Zodiac that uses element embued Snipe. 🤔

Could add to her character too. Hm… Ideas!!!
