Tecnopolo di Bologna leader nel calcolo quantistico

Firmato il contratto per l’acquisto di EuroQCS-Italy, un nuovo calcolatore quantistico da 13 milioni di euro in Italia. Lo strumento sfrutterà una tecnologica basata su atomi neutri in grado di fornire fino a 140 qubits, che saranno operati in maniera analogica per l'implementazione degli algoritmi. Firmato il contratto per l'acquisto di EuroQCS-Italy, il sistema di calcolo quantistico italiano selezionato nell'ambito dell'impresa comune EuroHPC, che segna un nuovo decisivo passo verso il raggiungimento dell'autonomia nazionale ed europea nel settore strategico del calcolo quantistico. Realizzato dalla compagnia Pasqal, il calcolatore affiancherà (tra la fine del 2025 e l'inizio del 2026) una seconda piattaforma di calcolo quantistico, IQM Radiance, all'interno del DAMA Tecnopolo di Bologna. L'iniziativa EuroQCS-Italy, che vede la partecipazione di Cineca, in veste di coordinatore e hosting entity, del Network per l'Accademia e la Ricerca Sloveno e del Centro Ricerche Julich (Germania), è co-finanziato dal ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca attraverso l'ICSC (Centro Nazionale di Ricerca in HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing), che sosterrà i costi anche per l'acquisto del computer IQM.

EuroQCS-Italy è frutto di un in investimento di 13 milioni di euro, finanziato per il 50% dal Mur con il Centro Nazionale ICSC e per il restante 50% da EuroHPC. Il nuovo calcolatore sfrutterà una tecnologica basata su atomi neutri in grado di fornire fino a 140 qubits, che saranno operati in maniera analogica per l'implementazione degli algoritmi. Nel 2027 è inoltre previsto un aggiornamento della piattaforma che consentirà di incrementarne le prestazioni e la capacità di affrontare e risolvere un più ampio numero di problemi. Europe Aims to Lead the Quantum Race with New Report
Shaping a European Strategy in Quantum Technology proposes a bold EU lead in quantum technology development. The approach, developed by expert working groups from all 27 EU member states and coordinated by the European Commission, combines quantum research, infrastructure, and commercialisation. Ultimate goals include technical sovereignty, economic resiliency, minimising dependent on external systems, and placing Europe as a quantum technology leader. The report proposes creating a continent-wide ecosystem of computing facilities, secure communication networks, and industrial applications to make Europe the world's first “Quantum Valley.”
Research and Talent:
This working group seeks to strengthen Europe's research base and talent pipeline. A new cross-border research coordination platform should align EU and state goals. University, lab, startup, and significant industry collaborations should be prioritised. The goal is to create Quantum Competence Clusters, localised but connected centres that combine industry, infrastructure, and knowledge to reduce fragmentation and improve resource access.
The research recommends internships, student exchanges, workforce retraining, graduate programs, specialist master's degrees, and industry-specific upskilling. It also recommends early public outreach, ethical frameworks, and assessing social and economic impacts, including  quantum computing cybersecurity issues. Tax concessions, industrial fellowships, and streamlined visa procedures to compete with well-funded firms prioritise talent retention.
Infrastructure:
This team connects research to marketable products. A Quantum Infrastructure Point of Contact group to coordinate Member State computing, communication, sensing, and chip manufacturing activities is one of the primary recommendations. The plan suggests extending the EuroHPC-QCS initiative to create a network of quantum computing and simulation capabilities integrated with high-performance computing centres across Europe to support Quantum Computing Excellence Centres and expand access for SMEs.
The foundation supports an operational Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI) that connects national networks utilising quantum key distribution for safe EU communications. To translate sensing and metrology advances from lab to industry, the study prioritises pilot initiatives and industry relationships. The EU Chips Act establishes quantum device pilot lines to ensure strategic autonomy and reduce dependency on non-European components in the fourth pillar, chip manufacturing.
Industrialisation:
This working group aims to accelerate commercialisation. This is centred on a planned Fault-Tolerance Quantum Computing (FTQC) Competitive Procurement Challenge that would award public contracts to scalable quantum processor manufacturers. The group urges European governments to spearhead quantum solution implementation. Improved patent creation, licensing, and monetisation help might boost the EU's intellectual property portfolio.
Concerted standardisation includes financial incentives for Member States and EU-wide engagement in international standards bodies. The analysis advises obtaining money from venture capital, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and EU institutions and giving investors with specific educational programs to address underfunding.
The report's main proposal is to combine national and European efforts in these three areas. Goals include reducing dependence on foreign quantum technologies and nurturing European quantum champions who compete globally. The policy emphasises technical autonomy and economic security geopolitically, reflecting the growing need to close the quantum gap with China and the US.
Despite its extent, budgetary constraints, skill shortages, undeveloped venture capital ecosystems, and a lack of national plans or cooperation in some Member States hinder plan execution. The study addresses infrastructure, commercialisation, and research as interrelated parts, providing a logical roadmap. Political will, financial alignment, and the ability to move faster than competitors will determine its success. The proposal might transform Europe into a quantum innovation powerhouse with strategic resilience and long-term economic rewards.

Did You know your country is getting an AI Factory?
So… since last month, the first 7 Countries with their own AI Factory, blessed by the EuroHPC, are Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and Sweden. In a second round another 6 more will follow: Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany (I’m guessing they secured a 2nd one), Poland and Slovenia. More specifically Greece, who is going to set in work the new supercomputer Daedalus as the next phase in 2026, is also looking to secure a second one for (possibly) Thessaloniki.
Apparently the newest Internet Laws about Privacy and Data that had been revised and reshaped to be far more intrusive and identifying of individuals just this February, are going to be based on data harvesting from this new AI Factory, serve for it’s training and double as the Eye of The Big Brother in our day to day online lives. Every piece of data, every connection, is going to be catalogued, analysed and utilised against our freedoms.
I do not even like the idea, that personal, identifying, medical information are going to be catalogued involuntarily the instant someone enters the Health system in ANY of the participating countries, since the patients’ data are going to be shared within the network. Because make no mistake, they will not ask for your permission.
I suppose all we can do now is wait and see our lives being monitored 24/7, since there seems to be no way to avoid it as our rights are already trampled by the fact that we never got a say on wether we wanted this or not…
I urge you all to read more about this, and to get informed about any new laws that have possibly been passed these past months since January in your countries, as well. The EC is taking advantage of the fact that we are already tired and enforces changes that tear down the very fabric of our rights as individuals.

Με τη δημιουργία του εργοστασίου Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης (ΤΝ) υπό την ονομασία Φάρος (AI Factory Pharos) η Ελλάδα αλλάζει επίπεδο στον τομέα της Τεχνολογίας. Αποκτά τα εφόδια για να εισέλθει στην πρώτη γραμμή της τεχνολογικής ανάπτυξης που σήμερα κινείται γύρω από τη Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη. Η υλοποίηση του εργοστασίου Φάρος αποτελεί έργο αρχικού προϋπολογισμού 30 εκατ. (σε συνδυασμό με την υποδομή στην οποία θα στηριχθεί, τον υπερυπολογιστή Δαίδαλο, η συνολική επένδυση είναι ύψους περίπου 100 εκατ. ευρώ). Μεταξύ άλλων στον τομέα της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης, στο πλαίσιο του εργοστασίου ΤΝ θα αναπτυχθούν μοντέλα βασισμένα σε δεδομένα γεωεπισκόπησης για να βοηθήσουν στην πρόβλεψη φαινομένων που σχετίζονται με την κλιματική κρίση και την πολιτική προστασία. Στον τομέα της υγείας, θα αναπτυχθούν γενικά μοντέλα που θα μπορούν να προσαρμοστούν σε συγκεκριμένες εφαρμογές. Για παράδειγμα, ένας ψηφιακός βοηθός γιατρού στο Δημόσιο θα μπορούσε να αναλύει απεικονιστικές εξετάσεις και να παρέχει μια πρώτη διάγνωση σε κείμενο, την οποία ο γιατρός θα επιβεβαιώνει ή θα διορθώνει. Αντίστοιχα, στη Δικαιοσύνη ένας ψηφιακός βοηθός θα ανατρέχει σε μεγάλο αριθμό δικαστικών αποφάσεων για να βοηθήσει τον δικαστή στη σύνταξη μιας απόφασης και στον τομέα της εφοδιαστικής αλυσίδας, ένα μοντέλο ΤΝ θα δημιουργήσει την πρώτη προσφορά, βασιζόμενο σε προηγούμενα συμβόλαια και τους όρους ασφάλισης εμπορευμάτων.

IBM and Basque Government to Launch Europe’s First Quantum Computing Hub in Spain

IBM … and the Basque Government have announced plans to install Europe’s first IBM Quantum System Two in San Sebastián, Spain. This initiative is part of the BasQ project, which seeks to position the Basque Country as a center for quantum technology development.
The IBM Quantum System Two will be housed at the IBM Euskadi Quantum Computational Center on the Ikerbasque Foundation’s main campus in San Sebastián. The system is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
The system will be powered by a 156-qubit IBM Quantum Heron processor, designed to execute complex algorithms beyond the capabilities of classical computers. Built by the Franco-German team ParTec-Eviden, Europe’s first exascale supercomputer, JUPITER, will enable breakthroughs in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and take scientific simulations and discoveries to a new level. Procured by the European supercomputing initiative EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), it will be operated by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), one of three national supercomputing centres within the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS). Since the middle of this year, JUPITER has been gradually installed at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Currently, the modular high-performance computing facility, known as the Modular Data Centre (MDC), is being delivered to house the supercomputer. The hardware for JUPITER’s booster module will occupy 125 racks, which are currently being pre-installed at Eviden’s flagship factory in Angers, France, and will then be shipped to Jülich ready for operation.
The final JUPITER system will be equipped with approximately 24,000 NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips, specifically optimized for computationally intensive simulations and the training of AI models. This will enable JUPITER to achieve more than 70 ExaFLOP/s in lower-precision 8-bit calculations, making it one of the world’s fastest systems for AI. The current JETI pilot system contains 10 racks, which is exactly 8 percent of the size of the full system. In a trial run using the Linpack Benchmark for the TOP500 list, JETI achieved a performance of 83 petaflops, which is equivalent to 83 million billion operations per second (1,000 PetaFLOP is equal to 1 ExaFLOP). With this performance JETI ranks 18th on the current TOP500 list of the world’s fastest supercomputers, doubling the performance of the current German flagship supercomputer JUWELS Booster, also operated by JSC. …

This sounds like another step to 666.

Data thieves

Monitoring the buying and selling of everything is something that quatum or other computers can do.
The Bible shows that a European power will arise that will control buying and selling:
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-17)
When the Apostle John penned the above, such control of buying and selling was not possible.
However, with supercomputers. AI, and digital payments, it is now.
The European Union has already announced it was launching surveillance software (see ‘The EU is allowing the linking of face recognition databases to create a mega surveillance system’ 666 infrastructure being put into place).
And, now, it looks to be closer to having the supercomputer hardware to make it more of a reality.
There is also an office in the EU to enforce its financial rules.

EU Setting Up 666 Enforcer?
The European Union is in the process of establishing the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. This is a major, first-of-its-kind move, with the EU setting up a European-wide prosecutor’s office that will have power to investigate and charge people for financial crimes committed against the EU. It looks like this type of office may end up persecuting those that do not have the mark of the Beast when they “buy or sell” as that will later be considered a financial crime in Europe. What does 666 mean? How has that name be calculated? How can we be certain that this is a prophecy for Europe and not Islam? Is the appointment of this new office of significant prophetic importance? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more by pointing to scriptures, news items, and historical accounts.

So, yes, there is an enforcer.
Now there is hardware, more surveillance software, and massively faster computation ability.
Persecution will come.
Jesus warned Christians to flee persecution:
23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes (Matthew 10:23).
Surveillance software on supercomputers may well be a factor in fleeing from multiple cities.
Europe in particular is moving more and more towards becoming an Orwellian totalitarian state (watch also Is Germany Becoming Orwell’s 1984?).
When will this fully be in place?
After the Gospel of the Kingdom of God has sufficiently reached the world the end comes and the Beast will rise up (Matthew 24:14-22, Revelation 13, 17:12-13).
We are getting closer to that day.
It looks like quantum supercomputers are another step towards 666.

İSTANBUL (İGFA) – Avrupa Birliği’nin (AB) rekabetçi Digital Europe Programı kapsamında FFplus ve EuroHPC çağrıları ile desteklenen proje sayesinde yapay zeka modelleri kişisel gerçek bir asistan gibi çalışacak. Konuyu değerlendiren Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Veri Bilimi ve Yapay Zeka Enstitüsü Öğretim Üyesi Doç. Dr. Şener Özönder,  “Bizim için tatil planı yapabilen, uçak ve otel biletlerimizi satın alabilen, alışveriş yapabilen, bizimle sesli olarak etkileşim kurup bizim zevklerimize göre yemek siparişi veren, toplantı ayarlayan bir model düşünün. Zaten yıllardır filmlerde gördüğümüz yapay zeka tam da bu değil mi?” dedi.

Francouzsko-německé konsorcium složené ze společnosti Eviden, která je předním světovým dodavatelem superpočítačových řešení, a německého výrobce modulárních superpočítačů ParTec oznámilo uzavření smlouvy s evropskou iniciativou EuroHPC o dodání prvního evropského superpočítače dosahujícího výkonu v řádu trilionů operací za sekundu, který bude provozovat Superpočítačové centrum v německém Jülichu. Celková cena projektu činí 500 milionů eur. Superpočítač, který dostal jméno JUPITER, představuje přelom na evropské cestě ke špičkovým vědeckým výsledkům a nezávislosti průmyslu.
