Antoine Samuel Predock, FAIA (June 24, 1936 – March 2, 2024)

Mr Predock was an American architect based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the principal of Antoine Predock Architect PC, the studio he founded in 1967.

Mr Predock first gained national attention with the La Luz community in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The first national design competition he won was held by the Nelson Fine Arts Center at Arizona State University.

Mr Predock's work includes the Turtle Creek House, built in 1993 for bird enthusiasts along a prehistoric trail in Texas, the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College, and a new ballpark for the San Diego Padres, the Petco Park. He also worked on international sites such as the National Palace Museum Southern Branch in Southern Taiwan and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Hey I was previously an anti but I've noticed a lot of antis are really weird and seek out proshippers to harass them and even call them irl pedos/abusers I don't think proshippers are abusers and I even made a separate account to understand their point of view on the matter but I must know why exactly do some proshipers like messed up things sometimes? I've seen some that like creepy dynamics and I don't understand how they can consume it and say it has no effect on them in reality. Does fiction really not effect reality? Fiction has effected me a lot, I am very attached to certain characters and they've shaped who i am, where is the line drawn? I genuinely want to learn I honestly don't understand. I've seen some of them say that they use it to cope but is it a good way to cope? Tho of course I can't judge them if it isn't that is there business to figure out but I'd just like to understand. I thought antis were just people who weren't into certain media and that's fine but a lot of them police what people can like so I think I'm gonna leave.

All I'm gonna add is that it's different for each person; what affects one may not affect another. What hurts one may help another, and vice verse. There is no single answer to this question

However, the "fiction doesn't affect reality" argument is a strawman created by antis, and is not a belief proshippers hold. The REAL phrase is "fiction isn't reality" which is objectively true

hi, I only recently knew about proshipping etc. via twitter and I'm not here often, so I had to ask, what does "FAIA" stand for? I think google redirected me to one of your posts saying you "no longer support the label due to the harassment that follows it" when I was trying to find out what it means, but I'm still curious for an answer!

Tbh, the label hasn't really existed anymore since...early 2021? Nobody really uses it anymore. To be perfectly honest, I haven't even thought about it in a long time, so I don't remember the whole abbreviation (I know the I stands for intersectionality, but I don't remember the rest. Sorry)
