Setelah hampir dua taun kerja di kantor ini, menurutku industri FMCG khususnya beauty & personal care itu emang menarik banget deh. Bener-bener dinamis, banyak pemain-pemain baru bermunculan, entah itu local indie brands ataupun brand luar yang mulai masuk Indo, dan emang harus terus-menerus keep up dengan tren supaya tetep relevan. 
Terus ya sebagai orang dengan zero industry experience (sebelumnya pernah kerja sih tapi 2 tahun aja dan itu juga di kampus), menurutku menjalankan bisnis dalam skala sebuah korporasi itu menarik banget sih. Gimana caranya bisa memastikan semua fungsi bisa berjalan secara harmonis dan saling mendukung. Mulai dari proses product development yang mendapatkan input dari consumer dan market research (internal dan eksternal), R&D dan engineering, product testing ke panel, sourcing bahan baku lokal dan internasional, production planning, marketing, selling (online dan offline), distribusi ke semua titik penjualan, memastikan produk memenuhi syarat yang ditetapkan regulator (sertifikasi macam BPOM, halal, dan juga wording klaim yang diatur), dan semua aktivitas lainnya yang harus dijalankan sampai sebuah produk sampai ke tangan konsumen. 
Pas lagi bikin report competitor analysis dan bacain lapkeu perusahaan-perusahaan yang bergerak di industri yang sama, sekarang juga udah mulai ada sense nya deh sedikit-sedikit - perubahan apa yang terjadi dari kuartal lalu, sambil bacain berita-berita tentang market dan strategi mereka yang dipublikasiin. Terus bandingin juga sama kinerja kantor, dan masih suka wow aja sih bahwa perusahaan ini ternyata bisa sebesar ini - jauh lebih besar daripada beberapa nama (dua sih) yang cukup legend si skena kosmetika Indonesia. 
Karena sampe detik ini aku masih jadi Finance Business Partner (Finance BP), jadi paham banget sih kenapa data keuangan itu confidential, dan betapa strategi sebuah perusahaan itu bisa dinalar dari angka-angka dalam P&L. Hadu w emang suka banget numerical data ternyata.
