The law requires charging 0.45 euros per kilo of plastic packaging
Promote recycling and reuse of plastics. That is the objective of the law on waste and contaminated soil for the circular economy that came into force in January in Spain.[1] Through this regulation, a new tax is applied to single-use plastic containers. This tax affects all containers or packaging that cannot be reused for their original purpose and whose origin is not recycled plastic.
The law, that promotes the recycling and reuse of plastics, will be applied in Europe in the coming years in order to meet the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Through this regulation, all non-recyclable plastic containers that are manufactured, imported or acquired will have to be subject to this rate regardless of whether they are empty containers or if they contain a product inside.
According to the law, the tax charged is 0.45 euros per kilo, so all packaging made of plastic that has not been recycled will have to be weighed and a fee must be paid.
Depending on the type of business you have, the self-employed person must take the tax into account, since it could affect them when importing or exporting a product that contains non-recycled plastic packaging in Spain.
Import and export
If products are exported, for example, the weight in kilos of all non-recycled and single-use plastic contained in the shipments must be indicated. While if products are imported for the business, the supplier of the same must provide with the mentioned information so that the professional can later declare it and pay the new tax.
In addition to that, if in a month products with less than 5 kilos of non-recycled plastics are imported or purchased, the professional will not have to pay this tax.
In order to declare the tax, it will be necessary, Txerpa[2] indicates, to register in a territorial Registry so that they can be provided with a plastic identification code number.[3]
Taxpayers who are manufacturers or intra-community purchasers will have to submit a monthly or quarterly self-assessment with form 592 depending on the VAT settlement period. Imports will be settled by customs declaration, which must state the weight of the non-recycled plastic of the product that has been imported.
In the case of manufacturers, they will have to keep an accounting of the products obtained, while buyers must keep a stock book.

Taiwan opens up its borders to foreign business travelers (Effective March 7, 2022)
Visitor visa for Business purposes (Taiwan)
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that starting on March 7, 2022, Taiwan will allow foreign business travelers to enter the country for the following business activities:
a)Business visits
b) Investment
c) Fulfillment of contractual obligations
d) Employment
Foreign business travelers must prepare related documentation before applying for a special entry permit (visa) at a R.O.C. overseas diplomatic mission. Individuals who previously had special entry permits (visas) for business purposes with expiry dates between May 19 and August 18, 2021, may apply, free of charge, for a new visa of the same purpose and type at the R.O.C. overseas diplomatic mission that issued the original by providing related documentation.Foreign business travelers holding a valid APEC Business Travel Card may enter Taiwan after the border control authority reviews proof or documentation of business activities in Taiwan.
How to apply for Taiwan’s visitor visa for business purposes (with example & step-by-step process)
Documents required to apply for visitor visa for business purposes :
1) Completed and signed application form which you can access through this website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw/ Print it out.
2) The original and photocopy of your passport (valid for more than 6 months and must have blank pages).
3) Two (2) 2-inch color photos (with white background) taken within 6 months.
4) Evidence of business activities:
Company's employed & job assigned letter
Invitation Letter
Ongoing letters, trading records (e.g. LC, remittance receipt...etc.)
5) Details of the contact person in Taiwan ( name, address, telephone number...etc.)
6) Other additional documents may be required during the process such as a ticket, electronic ticket, or proof of a travel agency.
Required documents from the guarantor of visa applicants from the countries wishing to do business in Taiwan
Original “Letter of Guarantee for Visa Application to the Republic of China”. It can be found on the following website: https://www.boca.gov.tw/lp-210-1.html. The letter of guarantee would require an official stamp from the company of the guarantor.
If the guarantor is not the owner/representative of the company, then a letter of authorization is required for the person submitting the “letter of guarantee”.
Letter of explanation of how the guarantee and the guarantor met and any proof of communication as well as the guarantee’s itinerary while in Taiwan.
A copy of the guarantee's passport.
Proof of commercial business exchange for example invoices, import/export documents, shipping orders…etc.
Business registration of the company in Taiwan, or the amendment of business registration documents from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Notice of Audit is to be submitted along with the letter of guarantee.
Other relevant documents may be required during processing for example proof of employment from the guarantee.
Cable Fee: NT$50- one page per telegraph limit. ( Each extra page or extra attached file will be charged with a cable fee.)

When you have gathered all the documents, take them to any one of them (preferably the closest) Republic of China (Taiwan) embassies in your country and they will apply for the business visa on your behalf.
