Title: The Miseducation of Evie Epworth | Author: Matson Taylor | Publisher: Scribner UK (2021)

I'm unsure we can put the musicians I mentioned in my discussions about the popular music from the late noughts on into one category. I mean, one could delineate several developments in the period I discuss, though I think one of the things we need to be certain is the lack of barrier between the genres in the popular music. For instance, Coldplay were popular before the late noughts, but they became colossal afterwards. While they were already something of the elder statesmen by the time they gained their biggest successes, they somehow fit their consequent collaborations. For instance, they did a tune with a tragically departed Avicii that works. I know, I know, the song might be someone chasing the EDM bandwagon at the time, yet Coldplay really suit the style quite well.
