Wait. have I. shared the story of how I got into this show?

I first found out abt it through like. a video showcasing different indie webseries, and I was like ‘huh. that looks interesting’. Then later I saw the hype of ep 6 - mostly through various memes derived from the ‘arm chopping is not a love language!’ Nimona quote.

What finally convinced me to actually watch the show, though, was: at the time, my #1 hyperfix was the ENA webseries, and my #1 blorbo from that was the Shepherd. So out of curiosity, I was looking up other roles her VA had done - and that’s when I first learned of the existence of Doll. Third time (and learning there was a super cool character that shared a VA w/ one of my Favorite Characters Evar) turned out to be the charm, and I finally dove into the series (at first with the mindset of ‘okay, this is pretty damn cool. now which ep has that badass Russian character’ dcnjjejcnjedjn).

She may not have ended up as my favorite character (that’d be the wholesome murder guy), but I’ll never forget that it was Doll who first drew me into this funky lil show.

One of my favorite videos evar :) liza and alan, a gay icon and gay man, performing at a gay bar, for gay people, a song from a gay musical and a gay movie :) and theyre doing this goofy act until they sing together at the end :) and liza sounds beautifullll and her laugh is beautiful :) and the crowd audibly sings along :) and someone near the camera says, “maybe this time, it’s my favorite song by them” like any fan in the world would. AND i just laughed so hard at the opening joke. i love this video

For the new followers and lurkers, I feel the need for both of our sakes, to let you know what to expect on my blog before we all commit to each other and some basic ground rules here on my humble tumblr land piece and if you as well need to block me:

1: You follow or reblog from any self titled “Anti-MXTX” bloggers with that specified carrd description, unfollow me and don’t reblog my posts please. 💜 This also involves anything do with “MXTX critical” as well.

2: Jin Guangyao stans don’t try me, I am not nice about him so just block me if you don’t enjoy that as well as me very much despising Xiyao as a ship. I generally tag anything to do with him as, I hate jin guangyao and jin guangyao stans block me. (I still hate Jin Guangyao and no this isn't gonna change)

3: I adore my submissively breedable Jiang Cheng as a joke because he is damn trash, if you portray him as best UwU jiujiu and bro evar blocking me is best for your benefit. To put bluntly, if you think Wei Wuxian was more in the wrong toward him through the plot, my meta here are not going to be for you as my sympathy for this character is low. I don't tag anything as anti jiang cheng, as I do like him as one of my favorite characters to analyze, and what I have here is simply reiterating what we are given from text and the author. No I am not an anti so if you're also looking for pure Jiang Cheng hate, that's going to disappoint.

4: I am rather critical of the portrayals of fandom tropes for MDZS (This further extends to SVSSS now given it's featured more now here too) that is horribly prevalent on Twitter and this runs the gamut of all sides. I am more than happy to expand on my thoughts on anything for this as well for any questions sent my way about what I think of "so and so".

5: I am a Wei Wuxian and Lan Xichen stan first and foremost and will make that apparent through my meta as I get rather annoyed when the points of these two are missed. Now I need to stipulate that this includes Luo Binghe, don't bother me with devil advocate arguments regarding him.

6: Don't come to my inbox because I ranted or made fun of a bad OOC fandom headcanon and it personally upset you, your bad takes upset me. Equivalent Exchange, as Edward Elric said.

Happy Father's Day Annoing Old Man! 🧔🏼‍♂️

I guess I'll have to get used to celebrating anything without you and your nonsense remarks.. Oh how I miss you Popsi. I think about you all day.

I arrived home after watching "How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies." Guess what popsi? I didn't cry! Not that I was trying to stop myself from crying.. it was a very good movie. I was teary eyes but zero tears. I'm stone cold, am I?

Then when I arrived home, I remembered it's still Father's Day. And you're no longer here.. thinking of you makes me cry... easily.

I took a screenshot of the last video you took yourself and how you enjoyed using anything for anything you can think of. You hated taking photos of yourself what more videos. And yet, you took this video coz you found it worth sharing with you nonsense kids.

I was at Megamall earlier, Popsi, coz that's where we booked the movie. That mall reminds me of you as we have so much shared memories there since the first time you brought me and sasa in Manila for summer vacation. I passed by Pizza Hut and approached the stall where we buy Buy1Take1 pizza slices before. It was like our default snack when we go to Megamall. Unfortunately, they ran out of pizzas tonight.

For always making me laugh (even if i'm the only one laughing and the rest of the siblings find you annoying 😂, yeah, we jive like that)...

For knowing the kind of help i needed when i'm in pain (no, you don't give me sermons. you just sit beside me in silence for a long time, i'd lean on your shoulder or i hug you. then after we sit in silence, you say few words like Yoda and i'd usually feel better after)...

For the super extra support you give when I'm trying to learn something new... writing, geography, chess, mountain climbing, wall climbing and i don't remember what else. Doesn't matter what they are, once you know I'm into something, you'd share with me A BUNCH OF RESOURCES (books, articles, movies/documentaries, gears and etc) for me to progress in that area. When I have a kid or kids in the future, I want to be as supportive the way you supported me. You made me feel like I can do anything. If I shared that i failed on something, you never made me feel like a failure. You just made me feel that sure I failed so just try again.

You maybe be the most stubborn person in the world but you are my favorite man ever.

I won't be where I am because of you.

Once you said there are many fishes in the sea. I see what you mean now.. but hey popsi, having you as a father made things more difficult in choosing a fish. Fish has to be as smart as you, makes me laugh like you, loves to learn like you, listens like you, neat like you (well, doesnt have to be a germaphobic like you lol).. Typing these made me realize now why the two fishes I dated after you left me just weren't good enough. Do you want me to be forever single Popsi?! Oh well, I'll let the Universe take its course.

For now, continue to watch over me as I progress in life! I think I was having some midlife crisis and you prolly know what to do or say to me. I would run to you if you're still here. I guess, this is you telling me it's up to me to figure things out on my own now.

Cainpesh mode tierlist official...as of like 10 seconds ago

Pesh mode rambling under tge readmore its long. If it werent long it would just be visible in the post itself but myeh i actually care about post length rn also take this w like 5 teaspoons of salt im not a longtime depeche mode veteran fan or anything i just like their music a lot

Ummmmmoh these are all in order btw not like randomized in the groups. I was real purposeful w this one. for starters im a little biased towards ultra cus it was the first album i listened thru all the way cus i found the cd at goodwill in like. ? August ? September maybe and i was like well why not ive been meaning to listen to pesh mode. That and its just a really good album. It took me a couple listens to really get Into it but its definitely my #1 fave now..call that my..ultra fave..lawl..

Funnily enough i didkt really like playing the angel much when i was first getting into dapeachmode (its funny bc that was my first lile formal introduction to them outside of just cant get enoof by joel vinesauce. Everyone say thank you syd and his oc shangri-la) cus i thiught it was too harsh..? Or something? And i really only like 7 (lol) or so of the songs but the ones i do like are Really Fucking Good imo and its admittedly a very powerful album and i like that.

Music for the masses has a lot of aongs i like too though like a LOT camera pans over to my 100+ scrobvles of never let me down again atp..and my 3 hoarded usernames..and that ine bunny piece..etceteta. And rush but i cant listen to it w/o thinking of this one specific thing and it makes me cringe so hard every time i wanna curl up into a ditch and dissolve into the groundddddffd it sucks cus rush is such a good song

Speak&spell is okay i feel like i was a little harsh w the tier title there especially cus that was their first album and its really not all that bad.. i think i mightve listened to it before anything else too but i might be mixing that up w the one cure album w the fridge picture or whatever it was. It was like. Teal fridge. I think my favorites are probably whats your name & i sometimes wish i was dead but thats pretty basic oooops.. its ok. Also speak&spell has just cant get enough on it which is just a classic even if itsnnot one of my favorites i still like it. And the midi version too.

Finally i dont even know if i listened to spirit fully i know i have scum in my liked songs cus it came on shuffle once probably..and its an alex song to me i usually put character songs i cant fit in playlists in my liked songs..id have to give it a/another listen I thibk i just skipped it cus i was worn out from listening to every other album in a row by that point. I think i listened to wheres the revolution too and didnt really like it but idk.

would anyone like to join me in drawing up a plan to step away from solely focusing on survival and instead strive for a life to look forward to within that while having an ultimate end goal of just at least making an effort to fall back in love with the earth and all it harbors. i miss eating good food that isnt just freezer meals or cobbled from around the house and i miss eating good food that *i* cooked, desserts and bread included; i miss watching go rush every week when it comes out and going full autism about with tenko and infodumping to sol; i miss writing fic and i miss writing my favorite brand of wonderfully wordy bullshit that toes the line between the former and personal, horribly purplish prose and having a blast just putting Something on paper; i miss mindlessly pokin and hookin away at the unimportant little crochet test id been workin on while learning the basics (still am :/ LOL) with my podcast/s playing in the bg and sol telling me about his day and all that he has to work on in my headphones while on call; i miss sitting around in the crepe shop for literal hours either writing or crocheting or reading or watching videos or What Evar; i miss just reading books! just reading books and learning something from each and every one even if its just one single new word. just at least one new something day after day after day until the rest of my life moseys on by and ive learned to love that methodical madness again.

the riley hair doesn’t have a clip so I am going to assume you mean the Peyton hair since it was released in the same month. It wouldn’t really be possible to do Peyton without the clip since it has a part of the hair going up into the clip. Without it there would be a hole and if the hole was filled in it would still look weird since the hair would be going up into nothing. I’m sorry <3

My first impressions of TXT’s First Album EVAR!

And yes I spelt ever intentionally wrong.

Let’s begin!

I think my favorite song is Crown. It just makes me so happy when I hear it and it has lots of energy and fun in it. It’s refreshing to hear, I just want to smile when I listen to it. I guess this song is also sentimental because it is TXT’s first music video so everytime i listen to it, i think of them, and it makes me happy. Now I want to learn the dance moves.

I think my next favorite would be Nap of a Star. The vocals are just so strong, and the song itself is just so beautiful. I feel calm when I listen to it.

My third favorite is Our Summer. It gives me Red Velvet’s Red Flavor vibes, lyrics wise at least, mixed with Euphoria vibes. But it’s an upbeat song, and when I listen to it, I picture fun love at the ocean (it gives me GCF in Saipan vibes).

The rest of the album:

Cat and Dog. The song is lit. I want to bust moves when I hear this. The lyrics are too funny tho. “I want to be your dog”. I mean, I get it’s about wanting to be so close to someone and not leaving their side, but it’s just funny because I keep picturing TXT as dogs and cats. It’s a good song tho!

Blue Orangeade: Another song I want do dance and bop my head too. It’s a playful song in my opinion but kind of flirty. It’s fun. This song has my favorite choreography.

My opinions on my favorite songs may change, since I tend to like something more, then more I listen to it. So who knows, but this is what I like so far. These are all my opinions, no need to be offended or taken seriously. We can agree to disagree.

Anyways, I love the album: The Dream Chapter: Star. Thank you to all the song writers for such great songs and thank you TXT for sharing your talent with the world. It’s a fantastic debut album and I wish you the best moving forward. ❤️💜💖💕You have my full support 🤗

4: I am rather critical of the portrayals of fandom tropes for MDZS that is horribly prevalent on Twitter and this runs the gamut of all sides. I am more than happy to expand on my thoughts on anything for this as well for any questions sent my way about what I think of "so and so".

5: I am a Wei Wuxian and Lan Xichen stan first and foremost and will make that apparent through my meta as I get rather annoyed when the points of these two are missed.

So, yeah! I bought my daughter this bike a few weeks ago. Her smaller bike was getting too small and too hard to learn without training wheels. I took her to my favorite Local Bike Shop and we picked out a nice one. And the folks at the shop echoed a piece of advice I’d heard elsewhere - take off the pedals and get her used to balancing first. We spent a bit here, a bit there doing that, but never had a lot of time due to our busy schedule and then we got hit with a week of rain.

This morning she had a big block of time and practiced scooting and balancing with my wife, and they reported that she might be ready for her pedals.

THEN we went to family taekwondo. Big workout. He had us run ALL the way around the dojang 10 times. Which to be honest isn’t that super long, but by the end Jeff (a mid 50s former karateka but now taekwondo green belt who has run triathlons), my wife, and I were the only ones who had run the whole way. We even raced/sprinted at the end - mostly unintentionally* - because we’re both pretty used to running.

A billion pushups. A billion crunches. More jumping jack than you could shake a stick at. And the longest plank EVAR. Then self defense work.

He paired me up with my wife - a 2nd degree black belt who’s known for being ... aggressive isn’t quite the right word, maybe assertive? with her self defense. So I assumed I’d meet resistance and need to use more force.

Guess who has two thumbs and assumed wrong?

I also ended up stubbing/jamming my big toe (on my RIGHT foot) providing too much resistance for her self defense forms. Serves me right.

Lunch with the kids, then my wife took them to get school supplies while I enjoyed a little downtime. After my lunch digested ‘enough’ I decided to head out for a run. I was aiming for 6 but made sure to give myself enough “outs” to either turn back early or whatever. And coached myself to really assess my condition at various points to decide if I’d turn back or not.

And promptly blew right past all those check points. I almost extended the turnaround to 3.11 miles for a 10k, but thought I shouldn’t push it.

And I’m so happy - I got to run the entirety of the new trail extension. They did a nice job although we (my collective neighborhood**) found that portions of it tend to flood during heavy rain (as some neighbors “just knew”), but fortunately the river it runs along was not flooding today.

Quick shower after I got home, and my wife came back with my kids. My daughter was anxious to show me her progress on her pedal-less bike, and I was so impressed I put the pedals on right away and worked with her on pedaling. I think my video speaks for itself :)

She hasn’t yet got the hang of starting, so every time she gets settled on her bike and ready to go she’s like “Hold, please!” expecting me to grab her and steady her as she gets going, then “Go!” when she’s ready for me to let go. And it’s ESPECIALLY cute to hear her say that since she’s lost three, yes THREE teeth to the tooth fairy in the last few weeks.

I should point out that this little trooper with NO TEARS and NO FEAR DUG THESE TEETH OUT OF HER HEAD ALL BY HERSELF!

* Master Lee urged us to go fast, so I turned on the heat and happened to pass my wife on lap 9. As we were rounding the last turn on lap 10 I could tell she was trying to pass me back. I just couldn’t let that happen :)
