When Lightning (Or Claire, but it feels strange to be called it by anyone other than Serah and Lumina) awoke in the New World, it was a few days after Serah did,

Seeing Serah again made Lightning feel a surge of emotions, and above all else, there was one she focused on:

Love: And one that wasn't exactly... sisterly.

Back then, before everything went to shit, Lightning knew the way Serah looked at her. She knew it wasn't right, and kept it to herself.

When Serah started dating Snow, it was then Lightning had the revelation of how much she needed Serah, and only Serah, in her life.

But then, the whole mess started; and ended, before Yeul launched her to Valhalla (she still isn't sure on what to make of Serah and Yeul...), and then, Serah...

Being The Saviour was tiring. It was, she believed, a good cause, but she was still tired. Sometimes, she spent her time standing so still, time itself paused for her. And during those times, there was only one single thing on her mind. A person. A name.

Serah Farron.

Serah, Serah, Serah.

And then, the finale; she killed God, and founded the New World. She was happy. Happier in eons.

Then, Lumina--Lumina Farron--appeared.

It was so strange, seeing two mirror images of her little sister, but the two were everything the other wanted.

For Lumina, she wanted to have a relaxed persona; for Serah, she wanted to be more confident.

Though, that wasn't the end of the things that happened.

It was meant to be a nonchalant comment, a throwaway gag, as Lightning saw Serah without Snow when the two were in their new, oddly cozy home. "I haven't seen Snow in a while. Something wrong between you and him?"

Serah looked up at Lightning from the collection of movies she had. "Oh, right, I never said. Me and Snow... are done."

Lightning's mind was ablaze with emotions, and one was joy, of all things. Serah continued, picking up one that featured that one symbiotic alien. "After everything, Snow and I thought we should try and stop; he was great, really! It's just that, well... it wasn't going to work out, after all the trouble we've been through..."

She then smiled, looking at Lightning. "And, besides, I may have found something better."

"What do you mean?"

The pinkette rolled her eyes, crystal blue meeting the ones of her older sister. "You, Claire. Cheesy, I know, but... after travelling through time itself, it helped me get my thoughts together. And it made me realise that, holy Etro, I am down bad."

Lightning blinked. "Eh?"

A giggle from behind her made the hair on the back of Lightning's neck stick up, as Lumina came into her vision, crystal blue twinkling. "It means that, no offense, Serah wants you to ram her into the mattress."

Pink dashed across Lightning's cheeks, and red exploded on Serah's. "I-I do not!"

"Serah, sis, don't deny it." Lumina moved like a snake towards, her 'twin', a mischievous smile on her lips. "When Light came back from the gym the other day, I'm pretty sure it wasn't magic that made water gush out of your pants~"

Serah's face was burning now. "S-So?!"

Lumina poked Serah's cheek. "C'mon, Lil Sis: be honest for once~!"

Serah groaned heavily, hands reaching her face to scream into them. Turning to Lightning, her face alight, "WHY ARE YOU SO SEXY?!"

Lightning... blinked. She thought she herself wasn't unattractive, but...

Lumina quirked the left side of her lip. "Light seems to be in denial...~"

Lightning, meanwhile, knew one thing: she was glad as all fuck for her l'Cie strength. one small mercy.

Everyone seemed to take to their relationship well; Sazh was just happy Lightning didn't look like she wanted to murder anyone; Hope looked a little sad, but he knew his crush wasn't exactly gonna wait for him; Snow, oddly, also seemed happy; also a little sad, but mostly because he can't call Lightning 'Sis' anymore.

Fang and Vanille, though? Those two were smug as fuck.

The two were dating; in the past, during the travels, the two were rather open about it, and Lightning even got dragged into it. Later on, Serah even got roped in. And then, in this world, the sisters were subjected to the primal Pulse ladies. Lightning and Serah still have phantom pains, even if they are nice/

The four were, and weren't, a thing. They all can admit they like each other, but four ways are, well... Lightning has enough with just Serah and Lumina.

Of course, then enter Yeul. Well, Yeuls.

They guard death itself, and one of them was left with Noel. Poor guy deserves it. But Serah was one they liked as well, it seems.

The first time it happened, Lightning was walking back home, Fang tagging along, and she saw the light on. Nothing bad, but it was late. Very late.

"Maybe she's having her rebel phase?" Fang joked, but even that brought back memories to Lightning.

"Serah hasn't had that in years, thankfully."

"Maybe she and Lumina are having a girl's night?" Fang offered next, as Lightning opened the door.

The soldier shrugged. "I'll see, soon enough. it had better be for a good reason."

"Heh, I had always wondered why--" the door closed, and Lightning listened.

There was Serah. Moaning. And another voice. Multiple. Ones she knew was familiar.

When she went upstairs, the door was flung open, and Lightning was greeted to a sight she was sure belonged on a painting.

A chaotic mess of bodies, with Serah in the middle upon her huge bed (a small debate, wherein Lightning gave in to it), and Yeul. And another. in fact, there was about ten of them, with an eleventh at Lightning's side, a veil on her face.

"Hello, Lightning." They greeted, a smile on their face. In the background, the Yeuls continued their tryst with Serah, Serah's sweet moans a paradox between wanting them to slow down and for them to go on.

"Yeul," Lightning greeted back plainly. there wasn't much to say, the past notwithstanding.

"Ah, you are still mad at us for what happened in the Old World." Veil Yeul noted. Her face was passive, and her eyes went between looking at Lightning and staring at Serah.

Lightning looked back, her lips in a small line.

This world was so, so strange.

And yet, with that strangeness, came the bliss.

Lightning was young when she started to cook. Even now, she does it from time to time, but only simple foods and breakfasts. She nor Serah minded; it was maybe a telling that Lightning liked to play by the rules.

While Serah didn't, and usally made feasts.

It was the lead-up to the festive time of year, with snow dancing around the world and falling to the ground. Lightning, however didn't see.

She got a cold. Something that made her laugh from the sheer irony of a cold bringing her down, and annoyance because it was really starting to get on her nerves.

Getting another clean tissue, she looked over at Serah, who was preparing what was by the far the single largest turkey she's ever laid her eyes upon. "Everything okay, Serah?"

Serah smiled warmly, her hands expertly multitasking. "Claire, don't worry, seriously! I can do this. You know that, right?"

"I do, don't worry; I just thought--" she stopped to sneeze, wiping her nose with the tissue. "--Lumina would be helping."

"Oh, Lumina is banned from the kitchen." Serah said as casually as the weather or her fighting Caius Ballad.

"...?" Lightning's face scrunched up further.

"You look cute like that, Claire; but you know how I had to replace the pan last week? Lumina tried to cook something, and it started to spark."

"I pled innocence, and that the pan was busted." Lumina quickly slid by, trying to sneak but the back of her hair was grabbed by Serah, who had an eyebrow raised.

"Lumina, it was brand new."

"Nuh uh."

Serah's expression become more flat, and started to look like Lightning's expression when she was on Coccon; murder, mainly.

At the end of the night, however, one thing was true to Lightning and everyone she knew and loved.

That this was, is, and will be, the best possible outcome. Lightning believes this with all her heart. And as the snow fell, Lightning found herself smiling, looking out of the window with Serah and Lumina at her sides.

"Beautiful." Lightning uttered, and she meant it with her whole heart.

i know people are tired of versus 13, but i've been thinking about if anything from the trailers will be made relevant to kingdom hearts 4 lately so i want to just dump my thoughts here. also a little bit about the 4 trailer because a certain line is bugging me and i’m going stir crazy waiting for news. like for one "there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so" was so important that it was in all of the trailers until the direction change and could possibly be mentioned by mom or yozora himself. if maybe "the true figure is still hidden in sleep" is still important with how much sleep still seems to be (sora and yozora sharing dreams but also riku’s dreams and sora’s apparent coma upon arriving in quadratum). strelitzia is the new white-robed figure & it’d be so cool to maybe see a variation of yozora vs strelitzia or even sora vs her:

i kind of feel like maybe the conversation between noct and stella might have been mostly scrapped

i think mainly the parts about a select people being able to continuously see a light in the sky after a near death experience from which they gain power from at the cost of another's life. but the stuff about etro opening the door for the dead and a light shining down could easily become “door to kingdom hearts” related or even related to the meteor shower that happened on destiny islands. maybe worked into the characters we know arriving in quadratum the way kairi arrived on destiny islands.

there’s also the whole “eyes that see the light of expiring souls” and “there are things i just ‘know,’ and i have no idea how.” which i guess could now be yozora being able to go to the final world in his dreams. 

plus an conversation that happens directly after noct talks to stella after their first trailer interaction which boils down to a disembodied voice asking who noct is and him responding that he was going to ask them the same thing. a line added in a later trailer is him saying “goodbye. whoever you are.” which i’m thinking could either be now yozora talking to whoever stole his appearance/whoever told him to “save sora” or completely reworked into his meeting with sora in the final world. i think it’d be super interesting if yozora had spoken to the person who stole his appearance before hand and maybe even become friends before it happened, but i’d honestly be okay if that isn’t the case. it being whoever told him to “save sora” could also lead it to him not knowing who stole his look and that maybe the same person took nameless star’s name.

i’m also wondering if “the heart resides within the soul, which in turn is guided by fate to its rightful place.” and “the choice is yours once more.” form the kh4 trailer is related to yozora saying “if you are who you say, and it was fate that brought us here, then... my path is clear.”

i also wonder if “guided by fate to its rightful place” is more related to yozora or sora, or perhaps everyone who isn’t supposed to be in quadratum and it’s clear that it’s up to sora to decide what to do. sorry if this is all something people have already talked about at length. i just figured i might as well use this tumblr dump my hyperfixation thoughts somewhere.

Terror. Madness. Grief. It flashed all through Regis head when they got safely back to Insomnia. Poor Noctis cried the whole time for Luna. Luna and Ravus, he left them in their enemies hands. He sweard to Sylva, that he will get them back. Niflheim would pay for their crimes ! After leaving exhausted Noctis in hands of his caretakers, Regis went alone to the Crystal chamber. To have a word with his ancestors who silently observed their lifes.

Regis ordered everyone to leave. No one understand why, yet who they were to questioned the king´s decision. After that the chamber became cold, it felt even hostile to be alone there with Crystal. Regis  without any pretensions summoned the power of the ring after more than eight years since he lost her, love of his life. He yearned for his Queen so much, for her soothing touch, her breathtaking smile and a raucous laugh. Those joyful memories still hurted when he though about her. You left us too soon, my love.

The kings and queens of Yore showed themselves before the current king. The time itself froze in the moment. A powerful magic was unleashed and Crystal reacted. 

“ Why did you called upon us, child?” said the Founder king strictly on his massive throne. Regis felt so insignificant in their presence. 

Drained Regis spoke to him as politely as he could. “"I wish to speak to my dear wife. She should be here among you as rightful ruler of Insomnia.” He stood there in anticipation, but no one showed up. The kings and queens were silent, until the Rogue queen took pity on him and said. “Young king, her soul is not here among us.”  Regis was shocked. “ Then where is soul of my beloved?”

“ What an insolence, to think a mere mortal could be in our ranks.” the Warrior king said offended, many of the attendees agreeing with him.

Regis narrowed his eyes at the old king. “ Let me remind you o mighty king, that you all were once mortals like myself. And you especifically should know, what it is to lose your loved one.”  One by one Regis looked around and exclaimed coldly. “ I ask you once again rulers of Yore, where is my wife?”  Yet again no answer was given to Regis.

“Perhaps, I can give you the answer, your highness.” a woman emerged out of nowhere before Regis. He fastly drew his sword in defense. The woman came closer unarmed, as Regis noticed. She looked very young perhaps in her early twenties. “ You can´t expect answer from those who Bahamut chained to do his biding, my lord.”The woman looked at him with regret.” A cursed line of Lucis Caelum, to never know rest. You were ripped from my lady´s hands, when she wanted to bestow blessing upon your bloodline, your highness.”  Regis was wary of her, yet something in him told him to listen to this child. “ If only I was stronger, then I could ripped Bahamut apart for his treachery.” the woman clenched her hand into a fist,” Your highness, you want answers that I can give you, my only condition is that you listen to what I have to say.”  Regis briefly thought about it, he didn´t see  harm in it.

“Let´s say young one, that I would accept this proposal. But first tell me, who are you and about what lady you spoke of to?”  curiosite got better of him.

The woman bowed deeply. “ Hope your highness will pardon my rudeness. I am here on behalf my lady, Etro. And as for me, I am her humble servant Andrea, but perhaps  you will be more familiar with a name  Leo.”  mischievous smile played on her full lips. Regis froze in place upon hearing that name. He remembered the ancient books, in his youth, that told about that name: Leo the beast of Etro´s gate and guardian of dead.

I've talked about Fang and Vanille a few times on here, and lately on twitter with someone, and...

It's just, straight forward, from a contextual standpoint.

Fang and Vanille are best friends, family—they are sisters beyond blood.

This starts even as early as the FFXIII World Preview where their relationship chart has them connected by "same surname/family name"—even before the game's release, the writers already implemented a connotation of familial connection between them.

We learn that this is written to reflect their ties to Oerba, where they were orphaned and grew up together in a tight knit community where the motto is "On Gran Pulse, we're all family". Which now we can understand the obvious construction here by the writers—utilizing this attribute of the Village surname to emphasize Fang and Vanille's familial ties and representation not through blood, but that of emotional connectivity. They're family.

So much, you even have this line of dialogue once you reach Oerba:

Hope: Which is your house? Vanille: What do you mean, which is ours? All of them. They're all ours. Fang: Yep. Everyone in the village. Snow: One big, happy family? Sazh: One heck of a lot of places to hang your hat.

Fang and Vanille are the ones to even extend this meaning onto the whole group. At the time of which the group has hit their stride of closeness and resolve, Fang is comfortable with them enough to refer to the group as her and Vanille's "new family". Fang even tries to sacrifice herself and risk Ragnarok for this new family:

Fang: I made another promise too, To protect my family. Sometimes… You've got choose!

There are MANY other paratexts that cover this as well because it's such a main component to their characters.

They're family.

Despite not being blood-related, they represent the concept very well, and extend this to the group. If you deny the connotation of "family" from Fang and Vanille, you don't know these characters. At all.

So, in what way are they family?

You can feel like you're family with many different relationships, obviously including romantic. People (somehow...) mistakenly believe that "family = platonic", despite, you know, the idea of a family starting very often comes from the institution of marriage. In regards "types of relationships" that are tangibly known around the world, family is considered the highest for obvious reasons, hence the movement to consider your close friends family, whether they additionally feel like a sibling or not, and to have your romantic partner feel like family, whether you get married or not.

It's a type of relationship just as much as it is a descriptor of a bond.

Anyway, despite not being related by blood, they're sisters to one another.

If you didn't interpret it yourself from the game, this is solidified within the FFXIII Ultimania Omega where the character relationship chart outright says they have a "sisterly relationship"—this is also featured in the updated Ultimania Archive, that includes even more characters. Fang's Profile in the Ultimania Archive even says they "grew up like sisters".

In accordance to this, which makes it less of an opinion and more of a fact, you have Fang's VA saying that to Fang, Vanille is a little sister within the Ultimania Omega interviews. You even have Benny Matsuyama, whose material is used for the LR novel and is credited in the game, writing about their sisterly relationship in Fang's Scenario story in the Ultimania.

Jun Eishima, hired directly by SE to make their novelizations, makes literal parallels twice between Lightning and Serah and Fang and Vanille, equating their sisterly bond through Fang and Lightning's treatment of their younger counterparts.

Take this information, and you have a leaning context to the meaning of other things that, true, for the sake of argument, don't mean sister outright.

Such as the two being marked as the "daughters of Etro" in FFXIII-2. For one time only, they are technically referred to as "the sisters" in ENG version by Noel when recounting the Legend of Cocoon to Serah at the beginning of the game. Or Serah herself furthering the parallels by saying Fang reminds her of Lightning when she first meets Fang in XIII-2.

There's the observable parallels (not direct) of both Lightning/Fang and Serah/Vanille having met individually in the 1st game, and another observable parallel in what Hope relays to Serah of what Sazh says about Lightning's "disappearance" in XIII-2 to Lightning speaking of Fang leaving Vanille alone. I mean damn, to top it off, Watanabe and Toriyama say THEMSELVES that Fang was turned into a female not only to have another female lead, but to avoid a "romantic mood" between her and Vanille (the logic of "female and female = inherent non-romance" is stupid, I know, but that was their mindset). This reinforces the fact they didn't write romanticism between the two characters—which, would explain all of the above existing.

etc. etc. etc.

It's established. It's consistent. And it's included with the usage of family because of the fact the relationship type is established. You don't need it to say sister every single time—that's just logic. Two blood-related sisters can talk about being family, and you're not going to have someone be like "BUT IN WHAT WAY?!"

Once it's established, it's there until something says otherwise.

This isn't some stupid localization decision—it's literally their character construction and implemented consistently throughout the entire franchise and all related material. And, there is NO deviation from this relationship type. No moment that Fang and Vanille stop being family, being sisters.

As far, wide, high, low that I've looked, there's not a single moment that shows these characters have deviated from this meaning. You have the typical emphasis of their bond (not type), which in typical fashion includes things like being irreplaceable to each other, being stronger than friendship (Fairy Tail, anyone?), and it being beyond even family. And this isn't even reserved for them—this happens frequently with Lightning and Serah, who they're paralleled with.

They are obviously a very good (and common) example of close friends and siblings—look beyond the typical, bland sibling relationships in media that 90% consist of just bickering with one another, and look for the pretty common, well established relationships that have a deep, contextual depth.

But also, we don't need to romanticize everything.

From all the real life examples, media examples, and just logical comprehension to understand the nature of actions or words (i.e. whether they are exclusively platonic, romantic, or contextually dependent)—there's plenty of material accessible to build the knowledge of how to comprehend these things, even if what YOU feel is different than what IS.

There isn't a single thing that Fang and Vanille have done or said that can't be understood within the bounds of everything I just mentioned above.

The next thing I'd want to do is go on a debunking spree of all the regurgitated, misinformed things I've seen for years, but this post is already long enough, and that honestly deserves it's own post.

Fang and Vanille, for so many years in fandom, have become just a byproduct of a widespread of misinformation, incomplete information, band-wagoning on both of those things without consulting the source, personal projection, and honestly, the over indulgence of romantic lenses people put on any two or more characters who care about each other.

Shipping doesn't even cause this, and absolutely extends to self-proclaimed non-shippers—this is people using romanticism as a means to just not attempt to see things more for what they are than just what you want it to be.

I promise you, you can absolutely say "well I see them as romantic, but I know they're not", and you won't break your brain. It's okay for you to ship something even if the evidence isn't romantic—I do this with Terra and Aqua from KH myself. I don't ship often, and they are one of my top picks, and yet I'll be the FIRST person to tell you there's no actual, provable romanticism implemented between them (yet...). I've had to discuss things with other shippers to NOT misconstrue things even if we're on the same "side".

It's just really annoying when people actively, unabashedly are false. And admittedly, about something that I actually do like. Despite being a hopeless romantic, I'm a sucker for good, platonic relationships, especially ones that have hogosha-like tonality, which I'd argue Fang and Vanille do—which again, would be ANOTHER parallel to Lightning and Serah.

could you explain to me the fundamental lore of ff agito

Depends on what you mean by lore. I can try to summarize it with all the most important stuff. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD...

Type-0 and Agito share the same basic premise: There's a war between the four nations of Orience, all of the kids from Akademeia fight to protect Rubrum, then, whether they win the war or not, the end of the world comes.

FF Agito takes place at the "beginning" of everything. You play as a cadet who you create. Shortly after you join Akademeia, the war begins when Milites tries to invade. You're placed into Class Twelfth with Jack and Tohno Mahoroha. In between your missions, you have free time to partake in "kizuna events" where you bond with the 12 members of Class Zero (who are in different classes in this timeline.) In the end, Rubrum actually loses in the war against Milites. The cadet representative, Miyu Kagirohi, suddenly seems to betray everyone and begins trying to end the world. You fight her together with one of the friends you formed a strong bond with, and although you're able to defeat her, it doesn't stop her from ending the world. So that the world won't meet its permanent end, your partner agrees to let Miyu set the world into the "Spiral of Time" so that you can become Agito, the prophesied savior of Orience, in a future world. You share a tearful goodbye with your partner, and then the world ends.

Tohno is the only person in the next world who remembers what happened in the first world, so she shares what she knows with the player. She stays suspicious of Miyu, expecting that she'll turn traitor again, but then Ace betrays everyone in the end instead. It turns out that the two were actually being possessed by the god known as Gala, the same god who possessed Cid in Type-0. Once possessed, they become a type of l'Cie called the "Judge" whose Focus is to determine whether Agito has been born in that world. Despite all of her best efforts, Tohno wasn't able to do anything to change the course of history. Seeing that no one has succeeded in becoming Agito yet, the Judge ends the world and everything starts over again.

The gaiden chapter follows another cycle. This time, Lean Hampelmann, who was an enemy from Milites before, comes to Akademeia as a peace ambassador. Even though things seem like they might be finally heading in a peaceful direction, history still repeats itself. When confronted by Lean, Arecia Al-Rashia, Akademeia's arch sorceress, reveals that she is the creator of the world. This repeating cycle of war was an experiment for her to open Etro's Gate and reach the Unseen Realm. She thought that by gathering cadets who possess certain innate qualities (known as "Powers" or "Loci"), she could unite them to create Agito. Then, she would have used Agito to open the gate separating the realms. She takes notice of the player and remarks that they seem to possess the Power of Bonds, which she says is necessary for Agito. Despite creating the world, the player is an anomaly to her - she doesn't know where or when they came from. According to Tabata, the player's power to "connect" with the other 12 through the kizuna events is what would have allowed them to become Agito. Arecia chooses to keep Lean and Tohno as her apprentices and has them wander forth into the future to record history while searching for Agito.

But... Then FF Agito was shutdown. 🙃 All we know is that the player (a specific player chosen from among everyone) was supposed to become Agito eventually. I don't know whether they would've opened the gate like Arecia wanted, but they were supposedly going to change the future somehow. I guess that if they ended the Spiral in another timeline, it would have "overwrote" the end of Type-0 like Tabata had implied. Or something like that.

We tried to bury ‘em under the shale, but that didn’t last near as long as we’d hoped before they came crawlin’ out, all scraped to hell and missing limbs, not that it stopped any of ‘em.

Someone with wandering hands, who didn’t listen to the message he was given when Valeria turned him down - whose history of those wandering hands was kept quiet because it would ruin his family’s good name - ends up dead, with ruby lipstick on his throat and poison bubbling up between his lips as he chokes to death on his own blood.

The thing that is not Prompto smiles as it cocks its head, rubbing the back of its neck, the way Prompto always did.

This is another part of Leon’s heats that he loves - it’s so easy to give him what he craves, without Leon fighting it every step of the way, because he doesn’t think he deserves it, or he shouldn’t have it, or whatever else is going on in that pretty head.

Nyx grins and gives chase, reaching out with fingers tingling with adrenaline and magic, kukri singing in his hands as they clash with Noctis’s blade, both of them dancing in and out of warps and across the training fields.

Cor might be using his authority as the Marshal for the order, but the look he levels at Leo is exactly the same one he used to give when Leo would try to sneak out and meet his friends on school nights.

Shot begins on Planet Namek.  NOBITU is being summoned.  NAV can be seen standing with CHLEA with a gun to their head.  He’s forcing them to make a wish.  NOBITU’s eyes glow red, and suddenly RHU is brought back to life in a flash of light.  She looks dazed at first, but she soon looks at her hands and squeezes them shut when she realizes that she’s alive.  She then looks at NAV.

RHU …  Is my empire still standing?

NAV shakes his head.  RHU growls before walking past him.

RHU Whatever.  It doesn’t matter…  I have something else on my mind, anyway.

Cut to a jungle planet elsewhere.  TURNIS, CALABRIS, and ETRO are all sitting around a fire while ETRO prepares a meal.  He hands out the...meat kebabs, I guess.

ETRO Careful, it’s hot.

TURNIS Thanks.

ETRO sits down, and they start eating.  Suddenly, CALABRIS looks to the side when he senses movement from the bushes.  TURNIS senses it soon as well, and they both stand up.

CALABRIS Looks like dinner will have to wait…  We’ve got company.

The two are on-guard, now.  Shot shows PATOTO’s boot stepping out of the brush, and then it shows PATOTO in full view.  KINPA peeks out from behind him.  Both are wearing new outfits, moreso KINPA than PATOTO.  TURNIS and CALABRIS calm down.

CALABRIS Well, whaddya know?  Look who it is.

PATOTO Didn’t expect to see you two out here…

CALABRIS Likewise.  We’re on vacation.  What’s your excuse?

KINPA We’ve been planet hopping for a while.  We just happened to be here exploring when we found you.

ETRO stands up, and KINPA seems a little put off by him.  PATOTO crosses his arms.

PATOTO Who’s the big guy?

TURNIS This is Etro.  He’s a friend of ours.

PATOTO Really?  Both of yours?  Huh.  I didn’t think Calabris here was capable of making friends.

CALABRIS looks exasperated.

CALABRIS Why does everyone keep saying I can’t make friends?

TURNIS smirks a little.  Shot changes to show all of them sitting together having a meal.

KINPA This is very good…  Where did you learn to cook like this?

ETRO It’s just something I picked up on my own.  I’ve always loved to cook.  I’m actually a chef on a planet not too far off from here.

PATOTO I’m assuming that’s where you guys live now?  What happened to Sadala?

CALABRIS We decided it sucked and ditched it.  We found a new planet to crash on.

PATOTO Sounds like Sadala really has gone down the drain since we left.

CALABRIS No kidding.

As if to interrupt them, a ship flies overhead and lands in a nearby clearing.

KINPA …  I don’t feel good about that ship for some reason.

PATOTO Me, neither.  Let’s check it out.

Shot changes to show them all walking out to see what’s up.  The ship’s door opens, and out steps RHU with NAV behind her.  PATOTO and KINPA look surprised.

KINPA Her again?

CALABRIS What?  You know her?

PATOTO She gave us some trouble a few years ago.  She’s supposed to be dead.

ETRO Maybe she was brought back to life like I was?

RHU steps off the ship and stands on the ground, looking very serious.

RHU …  You.

PATOTO huffs.

PATOTO Back for more, huh?  I take it you’re still pissy about being beaten back then?

RHU sneers.

RHU I guess you could say that.  But, I’m here to right that wrong today.

PATOTO Oh?  I hope you’re bringing more to the table than you did last time, then.  Otherwise this isn’t gonna end up well for you.

RHU Oh, you just wait and see.

She then proceeds to power up all the way to Super Saiyan 4, the top half of her bodysuit ripping off.

RHU I’ve learned your stupid little transformation, and I’ve made it better!  I’ve gotten much stronger than you were when you defeated me.  Now it’s over!

KINPA seems a little nervous, and he looks at PATOTO, who is just smirking.

PATOTO Is that it?

RHU What?

PATOTO You honestly don’t think that after all these years, that is the most powerful transformation I have, do you?

Without letting her answer, he powers up to Super Saiyan Blue.  She looks very unhappy about this.

PATOTO This is Super Saiyan Blue.  It’s what happens when a saiyan achieves the power of a god, and then goes beyond that. RHU is fuming.

RHU Whatever, whatever, whatever!!!  I don’t care what color you are now!!  I’m going to beat you to a pulp!!

She launches at him with a battle cry, and they start fighting.  PATOTO easily dodges her wild attacks, and eventually he starts laying into her with his fists.  She tries to fire a big energy blast at him, but he cancels it out with his own blast.  This pisses her off again, and she darts forward to try and attack, but he counters and knocks the wind out of her with a knee to the gut.  She collapses to her knees in front of him, and he stands triumphantly over her.

PATOTO You see?  You can’t win, even after all that effort.  It’s pointless.  You lose again.

RHU clenches her fists.

RHU No…  This can’t be happening…!  I can’t lose to you…! Not again!  I won’t lose to you again!!

She suddenly yells, and she seems to start to be gaining more and more power.  The ground starts cracking around her, and pebbles start floating.  You know, like in Dragon Ball Z.  Everyone looks worried all of a sudden.  PATOTO steps back cautiously.  Eventually, RHU’s energy turns dark (basically like Cumber’s) and she opens her eyes to reveal that they’ve turned white.  Two clawed hands made of energy emerge from the aura surrounding her.

TURNIS Her energy…  It feels much darker than before.

KINPA Patoto, be careful!

TURNIS turns to ETRO.

TURNIS ETRO, go back to the ship where it’s safe.

ETRO O-okay!

ETRO runs back into the trees and brush.  RHU starts her attack, sending out one of the claws to swipe at PATOTO.  When he dodges, she snarls, and balls of dark energy start shooting out around her.  TURNIS pulls up a shield to protect himself, CALABRIS, and KINPA.  PATOTO does his best to dodge them.  Unfortunately, NAV and the ship get taken out in this attack.  F.

PATOTO What the hell happened?

KINPA She seems to have gained a lot of power from somewhere!

PATOTO Obviously!

PATOTO tries shooting her with energy balls, but her claws knock them away easily.  She then launches up into the sky at him, grabbing him with the claws before he can escape.  She starts to crush him, and KINPA sees he’s in trouble.

KINPA He needs help!

KINPA powers up to SSJ4 and flies in.  He fires a big blast at her to distract her, and she turns around to face him.  She then tosses PATOTO at him, and they slam into each other, crashing to the ground.  PATOTO groans and rolls off of KINPA.

PATOTO You okay?

KINPA I’m fine--Look out!

PATOTO turns just in time to see RHU holding a huge ball of dark energy above her head.  They get up from the ground and charge up their own energy attacks before she throws the ball, and then they fire back at it.  The two energies collide, and they struggle for a moment.  Eventually, though, RHU’s attack breaks up, causing an explosion.

KINPA We broke it!

Suddenly, though, RHU bursts through the smoke and collides with the two of them, dragging them through the ground.  She flips over and lands on her feet a ways off from them, leaving them in the dirt.  They look pretty beaten.  TURNIS turns to CALABRIS.

TURNIS Cal, we need to help them.

CALABRIS Should we fuse like last time?

TURNIS There’s no time.  Let’s just power up and head in.

CALABRIS Right.

The two of them go SSJ4 as well before blasting off to help.  RHU sees them coming, but they use a team energy attack before she can react.  The smoke clears to reveal her still standing there, and now she’s even more pissed.  She sends out her claws to attack them, and they both dodge, but she then uses the claws to pick up huge chunks of rock from the ground and toss them at them.  CALABRIS dodges just barely, but TURNIS gets nailed because he wasn’t expecting it.  He gets knocked to the ground, a bit battered.

CALABRIS Turnis!!

CALABRIS growls and goes in for hand-to-hand combat.  He and RHU fight that way for a minute before RHU grabs him by the throat and slams him into the ground, choking him.  He quickly blasts her away with an energy ball, but she recovers and lands a few yards from him.  CALABRIS stands up, and soon the other three are joining him.

PATOTO Looks like we’ve gotta team up again.

CALABRIS Looks like it.

RHU growls at them, and they have a staredown for a moment.  Then, they all launch at each other.  All four attack her together, but with her claws and own body, she fends them off pretty well.  When they surround her, she curls up before releasing a huge AOE attack like Zamasu does in Xenoverse 2 so you know it’s bullshit powerful.  They all get knocked away and land on the ground, beaten pretty badly.  PATOTO tries to get up, but RHU is on him quickly, picking him up by his hair and causing him to cry out.  She grins wickedly and reels back a hand with one final energy ball, ready to end it.

RHU Looks like it’s curtain call for you.

PATOTO looks actually frightened for a moment.  However, suddenly, IVE and POLI teleport onto the scene.  Everyone looks at them.  IVE is smiling warmly, as well as POLI.  However, he soon notices what’s going on.

IVE Oh…  Have I come at a bad time?

RHU Who the hell are you supposed to be?

PATOTO Ive…?

IVE It’s nice to see you again, everyone.  Though...it looks like I’ve walked in on something.

RHU growls.

RHU You’re with them, huh?  Figures.  Give me a sec to take care of this trash and his orange friend, and then I’ll come take care of you.

IVE I can’t allow you to do that.

RHU Tch!  Who are you to stop me?  I’m stronger than the gods now!

IVE Hmm…  I don’t think so.

RHU Whatever.  I’ll just have to show ya what happens when ya interrupt.

She drops PATOTO and then bolts towards IVE, reeling back her fist.  He easily dodges and she misses, blinking.  She then swipes her energy claws around, and he flips over them as well.  She gets pissed again and comes at him with another punch and he just grabs her fist and holds her there.

RHU Who the hell even are you?!

IVE I’m the God of Destruction for your universe.

RHU You?  Yeah, right!  As if someone like you could be a god!  All you’ve done is dodge like a coward!

IVE You want to see my power, then?  Okay…

He suddenly appears behind her, and he gives her a little flick.  She goes flying away and crashes into a mountain.  After a moment, she climbs out of the crater she made, snarling before launching back at him again.  Before she can reach him, he holds out a hand and stops her movements, causing her to lock up and fall to the ground.  He holds her there.

IVE You may be stronger than a saiyan with god power, but you’re not stronger than a god themself.  You still have a long way to go before you get there.

RHU tries to get free, growling.

IVE From what I gather, you have beef with those two over there, right?  What for?

RHU They killed me and ruined my whole empire!  I was gonna rule over the whole galaxy!!

IVE frowns a little.

IVE It sounds like they were stopping you from doing something bad, then…

RHU So what?  I did what I had to to gain the power I needed!  Power is everything, and I woulda gotten everything I wanted if those two idiots hadn’ta stepped in and taken it from me!!

IVE You do have a lot of power, but it isn’t everything.  It won’t get you what you need.

RHU Oh my god, shut up.  I did not come back to life just to be preached to about good and evil by some skinny dude in a costume.

IVE Did all that power get you friends?  Love?  Or did it only get you subordinates and fear?

RHU Shut UP!!!

She tries to get up again, but she can’t.

IVE There’s a reason you’re so against those things, isn’t there?

RHU I’ll kill you if you keep talking.

IVE Something happened that made you stop trusting them, right?

RHU snarls and thrashes around while the others watch with interest.  Eventually she calms down to try and regain her stamina.

RHU …  It doesn’t matter.  What matters is that I learned I didn’t need those things to be satisfied.  All I needed was strength and power; those are the only two things I can depend on!

IVE I’m sorry for whatever you went through that made you feel that way.  You must have not had a good friend and you got hurt, right?

RHU doesn’t respond this time.  IVE thinks.

IVE Maybe you just need someone to show you what it’s like to have a good friend.

He finally holds out his hand.

IVE Okay then.  I’ll be your friend.

RHU looks up at him incredulously.

RHU …  For real?  You’re offerin’ to be my friend, even after seein’ what I did to those guys and what I tried to do to you, too?  You honestly wanna be friends with someone like me?

IVE smiles a little.

IVE I’ve met people like you before that were able to change for the better.  I think if they can, you can, too.

RHU …  Yer gonna make me throw up.

IVE keeps holding his hand out, and RHU just stares at it.  Eventually, though, she gives in with a sigh.  Her evil aura dies down, and she also powers down to base form before taking his hand.  He helps her up.  In the background, the others are helping each other up as well.  RHU looks disgruntled.

RHU …  God of Destruction, huh?  Yer bad at destroyin’ things.

IVE laughs a little.

IVE I’m new.

He turns to the others.

IVE Are you all okay?

CALABRIS I guess.  But, what are you gonna do about her?

IVE thinks before turning back to RHU.

IVE You’re from Sadala, right?  I can take you back there since your ship is totaled.

RHU scoffs.

RHU Yeah, that’s probably not a good idea, seein’ how I left it last time.

IVE Then I can take you to another planet you’ll be happy on.  It’s no problem.

RHU Really?  You literally just offered to be my...friend...and then yer gonna just drop me off on some random planet?

IVE Well, I do still have a job to do.  But I do plan on visiting you!  Plus, I can give you something that’ll let you contact me whenever you want, even just to talk.  POLI, can you give me the transceiver?

POLI hands him that little round button thing Whis gave to Bulma.  He hands it to her.

IVE You can press this button and it’ll patch you through to Poli.  Then she can tell me you’re calling.

RHU looks at it with a frown, but doesn’t say anything.  PATOTO walks up to them with his arms crossed.

PATOTO Well, I didn’t expect this to happen.

RHU Shut up.  I’m still pissed at you for killin’ me.

PATOTO   I mean, hey, I killed that greasy guy over there too and now look at us.  We’re allies...sort of.  I wouldn’t mind having you around to spar with now and then, you know.

RHU Just because this guy offered to be my friend doesn’t mean you can come over here an’ get the same thing.

PATOTO holds up his hands.

PATOTO I never said anything about being friends.  I was thinking more along the lines of rivals.

RHU squints, then scoffs and looks away.

RHU …  Whatever.  As if you’d ever be able to rival me at your level.

PATOTO smirks.

PATOTO I’ll take that as a challenge.

IVE places his hand on POLI’s back and holds out his other hand for RHU. She looks at it for a moment before taking it.  She then looks at PATOTO for a sec before scoffing and turning away, and the three of them teleport off somewhere.  TURNIS, CALABRIS, and KINPA walk up to PATOTO.

CALABRIS Well, that was...a lot.

KINPA I agree…  I was shocked to see Ive in Moja’s place.  I suppose he was serious about making him into the next God of Destruction.

ETRO calls out from off-screen.

ETRO (off-screen) Hey!

Shot shows ETRO peeking out from the bushes.

ETRO Is it over…?

CALABRIS Yeah!  We’re good.

He turns to PATOTO and KINPA.

CALABRIS You guys wanna hang with us for a little while and eat some more?  I wanna hear what you two have been up to all this time.

PATOTO Sounds fine to me.

CALABRIS smirks a little.  The shot zooms out to show them all walking towards ETRO.

Noctis only vaguely listens to Ignis going on and on about the safety measures kept in place for the current festivities. It's naught new, after all, but the prince supposes that as his right hand Ignis merely wants to reiterate the congeries of plans he and the Crownsguard have come up with. And perhaps to have the peace of mind that he at least tried to remind Noctis of all these plans. But, well, eventually he's had enough and he glances up from his phone.

"Calm down, Iggy," he huffs, just a hint of amusement resonating in his voice. It's commandeering enough to make Ignis pause regardless. "Everyone's getting screened at the entrance, even my dad and me. There are guards at every damn corner. Nothing's gonna happen." If his words disgruntle Ignis, Noctis pretends to not notice, and Ignis knows better than to keep pushing the issue. Rising to his feet, Noctis grabs his blazer.

"Let's head out and just enjoy ourselves, yeah?" It's Noctis' favorite festival, after all. It lasts a total of four days ━ three days spent fasting, praying and bringing various sacrifices to the sanctuaries of Etro scattered across the city. The royal family are outfitted appropriately: each day a different combination of royal black, gold and the skull motif that no one but them and chosen associates are allowed to carry. The first three outfits are always the most eccentric, masks covering their faces or parts of them, capes draped over their shoulders, extensive embroidery… Yet the fourth day, the day on which all of Insomnia celebrates loudly and proudly, indulging in alcohol and foods, the royal family's outfits are more subdued. Golden foil was delicately placed along the right half of Noctis' lips, trailing up his cheek to resemble a skull's teeth. His eyes were accentuated with the same tone of gold, the inner corner and upper lid carefully powdered with eye shadow. His stylist decided to but contour the rest of his features ━ to make his eyes and jawline pop out more, as they put it.

Before he can slip on his blazer, he hear Ignis bidding him to wait and the piece of clothing is pried from his hand gently. Noctis merely raises an eyebrow at the other man but allows him to carry on, watching as Ignis steps behind him to help him put on the blazer before he appears before him again, gingerly smoothing out any wrinkles in the fabric he may or may not be seeing. Noctis remains quiet throughout, eyeing Ignis closely. The way the other's brows draw together as he focuses on his task, his lips thin.

" ━ Happy?" Noctis allows a teasing smile to curve his lips when Ignis takes a small step back. "C'mon. Gladio's waiting in the car."

Went ahead and decided to watch the final battle in JP. Good lord... Look, I am no judge of Japanese voice-acting, but I feel so much of the jank is amended with just that. Lightning's voice-work is wonderful in both version's; Vel's, however... Dear lord does his English work feel generic and forced— WHICH honestly makes sense, considering the script-changes.

Yuki Kaji, who voices Hope, does an excellent job on this guy. Divinity, eagerness, and adolescence all executed brilliantly. You really get the sense that this is a being way over his head, who, in desiring to eventually walk among humanity in the new, flawless world he created, took on the body of a teenage boy— Volatile feelings and all.

I've spoken about this before, but Bhunivelze is just... Goodness, he is at once deeply well-meaning but also horrendously authoritarian. World's ending due to an overflow of Chaos, Bhunivelze seeks to create a new world for all the worthy, living souls, and destroy the Chaos— Issue is, Chaos is the collective souls of the dead: a Lifestream to use FFVII terms. You destroy that, you destroy all those souls awaiting rebirth, and destroy the memories of those deceased in their loved-ones— Vel considers this a positive, because as a demiurge with hitherto no prior experience with emotions(except endless paranoia after tossing his mother's body in the cosmic basement oop--), he considers grief a needless suffering to be washed away in his new world.

Having built her up to be the new goddess of death in the wake of Etro's death, Bhunivelze challenges Lightning to a last match after she rebels against him. Their dynamic, by the way, is extremely romantically-charged in the JP— Teenage boy feelings do that to you. After a longass, multi-phased fight, Lightning, inevitably, defeats him...

And he goes full:

This bitch, to the surprise of everyone in the arena including himself, starts sobbing his fucking eyes out. Realising he has lost control of the situation, and will have no part in the world he created, brother starts feeling it all— Sadness, grief, anger —The whole shebang.

My guy, in Peak Teenage Boy Angst, declares his intent to cast Lightning out. This, of course, proves ineffectual, and also One of the Most Video Game Divorces of All Time™! She wasn't even married to him! This is a trainwreck; I am obsessed with their dynamic; what is wrong with hiiiiiim????!?!

I bet £100 fucking bucks this guy was scribbling their initials together with hearts in some cheap pink spiral-bound notebook, kicking his non-existent legs back and forth as he imagines their wedding day. I bet he signed his diary entries with her surname. I can't. I'm fucking losing it. This is like Sephiroth if he was so much more desperate aND SEPHIROTH IS DESPERATE AS F U C K LMAOOO

Lightning is not having any of it. She signed up to get her sister back, not whatever the fuck this is. Did I mention he ripped the vestiges of Serah out of her heart, thereby emotionally crippling her? This fucking tool thought it'd be all fine once the plan went through. God. Dear God. He has no idea what he's toying with.

The fact that they toned all this down to Evil God Wants To Turn Humanity Into Mindless Slaves makes me so mad on so many levels, but I also wholly know why they did it.

The fact that Bhunivelze is an essentially all-powerful God who, to the best of his abilities, is genuinely sympathetic and loving, reiterating this time and time again, and yet not only despite but because of this fails in his role as a caretaker as he is unable, and unwilling to stoop down to humanity's level and engage with them on their own needs and terms, instead opting to follow his plan on crafting a utopia that would gut them of their memories and negative emotions struck a little too close for Western localisers.

Religion is a hot-button issue.

Far better to turn him into another cold, unrelatable Lucifer-like. Someone without love or care, who takes only to fuel his own arrogance.

I've talked before in another post similar to this written, god, what? A year ago? —About how this examination of a loving yet ultimately distant and detached god struck a chord with me. The romantic character especially— Within my old church, the relationship between God and the Church, you and He was always illustrated as akin to a groom and his bride.

I completely understand Lightning's drive to throw off that.

No love is worth being hollowed out. Even with the promise of being filled again.

Ok so my portrayal of Lumina is quite Canon divergent. Like,personality wise she is still the same but there is so much more weight behind her actions.

In this Ted talk I will-

No but seriously.

In my portrayal I have it set that Lumina has kinda...always existed. She was an imaginary friend of sorts. The culmination of Young Serah's loneliness after the death of her parents and Lightning accepting responsibility. Lightning was busy, providing for herself and Serah so she was a bit lonely. And Lumina was somewhat given form but not name or really function. Just the powerful ideal of a young seeress who has yet to truly awaken to her power. Like ...a piece of Chaos before Chaos was truly born.

Then Serah met Snow and the rest of the NORA gang. She didn't need Lumina anymore so she was casted aside. Forgotten. Which is far- everyone forgets those past imaginary friends. But Lumina was a piece of a seeress. She never TRULY faded away especially when Lightning and Serah's relationship strained. She was made of Serah's love for Lightning anyway. Like how the Chaos is an amalgamation of all the Yuels and their conflicting feelings for Caius.

Now, XIII-2 is where shit gets wonky cause Lumina was probably severely scattered during that time. I mean Serah is doing time travel, Lightning is being groomed, I mean kidnapped, I mean protecting Etro. But they are both doing all of this for each other- their love for one another keeps Lumina around no matter how scattered. But when Serah dies and Lightning sleeps- that's when Lumina is truly born into the form we know now.

Both sisters gone- their love for one another literally transcending their metaphysical ends due to Serah being a Seeress and Lightning now being prepped to replace Etro. Lumina is the physical manifestation of Lightning and Serah's constant back and forth. Their straining relationship but the sisterly love they hold regardless of it.

Which, it's what makes Lumina the perfect container to protect Serah's soul and to push Lightning into hopefully making the right choice in LR. Of course, this comes with a lot of caveats. And Lumina literally has issues of her existence cause she technically never TRULY existed until 500 years ago but she also HAS existed and she is literally only made up of two sisters instead of her own person. And she literally isn't strong enough to stop Bhunivelze she just has to hope that Lightning in all her 'I'll do it myself' Glory realizes SHE CAN'T do it herself. All the whole Knowing if she does this that she'll vanish in the end and she'll never see all of her hard work amount to something.

Look, I just love Lumina and I wish the game did more with her cause she truly is fascinating. But yeah....that's my Lumina portrayal

And that he, as the former Noctis Lucis Caelum, was not much better, raised in a household too strict and lax for the eventual burden he would have to carry. Coming to Valisthea as a child had been traumatic enough, but to find this world also laboring under the curse of fucking crystals would be much easier to deal with if he didn’t have to also deal with two very handsy, possessive men that felt far too much like home for his comfort. WIP Wednesday! (or more of Thursday)

Hi everyone! (I am kinda back? Well, my medications are kicking right sooooo) Anyway thank you @blossom-adventures for tagging me, it was very kind of her and i truly appreciate it🌺🌺 Okay, this wip ...or part of it was prepared for NyxWeek, but .... well, thing turned out differently with me. Nevermind :/

I have also commissioned something special for all of you (and obviously for me too XD) And it´s also little treat for my birthday which would be actually soon 😅😅 (ehmmm, I kinda forgot about it 😅😅)

 The city was an iron jungle, quite different from their home back in Galahd. It was Bahamut´s claimed city, his “blessed” line of Lucis Caelum who ruled it. More likely cursed line with betrayal and misfortune, when the dragon snatched them off hands of lady Etro. But that happened  such long time ago, that only sparse knew about the real story of royal family.

I won´t drink it even if I was on my dead bed and this piss was supposed to heal me.” “Oh fuck off, Gutsco!”  both men started heatedly to argue about the drinks. Their other companios either laughed or rolled their eyes at their antics too used to the bickering.

(Yet Another) Fanfic Writer Ask Game!

3. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

Crowe's backstory. There are few fics for her on AO3 that focus solely on her. I have some ideas for it that I have always wanted to play around with. I want to do more writing for her and try to write more for canon characters. But I got caught up in a huge revision project for the rest of the year.

9. What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?

I will always stand by the military ball scene in Etro's Blessing: Andromeda. I have talked about it way too much and approached it from different angles. I suppose in the grand scheme of things, it's not as significant as I claim it is. I will post the revised chapters soon; it was originally one whole chapter, but I split it into two for easier reading. To me, it is one giant scene: Andromeda meets the Nox Fleurets.

First, there's Andromeda floundering through Imperial high society. Then she learns who Ravus really is, because somehow she didn't know about him before and he quickly becomes her most hated enemy. But what was supposed to be most important in that scene was her first encounter with Luna, because Andromeda is meant to be her foil. I had to revise that a bit, and I don't think it comes across as significant as I wanted it to be.

It concludes with Andromeda being mouthy and Ravus nearly backhands her. It's a very tense and revealing moment. It shows Ravus's inner struggle to be the Deputy High Commander of the Imperial Army without becoming a ruthless monster (there's a scene in the novel where Caligo backhands Luna across the room or something; it was probably one of the reasons Ravus joined the Imperial Army). Andromeda finally speaks some of her darker, destructive thoughts that she has had since arriving in Gralea (they first started elsewhere in Niflheim, but became more poignant in Gralea). In that moment, the good girl from Lucis doesn't care who she hurts. I guess the big takeaway from this is that Gralea turns people into monsters, metaphorically and literally.

All the while, Ardyn, who orchestrated this whole thing, is gleefully drinking it all in. He loves military balls for their drama. It's not romantic in any way and by the end, everyone is very angry. I relate to Ardyn a lot for this scene.

A more recent scene that I'm proud of is when Etro helps Andromeda escape captivity in the First Magitek Production Facility (they should have given it a shorter name; I hate typing it every time). I rewrote the original escape so that Etro plays a larger part. Before, Etro asked a lot of Andromeda, but did the bare minimum in return. So she does more, but it's still not enough for Andromeda, who pitches a hysterical fit that Etro won't destroy the whole base. It's a very jarring moment for the goddess: she starts to realize that her special Blessed One might have become too corrupt during her imprisonment, that she might be becoming a monster after all. It prompts Etro to Bless others in the sequel, in case Andromeda doesn't correct her ways. As is Etro's way of handling her mistakes.

What's also so significant with that scene is that Andromeda might be a foil for another character. In their first encounter, Ardyn tells her that they are kindred spirits. Perhaps they do have more in common than at first glance (although she will most definitely die like anyone else if filled with Scourge).

Andromeda does go on to fight for a good cause, but makes morally questionable decisions while doing it.

My favorite scenes seem to involve her being put down.

Fashion Seasons

Every year, there are four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn/Fall, and Winter. Because the seasons intertwine effortlessly, the fashion industry produces two collections yearly.

The Spring/Summer collections come first from September to November, and then we get Fall/Winter collections from February to April.

This is a simple case of planning ahead so that the public knows what designers foresee on the streets for the relevant season. An excellent shopping tip is to buy winter clothes in the summer and vice-versa. You end up with massive savings because stocks must go.

New York Fashion Week (NYFW)

New York fashion week comes first. The biggest shows in New York are usually Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Laquan Smith, Michael Kors and Tory Burch, to name a few.

London Fashion Week (LFW)

Next up is London fashion week. There are few shows in London, but huge brands tend to book international models quickly. Centre stage shows include Burberry, Erdem, Emilia Wickstead, Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood.

Vivienne Westwood's granddaughter walks in her fashion show posthumously.

Milan Fashion Week (MFW)

Now comes Milan fashion week. By this time, we are well and truly into the madness, and models are tired. The shows that attract the most attention include D&G, Dsquared2, Etro, Fendi, Prada and Philipp Plein.

Paris Fashion Week (PFW)

Finally, we end with Paris fashion week. Everyone is tired by this point and ready to go home. But how can you when shows like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Acne Studios, Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Hermes, Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, Valentino & Balmain are on?

Not to mention that a designer can move their show to a different destination. For example, in 2023, Versace showed their FW23 collection in Los Angeles instead of Milan.

Ok, ok, hear me out, just hear me out. Mv Kinpa, mv Patoto and Calabris are Santa Claus believers. Vv Kinpa wants to believe but science won't let him. Turnis knows the truth but doesn't have the heart to tell the others. Vv Patoto probably wonders what a Santa Claus is. Etro does research so he knows what to cook for Christmas, makes a tree, and buys ghifts in secret for everyone.
